Did not find it! Spent a bit of time looking and taking photos as cover. Too many Muggle for a proper look. Will visit again in the future. Anyway, TFTC
Couldn't find this little sucker! Anyone have any tips? Is it still active?
3rd cache for the day with Paddy3450. Some great boat watching out here also a trampoline of all things .

In Williamstown to check out Smokin' Aces car show at Seaworks 'Aces by the Bay' and thought I'd do a bit of local map cleaning while I was here. Ferguson Street Pier has been on my radar for ages as I'm in Williamstown very often, but rarely have the chance to clean up.
I was a little put of by the DNF from earlier in the month, but thought I'd give it a go anyway as it looked pretty quiet on the pier. Just as well I did. It took a little bit of looking and poking my fingers in likely places, before I decided to take a look from a different point of view. It ended up being much easier to find than to extract the log. I was almost tempted not to sign.
Cache is in good condition, with plenty of room in the log.

I've searched for this one on many occasions, glad I can say I found it on this occasion tftc
Second attempt at this one for me, searched for a while then bingo there it was, signed and replaced tftc.
No luck today. Had the entire pier to ourselves due to the 70km/h northerly, but half an hour of searching gave us nothing.
This cache was not too difficult to find, but retrieving and signing the log was stressful! It was after dark and everything was wet, so I had to take great care to make sure I didn't drop anything. Luckily I managed it without incident, and the cache remains for another finder.

A fantastic day in Williamstown, beautiful sunny sky. I love being near the water.
I chose a few caches to find using my phone as my gps hadn't saved the caches properly.
This was a great one.
Found quickly but I first dropped the log, luckily it didn't go far, then after signing it I dropped part of the container, luckily it also didn't go far lol.
I would have felt terrible if I had lost it!
Thanks The Empire, a great location for a cache.

In the area so I thought I might try for this one. Amazingly there was a photographer muggle as well as a couple at this time of day in this weather...go figure!
Made sure to retrieve and replace with all three backs turned.
Great view of the city, thanks for bringing me here, The Empire!

Cache has been replaced. Only 1 metre from where it used to be hidden. Coordinates remain the same.

Had a good look for this one, but came up empty handed like other recent cachers. Previous logs suggest that this one may have been unfindable for several months...

But i have 2 great hiding spots on pier u could hide 5 caches here all levels of difficulty great spot and my spots would not need magnets
Late log, I was here with TR Snaphappy last weekend and were unable to find this cache - one of the team has previously found this too. Beautiful spot though
Julesc21 and I searched around for quite a while, but couldn't find anything and we had to leave to move the car from its 2 hour spot (no, we hadn't been looking for this one for the whole 2 hours!). Furthermore, a previous cacher noted that they had dropped the magnetic component of the cache, so it wasn't clear whether it had been replaced as magnetic or not. Perhaps some clarification on that could help?
Thanks for the nice location and good hide. I must come back and get some night shots of the city.
Dustieann found this one. Even tho there were muggles very close by. They had no idea. She went down pretending to take a pic and spotted it. And then she dropped the cover, which proceeded to roll and fall through a crack. Right into the water. The lid which happened to have the magnet in it. Woops
It was hard retrieving this cache because of a muggle family and while trying to write in log unnoticed I accidentally dropped the lid and in horror watched it roll into the water - and of course it had to be the magnetic side. I am sorry!
We loved this spot

I've been here before over a year ago and logged a DNF after much searching. Back today with a previous finder, who made things a lot easier. Thanks for placing.
Staying in Williamstown for a few days so naturally I'm going after a few local caches as opportunities to do so arise. Thankfully, with a gale blowing from the south, this was a quick and straightforward find ... good coords helped. Thanks for bringING me here Empire and for the smiley.
Found this teeny tiny nano on a lovely pier. Luckily it wasn't busy today. Thanks M
The whole family took over the end of the pier for a picnic celebration of what would have been my father's 91st birthday. At sunset we scattered his ashes. The geo grandkids spent a lot of time looking as did we. All to no avail. Stealth was not an issue as there were 25 of us here for the occasion.
Today I was determined to make the final push to complete the final batch of mystery caches to fulfill the qualification for the Mystery Cache Monthly Challenge. After that I decided that I would slow the pace down and just grab a few more that happened along my path.
I put the bike on the car and headed off to the Newport/Williamstown area for a ride on a col and windy day.
A quick find. As reported in previous logs there is no log sheet...luckily I had a spare and have replaced it. TFTC.

Headed out from Point Gellibrand today as part of the Yarra Expedition with a group of 11 other cachers. The Idea was to ride along the Yarra, picking up as many caches as we could along the way. Another tricky cache, but with so many searchers, we were bound to find it

A little bit of drizzle but the day cleared up quite nicely. [^]

Thank you for the cache The Empire.
We'll be back in the area later for more local caches when we collect our cars.

As part of a wonderful day of geo-biking, we found and logged this cache jointly as Team Yarra Expedition.
By now it's starting to drizzle and we're all praying it clears up soon.
Careful not to drop this one!

This was my first find in the group of the Yarra Expo gang and as i had lived here in the area of past i had actually tried to get this fella a little while ago to no avail but with 11 odd sets of eyes the find was easier than with just one set. The weather was a little shakey at this point but on the improvement. The view from here over the dockyards and the big grey ghost is awesome....Great place you have brought us to Empire

After attending the nearby event " The Yarra Expedition " , a group of eager geocachers set out to follow the Yarra. The plan was to collect caches on the way. We found a great variety, including trads, multis, puzzles and even a virtual !! There were some clever hides with a great variety in cache containers. With so many people, most of the hides revealed themselves very quick !! Thanks to all of the CO's for a very entertaining day. TFTC The Empire
Last time we attempted this it was MIA so it was good to finally get this one off our list today while in the company of the Yarra Expo.
Thanks The Empire for the hide.

Today Pam and I spent some time in Williamstown, including a nice lunch, but the wind forced us indoors. Along the way we managed to fit some caching in.
A tricky find, I missed it a couple of times, but eventually found it.
I had to come clean with a guy whose yacht was moored on the western side of the pier, held there not so mush by the mooring ropes, but by the howling wind pressing it against the pier. He'd bought it in Portland and was sailing it up to Bermagui and parts north. Don't think he'll be quitting muggledom and time soon however.
This was find #4 of 7 for the day.
Thanks for placing this cache The Empire

Second attempt to find this cache. Was about to give up but one last check and there it was, cheeky little cache.
Never thought I'd find this cache. Luckily I was with Arkbell80 who found it today.

Had a good look tonight but no luck.. we think we found where it could have been (took a photo i can send u if u want it)
Second visit to this location. Found it with the help of a fellow cacher. Didn't attempt to get the log out as previous entries indicated it was full and didn't want to risk losing it. Great hide!
Bumped into Tristam who overhead my brother and I talking
Hard to not look suspicious

Although we were hoping for a clearer view across the bay, it was a lovely day to be on the pier. It was a quick find in the first place we looked. Just lucky!
Even I could't find this little guy! Replaced it, back in it's original location - the original might be still around, cache creep is a problem with this one - keep an eye out. Watch out for muggles disguised as fishermen on the pier.

No luck today as we had the place to ourselves and could search intensively but could not find the cache.
I was on my way home after attending the Pi day event in Donvale and collecting a few random caches throughout the day. After finding my intended target for the day—3015—I decided to head back into Williamstown and collect a few more smilies before the sun went down. I had just found The Primary Series, and, since I was so close, headed up the pier despite the recent DNFs. I had an extensive but quick look at all the possibilities I could see in the fading light, but came up empty handed. Will keep an eye on this one and see if it materialises in anyone else's hands.
Another fruitless 20 minute search after a previous dnf. Then the muggles came so we abandoned. Pity.
Had a good look today but there was a muggle on a boat watching us. Maybe next time
Looked low and lower for this today but lots of muggles made it difficult to look too hard. Will be back soon though
Too hard today with so many people around! Thought we found it with my great eye sight but couldn't easily suss it out or reach it..
Excellent, this was just excellent! Nice view on the City! TFTC!

The log is full and needs replacing. Also, the container appears to have lost its attractiveness. This one needs some TLC by the CO.

In was down in Melbourne for the Australian Open and had a day off so took a trip to Williamstown for an icecream and a couple of caches. Took a wander to the end of the pier and found about 6 youths sunbaking at GZ. Undeterred, I began my search. I had some semi-muggle friends with me today. They know about geocaching but do not participate themselves. My friend spotted something and it turned out to be the cache. Log was signed, as best as I could and cache returned without a problem. Thanks The Empire for the hide.

was with vicmap and ashleighgreen on our night out. We took a bit work out what area we thought it would be in. We narrowed our search down until something was spotted that made me think coukd it be in there. Oh yes yes it is. Thankfully it was late at night so we were muggle free. Retrieved and signed log and replace. Tftc
This Afternoon I went out with frostedsunshine to do some caches in the area.
The other day we already tried this one but it was way too busy to have a good look around.
Today it was grey and rainy so nobody was up the pier today. Thanks!

Follow the compass it will lead you right there. Enjoyed the view while looking don't step of the rails. We twisted it open
With the family on the way to collect me after escaping from lunch with the out-laws, I needed just one more find for the year to bring my total to 1,100 and I decided that this was it. So, knowing I was on borrowed time, I headed down the pier, hoping the few muggles I could see were not standing right where I needed to be or would move on quickly.
Hmmmm...not much luck on either count. I took a seat and prepared to outwait the purple wiggle...er....muggle...all he was doing was standing around on his own, surely he wouldn't be too long???
Wrong again! A surreptitious search left me empty handed so I pressed the satellite view into action and casually adjusted my position. Aha! Found it!! But the purple muggle was still hanging around and now the geofamily were waiting at the other end of the pier. Fortunately he wandered a little distance away and I was able to make a quick grab. With the log signed, all I needed was a small distraction to make the replacement. Luck was with me again as at that time a pair of tourists appeared wanting a photo on the end of the pier and the purple muggle was happy to oblige. Seeing my opportunity, I snuck the cache back into position and made my escape just as Geohubby came striding in my direction.
Thanks to The_Empire for another tricky hide !

Looking around about 20mins and was about to give up when I saw something out of the ordinary. Found my very first nano-cache @ 12:20pm! Signed the log while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Thanks for bringing me to this picturesque site! TFTC!
It took a while but in the end it was a relatively straight forward nano. We replaced the log while we were there.
I searched and searched in the end I got tired of people looking at me funny!
