As we head quickly toward the end of 2024, we decided along with fellow Victorians Suscoe, to make an effort to tidy up our cache finds and the appearance of our geo-maps before we begin setting our goals for 2025. A trip to Wagga Wagga was arranged and we thoroughly enjoyed finding a range of different caches, many very cleverly created by CO's.Our last day in Wagga Wagga and temperatures forecast into the mid 30's, so the same strategy as previous days - caching in the morning and then mostly did Adventure Labs in the afternoon, with a few passing caches chucked in for good measure. This was one of the caches we found today as we worked our way around the geo-map cleaning up Lab caches and the occasional Bonus cache. Our thanks to 'lgoody' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.38481*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
A sunny and hot day followed Suscoe today as we cached with our great friends Phetlern. We had a most enjoyable day together. We headed to the Charles Sturt Uni area of North Wagga and surrounds and then back across the Murrumbidgee to find a few more Ad Labs and caches on a hot afternoon. We left our joint sticker on the log sheets as well as writing our names on a few logs.Thank you to all the cache owners for the work that you have put into the caches that we found. We enjoyed the effort put into the containers and the locations. Thanks to igoody for this hide.
Had a really good look for this one but with the amount of leaf material at GZ it has beaten me today.
Today we explored Wagga Wagga and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. We enjoyed travelling through the countryside and visiting new, to us, locations. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. This took some time to find, but after reading previous logs we finally made the find. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Duke's creek was full of water when I visited. Not dry a dry creek bed - more like Duke's Lagoon It was a hot day so I was glad of the cool shelter provided by the culvert under the road. Tricky little spot that did indeed rock! tftc. tnls.

After getting myself onto the right road, I got to GZ and soon spotted the cache. The logbook is rather wet but I carefully wrote my name in it.

On previous visits to Wagga, we could never work out how to access this one. Today we found a useful walking track that took us right there! We even had a chat about geocaching with another walker on the path. SL at 4.40pm #8833 and now to book into our accomodation for the night. TFTC lgoody
Found the right approach to GZ and made a quick find on what could have taken quite some time.
After a longer stay in Tumut than we had originally intended it was time to move on. Time spent with family is never wasted though, so our time there was very well spent and much enjoyed.
We didn't move far however and have arrived in Wagga for a few days where we have caught up with Roosterman and Mrs Roosta again and then also joined by Rebel Acts. The team back together!
The weather has been variable and made approaching some caches challenging due to the accumulated water and mud. And boy has it been cold at times!
Still we have chased a variety of caches and managed to find some high D/T ones on our way.
Always a great time caching with good friends.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache lgoody.

Had some spare time in Wagga today so had a go at this one. Found without any troubles, signed log and replaced TFTC
Made the same mistake as others, started too high. Found a snake skin as well, TFTC.
GPS took us way to far up but found it! HINT- you don’t need to climb any higher than 1m off the ground !
Maintenance run today found that the cache was missing replaced and all ready to go again
Our first ever find so took a lot longer as we didn’t know what we were looking for but a lot of fun!
With a long weekend in Canberra, a geocaching trip away was calling us. So FurfacesLL and myself made plans to hit the road and revisit Wagga Wagga to do some more caching. A large range of caches were collected, many terrain and some lovely country views enjoyed.
I had found this one back on 06/10/2013 however the FFLL ladies had not found it, so we made sure to call past today to revisit and get the FFLL ladies into the log. The location is just as I remember
Thanks for the hide lgoody And thanks to FFLL for another fun weekend out and about the Wagga and surrounds region

With a long weekend looming plans were hatched to go and do some caching in Wagga
Wagga. So Rapidlywild and only the monkey half of the FFLL team hit the road on Friday after
work.
A lot of different caches were found while driving around the area enjoying the views and
the lovely weather.
After refueling on food it was time to go and collect more in the area. RW had previously found this one so it made the find pretty quick.

When I was up at Ungarie a few weeks ago and I started the WWW trail I hatched a plan. I knew the rest of my family was going away for the school holidays and so I decided that I would head to Wagga for an overnight trip and try and find 100 caches in a day for the first time. At that point I had collected 50 (and then last weekend I got 54) in a single day, but triple figures was really only possible with a powertrail - and the one The Drovers had set up was worth the effort. So I took a day off work and headed up to make the attempt before everyone gets back tomorrow. Thankfully the weather was not as hot as yesterday so it was a pleasant day driving the blue road grader on the trails north of Wagga.
Up at 5:30 with the first cache at 6AM and by 4PM I had the 100 caches - in the end I got 117 (1 multi, 2 virtuals, 3 earthcaches and the rest Trads - the one solved puzzle was too busy even at 6:30AM). I saw one big Brown Snake, added a couple of birds to my annual list (including Crimson Chats near Gumly Gumly), and saw lots of Caper Whites. Also got plenty of grazes, banged both shins on logs, got a splinter under one fingernail, and suspect I will lose another after dropping a rock on an unlogged Roostaman hide. Climbed a few trees, founds some clever caches and generally had a fantastic time.
Another I meant to grab on the way north but missed the turn off - looking the wrong side. Lots of traffic but eventually got down the quiet road. Walked the tunnel and at the far end started my search which was over very quickly. Cache was in the first spot I looked - not certain if a different container or has been put in the more open but I signed the log and returned as found.

Grateful that this was a quick find as the weather isn't great. Thanks for placing a cache here.
We thought this might have been a little harder to find than it was. We were grateful for the quick find as the weather today is not really suitable for caches that are going to take some time to locate. Thanks for placing this one.
Went out to have my third attempt at this cache before it was muggled again. However it has been moved so hopeful this time it will be safer this time.
An easy find this time, signed and returned to its home place.
Thanks for the cache lgoody LilDonna

After an extensive run along a couple of series trails today, we decided to add this one last cache as we had met the owner along one of the trails this morning. We waited firstly while a very slow horse and rider wandered down the track, through and on their way. We then made our way to GZ and soon found what we wanted. The log was duly signed and all was replaced carefully so muggles won't find it.
Thank you to lgoody for this final cache placement that we hound today before returning to camp.

Having the day free and not being away meant I could finally attempt this new trail between Coolamon and Wagga Wagga. Having seen who the CO is ‘The Drovers’, I knew it was going to be a mixture of easy and difficult to find caches. I arrived at cache #1 at 12:25pm and left from the last one at 3pm. I then decided on have a snack at Macca’s and find a couple of other caches that I hadn’t found yet but have been meaning to. All caches I found today are in great shape and ready for the next finders. Thank you ‘Drovers’ for the great trail and thank you to all other CO’s of the caches I found and for the fun I had today.
Today’s totals:
16 Finds
3 DNF’s
2 Not Attempted
After Macca's I decided on one more cache and it happen to be this one on my way out of Wagga on my way home. A quick find here and now I know way it is called Dukes Creek. TFTC

No luck today, had 2 sets of eyes and couldn't get a smiley for Mother's Day. Lol
No find for us today though we were running out of light and the rain had started. So we called it and headed to the hotel for dinner. Thanks anyway
Inspected today and no maintenance required

In town for a long days caching, finding as many as possible. Stopped to grab this on the way back into town after doing the RGGT. Took a bit of a search but thankfully got there in the end. Pity there are so many pigs about with all the rubbish dump here.

Looked everywhere, had two cars pass us and even climbed up. GPS bounced a bit, but kept bringing us back to same area. Just too good for us today.
Out with moroldies to help find this one as it's eluded them on more than one occasion lol:)
The old girl give up & headed back to the car but the old boy & myself wasn't going to give up on this one & once found makes you wonder why it took so long to find

We're headed to a road trip to Adelaide with Wilbert67 and grab I some caches along the way, with the 3 of us on the job we soon had the job done. It's not hidden in the most obvious place. Bit sneaky. TFTB
On a cache holiday with J+J.AU to SA. Just a few caches along the way to our first stop in Mildura. This one needed a bit of a search but then the reward was certainly there!

I'm doing a GeoCaching tourist trip - The GeoSchnauzers and I are off to Wagga Wagga and surrounds, just under 200 kms from home. It's Monday morning, and we're off in good time. Once out of Canberra, the first cache I haven't found is past Yass. I've booked into a cheap motel which will accept the dogs, I'm kitted up with dog gear, geocaching gear, computer gear, for geocaching, and even gear for me to wear.
Tuesday. It' s a beautiful day, sunny, and promising to be hot for spring, as was yesterday. Today, the GeoSchnauzers and I are doing the RGGT Power Trail. I'm not sure how this will go, as I'm by myself in the car, and this is nearly four times as many caches as I have previously done in a day (22 caches). As it turned out, I did 84 today - 79 of 80 RGGT caches (1 DNF), the RGGT Finale puzzle cache, and fours others on the way back to the motel.
Apologies for the generic logs. I have recorded something that struck me about most of the caches, but I did it on paper, as I don't like logging via an Android - typing is too time consuming. As a result, I may have got some of the cache comments against the wrong cache, but you'll get the idea.
It turned out also that I did the Power trail in about 6.5 hours, less than five minutes per cache. Not bad, considering the driving, searching, logging and dog walking I did. - Here we go:
No 25 of 84 today. Last one for the day, it's been a good day for me and the geoSchnauzers. C'mon dogs, last walks!! So off we went, and searched, and searched and searched. I finally came up with the goods, then took the patient GeoSchnauzers on a walk down toward the creek before calling it a day.

[:(!] While in Wagga for the week I picked a few caches and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Couldn't find it, logs seem to indicate it's a simple find but not in any of the expected places. Lots of rubbish around, and found q coca-cola pencil and baby food canister on the ground, maybe this was the cache?
After driving to southern Sydney Friday on a work trip I'm heading home via a couple of days in Wagga.
Today was a day to knock over the new power trail along with a few other caches in and around Wagga.
An overheard comment at tea last night helped to find this cache quite quickly. Te first spot I checked had a syringe in it (cap on) so I decided another spot may be a better option.
Thank you for the cache lgoody.

Yep...we took the low road here We parked a little way from the tunnel and then made the rest of the way on foot, making sure we dodged the rotting mattress and puddles.
Once at GZ we examined a couple of things before I saw a something promising. Looked a little further and the hide was revealed [^] With cache duties complete, it was back to the geomobile to continue on with our mission.

After a huge day yesterday collecting 88 caches in total, today we had a bit of a slower start. We didn't kick our caching off till close to midday today as I was fighting a horrible bronchitis cough and we decided to catch up on some much earned sleep.
Today we decided to hit a few of the multis in Wagga after picking up heaps of traditionals yesterday.
This one came up on our radar as we were doing some local multis so we decided to give it a hit. Arrived at the location and went for a stroll. Its a shame about all the rotting rubbish down here [xx(]
Cache was found soon enough once again by specimenX, logging duties completed and cache returned.
Thanks for a nice cache the lgoody

Found on a run to Queensland with Poynts95 and Sportacuss. Also had with me a few of the kids, James and Jemma. We had an enjoyable trip, stayed in a few motels on the way and bagged 35 caches total. Not huge numbers, but a good mix. Thanks to all cache owners who have hidden and maintain the caches found.

#407 it has been a little time since I have been at the computer to do some logging now it is well and truly time to catch up on the geocache logging and leave the waymarks alone for a little while although it has been fun adding a number of waymarks. Just to keep you all up to date I am on day 110 of continuous caching and have 42 days of caching to log before I am up to date.
This was an interesting one to find as the gamble about the under pass walk way was not known until i left the road and saw it. I had always thought there was a track under the road but thought it was for farm and not general public but now am the wiser. This was an easy find once at GZ and now with the rain we have had I hope it is still there.
Thanks lgoody for a great little lesson in wagga.

DNF - Too many parts of dead roo's around! Someone must have passed under the bridge with a ute or so, fully charged with parts of kangaroos, such as legs and tails, and lost them here in the turn. Pretty stinky and smelly, the ham in the heat all day, so that I only had a quick look up towards the higher road. Better come back in a year's time - it's also getting dark, shortly!
