Logs
After a few days in Wagga returning to Canberra grabbing a number of caches along the way. Used my car keys to open the tin. TFTC.
I didn't know I had logged the only DNF on 17/Apr/2016 (brave enough to admit this, or maybe the only one who's been brave enough to log a DNF) until logging this cache just now. I had no problem finding this today. A good time of year to find this one with the long grass. Snakes are less active at present. Fortunately my keyring can open caches like this. Cache and log are good. I left a fridge magnet. Nice to change to . TFTC baby&Mrs gopher.
We travelled further and further north. Once again, we took a short break here. We, *Filser1* and I, were able to discover the cache after a short search.T4TC
On our way TEMBO! and I managed a quick stop at the Cache location. After a quick search we signed the guestbook. Thanks to baby&Mrs gopher for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
An unloved cache, i.e. not found in more than 6 months. Stopped by the road, and quickly found it.
Replaced the container and the cache is back as it was placed originally. All good to go.
Thanks for the find. Brought 2 friends who don’t have reception, so will log later.
We are away for the next month. We will perform repairs as soon as we are back from South Australia.
Quick find here detoured this way to get another LGA.
Over from New Zealand to attend the Rutherglen Mega. Now heading back to Sydney getting many caches along the way.
Thanks for the cache, baby&Mrs gopher

We had to get our shoes a little wet as we walked through the longish grass to get to gz. We spotted the cache in the first place we looked. Interesting way to hide a container. TFTC!
Lady Thrips asked for some peace and quiet at home and we jumped at the opportunity for a day of caching. It wasn't the best weather for the outdoors, with a real chill in the air and a couple of drizzles along the way, but we dressed accordingly and didn't allow it to deter us. We had a successful day with 15 finds and only 2 DNF's.

Tiptoed through the slush and puddles, strode through the long grass and cache in hand! Signed and replaced.
Tftc Baby & Mrs Gopher, on our way from Coota to Oura, quick find here. All good with the cache.
Hope you are both good too

Out in Wagga celebrating my Dad’s 70th. What better way to celebrate than a drive out to wantebagerry looking for windmills and caches Took some hunting to find this one and I finally spotted it on the ground. Put it back where it belongs. A great day caching with my awesome dad. Thanks for the cache.
I enjoy the drive through Wantabadgery when travelling to and from Wagga. Made the effort to stop this time for an easy find.
Thanks heaps for the cache, was found out in the open, not really sure where its supposed to be hidden, so i moved it to a more descreet spot.
Quick park and grab on our way to pick up some moveables. Found on day two of our Gundagai trip. TFTC.
As the restrictions are now being lifted it is time to enable our hides. Tnx for your patience.
Found this one on the ground, but otherwise OK. Signed log, then replaced where it should be.
Thanks,
Thanks,
I haven't been along this road previously, so I was enjoying my night drive. Luckily I wasn't travelling fast as I surprised a fox on the road. I was able to avoid him, but I think he got a bit of a fright. Found this one quite quickly. Tftc.
Came a cropper on some barbed wire in the grass but survived. This is quite close to the Wanta dump - had to watch the locals taking garbage out.

Geodaughter and geofriend drive to wagga wagga and country for week and She happy help me for find caches in country ... She love it... thanks
Beautiful morning coming into Wantabadgery from Junee past the striking rocky hills and bare paddocks. Thee smoke haze getting a bit stronger here. This cache was just a softening up for those to come - an ingenious way of attaching the container! TFTC
I noticed there was an event in Jugiong this Saturday, and had decided to go to that, then noticed one the next day, with overnight camping beforehand, at Oura Beach - so I decided that this weekend would be a Geocaching weekend ... so, as I was out somewhere else on Friday evening, I got up on Saturday morning and packed camping gear and food, and all my other stuff, and drove from Canberra to the "A Country Town Event #1 Jugiong", then while I was there I found a cache nearby (that I had not found when I was here and looked for it 2 years earlier) then after that event, I went and found a few more in Jugiong, then headed over toward Wagga Wagga to camp overnight, for the the "Come to Oura Camping Event!" which was officially on Sunday morning ... hung around after and found a nearby cache, had a swim and lunch, then found the cache in Oura, before I headed out to Kapooka to find a couple caches there (I had not been there, or even to Wagga Wagga (apart from driving through the edge of town on my way to camp at Oura beach - lol), since I did my Army recruit training back in 1987) then I headed back past Oura (decided that was a more interesting way to go home) and found a few caches here and there on my drive home to Canbera ... and my last find on the way home (between Murrumbateman and Canberra) was actually just after Midnight - oops? - lol
Yesterday I was planning on stopping for everything in this town, on my way through... still was this morning (and to maybe stop for dinner at the camping spot in Jugiong) ... But I kind of took ages to get this far... It is already dinner time... Nearly 7pm in fact ... So it will probably be getting dark before I even get to Jugiong... (It was well and truly dark - Oops... But I was having fun
So... It may only be this one ... or maybe two ... or ... yes, it was all 3 - lol
TFTC - I was a bit worried when my phone led me towards the chopped down tree, but then it sort of sorted itself out and took me zig zagging over to the cache... so actually a nice quick find... followed by several minutes of putting an interesting lump of wood, that I found near the chopped down tree, into my already rather full, and messy, car... it ended up sitting as a front seat passenger (on a half folded up tarp, wearing the seatbelt)
... The interesting wood is destined to either be a garden feature, or maybe even a large bit of cache camo
(or possibly even some strange work of art... Or even "D: All of the above" ? ... lol)

After seeing an event pop up at Jugiong, fitzy_1965 and I decided to camp at Oura Beach and hold our own event the next day. We headed off early Saturday morning with three of my geo-kids, Lovetherabbitohs, death_killer & my_name_jeff_1. Most logs were signed as MK, F65 & geokids.
After the Jugiong event, we head towards Oura. Detoured into Gundagai along the way for a few more caches that I didn't have. Quick park and grab here today.....ok maybe not quick as it was a bit above head height for me.

Travelling from the ACT to Victoria and finding caches as I go. This one was a quick find. TFTC
Found on the ground. Will put it back where we thought correct GZ was. TFTC.
I drove to Cootamundra last night to visit my sister and family to give them their gifts I got them from my recent visit to Spain. We got to talking and I thought lets go caching, so we looked at the map and this little town that I didn't even knew was here was not far so we jumped into the car and off we went on our little afternoon drive. I was amazed how much history this little town had and yep I wanted a badge gerry.......hehehehe.
We got close to gz jumped out of the car and it didn't take long to find the cache, sign log and put back. Such an awesome little down and thanks baby&MrsGopher for bringing us here and TFTC. Another town of smilies.

When Darzee Di came for a visit to entertain me with stories of her recent trip, we decided to hop on over to Wantabadgery for a spot of caching.
While Darzee Di headed back to the car to find a tool, I was able to open the container with the help of a nearby star picket! TFTC

We left early to get a few things done in Wagga which left us plenty of time afterwards to do some exploring. This was the first time we had been through this cool little town and we loved some of the history we learnt while here.

Travelling over to visit the kids for fathers day. Seemed it was time to try another road into wagga. What lovely countryside, certainly nice to see some green after all the brown of the drought. Thus cache was certainly an ancient looking dude. Contents all good. Tftc
On our way from Canberra to Bright, and set up camp nearby to Wantabagery and set out to find the five local caches.
We found this one on the ground. After doing our business, we returned to it to its hidey spot. Bit damp inside.
Thanks baby&Mrs Gopher

Thanks for the hide, and we have enjoyed ourselves caching in wagga over the last few days.
TFTC. We are waiting in Wagga Wagga for a new Solar Controller to arrive and get fitted. What does a catcher do when they have time in their hands. Cache of course!
Last cache in Wantabadgery as we set course back to camp in Wagga. Not your typical bMg hide. A quick find SL and we were in our way.

Yay. Youngest GeoKid found this quickly. They loved the treasures hidden inside. TFTC. Been meaning to come out here for ages and grab these. TFTC.
With a well-deserved day off from work in hand, I decided to go Geocaching. I also decided on the caching trail between Coota and Wagga. This ended up with a 350km round trip which includes a little bit of driving around in wagga for lunch and shopping. Originally between Coota and Nangus (the first little town you come to along this trail), there was only three caches that I hadn’t found until yesterday when two new caches popped up in Coota, which added to the excitement and I also had a bonus FTF on the first cache I found today (GA11467). Unless stated otherwise, all caches were found quickly and were in good condition. On some of the smaller log books/paper I signed as 17/4 JM. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for the fun I had today.
This was next on the list and a nice quick find here. TFTC

I ended up in this little town while chasing windmills so I figured I might as well find the caches here to!

I had the strangest urge last night to go for a long caching road trip this weekend. As soon as I woke up this morning I packed the necessities and prepared a coffee before heading to Wagga Wagga.
I've only cached there once before, but with others who had already poached most of the area. This time I got to choose!
However the long drive lead me by others which I had to sparingly choose only a few as it delayed my arrival to my destination.
A long day that I capped my find total at 100 finds. Tommorow I hope to get just as many on the way home.
Thanks for the caches.

The Canaries had left Gundagai before us, and we had stopped for a few caches on the way. So we expected them to be far ahead of us by this time. So it was with great surprise that we saw them drive past, waving to us as they went, just as we signed the log. They apparently took a wrong turn!
Thanks

Canary had left us again at Gundagai with an agreement to meet again further south. We were travelling with him and Mrs Canary to the Alexandra Mega Event in Victoria. We had stopped for a few caches, so we expected he was well ahead of us. Yet, as we were signing the log for this cache, he passed us by with a wave and a beep. He'd taken some strange Twilight Zone route out of the town and he later couldn't say where he'd been. He was most confused. Thanks
Suscoe was out and about this morning heading to the east of Wagga.
It was a clear morning with blue skies approaching and a delightful day emerging from the night.
The countryside changed from the city to the country and we enjoyed all the views as we headed around the roads.
Thanks to baby&Mrs gopher for this hide.
A lovely area around here.

#6086 - 11:50; Out on a day run with Sol de lune and toy hunters heading south to Gundagai, then west through Junee, on to Grong Grong and home via Ardlethan with a few stops at a number of small country towns along the way. After a visit to the cemetery nearby, it was a relief to make a quick find on this cache as we returned to the main road. TFTC bab&Mrs gopher
Found on a fantastic day trip out around Junee with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n! On our way to Junee, we quickly pulled up beside the road so that we could dash over and sign this logbook! It was a very nice and easy find (great hide actually), however the insides of the container is muddy and wet, so it might need checking out. TNLNSL. TFTC baby&Mrs gopher!

I have been on a two week trip to southwest New South Wales and had time to seek a number of caches along the way. This cache was a straightforward find on the last day.
A large branch has fallen next to the cache but it is undamaged although the log is damp following all the recent rain.
Thank you baby&Mrs gopher for the cache.

Very threatening conditions greeted us today as we (myself, CBRChick & mcktcj) contemplated an anticipated trip out to Junee for two events today. A very wet night & local conditions indicated flooding & we wondered if we would even make it. But optimism won the day & we headed out regardless and the rains eased the further we ventured from Canberra. Quite a few other Canberra geocachers were there, including B737 & family, but we met cachers from all over including Dubbo, Moss Vale and some even from Shepparton ! All in all a good day. Thanks Greg & the Famers 5 team for organising this successful day and great venues.
We chose to take a detour via Wantabadgery on the way home. This one was one the ground beside a fallen tree-limb. Not sure if it was on the limb or already one the ground, but we replaced it similarly.

The word went out that there were two events on in the one day one being in a chocolate factory. New Garmin in hand and some trusty folks from the Canberra Geocaching community to go along with and like they say in the like Blues Brothers “We are on a mission from God.” To the Blues mobile with StrangeTrousers at the wheel and mcktcj guiding the way. The rain eased, none of the roads flooded and a fabulous day of caching followed. Great to see some familiar faces and meet new people who had travelled from as far as Shepparton. Thank you to Greg & the Famers 5 team for organising the events.

We attended the geocaching dinner in Junee and didn't leave till just after 7pm so had a long night ahead of us driving back to Canberra. We were still crazy enough to geocache on the way home despite it being pitch black, and delaying our arrival time even more We couldn't resist the opportunity as we don't know when we will be back here!
Sounds like this cache should be elevated due to the last maintenance log, but it is just lying on the ground. It was to dark to see where it should be!
Thanks!

Our second find in the town on our way back to CBR after the geocaching events in Junee. Found it tucked under the fallen tree branch, probably not where it was originally hidden. TFTC
Well I thought to myself I need a break from everything. So I packed my bags and headed out the door and headed for nsw/Canberra. And the goal was to find some caches along the way so here we are. Thanks for taking me to this location. TFTC.
Okay, I'm not too proud not to log the first DNF for this cache. I looked for the regular cache, but couldn't locate it. But, sigh, some firewood here if anyone wants it.
A quick find here TFTC

Want a Badge Gerry is now back where we placed it. Hopefully won't get wet here. Maintenance done.
Plans were made with one of the FurfacesLL ladies to do a country drive through some towns in a big loop and clean out a few areas. Main targets of the day were Cootamundra and Junee
We had plans to leave at a certain time, however, I foiled those plans when I woke up late, however we still left at a reasonable hour [:p]
It was time to head down to this little town and collect the 3 caches here. The sun was well and truely gone by now so it was caching in the dark for me and FFLL. Nice easy find here however took us a little while to get it open. The container has rusty water in the bottom (which we tipped out) however it hasnt left the contents in the best condition.

The day had come to head out on another geomissin with Rapidlywild, weather was awesome so what better way to spend a Saturday then go caching out in the country side.
Next stop on our journey was this one. Sun had well and truly gone to sleep by now and the stars were so bright. I could have just lay on the bonnet and watched them all night. Saw a shooting star and also something else fly across the sky but not sure what that was.
Back to the cache. Located pretty quickly with our night candles but took a bit to open the cache.
Logging duties performed and then on our way again.
