I fell climbing that huge rock lmao, lucky I didn’t hit my head on the rocks at the bottom.
Yaahhh! I think we approached this one from the wrong direction!! We walked through lunar fire burnt landscape for ages in the hot sun. Geodad got us to the cliff edge and being a rock climber was eager to scramble down the ridge. Geo Mom was worried about her knees and possibility of breaking a leg - should have brought our harnesses and two tonne Tessie - the name of our climbing rope ... Geo kid miserable hot and avidly engaged in swotting flies with a Casuarina branch. Managed to persuade Geo Dad to research it better and return again later. We are intrigued about this series and the location of the other caches and fate of the mad scientist!!! We will return!!!!
Having completed Ernos Pleasure with the geocrew, we all jumped back in our vehicles to head out for some more fun. This was only just up the road, and off we went into the bush once again. Was a bit of a slog, and some comments from our PF who happened to be leading the way, it seems this was a somewhat different approach to what he recalled. But nonetheless we arrived with cooee of the GZ, where he then left it to myself and Tancan20 to track it down. It was pretty amazing the rocks here, with just a little imagination, you could actually pick out 2 wrecks! It didn’t take long before the cache was located, I retrieved it and gave Tancan20 the honour of replacing it! Really love the rock formations in the George’s River catchment, stunning in places. Headed back out on a much easier path. Lovely outing with geofriends Ad0nis and Meritonn.

Dropped back in here today with a couple of Geo-Mates who had not yet found it. We took the 'scenic route' today, courtesy of Ad0nis, coming up somewhat SW of GZ I think. Very enjoyable - some amazing cliffs, overhangs and caves spotted! Enjoyed it just as much the second time round!
Parking the Geo mobile, we set off down a pleasant forest trail which showed clear evidence of the disaster which had taken place here - contents from the craft was strewn around (alien gloves and other accessories, containers, bits of the craft etc) as well as burnt and discoloured leaves and uprooted trees! After following the trail of destruction and scrambling down some rocks we finally came upon the downed alien craft - it was truly a sight to behold! We found the gash in its side and climbed aboard to explore. After a short search the cache was found, however no aliens were encountered today. Thanks so much for bringing us here, a magnificent spot!
Catching up on logging all my finds since i joined in July. This actually looked like a real alien ship! Great sized cache!. Tftc!
A very quick hike through the bush to make the find before the sun went down. Awesome cache!
In light of the current travel restrictions and the requests by regional councils to stay away etc, I am disabling all my caches until the COVID-19 situation has passed and things return back to normal. Please respect this and do not go looking for these caches.
Team Webguy I found your cache Alien Abduction #4 - The Crash Site on 20/7/19, 2:15 pm. This is my find 2421 and find # 4 today. If the GPSr is pointing there, it’s there. After 4 attempts in the same spot, and a more thorough search eventually came up with the cache. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
My fourth Alien Abduction find.
With the rumours of alien activity in the area how could i pass up the chance to discover some ground breaking evidence.
After parking up on Florence Rd and noting the detritus and leftovers of more terrestrial beings i headed down into the bush towards the crash site.
I had an easy walk till i ran into a ridge line and needed to take a small detour to find my way down.
Having had some experience in where these alien abductors like to hide i zeroed in on 2 likely spots once i reached the GZ and was lucky enough to locate the cache of UFO artifacts in the first place i looked.
Thanks.

We returned after a DNF from about 2 years ago. This time the etrex was accurate and we found the well hidden cache in the first place that we searched. All we had to do was search in a spot that we hadn't searched before. TFTC.
Off to Ingleburn today from the central coast with the kids to grab some parts for our geocar ...and to grab some caches! This was a great opportunity to attempt some western Sydney caches which we have had bookmarked for waay too long. We made five from five today and this was our second. I have at least one other of this series bookmarked but after doing this one today I now can't wait to get onto it plus some more! The kids did fine here - it was I who slipped over and grazed my arm. I failed to beware of leaf litter in dry bush before removing GPSr from pocket! TFTC, Team Webguy. SLTNLN and we report cache in great + dry condish.

Today we had 7 caches on our sights, We started the day early hoping to be able to achive our plan.
They were all exceptional, it was hard to choose the best one for the day. We scrambled, slid, climbed and a lot of walking. Some very well hidden caches. Once we were to our last 3 it started to rain, but we weren't going to stop, from there the rocks got a bit slippery but we just soldered on.
Thanks to the COs for placing these caches here. TNSL TFTC

I'm hot on the heels of these pesky aliens and followed them back to the mother ship. Looks like they've been partying hard - perhaps not suspecting how close I am to tracking them down. I squirmed into the nest but suspect that some of the cache-blindness virus I contracted at #2 may still be in my system. Had to shake it off by doing a full lap of the ship before taking a closer look.

One of only a few caches left to find in this super area. Spent the day with geoson whilst Mrs H was working getting a few higher terrain ones knocked off the list. This one was surprisingly tame to what we were expecting but a great location nonetheless, and a really good hide. TFTC Team Webguy!

This is a series I have wanted to do more of for a while, so relished the chance to grab another today.
Enjoyed the climb down to GZ, then examined the mother ship looking for Webby type hides. Saw a likely spot, saw an even likelier pile of rocks inside it, then went in to check it out. Surprisingly, though I was in basically the right spot, the hide was a lot more friendly than I was expecting. The cache was retrieved with minimal contortions and the clue duly noted.

What a great place for a cache. Amazing sandstone boulders all around GZ. We looked right where it was as soon as we got there because it seemed like a great place to hide something but somehow missed it. Geodogs were also in every crevice of the area having a blast. Searched a hundred other places before returning to our first spot with a torch and came up with the goods... doh. This gets a favourite point from us for the location and hide. Thanks for the great cache. Have only done 2 team webguy caches so far and we've given both a favourite point - can't wait to find the others.
When I first visited this cache I didn't realise there were clues to be collected! Anxious to find what I had missed I returned today. The cache was easily found. A bit too easily. So we replaced it where it had been last time we had visited
With this clue in hand I was only missing one more! Off to the blue mountains!

I'm a sucker for a series, and have been working on this one for more than a year. With the metres reading approx 5m, I saw a promising area, but thought I might read a couple of logs first. Hmm, they have got me a bit worried. Anyway, not time for procrastinating today, so leaped into the search, and was relived to find it where I had theorised.
Now I have all the codes - time to solve the final!

What a fabulous cache! Thanks webguy! This took longer than it should have. A well hidden cache in a fairly obvious location. Favourite+1!
After a work meeting I had time for a cache or two in an area I don't get to often a long way from home (northern beaches). I loved the walk to GZ, although the garbage strewn near the parking spot was a bit unpleasant (including the remains of the most ginormous Y-fronts - it's hard to image the size of their owners).
So down the bush track I went. I had boots and gaiters but was still in office trousers - a bad choice as events transpired. I found the crash site and had a careful look in the "gash", trying to stay clean. I then circled the craft, checking all the wonderful nooks and crannies, and returned to the gash. This time I really went for it, squeezing all the way in as far as I could go with my torch held grimly by my teeth. In hindsight, my fixation with this spot was my undoing because, on re-reading some earlier logs, I see "it could have easily been placed in a much meaner place". I think that's pretty much where I went.
I climbed out of the wreckage and dusted off. I would have some explaining to do to Mrs T when I got home regarding the state of my trousers.
Thanks Team Webguy. I searched but didn't find the cache so this cache is a DNF for me. Turned back at 3:30 pm.

We were down this way to collect the car after it stop on the freeway and the car company would only tow it to the nearest dealer. So after picking up the car it was time to make some finds and seeing we were close to this one there was only one thing to do so headed over. The previous DNF had us a little concerned but it was not that far in so soon we arrived at the mother ship or as our GPSr initially had it between two mother ships but did eventually pick the right one. The aliens certainly mad a mess on the way in given the rubbish up at the road. The scramble was not too hard and then it was down to the search. Plenty spots for a cache and we did get a little concerned when we found a rock platform had been built on the south side of the wreck but we came back to a more likely spot and searched but thought we where over extending ourselves. It was when we came back for a second look we found the well hidden cache. We duly noted down the clues and then completed the signing duties and re hid, TFTC

It has been a while since I found a Webby cache? Always a pleasure to go for a well designed and maintained cache. Had an easy walk till 20 meters from GZ and then a little obstacle, but not to hard for me. Found the cache soon as it was were I would have hidden it as well!

Its been a while since I look over this investigation with the alien activity. I have 3 pieces for information already discovered previously and nothing more. Its about time I start trying to solve this story of the aliens and finish it once and for all.
I have knew about this crash site for a while but haven't had the time to attend to the location and suss the place out. Today I parked to the nearest street and walked my way towards this location. Evidence was revealed already with a burned out car nearby. Kids I thought. Maybe not. Maybe damage and destruction from the aliens crash site. I must be at the right area.
Found a few sketchy trails towards this crash site, not simple but very much not difficult at all. I soon got to the cliff line where the crash site was there!! There it was, a giant spaceship and aircraft has smashed into the earth caused rocks to scatter everywhere, into all different shapes and shapes and overhangs, many and many spots here to hide away for alien activity. I decided to get straight in there and see was evidence was left inside the craft. Many entries to the craft but many too big for humans to squeeze into. But still room to probe in to take a look about. I did this all around the craft hoping to find as much info about this as possible.
I had found something. Clear bottles full of a clear liquid hidden in a crack below this craft. Most probably water left behind by the rock climbers from their bouldering session but not wanting to take any risks, I left the unknown bottles where they were and continued my investigation.
After circling the entire craft, I got a sense (most likely from a settled GPSr) that I should return to the first location in the search to looking harder. Again, attempting to climb into this craft was looking like another failed journey until I showed more curious to certain features which then looked to reveal a little something. Success!! Although the aliens look to have been long gone, one vital piece of evidence was found. Again, found some info that may be useful towards my investigations. Photos taken and information recorded. Time to leave the scene and work on some of the information found.
Great location and great hide!!! Well done Webby, yet another fantastic cache in some awesome terrain. Enjoyed it very much!!!! A fave point for sure!!

Wish I would have read the description before I went down and got this, had no idea about the alien language and the clues. Will have to return to this one and complete the rest of the series TFTC!
0200 GAFF1 (Yes, we are told we are 'CRAZY' at work when they know what we get up to on the weekend!)
Having come this far - 274 km SW ATCF, to get a D4/T3½ cache it was time to 'off-set the cost' by getting at least another cache while in the area! This one looked quite doable at night, so we headed on down - two headlights are better than one.
Reminded me of my hunts around where I grew up in Fox Valley (Wahroonga). Great bush to walk through, after some of the bashes we had done. Found cache dry and intact.
Left: a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen. Took nothing - not even a photo.
Brought through for mileage: 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, Beagle Bixby, B 2 B ingot, Homer J TB, Iconic Bridges, Just Monkeying Around Oz, Little Moo, PAP, Play Well, Trackabulldog, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, and trackable shirt.
TFTC Team Webguy, another that would qualify for the Night Caching thesis, but will add to the Challenging Cache one!

Yes, two headlights are better than one, when on a Night Caching 'expedition' with Cookie. It was getting quite late by this stage, and still a 'ways to go' to get to Gloucester, but why not find one more cache while in 'the area'! (I can always sleep while Cookie drives - or vice versa).
Anyway, the bush was easy to negotiate, and found our way to the right spot without any injuries. All good with the cache. Left a pencil.
Nick Starrs Starr and Hedge Hopper TBs thru.

After originally being on the wrong side of the valley and doing the caches over there, we made our way to the right fire trail and soon found ourselves staring at what could have easily been an alien craft from times gone by or at least from a movie or 2 such as independence day! A huge crash site! Made our way down to the belly of the craft and thought that maybe there were alien remains sitting at the controls but alas, all remains had been collected by others of their species. Sent geowife in to retrieve the cache. A great spot to hide. Now have more clues as to where the missing scientist is! SL and returned cache. Took TB and headed away from a favourite hide to go have lunch. TFTC Webby! Looking forward to the last couple in the series.
Not child friendly, more like child compulsive to get where those tiny aliens hid.
After finding Alien Abduction 1, 2, and 3 I realised that I forgot to get the clue. So I returned on 1st of April.
DO NOT FORGET THE CLUES!

Parked up on the road opposite a gate to a property so it didn't look like my car was abandoned. As I descended towards the cache there was clear evidence of contact with aliens. A burnt out car wreck was left upside down to rust away to it's original basic elements.
Found a couple of old trails, but as per the cache notes, had to bush bash to GZ.
Was quite surprised to see the rock formation at GZ. Spent a bit of time looking in all sorts of nooks, crannies, crevices, holes. Any respectful alien would be proud of the probing that was going on. Cache finally revealed itself.
Thanks for the great hide and identifying this place to me.
Left a TB.

No joy with this cache. Suggest geo's take hand held gps for this one, as phone service drops out as you descend down the hill to the GZ
Decided to start this series today, it has a great theme!
Nice little walk in, bit of a drop to GZ!
I stood back and looked around at GZ, the HUGE rock looks like a crashed UFO !
Went exploring and found the cache.
Took nothing and left nothing either.
TFTC can't wait to do the rest of the series.

Thought I had better get off my backside and start to clear out all my unfound caches in the local area.
So with not much to do today I thought I would head out and grab this one. Two cars were parked at the end of the road so I thought I would just play it safe and avoid them (trust me some strange stuff goes on at the end of this road) by parking back down the road a bit. This worked out well actually. After some plodding along brushing the big spider webs aside it became a case of following the cacher trail that has developed to the hidey-hole. Spotted the cache in the first place I looked and thought to myself that this was not a cache for old, overweight guys with bad backs. Eventually got the cache out and did the business.
Nice spot Webguy, I can honestly say I have never wandered around this little patch of Peter Meadows Creek before. Always good to explore another part of the local area.

We risked life and limb and went into the unknown to find the cache. Happy to report no aliens sighted in the vicinity just a nice cache in a nice piece of Sydney sandstone country.
Swapped a few trinkets.

This one was a bit of a bushbash, and we wouldn't have even got there if it weren't for Bikerbuddy's brilliant memory. It wasn't loaded onto our GPS's, you see. Thanks for the brilliant cache, Webby! [^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^]
Awesome location. Thanks team webguy, its good to get a crawl once in a while!!!
My 550 th cache! The geohubby has a GOOD memory. While we were out near here today going to another cache, he said 'lets go to Alien 4'. Without it on the GPS, he found his way there and let us look. An impressive spot. Probably the best of the 3 Aliens I've done so far. Thanks Webby!

After tackling number 6 a couple of weeks ago, this one was a walk in the park!
It has been a few years since I cached around the Campbelltown area but it is always nice caching along the Georges River valley.
A fairly easy walk in and only a few minutes to find the cache once we got there.
Thanks Webguy.

Having failed to complete the Alien Outpost series, I'm determined to complete the Alien Abduction and this is the penultimate cache before I hunt down their base. Damo and I ventured down Campbelltown way, and after having a 'geocacher's breakfast' we parked at the nearest entry point and headed into the bush - a bit like the amorous couple in the parked car nearby.
Compared to one or two of the other caches in the series this was a walk in the park. The cache was found easily and the details recorded. We left a TB from Quebec in the cache and replaced it in its hidey hole. Top little spot.

Number 4 in the quest with 2 more to go and #285. Made the special trip out here today with Geoson as we have not touched the Alien Abduction series for a long time. Took one hour to find the parking spot as I didn't have a map, street directory or satnav and this is not an easy area to navigate by just 'turn down here, oh no another "no through road"'. On approaching the GZ, we could see the wrecked spaceship lying on its side and sure enough there were alien remenants inside for us to find. Thanks for the cache Webby.
This was a fairly quick grab for a Webby cache. I geuss we were expecting something else. (We got those later in the day!?!)

Aliens, aliens, the aliens are coming. Arriving at the closest parking spot I was unsure how safe the car would be here, ahh what the hell its only 200m to GZ.
Once at GZ I found a likely spot and then too quickly I had the cache in hand. I'm sure that not where Webby would hide it but I put it back where I found it and took the required info.
Thank guys.

Got to this one after having the worse caching morning that I have had. Pouring rain, bush bashing from a dnf. I needed to get another cache. At gz I started my search and read some logs until I read what I had to do. I searched the hole next to the right one first, oh did I tell you I was soaked, so the sand stuck to me. I had to clean it off with my drinking water, and to think I had to do it again in the right hole.
At that hole got my torch and spotted the cache straight away. Hooooorrayyy didnt leave sydney with only doing one cache.
Also must say I lost a 300 dollar watch sometime today, it is a silver casio, if anyone finds it please get in contact with me

This would have to be the longest I have ever driven to find a specific cache. I only did two today and both were from Webguy's Alien Abduction series. I had decided I wouldn't try for these because of the distance unless I got #1 in the series, and I got that yesterday. So today I headed for Campbell Town and found myself wandering into a piece ofbush I've never seen before. The landscape at GZ was quite magnificent. Having done a few Webguy caches now, I had a pretty good idea where to look when I got there, and I was happy to have nabbed it straight away, because I wasn't going after the next one unless I could get this one.
Overall, this was a short walk through fairly easy terrain. Only two traditionals to go after this one. Thanks Webguy.

Left the geowife in the car for this one, it is a Webbie cache after all....
A short stretch and wiggle and I had it in my grubby hands.
It could have easily been placed in a much meaner place,..... thanks Webguy for being kind to old fellas like me....
Still lots of places left around here for some more great cache hides....

Still lots of places left around here for some more great cache hides....
After a bit of a climb down to the crash site I was not prepared to venture all the way to the cache. Took a pic - hope that counts. Good area to explore. Saw one rock wallaby type thing and a big brown pigeon. TFTC.
was a great hide this one nearly got lost in the gash lol but we poked around a bit sgt.salem was in the right hole but couldnt fit all the way so as the smaller of the two of us i went in to see if i could fit right in the back and i fit suprisingly and didnt take me long to see it was a great hide i look forward to seeing the other caches in this series.
i have to say maybe i wasnt ready to go caching in the bush yet after tearing two ligaments in my ankle after a rainbow spirit cache but it was worth the fun and im not going to stop caching for a sore ankle tftc tn left bullet

Returning to active field duties with me was sgt rios 88 having done hideyhole on his own he felt fit enough for a bit of a cache with me. Love the idea behind this series of caches so it had to be my first port of call. Having searched the cache for clues and nearly getting lost in that gash, that was warm!! We headed out. Slowly as it appears rios ankle hadn't quite mended none the less a great hide in a great location! Onto another of the alien series soon enough
Second attempt at this one. We gave it a go about 2 months ago but due to the heat and our lack of light we came up empty handed. However, today we brought all members and armed ourselves with some light emitting devices. Got to the GZ, no mountain bikers or fuzz today so we arrived at the GZ unhindered. Our first attmpet we knew where the cache should have been but coulndt find it, so luckily abel G crept in and found it as soon as we hit the on button on the torch. Great hide, nice little entrance into the alien spacecraft. Upon opening the cache we recognised the alien language (funnily enough) from episodes of pokemon we watched as kids. Probably wont have the cache series solved in ages, but scrolled the hint down never the less. Left behind a googly eyed penguin sticky. TFTC
Parked the shuttle nearby was getting all the search equipment ready when The men in black (actuary blue)
showed up out of no were wanted to know what I was up to and doing in this area. The Alien search apparatus
that I had looked like GPS unit and explained I was geocaching and what this hobby involved never mentioning
Alien Abductions.for fear of them using that flashing thing to blank my mind anyway satisfied with my explanation
they went on their way.
The heat at the crash site was not a problem today I found a narrow entrance in the ship but no way could I
Squeeze in there, moved down and found a more exposed part that I was able to crawl into and using the light
amplification tool the cache was revealed. The evidence of their existence was recorded on the spectrum analyser
Be warned some sort Alien machinery is still working it will take skin cells samples off you if you get to careless.
Looking forward to doing the rest and solving this mystery thanks Team Webguy really enjoyed this one...

The quest nears it’s end. This warm sweaty day found us in the southern realms to seek the final piece of information we required to locate the new alien base & commander. The shuttle was left in low orbit and we set off into bush once more. This is a lovely area, open light scrub when one leaves any track or fire trail one happens to be on and seldom anything which warrants the title of hill or stiff climb. Certainly plenty of scope for scrambling around low cliff lines however. We wended along a fire trail we found for a short distance and thence through some of the aforesaid light scrub whereupon we found ourselves at a low escarpment. Now little is it known that some of their ships are in fact small powered asteroids – which make for a great disguise. Especially when things go awry. We know not what befell this particular craft but were glad to find the rock shaped vehicle and surrounding area utterly deserted. We poked around and soon discerned a likely looking spot to poke around a little deeper. In fact we’d found the information container within a couple of minutes of our arrival, but for good or ill it may be that we are overly familiar with some of the Webmeister’s hiding techniques. Thus we were soon photographing and transcribing the necessary data before returning the data cube to it’s sly little abode. We actually consider this and the “Lookout†as the most likely to ensnare the odd DNF – so have your wits about you, when you seek this ‘un. The area itself, though not far from the road and not hard at all to reach is quite peaceful in it’s bushy & rock bestrewn setting.
Found 16:15 arrived at the crash site I soon circumnavigated the alien craft, confirming all was clear, was joined by geo-wife and geo-pup who had kept a safe distance for fear of radiation or other alien organisms. Geo-pup was determined to investigate the inner sanctum of the craft and hunt out any remaining aliens. After some further examination of the hull of the craft a small container of alien origin was located and the alien writing recorded. TNLN thanks, will tackle the others soon.
The heat from the crash site just zaped me today and to add to it kept hitting some sort of force field and
pockets of extra heavy gravity, fell over a few times and lets not talk about the time distortion factor here.
The radiation here seems to make the flys and insects much bigger and annoying. Will resort to watching
X files DVD Mulder and co know how to deal with these guys....will return better equipped....

After arriving home from a spot of caching this morning, I found all was well at home and so I figured I'd leave everyone in their happy state and take the Geoboy off GeoMels hands for a little while "come on boy were off to nab some more aliens" or at least were they've been hiding. arriving at GZ we spotted a cacher in the wild, doing a reasonable job of looking for the cache to, truly I feared my hopes had been dashed as I arrived with the geoboy for another FTF, it took quite some time to locate too, "there's simply no way it could be in there?" but yep you guessed it Webby's been up to some old tricks, and really pulled off a doosey of a cache hide this time, and again it's located in a favourite area of caching for the ruffasgutts4x4 mob, I did the honours and we were all to soon logging our finds but unfortunately not quite quick enough for the FTF on this one RTEC got it and he did a swell job of rehiding the cache and covering his tracks too, kept us guessing for a while.
Thanks for the cache and Thanks for your help HedleyLamarr it's always nice to make aquaintences in the field.

Found the crash site early this morning, it took abit of effort but got there eventually. No aliens there today but saw the green ooze over the rocks. Will have to go to others sometime. Thanks for the FTF.
Head down searching when company arrives - ruffasgutts4x4 and ruffasgutts4x4 junior. Great to meet fellow cachers and also very grateful for assistance. Must admit I was struggling on this one until ruffasgutts4x4 came up with the goods. Cache very well hidden. Hopes for a FTF (in all fairness, for him rather than for me) until the log book was opened and there was a familiar name: RTEC+. Curses all round! TFTC.
