Container is damaged, and the hint object has been cut down, reluctantly archiving. Thanks to the many finders and great logs!
Found while on the hunt for the Mystery at the Museum jewels. After a miserable wet day and a yucky slimy hill climb we were successful here
1.5T yeah right. Have always wondered if there was actually cache at the sign, close enough.Sapphire gained
By gum mrs found it, in the drizzle.
Wahoo, that should be the next souvenir, for mystery at the museum. Tftc

After a bogus found it log, I decided to check out the cache.
Replaced the tatty log, and cleaned around the tree a bit.

Couldn’t find it lots of gums in the area and a lot of debris everywhere. Original picture was also no help unfortunately.
Had a rummage round but had to keep hold of the dog. Didn’t manage to find it... anyone got any more clues ?
Found the path up and found the gum but unable to spy the cache or was I looking right at it
My gyro was a bit off and we hadn't gone far enough at first. It's all in the name and a sneaky container to boot. TFTC .
Dropped by in the dark while on my way back from the airport. Missed the switchback in the walking track so ended up doing a bit of cross country. Not too bad. Nice hide.
After taking the direct approach - straight up we soon realised that the earlier spotted path was the way to go. Nice quick find by R. TFTC
A frosty up here today but a nice walk all the same. A few magpies up here and the last time I seen some of them they had a go at me But not this time. So TFTC
Took Hevic and I a few minutes to pin down the location of the cache as the GPSr was sending us in totally different directions. When it settled, Hevic spotted the cache rather quickly. We spent a couple of minutes reminiscing about the gums back in Australia - one of the few things I miss about the place. I did briefly consider going for a climb, but with the bark hanging off, I suspected it wasn't a good idea. Cheers!
Mr Rex approached with trepidation, not only at the incline, but also at the fact that during the 2012 MEGA, he was roundly defeated at this very spot. Not so today, armed with steely resolve, 4 more years of experience, and the weightlessness of the school holidays! Thanks Katie!
Don't know what was scarier - seeing the steepness of the path on the way up, or coming back down! Found the cache nevertheless!
Found quickly but unfortunately back up rather quickly and smashed my head on the overhanging and rather hefty bough. Was quite stunned and giddy for a few minutes. But it cleared up and then all I felt was a little silly. Watch out for the tree! Thanks
A brisk stroll up the hill on a sunny afternoon to find a familiar container and some great views over Mosgiel. TFTC
Success at last as we could not find on our visit 2 years ago. This time it was exactly where we thought it would be - a clever hide. TFTC
Looked at the description... Just a small walk up...Hold on!!!??? Surprised to get this one in the dark. TFTC
Second time up the walk way and this time in the dark so pleased eve07 found this one very quickly. (See By Glum log).
Had a good look but will come back when my new gps arrives as my phone was jumping all over the place. Took 3 attempts just to realise there was even a track!
Found it (actually we found it quite a while back). This is the one that got the kids keen on geocaching!
I'm glad we thought to read previous logs because we were on our way up the direct route as well. Found. TFTC
I didn't notice the track on the way in so did some hill climbing to reach this one. A clever cache but you didn't have me stumped long TFTC
I found out, yet once again, tjhat the shortest way is not always the quickest way. There I was following the compass arrow through the long grass which was playing merry hell with my hayfever. In true Ed fashion I scrambled on foot hold after foot hold hand hold after hand hold. Broom flants make for good anchor points for feet and hands. So my arrow is pointing to a gum tree "ah" I said, I talk to myself a lot when I'm out by myself geocaching, with a bit of luck that is the one. But no the GPSr told that rhe cache was still aways off. On to the next one in the right direction, and the next one, and the next one and so on until finally my distance to go was 5m then 0m.
I arrived back at my vehicle with hammered hamstrings and quivering quads.
Oh, by the way, I found the little bugger.

There is nothing wrong as far as I know, go and look, if you don't find it, log a DNF!
Its not a usual type of container, but is bigger than a gumnut! Ha Ha!

After near numerous visits/attempts to find this cache, I couldn't believe how easy it was to find it this morning...and I've found similar containers in the past too. The views are always good. HOTA
Tough little climb, but the kids thought the tree was great for monkeying about in!
Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...

Well, I had had my eyes on this cache for a while now. Closest cache to one of my caches in Dunedin, and I hadn't found it yet!!
Flew into Dunedin on Friday after work for the weekend, and checked up on my own cache on the way. So perfect opportunity to find this cache!!
I found it pretty much instantly, as after navigating the hill... phew! It was hot! ... I then managed to lay my eyes straight on it, as these caches seem to stick out quite a bit now. I could totally break into someones house who keeps one of these! hehehe

Was given this one by a friend as one to find. A good hide that has had some people stumped. Thanks for the hide.
Finally found with a lot if help! Thanks! Do glad to finally have found it after sooo many visits.....
A steep but short climb followed by a short search soon had this one in the hand. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Nearly threw this one away before realizing what it really was. Found with debsnz
It took three attempts, but I finally figured where to look. The GPS signal bounced about a lot. TFTC

Well i climbed the mountain twice before my lovely partner found the cache, its so obvious once its found isnt it TFTC
Out and about caching with rosmar during the mega event. We met (I think) J n' K here, who warned us the coords might be a bit off, but we found them to be very good, so must have been a technology hiccup in there somewhere. Quick find after the short climb up the hill. TFTC!!!
4775. Stayed in Dunedin after the Mega Event for a couple of days geocaching. This was cache find number nineteen of the first day. A tricky cache find even though the GPS took us to the spot after we had managed to find a parking spot quite close by. We were joined by a couple of other geocachers as we sheltered under the tree from a severe hailstorm - isn't geocaching exciting??!! Dealt with the barbed wire first by throwing it far away. Then found the cache. Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
By Gum I hate hills but then ask RuruNZ which way she took - there appears to be many ways to get to the gz but I chose to stick to the path while she went cross country and we met up again just on a bend where I was asked how I managed to get there. At the actual gz we met up and helped search with The Sallies (Mr) who had come from another direction all together. Eventually found after deciding that the red road cone at the top was not the cache. Thanks for making my lungs have a workout again.
We were in Dunedin for the NZ Mega event and we were out and about finding caches in the company of Funkymunkyzone. On arrival at the parking area we meet up with several other cachers and stopped for a chat. Made our way to GZ and soon found the hidden cache. Coordinates were spot on for us. TFTC.
good little walk up to the cache, good little hide. Met other cachers while there. (mega weekend)
Well I should have shook the container I found last time, cos I did have the cache in hand! Duh! Found while heading home after NZMega. TFTC
If there its a hard way to get top a cache I'll find it. Then made it harder by heading for the wrong gum by 30m. Kiwicampnut took the path and I emerged to meet her. Said I knew there was an easier way and a choice further up replied. It was the Sallies who had simply walked across grass. A bit of a hunt, eliminated the red cone at the top of the tree ($30 each, send to Christchurch if retrieved) and them found the real cache. Meet the Sallies at the bottom to make sure they took the right turn to Mollywood, and also meet 10centpiece there.
Thanks for the workout.

Found at 12:00 PM GAFF2 in the company of Browngang and Juddda. A bit tough as it was totally buried.
Thanks katie w
Thanks katie w
Found with pprass and Juddda. We are now all jambed into the one geowagon today, all together and this was one of many finds for the day. This was not quite what we were looking for so took a bit longer than it possible should have.
Cheers from Browngang

1505, GAFF5, Found in the company of Pprass and Browngang whilst out and about in Dunedin all packed into a Geominivan today
This one took longer than anticipated and was not what we expected, we soon located the hide.

Well the short walk didn't seem so short with that gradient but the cache was found after not too much searching. TFTC
Approached this from the other direction and found after a bit of a search and chat with some other cachers. TFTC #4011
Out for a day of caching at the Mega. Sun, rain, hail, sun, rain, hail, repeat. A fun day! TFTC!!
On our way back to NZ MEGA HQ we stopped for these couple of caches. A short uphill walk was quite the adventure. It's quite steep with sliding stones and rocks. Got up high enough and it was a matter of working out which gum we needed. A nice quick find. Thanks katie w for the cache. Nice camo. Now, just to get down without a slide and we'll be right.
