Auf unserer 3 wchigen Tour durch NZ, auf der Sdinsel gelandet. Nach den Milford Spunds ging es in den Sden. Probe bestanden, der Leuchtturm leuchtet im Dunkeln.
This is my last geoacache of our quick Southland visit to catch up with family. We have been out to Waipapa lighthouse before and enjoyed our second visit just as much as the first. Cache in good condition but does need a new log book. Fav point given for location
Wonderful spot. No fur seals today. Have to say I tripped on the way up here and landed cast, similar to falling skiing with your head down the slope. Sisso 2 had to aid the recovery and cache was in hand. Log book full.
This was quite a breezy rainy day to explore but it was beautiful!! This is my first time to the area. The waves were crashing everywhere.
Out in a family trip and stopped to look at the lighthouse, very windy! After waking through the long grass I quickly grabbed this one and a trackable inside! TFTC
Found with my daughter, it was fun to walk in the tall grass !The box is enough bit, so we took advantage of it to drop our travel bug, hope it will make a nice trip to our home Tftc !
Hi, I recommend better shoes than flip flops. beautiful view and beautiful cache thank you we leave TB
Went to the lighthouse. Occasionally checked the geocaching map, and indeed there was a cache. Wonderful. Wanted to take the trackeble a bit back to Germany but it was not in there anymore
So we went to see seals and sea lions, but it rained, and somehow we didnt saw any we got wetin the grass and now heading for the Gore:) Tx from the Czech Republic!
Had to check a few spots before finding it, I'm glad New Zealand doesn't have snakes!Tftc, found with MUGGLE Nicole.
We had to think twice about doing this cache as there was a roaring gale and some heavy showers today - but we could see the hint item from the steps, so we took a chance that we wouldn't get blown away or drenched. The chance paid off. Cache is all good. Took a TB. TFTC
We are staying in Fortrose for a few days the end of our Catlins tour. Been a very mixed bag of weather so havent been able to explore as much as we wanted. Today I am out for a bike ride first to get a couple of caches near Fortrose and then out to Waipapa Point and back. Ended up with 7 caches and a 42km ride.A wee scramble up to GZ - which I was happy with considering all the people wandering around. Now time for the windy ride back to the caravan.
What a nice spot! Logged this one to document our trip through New Zealand. TFTC
Found it on a rainy day during our lighthouse visit together with Laira007. TFTC.
Great thanks - little tricky to get to with a 6 year old but we got there - log book is chocka - cheers Louie and dad
Didn't get too close as I could see that getting to GZ would require me to go off-trail into bush and there are signs everywhere saying stick to the track.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case kiwiarmy, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.
On our trip through the Catlins we found a few caches. Nice view again from here. TFTC
Had a great time here. Would recommend Waipapa point over Slope Point for the beach and views and great photo opps. Easy to find. Logbook looked full. Tftc.
A lighthouse made of timber in this exposed location! The waves were pounding the rocks today. Quick find of the cache following the cacher trail. We dropped off our TB to begin its journey at the furthest point from home. It has 19000kms to travel to get home
Wat een mooie vuurtoren. We waren hier zonder andere toeristen. Op het strand lag een zeeleeuw te slapen. Cache snel gevonden. TFTC, greetings from the Netherlands.
A stop on the road to Curio Bay to see this lighthouse. The cache is easily found thanks to the hint. Thank you for putting a cache on this beautiful place.Greetings from France
I did not really think this was as described by the clue. Really? A post up there? But there it was. TFTC

This was the last stop on a beautiful day of driving, walking and exploring. Late in the day, the lighthouse looked glorious in the early evening light. Thanks for the hide.
Having a great time touring round Southland with my family, very wild and blustery today, saw some sea lions ! Thanks for the cache
But of a bush bash to find it but lovely day for it.
Log book is damp, nearly full. Didn't log in the book as I didn't bring a pen and there wasn't one in the cache.

Amazing spot to explore. Unfortunately very windy and spotty rain today. Undeterred walked around lighthouse then collected. Brrr its cold.
What an amazing spot. We have loved exploring around the lighthouse on this beautiful Autumn day. TFTC .
Our first visit to Waipapa Point and it is a popular place to be on this sunny day. Crashed around checking a few hint objects before gaining this smiley. The coordinates are spot on, thanks kiwiarmy.
Thanks for the cache. I saw this disaster discussed on Coast New Zealand.

Loved the history lesson and walk to the Lighthouse with the bonus of an easy cache find. Fascinating seeing all the prior caching trails leading to and from GZ. TFTC kiwiarmy.
