In NZ for the Dunedin Mega Mashup coming in a couple of days. After picking up the windowed brick on wheels, we were off to fill our picnic basket full of cache finds and have too many options available to choose from. Hopefully we wont get overly distracted by caches not on our targeted list for this trip. This cache was not on our list quick find here
Muggle65 and l are in NZ for the Dunedin Mega. We also have some visiting to do so we are all over the place. We picked up our camper van and are discovering the joys of a very gutless vehicle.Quick find.Thank you for the fun
Nice little cemetery with forestry and and paddocks surrounding. Found the spot where cache would have been, but appears to be missing.
Having read the previous logs and the hint it sadly looks like this cache has gone missing. ️

There is something in the name! We forgot to log this find in. Took us a while wandering around. TFTC
Passing this way on my way north and took a quick detour to see if I could tick this one off now that it had been replaced. Quickly found (though I had to hop over the inner gate as I couldn't get the chain off to open it). Good to get a smiley on this one. TFTC.
Today I was out and about on a very specific caching mission. My objective for the day was to accumulate enough missing 'minutes' qualify for the South Island 300 Minutes Latitude Challenge - GC8RQ1G. I started collecting missing minutes at S 44 03 and ended up down at S 45 15. A peaceful spot for those gone but not forgotten. Found the cache safe and sound as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Headed up to Christchurch on Boxing Day for a 3-4 night caching trip, have to be grateful that despite overseas travel plans scrapped for now, we can still move around our beautiful country. Chatting to friends and family overseas, I feel very blessed and want to make the most of our earned freedom. I find caching is a great way to unwind and allow me to recharge ahead of the marathon which will be 2021.
Time to head home now.... but I am sure I can stretch out a 4.5hr trip to 14hrs and get a number of caches on the way.
Thank you to all of the cache owners for the caches enroute.
See the CO has done some maintenance and lol, I wonder where it could be. A nice place but as the sun goes down those woods nearby look like something from a horror movie - the darkness absorbs the light.... maybe time to get moving.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Found hint location and obvious place where cache might be, but after looking everywhere it could possibly be in that location, I could not locate it. I think the cache has disappeared.
Beautiful red apple blossom buds and a silvery half moon as we neared the end of a great day from Chch. Obvious tree, less obvious cache.
A very peaceful spot. Apparently closed to further use. Thanks for taking us there. Found with Coconuts3. TFTH
What a lovely little place, a local told us no new ones allowed. We are out with busy paws and have signed the log CC3BP. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache Bitsprayer.
A nice little resting spot and quick find. Thanks for placing a cache here so we can acknowledge those gone before us. #2987
A strange little place with the graves sort of separated. I wonder why that was?? Anyway a quick find and a pleasant rural side road. Thanks.
Heading South for a break and a bit of Geocaching. Grabbing a few between Christchurch and Oamaru.
Last cache for the day. Quick find at GZ

Time for a couple of caches before our meet and greet this evening. With Zara and Toby parked up - lets get these feet walking in this great reserve.
Checked out the amazing sign boards, capturing info for the multies, then onwards to here. Another quick snag and tag. Now lets get moving again.

On hte way to the Oamaru Geofest with Taybeedragon. Yes, forgotten. Even forgotten to add this cemetery to the map! I'll fix that shortly, when I get to a decent computer. Nice to see the rain is holding off (for now!).
The logbook was extremely skungy. Replaced by the dragon.

Caching with our NZ friends, signing as TTT. Enjoying traversing the area and finding lots of caches. Tftc
Found on way home after having an afternoon of caching in oamaru, nice quick find cheers
After a lovely weekend in Timaru it was time to head home with a few caching stops along the way. A quick detour and a nice easy find. TFTC
Definitely a very peaceful place, obviously still being well looked after. Called here this afternoon for a quick find. Log is saturated but I was just able to write on it. I have replaced it back in the cache without the plastic bag which would now merely trap in the water and prevent any drying. Needs a bit of TLC from the cache owner. Signed log, TFTC
Heading south for a wee family holiday. Family caught a cheap early flight down to Dunedin this morning...and will spend the day exploring Dunedin attractions...whilst I drive down to meet them...and find a cache or two along the way!
A nice, quiet, wee cemetery....gives pause for thought.

Simple find but the log book was very wet tried to dry in the time I had but no luck sign as best I could TFTC
This was a peaceful place. However when went for the cache I managed to get stinging nettle on my fingers. It was not so peaceful then. Still a find is a find. Thanks
#12497. We got a BS cemetery cache on the way south, and this one on the way north. Old cemeteries are always worth a visit. TFTC.
We spent most of the morning in Oamaru, before heading back to Christchurch before noon. Had a great Queens Birthday weekend in the area, the weather was perfect, and we enjoyed the places that the caches took us to. Many thanks to the cache owners for all the cache placements that have made the area a cacher's mecca. We have barely scratched the surface, and will be back, perhaps with bikes to attempt the nearby bike trails.
The cemetery didn't seem too forgotten as the grass was mowed and there were flash new gates as well. StreetWalker reached through the fence to get the cache, then we noticed there was a gate we could have gone through. TFTC.

The second weekend of planned caching trips for Chelzea and I. This one started caching near Temuka and then on down to Timaru, Oamaru over Danseys Pass and then back to ChCh from Palmerston the next day. Long and winding trip in places but managed a good number of caches with only a few DNF's. Too many to remember in detail so sorry for the cut and paste logs but thanks to all the owners it was a great two days of searching new places for a good variety of caches. 1
Here I am, still locating caches in the Waimate District and having a ball.
Out: TB.
Cheers for the cache.

Lovely old apple tree & cemetery here. Log not in bag so wet but signable. Have replaced it so hopefully will stay dry. TFTC
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #246 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and fourty eighth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
All quiet here thankfully!

some days you have got to make the effort to get off the main drag and pick up a few out of the way caches so today was my day for tiding up the northern side of the waitaki.
nice wee cemetery and quick find dropped off TB

Lovely small cemetery, and now it will no longer be forgotten thanks to all the cachers stopping by! [^] We were not quite sure what the best approach would be, but worked it out quickly. Nice stretch of the legs on a long drive, thank you!!!

This area does look rather forgotten. We followed the cachers trail to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Now off down the road to find our 1000th cache!! Woohoo.
Maybe the first cemetery I have visited that is not on a hill ! With the given clue there was little doubt as to the general location of the cache.
After a few DNFs on some of the new Multis this was a nice easy pickmeup cache. I was surprised that none of the other geocachers passing through today found the cache. While logging I see that one one other made it here. TFTC
(just realised had not changed the date of our last 6 caches the 7th not 6th)
