My second archived cache of the day… and my second failure…
Six years since it was last found… approaching GZ I thought it was going to be a straightforward find as I could see a block, I assume it’s the one referenced in the hint… alas there was no container under, or near the block…

This morning, it was a bright and early start running the Bridge to Brisbane route, parking my car at the start at Murarrie. After the event, jesswrigley joined me as we returned back to Murarrie, where we had a nice walk around Colmslie Beach Reserve, which was a really nice park with playgrounds. It was then an opportunity to visit a few more parks and reserves around Murarrie and Balmoral before heading home for the day to rest.
I was nearby to this archived cache, and as I was driving past, I thought I'd make a quick stop to ascertain if this cache was still available. There were a few years of mulch and leaves around the plants, and upon first observation, there were no rocks indicated by the hint, but some digging in a few logical places indicated one rather obvious half cinder block rock. I had a good search around there, but no cache was forthcoming. I continued to search around taking out a few rocks, but that was all I found here, so I do wonder if the cache may have been safely collected and disposed of. Thanks anyway AmbulareSimia for the cache placement.

While around the corner having an excellent coffee at the roastery, a quick check of c:Geo revealed this archived cache nearby.
Mrs OC accompanied me to GZ where we made a quick find. The container really is in pristine condition.

After and enjoyable morning under the bridge collecting a couple of caches, I decided to grab this one as we drove past on the way to Carina.
I was surprised to find it exactly as described and it perfect condition. Another cache that deserves more love.

Making a quick grab on the way to work today, even though I had no idea if this one would still be in place there was a good chance it was based on the logs. I had been past the area many many times in the past but only recently realised there had been a cache here.
So leaving home a little early I was able to get a park pretty close to GZ and being the middle of the day there was pretty much no one around. I wandered along and checked one or two little spots along the way with no success, but soon enough I spotted something that stood out a little.
As I reached down and shifted it a little I was prepared for nothing, but happily the cache appeared in front of me. I opened it up and was greeted by a log book that had not been seen for nearly a year. I added my name and was soon on my way to work.

As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Was not aware that this one was offline as the symbol was showing in my GPS. Found in the company of ManicWombat. Will have to do the rest of this series. TFTC
Was not aware this was offline so when the symbol popped up on the GPSr the hunt was on. Quickly found and the cache is in perfect condition. TFTC
On the climb towards my next major milestone I needed a few caches along the way and time was running out. This area was where I ended up waiting for my ride to finish work. I've been ever so slowly working my way through this series, and so here was the opportunity to get another one - still a couple to grab though. This one, not a problem, in the obvious spot and all safe and dry.
Thanks for placing this cache, AmbulareSimia. Found in good condition.

We are temporarily disabling the Great Circle Line series as current commitments prevent us from being able to adequately maintain it.
With only a few minutes available before a meeting at Church of the Ascension, Morningside, I couldn't resist the urge to push on and gain another tile in this series. Fortunately it really was a park and grab (and take photo of clue) so I made my meeting easily. TFTC once again, AS!
While visiting nearby, decided to drop by this one. fairly easy find today. TFTC. Now only 8 more to go in the series, but I can't remember the number for the one I've found already!
Quick find on my clean up day of caches around the area
The cache is in good condition and found exactly where you said it would be.
Bonus find was a shop down a nearby side street, selling cold drinks.

Geoson and I decided to complete the series on this very hot day and tackle the remaining caches on the dark side.
We jumped on the GCL bus near home and watched the mad Xmas shoppers at the major retail centres battle the traffic.
Got off the bus just after crossing the gateway and found this cache very easily. Made note of the clue and wandered to the nearby Seven-11 for some refreshments.
The next bus came along very quickly which surprised the slurpy drinking geoson who got himself a massive brain freeze while trying to finish his drink.
Thanks for the cache AmbulareSimia

Out and about on our last Thursday for the year with the lovely Nyssaflutterby. She sent me a text asking if I wanted to climb a bridge.......climb a bridge???!!!! Oh why not!!! After climbing the bridge we were heading for another cache when Nyssa was telling me a story about this cache and I suddenly realised that we didn't have it so she kindly stopped suddenly so that I could get it. Quick find and wrote the necessary information down.

There's not much to say about this cache except that finding it meant I missed out on getting up some speed down the hill TFTC.

I have marked this series of caches to watch (individually and the last in the series) as I have been dying to do this series for a long time but have been too scared because of the two that are temporarily disabled. I now fear asking the owner as I’ve just had a number of these series canned on me when I’ve done that.
I found several block like features before I saw the block in question. This block was much bigger than the others. I have almost found all in the series. TFTC
Feeling very full after a feed at the near by Sizzler, we found this cache on the way home. TFTC

Hmmmm! This cache was a little bit odd. I'm not sure that I found the right one? On opening the logbook I noticed that the last person to sign it was on the 6th of September back in 2010! Now knowing this would be a cache that would have been visited after that date many times, I did a bit of research into the online logs.
It looks like to me that I have found the old cache that went missing back at around that date. I seem to have a knack for finding the old caches as opposed to the new ones. I only just found another cache on the northside the other week that had been missing for awhile. The cache I found is still in OK condition, a small amount of water was on the inside but the log book was fine. I signed the logbook and placed it back where I found it.

1254 - Found this one after a trip to the dark side to play a game of bare foot bowls. We have tried this one on at least two previous occasions, possibly more but each time we tried to find it, it was either not in place or too hard for us to find. Today it was an easy find as the location and hint has changed since we last attempted it. Found in great condition at 5:02pm. Thanks for the cache and the series Ambulare Simia, one more in the series down, 7 to go
Found it. i have looked for this before, but near the coords, this time expanded the search and looked for the clue.

Had just knocked off work nearby and had to grab a few caches while I was up this way. Soon found myself parked opposite this cache and wandered over the quiet road to the spot. First found the wrong black, but second place and there was the cache. Had a lot of cockroach guardians but they made off pretty soon. Signed the log and recorded the clue. TFTC, and one step closer to completing the full circle line.
As my two partners in crime had already done this one, I took the opportunity to add a smiley face to this one on the way to Balmoral. Park the car and start heading to GZ, when geowife says where are you going? Its says its up here further. Geowife says, it must have been moved. Make our way to where GPS was pointing and widened our search and bingo, find what we are looking for. Log signed and cache returned to hidey spot. TFTH
Stopped at what I thought was the one, then had to look a bit more and located this one. Took it back to the geocar, to clean off before opening. All in good order.

Found what we thought was the hint and had a brief look around the immediate vicintiy but didn't find this one. Lots of muggles arcoss the road today so didn't want to spend too long looking. Maybe a case of cache blindness.
This is the 2nd one of the series we have have found now …. not doing it by bus, so it may take a while . Had to check the hint and widen my search the same as others, and i had the prize in hand before long. Thanks AmbulareSimia
I was pleased to check this one off the list - It was my second attempt at it and I drive past it EVERY day. I was the second person here today so it's a popular one. TFTC
GPSr wanted me near the termite destroyed real estate sign but I had to expand the search and check the clue before making the find. A quick sign and replace. I think I've done at least two more of these but as I'm up from Sydney will probably never finish it so haven't taken down the clues.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found at 0712. A quick find once we walked into the correct street. I could have done this one a few weeks ago while waiting for the Bridge to Brisbane to start but some 40000 mugles would be wondering what I was up to. TFTC.
Well this one has been a long time coming. With this one out of action, Lokipagan assisted in getting the final cache previously.
However, to make it all kosher, I wanted to grab this one. With threatening storms looming, it made for the muggle population to be very low. After those muggles that were around were gone, I made the swoop and found the cache after a small hunt. Everything was in good order here. Very happy to have gotten all of the series now. Thanks for re-enabling it. TFTC AmbulareSimia

Have to disable until we get another chance to do some maintenance (sooner rather than later) - this will be top of the list.
I will have the opportunity shortly to do this series. Can the owner please check on this cache as there have been a lot of DNFs in the last 6 months and no finds. I'd love to be able to complete it all in the same day. Thanks
No dice for me either. Couldnt find anything that matched the hint either. I did find a very dead blue tongue lizard though [xx(] Maybe the owner could check on it at some stage? TFTH
Search everywhere - no container - assume missing... Please could you check up for me please. Thanks.

dnf on this one, it looks like the area has had some work done on it and the clue didn't seem to relate to anything i could see
This one eluded me. There looks like there may have been some recent changes to the area such as mulching, new sign and some repair work. The clue didn't seem to fit either - well not that I could figure out anyway. Used up the whole half hour between arriving by bus and the arrival of the next bus in searching for this one, but no luck.
Well this one had us scratching our heads at first and after consulting the oracle and comming up with the answer to the clue, I quickly had the cache in hand.
Out today with Mrs AM and Mrs K-six. Mrs AM had this one in her hot little hand soon after making our way to GZ TFTC,
Oh why do i fall for the I think it will be on this side of the object when it is always on the otherside
at 15:07. Now to complete the circle and go home. If we hadn't missed out on #!?% #8 we would have completed the set.

Ahhh, this was a much easier find this time in it's new den and it gave me the last digit for the final... Another quiet morning in the street so plenty of time for the hunt. Not needed though as this time, I had the container in hand within a minute or so... [^]
Armed with all the numbers I need, it's time to head to the final in this series... Thanks for the quick maintenance on this one.
Cheers AmbulareSimia.

No joy for me this morning. It was very quiet at 0710 and I had the place to myself. I read the previous logs and took note of some additional hints. I scoured the area and even went around the back for an additional hunt. I came up empty handed.
There is little in the way of hidey holes left so I searched whet there was... No sign of what I was looking for...
I'll keep an eye on this one and see whether someone comes up with the goods...

We gave up at 11:06. When we arrived, having waited over an hour at #2 for the half hourly bus service, it was clear that the area was under reconstruction. Although their tools were lying around there was nobody around so we searched all the likely spots without success. When the workmen arrived from smoko we had a word with them. They had had an excavator in that morning and scraped out the footpath and to some extent all around it. They hadn't seen a little lunchbox. You probably wouldn't if you were using an excavator.
The cache could be still there depending where it was last hidden. If it was not where they excavated we might not have looked in the right place or not looked hard enough.
The bus arrived so off to #6.

Found by Mary & David at 1730. Nice to have a quick find. Our thanks to AmbulareSimia.
The gardens seem to be non-existent now - had a bit of a look in the dark but had no luck trying to find it. (it being dark would not help my search though!)
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga 2 at 8:55am. This is the 2nd look for this cache. The cache was out in the open on a small stump as the garden beds have all been dug up and the trees trimmed of branches so it must have been found by the gardener. I have hidden it where we found it; hope that is the right place. TFTC
All 4 of THENANKS were out and about on our annual Easter caching run with our great mates the MadMyers. A big brunch had been enjoyed along with the traditional Easter treat hunt organised by the clever Mrs Mad. This was the eleventh and last find for the day. After signing the log we headed to Wynnum for Good Friday Fish and Chips.
Thanks from THENANKS for the cache.
Thanks from THENANKS for the cache.
Mr MadMyers found this one quite quickly but we too ignored the clue - not so close as it suggests. However this whole cache has given MrsMad and eldest daughter big ideas on what kind of shopping expedition we could have using this bus circle line. We looked at all the shopping centres we could visit on one day. Maybe only get to spend an hour or so in each one - but if we started first thing in the mornign - woo hooo we sure could have a fun day of shopping!!! It's an idea we will pursue. Thanks for the Easter Caching!!
It took two visits to locate the cache.
The big hole in the ground must have put me off the first time. Or was it the pile of grass clippings?
After meeting flower1 at a cache a few minutes later she confirmed that it was not near the whole.
I had time later to return for a second look and found it in seconds. I'm sure that I had looked there only an hour before.

Went straight to the obvious spot and put my hand right on it. Love it when a plan comes together. TFTC
I've stopped by a couple of times to do this one but there have been muggles around each time. Stopped by mid morning to find it fairly quiet and soon had the cache in hand.

Back a week later to have another shot at this. Found relatively quickly starting where we didn't search last week obviously! Logical spot really when you think about it . TFTC AmbulareSimia
Stopped by to check the cache status and it is still in place and all appears well .....perhaps some of that terrible cache blinding virus going around?....hopefully all you cachers out there can recover and find this one and continue the series but rest assured it is in place.
Searched in between traffic and had a good long hunt but couldn't find this one. There are a lot of grass clippings in the area - unsure if they are recent. 'Til next time.
Had to bypass this one initially as the muggles across the road were enjoying the cool evening breeze with a beer or three. Went to buy some food and when I returned, they'd gone. Found the goods pretty quickly. TN/LN/SL and noted the clue.

I've changed the hint as it seems I've made a bit of a slip up on this one. That's what you get for placing 11 caches in 1 day I guess. Hope this helps Happy hunting!
First find in the series as i was staying only a few minutes down the road. Will have to come back & jump on the bus to grab the rest. TFTC
Found it but not an easy find. The clue didn't help me much persistence was what paid off here. Maybe a little refinement of the clue might help future people. Three down, seven to go. TFTC.
spend ages looking for this one and all we got out of it was a cut on mum's hand from looking in the drain pipe. plan to head back wednesday for another look round though
I didn't have much luck at this bus stop today [:o]
The builders in the house across the street were all looking over where I was standing with the bicycle.
After some sneaky poking around I didn't stumble on the cache and after reading the clue ended up completely lost as to where the cache might be
The only spot that suited the clue was across the street from where I was, so I wandered over to have a look.
That seemed a very unlikely hiding spot though, so I'm leaving this one for Sunday when the workers won't be there
