Thanks! Nice little find and we enjoyed the kiln. The cache is a little waterlogged though
We had GZ calculated from a previous visit, but ran out of time to go look for the cache. We were having a spot of bother trying to find another cache nearby, so I stayed behind to keep searching and Steve made a solo run for this cache.Apparently it was a quick find. Thanks hi pressure for placing the cache in such a beautiful location, and to BernieH for taking over the maintenance.
This cache is available for adoption. Please contact Cache Guardians using the Message system.
In the area to finish off this and a few other multis. I had got a photo of the info needed previously so a little bit of homework and i was soon able to locate this cache, with no need for bush bashing which was nice. The log was in good condition although there was a bit of water in the box which i drained out. The log is well protected in its bag so all good. TFTC.
Staying a few night at Kurth Kiln campground with my 2 daughters and today my wife turned up as she was still at work yesterday, grabbed the info required to get to gz sign log. Thanks for the cache
Container was full of water which I drained out. Ziplock bag still keeping logbook nice and dry
Found with Bernislabo tried to bush bash across with no success had to go the long way around
Log was completely soaked through.

Thanks for the Cache HiPressure,
Out this morning exploring Kerth Kiln and picking up a few Geocaches. It's a wonderful day for the middle of winter, top of 15 they say, bit cold this morning though. Found the clues I needed and one I didn't 690.5 bricks (only kidding), hard to say, a half brick is still a brick, should it be counted as one or half, kind of like haystacks. After finding the Co-ords I headed off to the GZ to find nothing. Did a rework of my figures to find that I was about 50 Metres out.
The Cache has been wet and the Log book is more a Water Logg book, but a small replacement log was enough to sign and the feeling of success soon followed.
Regards from Victourer

Quickly crunched the numbers after returning from our 14 km walk today.
Quickly found the container which was half full of water!!!
Tiled it out and discovered 3 separately bagged logs!!!
Luckily the only dry one was the current active one.
The other 2 bags were open and logs are paper maché, sad to say.
The hide site looks like it readily fills with water, maybe even drowning the cache.
TFTC and bringing us to the historical location.

Tftc hi pressure. We've never been to this site before but we're glad we decided to take our lunch hamper to have a picnic here. It was a great Autumn day.
Tried to find the trad on the way to this one but no luck there.
Cache is good shape but was quite waterlogged.

The last cache for the day for Crustyvarmint, Pilot and me. Our intrepid little trio was starting to grow weary so it was really nice to have this one to finish with. I enjoyed reading about the kiln and its life, enjoyed wandering about it and also enjoyed the walk to locate the cache and sign the log.......and there weren't any leeches here...woohoo! Thanks hi pressure for the cache.
One challenge that I had never thought that I would even complete was the Multicache Month Challenge Cache. However this year I've been trying to do more Multicaches. After chatting with a friend I checked and it being the 26th of December I've already found 23 Multicaches, more than any other month. As such time to collect some more Multicaches today.
Passing thru after Hounding in Warburton and I still had some time and thought I had a few Multicaches in this area that I needed to collect. I had already worked out the multi part of this Multicache, but ran out of time before I could collect it.
After strolling towards GZ, I could see the likely looking hide. Walked straight there, and found it. Log book is wet, but the replacement paper was all good to go.
Thanks for the cache Cache Guardians

GZ worked out...no attempt made at counting the bricks lol. Again loved the hint. Cache located but both log books are saturated..temp log sheet and zip lock bag added.
It was interesting reading about the kiln and seeing pictures of the modified car power plants - how lucky are we not to have to use charcoal!! The log is very wet and needs some love
We did the working put for this years ago but we were too pooped on that day to go to the final. We hoped pie coords were still good and went to GZ today. Whoo hoo all good with that. Unfortunately not all was good with the cache. It was half full of water and all the contents are a sopping mass

After attending Freddy’s birthday lunch event, we soon found the required information to get to GZ.
We soon had what was required and the map looked good for its retrieval.
So PrezDough, Robert740 and myself stomped up the muddy trail and made some friends along the way that also were on a similar mission.
Initial coordinates did not lend itself to a swift find. Fortunately the extended group managed to get the find here and the resounding call of FOUND IT was proclaimed.
Despite the coordinates on our end, this was a great cache to find.
The log is a terribly damp and probably needs a replacement or a decent drying out.
If you happen to challenge yourself here, bring a new log book.
I visited 3 TB.

Nice clear hint meant cache was quickly found. Very soggy, although stamp managed it OK.

Out and about today to attend a couple of events and pick up some caches along the way.
A lovely area. Cache was found in obvious location. LeeLee picked up a hitch-hiker ?? a leech. Big scream. Steve did the honours to remove, probably more to stop me screaming.
Thanks hi pressure was a hi pressure situation ??

Found by Mary and David at at 12:15. So much information to read and absorb. Worked out the coordinates for the final, which we managed without any problems. Loved the walk despite the drizzle. Cache contents are very wet, and we were barely able to sign the log. Our thanks to Cache Guardians.

After lunch and back from the First to find hunt, people had moved on. I was starting this cache earlier, but had to move to get service for the description, when I noticed the FTF pop up so off i went. CAme back to make light work of the coordinates and off I walk. Very wet under foot. But found easily enough. Log books are a little wet.
Found with a crowd after the party fun. What a fabulous walk around. Incredible trees and fab caches - perfect! Thanks for the caches and the fun.
Found and signed with dalerious on a day that saw us at 2 events but not much caching due to the extreme weather. Torrential rain and sleet made it a short day in this beautiful part of the world.
This was a very enjoyable multi which went smoothly from start to finish. Surprisingly good to see all the buildings and interpretive sinage in excellent condition.
Cache found after a lovely walk through the forest.
Thank you hi pressure.

We had no chance of making the breakfast event, but rising before dawn, catnap777 and I made good time to get to the CITO and do our bit for Gembrook Park before meandering our way towards the kiln to help beckNmonts celebrate Manfred's birthday.
Before the rest of the crowd arrived at the shelter however, catnap777 and I made a quick detour to discover the other half of this excellent multi walking to GZ in a light rain.
We signed a very soggy log right beneath maccamob's mark.
TFTC hi pressure, and thanks for not making us count all those bricks.
There was a 4th event on nearby this day, but after the driving rain and sleet that fell between lunch and dinner, we gave the "pizza in the bush" one a miss too.

After celebrating Manfred's birthday with a big lunchtime party event right next to the Kiln, Chook partnered up with Gemmasistema and Posums for an afternoon walk to find some caches, and this was one of them. The kiln is very impressive, as was the heritage display of the gas producers. TFTC hi pressure, and for bringing us here.
I was over this way for the weekend to attend all of Manfred’s birthday events.
Unforeseen circumstances resulting in me missing his birthday breakfast this morning but after the CITO and a few others caches in between I managed to catch up with Manfred at his birthday lunch event and wish him a happy second birthday
So after attending the CITO and finding a few caches in between it was time to catch up with Manfred and wish him a Happy 2nd Birthday.
Just after lunch everybody started looking at their phones as a new set of caches in this area was just released.
After finding a few of the new caches Gemma mentioned about the couple of older caches in the area so Gemma, Luke, chooknchunk and I found the information required got some coords and we all set off along the track.
Soon located the cache and now to head back and find the car.
Thanks hi pressure and Cache Guardians TFTC

Spending the weekend camping with a group of friends at the scout loop campground. We set off for a walk to the kilns and after gathering the required info I managed to convince the group to make a longer loop back to camp via this multi.
The log was soaked but I was still able to sign it.
Thanks Cache Guardians for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

I joined my sister and family for a walk along the Tomahawk Creek track. We were going to do the Thornton Walk too but the kids lost interest after playing in the creek. I did the calcs for this while the kids were playing and they made the quick find before heading home.

Went for a little drive this morning and finished up at a cache. how weird is that?
Twas a nice walk through the woods on this beautiful sunny morning, this is good for the soul
A nice easy find today and the cache was found in reasonable condition. The current log book was a little damp but the original log book in a separate plastic bag was wet. Could use a good dry out if someone is heading this way for a picnic.

Great spot. My first mulit. Loved the challenge of working out the cords. FIDDLER300 had a bit of trouble finding it. We were looking on the wrong side of the track. Tftc
Out caching with day1976, he has done most caches out this way and I had found nearly none, but it was still within my 25km lockdown radius and we were trying to avoid crowds on this long weekend. Lovely spot to come. Cache container had a little water in it and logbook was damp, but was still able to be written on. I tipped the water out and placed it back where I found it.
After Manfreds successful find earlier on, we headed to this one. Did he make the find? No. This time he was polite enough to wait and let me search! Thanks for placing the cache Cache Guardians.
Found it! The equation in the clue had us chasing our tails for a bit (we went full engineer when calculating, and multiplied the brackets)
Don't overthink the clue- we treated the clues as a math equation- so we BODMAS'd the equations in brackets (solve the brackets then multiply by the number on the left of the bracket).
It's not a math equation really. It's literally just working out the last 3 digits of the GPS coordinates separately. So for South for example, the first number is F , the second number is M, the third number is (K+N).
That's it. Don't overthink it and try to do advanced BODMAS

We headed to Kurth Kiln Regional Park for a few days of camping before the long weekend. After the visit to the Kiln I obtained the information needed for GZ. We then set off for a look. I was on the wrong side of the path and it was my partner who found it. Cache all fine here, though the leech I found on my leg afterwards was not much fun. TFTC!
Bit of a wet morning but we escaped with the kids for a short explore and cache. Thanks for bringing us to the kiln, had no idea it was here.
First time doing a cache with having to find the coordinates.... took me a bit to work out the location but was relieving to know that my coordinates were correct and took me straight to the cache... another great hide
Had a brief look for this one today while camping nearby and realized later I had plugged in the wrong figures and was looking in the wrong GZ.
It was my first visit to the area but won't be the last.
It was my first visit to the area but won't be the last.
With the year nearly over it was time to try and close out some caches from my lists that I had solved or were challenges I had met.
With fading light I collected the clues and admired the structure.
Jogged to GZ and made a quick find.
Thanks to hi pressure for the placement and fun.

Count the number of bricks! Holy sh... oh wait - ha!
This cache was published just as we were departing the state of Victoria to move to PMQ. At that time we had found just about every cache within a 100 kms of where we lived in Wantirna South, so if we were still living there when this cache was published on Thursday 12 Nov 2009, we would have found it on Sat 14, or Sun 15 Nov thus beating Rebel Acts who got the FTF on Mon 16 Nov [^]
Thanks Cache Guardians and to Day76 for taking the cache over to look after it.

Worked out coordinates then a quick walk first obvious place and bingo. I love it out here, grew up near here and always love coming back. TFTC.
We had been camping in the Kurth Kiln area and were just picking up a few caches on the way out with ilook4geo. It was another wet and dismal day, but at least we made successful finds at all of the caches we looked for.
This was a nice easy multi cache and the new numbers were spot on. Walked along the track from the closest parking area and found the cache quickly. We added two more signatures on the log, replaced into position and continued with the hunt. Thank you, hi pressure, for this cache placement.

Camping out with goingplaces2 in Kurth Kiln Regional Park, so went for a drive to pick up a few caches. Good multi with easily gathered info. Signed log and replaced. TFTC.
Upgraded the booty with significant swaps. Left trackable. Bitterly cold day to stand in place for long- off to the next GZ.
Nice location and walk with wrens. Needs better swaps people. We upgraded some.
I’m trying to fill in some dates on my calendar so this one was today’s.
Joined by my muggle daughter who hates caching and geodog Murphy, we headed to this spot, one I’ve been meaning to visit for years. After seeing the kiln and getting the required information, we found the cache quickly then kept walking to see some more of the park.
After the easy walk to the cache we managed to find a few steep bits on the way back that got the heart rate monitors in our watches flashing like mad . A lovely walk in a beautiful area.
Thanks hi pressure for bringing us here

Kurth Kiln brings back a lot of great memories of my scouting years so it was fitting for this to be my first overnight camping trip away with my two boys. The clues at GZ had me second guessing whether I had them correctly calculated as I thought this would land us closer to the creek. It was not to be the case and there was no trouble finding the container at GZ. A cache worth preserving due to the location. tftc
Visited Kurth Kiln Park two months ago (first visit in over ten years) and picked up a few caches hereabouts at the time, but with light fading I decided to leave this one for another day, and just took a couple of reference photos to work out GZ for another day.
And so today turned out to be that day. With co-ords worked out this morning and the final GZ looking like it made good sense when plotted on a map, I came, I parked, I walked, I quickly found.
Signed the slightly damp log and emptied some water out of the container. Thanks for the cache and the reminder of some fascinating local history, hi pressure.

What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo ) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota and the Snowy Mountain Highway [^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun
The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantime[:X] From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria [^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(] to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night
I made a find on a previous DNF at Moe then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo [:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^], seeing a huge Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area , finding my 1st 3D printed cache container and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsula[^]
Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkers, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly [^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos and standing on the eastern coast of Vic and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa
Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill ) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip
Seeing brumbies amongst the snow along the edge of the road at night in the mountains in NSW [^], seeing a thermal pool early in the morning with steam rising from it in the cold air and water plants growing up from the sandy bottom [^], seeing the grave of the alleged Man from Snowy River while finding the multi The Man from Snowy River - HCPPP [^] and then chatting to SciFiRulz who I managed to sneak in a quick visit with before heading home and finding The Highest Railway Station on the way
Over the 8 days there was 9 DNFs (although I did manage to find a few on my 2nd attempts ), 1 CITO event attended and a total of 111 cache finds including 3 FTFs
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

We came to Kurth Kiln for the nearby tribute cache, and learned some things here afterward.
This time, it was AlphaDeltaIndigo that made the find... and one of those finds that sparks some robust discussion about the meaning of the hint.
Thanks, hi pressure, for the interesting multi, and Cache Guardians for keeping this, and many others, in the game for us all to enjoy.

On a mission to celebrate leafotwind's 3000th cache with the finale to an epic chase around the state, I found myself riding shotgun in locus cache's infamous Harry, in convoy with the milestone achiever (of course), ahomburg, n0w0rries +Wife, AlphaDeltaIndigo, and sundry canines.
Half of the time, I wouldn't have been able to tell you where I was, but we celebrated in style, with a tree climb or two, a huge workout up Gentle Annie and some fantastic caches on the 4X4 tracks and forest roads east of Cockatoo.

After finding my 3000th a group of us were on the way to a couple of T5s but we stopped off for a couple. One of the group consisting of myself, n0w0rries +Wife, ahomburg, ADI and nirgalagrin had the finals so those who hadn't found this one already trotted off to GZ.
ADI and I reached it first. I went for the more concealed stump in the bushes, ADI spotted the more likely candidate a few metres distant off the track.
Guess it pays to hang back and wait for your GPSr to settle.

Caching buddies: leafotwind, locus cache, nirgalagrin, ahomburg, n0w0rries +wife
After LOTW's 3k celebration...
There was a bit of confusion between a stump and a log. But after spreading the search, I spotted the stump in question! This one, if hollow, could fit me in, perfectly!

We stayed overnight in the camping area and enjoyed a campfire with friends. Found the cache this morning. Thanks for the adventure hi pressure.
The geo kids and I were up visiting the geo parents for a trip out in the 4WD to see some of the locations around Kurth Kiln Regional Park & the Bunyip State Park. It was a great day out and we were able to stop for a few caches along the way. A very interesting area and a nice walk after working out the numbers needed. The geo kids were excited to find this one themselves.
**Thanks to hi pressure for hiding this multi cache for us to find and enjoy**

Was a lovely walk to it once we had read about the kiln and figured out the co-ordinates. Found it easy with death303 by my side even saw a kookaburra.
Don't know what I did to get wrong coordinates. I thought I had the right numbers. Will have to check them again before trying again. I ended up a long way from initial coordinates and in dense bush way above my head. Luckily I made it back to the car, but no cache that I could find.
I've been in this area so many times, but every time I have been rushing to do this or that and never actually attempted this cache. Today I was in the area doing some of my own cache maintenance with Geojosiah and finally got around to calculating the numbers and enjoying a short stroll.
Thanks hi_pressure for the cache!

Caching the area today with Papillon4506 and Geoturtle37. I recognised this place straight away. I've been here before. Think it was a Show n Shine event.
Anyhoo, we really loved the history and the walk. Thanks for bringing us here today.

Find whilst we were in the area finishing off a whereigo. Great to learn some more history of the area and even better when you can still see it for yourself.
A nice easy stroll to GZ. Even though our GPS's had us on the other side of the track, OHC soon had the cache in hand. We all signed it, returned it and wandered back to the car.
When we arrived, there were at least 4 kookaburras in the parking area with others nearby.
Thanks for the history lesson and the cache in a great location.

Tried 2 days ago for this one muggles & campers all over joint, so I returned today, much quieter,
Nobody about except 3 german backpackers which were very nice, but they had a cold night in aus
Had the numbers 2 days ago so it was off to find the prized smiley & didn't take long.
Thanks for bringing me back here again... TFTH... C/G

Camping in Kurth Kiln National park with my family and spent a day geocaching.
Nice multi cache.

Today we explored the area between Cockatoo and Three Bridges using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. A straight forward multi and an easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

We were driving in the area today having had a particular cache on the list, it was ticked off & this one was too close to ignore. Clues gathered while the pooch whined in the car, a quick scoot down the road a wee bit further & the car was dumped in favour of a walk which the dog prefers, although none too impressed about not getting off leash. Cache found safe & well without too much difficulty. Saw an echidna meandering across the track on the return journey but didn't get too close in case our geodog got interested. He was completely oblivious as Mr Echidna slipped away into the undergrowth...always so cool to see a bit of fauna when out bush especially ones that don't have scales! TFTC & the interesting bit of history.
This multi has been taunting me from the map for some time. It was always a tiny bit further away than I was prepared to travel. It's nice to have finally discovered what it entails. The information at the starting coordinates was located with ease and the cache itself was in a fairly prominent location at GZ. I ain't got no money, ain't a VIP, but I sincerely felt one this was quite good. Thanks hi pressure and Cache Guardians!
Found it! I had gathered the required information and worked out GZ a couple of weeks ago. Today Muggle Heather and I were reconnoitring a walk of the Walkabouters and found this cache along the way. We had started at Kirth's Kiln and walked along tracks that followed the Old Watercourse. It was a quick and easy find at GZ. Muggle Heather grabbed this one from the hiding place. TFTC SL
Found it! Mark and geokids 1, 2 & 4 had been picking up a few around Gembrook and waited until the crowd had cleared a bit from the Kirth Kiln historical day before attempting this find. The info at the initial WP was easy to get however the the route we chose to make our way to the final waypoint was far from simple. As usual we did our best to turn the easy into the hard and found ourselves on the wrong side of a creek that wasn't on the map. Of course this wouldn't have been a major issue if 2 of the geokids hadn't been wearing shorts because with creeks come leeches and even though we never did actually find one, the fear factor resulted in a fair bit of backtracking before we finally found ourselves on a track that lead us straight to the cache. So after about an 1/2 an hour of wandering about Geokid 2 made the find in about 1/2 a second. Thanks to the guardians for taking on this excellent multi that turned out to be a real adventure for us...TFTC...
Great news these caches will soon be adopted. recent maintenance means the cache is all fresh and ready to go.
Out and about for St. Valentines with my geo family, after being up in Britannia creek near Wesburn we ended up here for lunch. I'm always keen to do hi_pressure caches as I never know when they are going to be gone,. I read that this one had a soggy log and bag so I was keen to fix that up and avoid anyone logging NM and possibly ending in a reviewer archiving it due to hi_pressures absence from the game.
The coords were worked out easily and I decided to do the walk along geo hubby took a tumble in Britannia creek earlier and his knee was quiet sore. I left them to puddle about near the water while I went for a quick walk.
GZ was located quickly and the cache opened. It was full of water and the swaps were yuck, I took them out drained the water and left a new log book in a new bag, I hope it continues a long and happy life.
TFTC hi_pressure SL took all the old yucky swaps and left a new log and bag TBV - your welcome

Found quickly once we found the right target. Contents were quite wet but didn't have time to let it dry out. Did what we could but would be worth someone taking a knife or something pointy and putting a small hole in the bottom to let the water out. TFTC.
I don't believe this place, I have lived less than 15 km from here for 25 years and I never knew it was like this. I've seen lots of other historical sights in the area, but they are usually rusting and crumbling heaps.
I stopped and got the information required and then followed midho's suggestion to go for the nearby trad before going to grab this one. Thanks hi pressure

Spot on. Thank you. Top tip. Get this one when you do the local traditional. It'll save a long walk
Last for the day. Try as we may, after reading every sign, we still were not able to identify when the kiln was first fired.
We found that the first batch of charcoal was produced in February 1942, but that means for the kiln to have been first fired in March, it had to have been the year before, in 1941, except, the kiln was only built in 1941.
Too much on the maths, and too little information available to solve it.

We had a lovely time camping nearby and completing a few geocaches whilst there. This one was a nice easy multi cache which had us checking out the kiln. The whole cache container was quite damp. We drained it out as best we could but didn't have any replacements with us. TFTC,
We have been here to Kurth Kiln on many occasions, mostly before we started geocaching.
Today we were in the area doing some cache maintenance and then stopped near the kiln for lunch.
Once the numbers were collected we took a stroll to GZ.
The cache was soon found and the log signed.
There was some water in the cache and the log book was a tiny bit damp, I dried it all out the best I could and replaced the cache.
I didn't see any wild life, it must have been siesta time for them.
Sadly we came across the work of some tree vandals in the area.
Thank you for a lovely after lunch walk and for the multi cache.
