Walked up here from the bottom. And upon finding the cave it was a quick find. Retrieved the now defunct TB but its a cool thing. TFTC and DT
Re-founded after years. Simply to drop off a TB that had to be D4 or T4. Mozzies ate me alive!!
Well that took a lot longer than expected, came the long road to open the treasure vault but it appears a robbery has occurred, or the loot really wasn’t shared evenly.
Great hide fp

Working nearby. Walked up the trail passed by a few MTB riders heading down. GZ quick look and found the container in good shape. Signed and replaced. Thanks for the walk.
Shiver me timbers, Where is the GOLD? I killed 15 good dead men to get here today, surmounted the booby traps, guided by gut more than compass, i spotted the vault, but more than likely not where it was left. Booty, even Wandas' little sister, but no shiny stuff. Back to the kiosk, but need to find an outlaw along the way. TFTC.
Not sure if we got a bit intimidated by the back story but we ended up going further into trouble than we needed to. After a quick reset and a read of the hint we found the cache back near where we started. Great hiding spot, though when replacing the cache Dad dropped it and the daughter had to retrieve it and replace it in its hide.
On the return we had to wait for a convoy of cars escorting a big crane up the firetrail, so that was fun.

After finding a cache nearby, I decided to make a detour to find this cache.

Great spot!! Bit of scrambling required but worth it, GeoJack was very excited to do a swap. TFTC
Looking in the wrong spot at first. I think we were intimidated by the back story. Great spot so many hidy holes!
Found while out enjoying the day. We needed this one in order to complete a challenge so happy to make the find

I don't know if I just got lucky, but it only took me 2 mins to find. Still, was a fun rock crawl and a nice location. Tftc
Walked straight past the loot at the beginning of my search, I should have gone with my gut feeling.
Great spot for a stash, I left a small treasure of mine, a ring of many colours, for the next seeker to find.

I regret not being in the game early enough to chase that fake rock around the coast but what a fascinating location it led to.
Today I rode as far as the comms tower. Can you do that? There are so many signs about what can't be done here that you'd think NPWS had taken over. From there it's just a few hundred metres to and fro down the track to the vault.
I tried all the wrong sides first, before finding one that drew me in. Nothing seen in the feeble remnant daylight but with torch oiled and lit, I spied the cask. Actually, after reading the garbageman's log, I wonder if it should have been a bit more obscure.
Seeing is one thing, retrieving another. Adopting an approach that our simian cousins are more at home with, I had things in hand after a few attempts.
Scroll inscribed, I left the treasure as found.
Thanks Brethren of the Coast.

No declarations were made at this cache, so it must have been slightly easier going than the mornings first cache. It was, however, hot and sweaty going! Up and up! Eventually. Find was made! Next time, we shouldn’t attempt a cache like this in the heat of the middle of the day. But we always forget and “just one more cache”. Fantastic hide! TFTC Brethren of the Coast, I really enjoyed it!
After a strenuous morning climbing cliffs, I promised LouLou0212 that this was a nice quick easy stroll on a path. I failed to mention the uphill bit. It worked! Well LouLou needed this combo for her 4x4 DT grid challenge, so really, she can thank me fantastic location! TFTC Brethren of the Coast

I've been trying to track down Tyler the Turtle (TB) for quite some time and after getting some intel from recent visitors, I thought my best option was to go and check for myself.
Having stayed at a friends place in Umina for the weekend, it wasn't too much of a diversion to drop in here on the way home. I did forget to tell the geoWife that there was nearly a 3km round trip on foot but it was such a beautiful day for a walk that it didn't cost me too many brownie points.
Having confirmed Tyler wasn't hanging out in Vine Street, we continued on to this one passing some daring mountain bikers on the way. The pirate's hideout was soon discovered but needed some contortionism to extract. To my joy, I found Tyler hiding underneath all of the swag and happy to report a successful rescue mission.
What a great way to finish the weekend; beautiful day for a walk, really nice area, a little scrambling and darkness, my favourite container type and of course the reunion with Tyler.

A pleasant stroll on a winter's day with the whole family. Left the family back at Vine Street and headed on to this one alone. Wish I hadn't as my kids would have fit much more easily than Daddy. Arggh.
It took me multiple attempts and eventually with guidance from a photo taken off my phone and a stick I managed to drag it out of where it had been very much wedged. I have not been able to get it tucked in as far as it was before. Apologies but my belly just wouldn't let me. It would be great if the next finder nudged it slightly further south and further under so it is out of view completely. I added a cover which was not formerly there to provide cover in the mean time. Apologies but being on my own with no reception and having got a bit stuck... I was a bit gun shy.
Enjoyed the views along the way and reading back through years and years of logs.TNLN TFTC

Ooh what a shame... I lost the gps signal under the rocks, but no worries, grabbed my torch and started to look. Till it started pooring... we were lucky so far to not get wet, but we couldn't finish our last cache dry. We gave up once we got soaked and hurried back to the car to chance into dry clothes. Long live #vanlife

Squeezing in some Geocaching while in the area helping a friend move, then it's back to Victoria. What a hide! Loved this one! Signed log, took nothing. Well stocked with swaps. Cache & log found dry and in good condition.

filling in my DT grid and needed this cache, The weather wasn't good, so I thought that would keep away any snakes. I parked in Aires close and made the walk up the hill sort of following trails and wishing i had brought water. I found GZ without any problems and found the cache by sound using a nearby stick . signed the log and returned to it's location . The walk back was quicker going downhill except I went down to far and ended up at Riatta street so had to walk right around the block and up another hill. Thanks for the cache Brethren of the Coast tnln sl
Find #1142
We spent the day caching our way through Gosford and Erina today, to find some new D:T combos, and some other special caches. I've had my eye on this for a while - there aren't many D4:T3's around closer to us..... With milder temps today we set off. Reading past logs, we followed colleda's plan, and parked in Aires Close and walked up from there. We hiked up the hill until we came to the firetrail, then headed west. We looked at a direct climb up, but then decided to stay on the trails, so walked to S E then followed a trail to the next firetrail which took us all the way to GZ.
At GZ we searched around with pretty bad GPS reception, before things settled enough to find a likely spot. I got out the torch and checked a decent little cave a few times before spotting the simple but effective stash. We signed the log in the shade of the overhang, then had a rest before heading back down the way we came. Thanks for the cache, and the calf muscle workout.....

Today we had a GREAT day caching around Gosford and Tumbi Umbi, we found 19 caches and only 2 DNFs. Lots of big walks and aching legs!

We finally made it out to this one after eyeing it off from many past visits around the area. We headed across from Vine Street using some of the smaller tracks and soon arrived at GZ. We made good use of the phone camera and spotted the cache in a likely spot. Good to see an ammo can. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
5.20pm of streak day #51
Youngest geokid and I headed up the mountain after work today with the bikes to tackle what is actually one of the 10 or 12 closest caches to our house. We have left it for quite a while! Just needed a trad today (for our current streak) but we are starting to run out of them in the vicinity and felt like getting out this arvie in this perfect riding weather so Grank's goof is up! Up the mountain in the Green Lantern and off we go hitting the main track to the north of the picnic area up top. Lots of other riders up there today too. It was a very fun and adventurous ride with the most perilous part being the last 180m. To our delight, we were actually able to ride right up to within 5m of GZ. Thanks to good instructions, we made a pretty quick find in a very clever area indeed. What a cool cache. It is stocked full of all kinds of goodies and it is always cool to find an ammo can. Thanks Brethren for bringing us out to this part of the mountain. We intend to do some more exploring around this area for sure!

I am up the hill today for the 'International Geocaching Day' event.
Lets see if I can find them all.
I walked over from the picnic area. [^]
Just before I got to another cache earlier I met Mr_Roo coming the other way. So we teamed up for a few finds.
A quick find for us today.
Now to head to the event.
Thanks for the cache.

Will try again soon

TFTC what a fantastic spot, torch came in handy. Had fun retrieving it from its location. Added bouncy ball to the toy collection.
This one almost got me! Took me awhile, as the GPS got crazy!! So, I decided to analyse the potential spots, and finally had CIH!! Full of tresures! TNLNSL
Thanks Brethren of the Coast! Great spot! I really felt like hunting a treasure! For these 2 reasons, favourite point awarded! Yey!!

Every caching trip is not complete unless I cut my head - and this was the cache to achieve it today. Tried standing up in an area that was about 1.7m high - problem is I am about 1.8m!
Managed to find the cache quickly, but thought I was thwarted by something else being required to open the cache - in the end it wasn't needed.
Got back to the car, rubbed my head, and came away with a bloody palm.

Thanks for this one! Nice walk great hide and a cool container! Took a key ring and left a couple of toy cars, a carabiner and a camping multi tool.
Found it! Second for the day. What a wonderful spot. My favourite on the coast.. And we're loving the pirate references.
TFTC..WOW what a great location. Was a mighty walk to get close to GZ, Geo-wife loved it..NOT!. Took a little bit of clambering and searching but eventually came up with the booty....ohh yer. Signed log grabbed TB and replaced cache within the tomb and rolled the giant bolder back in front...Ha Ha. Loved it.
Took us a while, the clue didn't help too much when there were a couple of fallen trees. Got there in the end when one of us braved the conditions. Great spot though, probably one of my favourites so far!
With an eerie feeling of dread, as if spectres of those fifteen men were watching over my shoulder, I pointed my torch down into the hole (grave?) and spied something suspicious. With some jiggling, the lock was bypassed, allowing me to inspect the bounty while signing the captain's log. Not wishing to upset those spectres, I left the treasure untouched, resealing it and placing it back for them to guard. Glad to be back out in the sunlight! TFTC.
I took a fairly straight line up and up and up, reached GZ and made a quick find. Loved the exercise! TFTC
4x4 till 50 meters away then walked . Great hide loved the idea of finding the cache but wait we can't open it ha ha we have it TFTC
If the kids could brave the walk and climb the rocks they would love this one. Once you find both parts there are a heap if treasures to choose from.
Great hide. Thank god we had the 4wd to take us close to the spot. Team effort with amglenn and dlturner.
Somebody that I know did this one not long ago so thought I had better take a look, the day was just right for a stroll through these parts, not to hot... Reached GZ & recognized it straight away from the photos. It didn't take long to find the hide but did take awhile to find the key. Not too far away... Once the lock was taken care of the chest was taken topside to pillage through the bounty... Plenty to be had by all.
Nutin took my fancy so made an entry into the captains log, sealed the chest and plunged it back into the darkness for other adventures (or pirates) to discover.... & returned the key.!

As I entered the desired area im sure I heard a big 'clank' of a skeleton beside me dropping down into the depths of of the hole. All that was left was an eye patch hanging from one of the rocks. I managed to get to the chest without getting stuck unlike the last poor pirate. The booty was plentiful but alas I have no dealers who would wish to trade for such treasures. I signed the log and began the journey out of the centre of the earth... TFTC cheers
The roosters half of hen and roosters went walking near here before and thought we'd come back and find it. Once again the hens were busy so the roosters set off.
Took a bit of finding and luckily we read the bit about taking a torch.
Great place to hide a cache, thanks.

Found this with my Son (one half on hens and roosters)
good cache, well hidden. Thanks
good cache, well hidden. Thanks
Finally! We have been wanting to do this cache for ages and today we finally got the chance. Well worth the wait and well worth the hike. Aires Pl is definitely the way to attack this one. Once we got there we were in awe. How beautiful! Thanks for an amaxing experience.
We needed a 4/3 for a 4x4 grid Challenge (GC4J8EZ) and this was the nearest to home. We meant to get this one a week or so ago but the car GPS took us klms away and ended up at 'Road not taken' by Super Snoop. Parked in Thames drive but later saw a better attack point at Aires Cl.
Followed the track up the hill, huffing and puffing, but making good progress until my etrex over shot gz by about 20m. Allowed it to settle for a bit and, using the hint, was soon in the right spot. Shone the torch in a few holes but I found it by feel rather than sight. SLTN left some pennies. When replacing the ammo tin it slipped and slid down the hole. I had to then get down on my belly to reach it and put it back in its proper place. Thanks to Brethren of the Coast.
BTW. There was a sign at the bottom of the hill saying that the track was closed due to bush fire danger but I didn't see it.

Found it! 12.44pm on Saturday 24 August 2013. Great hide took a bit of searching but lots of fun. Found by Scott (dad) Ethan Lachs Alana and Beth. Thanks for the hide!
Cool cache! Swapped for the My Little Pony. TFTC. (Looking at the picture - which does not give away any clues - I've just realised I recorded the wrong date on the log-book. I hope I didn't do that all day...)

It was getting late when I arrived at GZ. I had a quick look in places that I thought looked like where the cache might be. No luck. Next time I will make it to the area earlier and take a torch. Thanks for this one, a nice walk in an interesting area, I shall return.
We were in the area collecting our kids from the grandparents so with opportunity knocking I chose to go and grab this specific cache as it fitted into a challenge that I want to undertake.
In true Rats fashion with fading light and time against us we took the most direct route up to the top of this hill. Once at GZ the gizmo started to play up, having me search some 20m away. Eventually it settled down and I was able to mount a proper search. The cache was soon in hand and I was left wondering about all the spots I'd looked for this one.
Thanks

Good weather today but start come raining, visit Gosford and Woy Woy for caches day with Jfindit, easy to find as hide very well thanks
I'm down from Brisbane visiting relatives, and making the most of the glorious weather to get out and about. Today was the day to visit Kincumba Mountain and collect all the caches up there.
I must admit I was a little intimidated by the Difficulty stars on this cache, but I was nearby and couldn't resist the lure. It's a great walk from the car park, and I collected some others on the way, then headed in to GZ. A bit of rock hopping happened, then my iPhone really didn't want to co-operate, so I resorted to reading the Hint and looking at some photos. GZ was soon reached and the cache gingerly extracted. All is in fine form. A great hiding spot, too, and all those stars were earned TFTC, Brethren of the Coast. A favourite point from me.

Phone wasn't helping our situation at all today....was moving us all over the place.
however we just had a look at the images - turns out we should have done that before we went. we were at GZ the whole time!! not far from home so next time we get up there i guess.... lol
(geoson wants to go back up now hehehe)

Dropped a mate at Terrigal Pub and went out to do some caching before picking her up. Parked down the bottom and went for the 1km hike up and back. Got back to the car at 12:50am. I wouldn't suggest doing this at night unless you're familiar with caching/bush walking at night. The hide was fairly easy to find once you realised the potential hiding spots, hard to grab though! Nice kiddy swag in the cache. thanks!
Thought I would try for one more cache after finding "The Road Not Taken" and "Piccadilly". Had some GPS reception issues and spent 20 minutes bush bashing. Tried my phone instead and it seemed to direct me to a more likely hiding place. Spent some more time scrambling over rocks but no luck and decided to head home before the wife sent out the search party. Will try again next time I am in the area.
With a Mountain Bike event on today we had to be a little vigil, but luckily the riders weren't going straight past GZ. Cache is well hidden, unless your a bat. Took some great swag, and left some even better swag.

Second attempt for this one, I was in the right spot last time, just needed the torch. I actually signed the ziplock for the log which had been accidentally left out. TFTC
Was getting Dark when I arrived at GZ. Found the first clue used the Braille method and Bingo
