Was in Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with -gonefishing-, fozzmiester and agcnz on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 6 of the road trip. Today we were leaving Dunedin region and making our way to Oamaru for the night and picking up a few caches on our way.
After finding GC26HRM - Millside (North Otago), we decided to check our GPSr and noticed that there was another cache that was not too far away as the crow flies less than 1k, well it was giving us a chance to go for a decent walk and get some extra steps in.
The walk to GZ didnt take too long and as we neared GZ, reading the hint we soon realised where the cache was going to be and decided to trust our GPS to guide us close to GZ and we soon spotted something that matched the hint as we neared GZ.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks Bitsprayer for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (5221). Pity the bake house was closed , nah I dont think I could have fitted anymore food in my tummy, maybe.
Now where too next....

A quick find in the dark. Thanks for the cache Bitsprayer.
Found as part of an epic NZ Mega Event trip. Day 6 - Dunedin to Oamaru via Ranfurly and Dansey's Pass with agcnz, -gonefishing- and Yeetrees. Thanks to the owners of the 500 + caches which I had the pleasure to find along the way and which contributed to a very fun trip.

Found on the great post-Mega roadtrip with agcnz, fozzmiester and yeetrees. A great trip from Otago to Wellington, taking in many backroads and some fantastic scenery along to way to over 400 caches. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great caches we found on the way.
Thanks for the cache, Bitsprayer.

Came here after dark with fozzmiester, -gonefishing- and Yeetrees while staying for the night in Oamaru. The cache was spotted quickly by fozzmiester - signed log, TFTC!
After spending a great night in Oamaru we headed out for for a not so early start to grab a few geocaches around town before heading to Lake Tekapo. The cache was in Hand, logbook signed and cache returned. love learning about the history of Oamaru. TFTC.

Found with highrod on the start of our journey home from the Mega. Someone was working inside today and I had a short talk to him. Apparently, the council approved the pulling down of the whole basket complex but community anger made council reconsider and the small front room has been saved and wil be preserved as a historic building. TFTC
Mega well over and time for us to make our way towards our flight out of Christchurch. About to give up when one last cog clicked on the hint. Said building being renovated. TFTC SL
Found on our short but Mega trip across the ditch. we flew in to Christchurch on Friday, drove to Dunedin on Saturday, cached on Sunday, drove back to Christchurch on Monday and flew home on Tuesday. Tiring, expensive and well worth it.
We had stopped here to get some cash and use the facilites so it was a quick duck around the corner - glad it was in an obvious spot - it gets very busy here.

Found with troobloo and Bushbaby321 while here for the NZ MEGA. Something a little different than what we have seen in NZ but in OZ these are a plenty. SL TN Left some pathtags along the way. T4TC

Found as part of the Gangsters- The Rats, Farmer Frentzen and Big Matt and Shell- as part of our NZ Mega Event Tour 2012.
We were inadvertently looking for breakfast next door and there was a bonus cache too! Should have been a quick find but we made it harder than it should have been. TFTC!

Found this cache as part of the Gangster's Aussie assault on the first NZ Mega with Big Matt, FarmerFrenzten and steeba.
This was a cache by chance, we'd stopped at the Macca's for breakie and then were surprised to see a cache very close.
Thanks

Our 6297th overall find.
Found on the "Gangsters" NZ Mega 2012 trip with steeba, The Rats and Farmer Frentzen. This was a handy cache. It took us to breakfast and we started the day with a find. Lucky us.
Thanks Bitsprayer for the cache. Stats for our trip can be found here http://www.campersdownunder.com.au/geocaching/NZTrip/stats2.html

This was one of 69 caches for the day along with bogonghazy enroute from Oamaru to Dunedin for NZ Mega. We had sunshine, rain, snow and wind throughout the day. But still got to enjoy a greats days caching. Thanks to the CO and greetings from Oz.
Found with Sully1 on our third day in this beautiful country.
Today we headed from Oamaru to Dunedin, enjoying even more of this scenery
and friendly Kiwis, and finding a great variety of clever and educational caches along the way.
Thanks Bitsprayer, oddly we had breakfast here before heading off on another direction, and laughed on returning. Dumb Aussies, hey!

Approached from the right angle to see this one. I'm loving the old buildings in this town. TFTC
What a charming building, though the only bread being baked around here today was in the restaurant whose car park we borrowed. We found it fairly unobtrusively, and then took some photos of the bakery and also of the magnificent St Patrick's Basilica at the top of the street. TFTC, Bitsprayer! =^.^=
Day 2, Geraldine to Dunedin. Looking in the wrong places originally but once you find it you cant stop thinking how easy it is and why its not easily stumbled upon. We stopped for some dinner here. They were so busy we probably couldve made and eaten it in the time we actually got our food. TFTC
We found this neat cache while on our two weeks Blitz of the South Island for the Mega Event.
Many thanks for the hide.

Was sitting in the McDonalds carpark waiting for a phonecall so thought I would look up if there are any near by caches and turned out there was one and only 20 meters away. Eventually spotted it.

I had to out wait many muggles coming and going to get this one,but got it in the end. TFTC. Cheers Bo
On a caching trip with ingidayna to Oamaru and surrounds to get 1000 finds. Awesome old building. TFTC
I'm glad I bring Miss 10 along with me on these caching adventures, we'd forever be logging DNF's if it wasn't for her! Lovely little building right in front of the golden arches. TFTC
I am going to give this up !! The little one comes up trumps again dispite my intense pre-inspection of the bake house. Oh! to have younger eyes.
Oamaru is such a wonderful town to wander around. Found without too much trouble, avoiding bees was fun.

Hmmm, I didn't find it that easy. Its small and I had to eliminate a few potential hint items, in between burger chomping muggles. I like that Oamaru has kept these buildings, imagine beautiful steak and cheese pies being sold here.

Last one for the day. A walk from the motel down town. Easy find with no muggles around.
A very quick find as it was in the hands of two other cachers from Nelson! Hands shook and a bit of a chat then it was off on the last leg of the Easter weekend roadtrip.

A much much more successful visit this time. Just found it as Woody104 arrived. Had a chat then we both headed off. TFTC #3203
What a neat little building, thanks for sharing. quick find when the coast was clear. Unfortunately the log is full and it's fallen to bits. TFTC.
Found it thanks to a sort of trade thingy!! haha very sneaky place to find! cute bout the idea of magnetism!
Last cache of the day before heading to our Motel. Lots of muggels around so we tried this twice and had to wait until all had gone.
Took two goes, with a confirmation from the owner that it should be where I was looking. Found on the second pass. TFTC!
Cheers,
G.

Found the Baker - but not the cache - but choosing to go looking at 12:30 first day of school holidays - well ask yourself!
There are times when caching in a group with a camera gives a rather large advantage, this was one of those times!!

Stopped here for dinner on the way back home. Better luck this time than on my attempt on the way down. TNLN Thanks.
An interesting building that made me think of the lost heritage in Christchurch. AN easy find. TFTC
Found while on a drive to Timaru with Mr B who was very pleased to see the near-by lights on. Okay I was pleased to grab some caffeine too. Really nice historic building. TFTC.
A very cool building noticed it while walking back to our unit from church. How ever didn't notice the listing on line till a day later. Will have to remember it for next time we are in town.
