Part of the track is closed due to fallen trees over the bridges, but the cache remains!
A big days walk scooping up whatever caches i can get round, possibly over-ambitious! Always prefer these remote caches so appreciate everyone's efforts to get them out in the wilds. TFTC.This was a quick drive by, run in and grab after a long days walk.
Clouds must have been playing games but we got there and found grumpy Felix
I was in the area today for a Birdlife Melbourne photographic outing and discovered this cache near the path of the walk. The find took a few minutes as the GZ coordinates (by GPSr) were about 5 m+ from where I eventually found the cache. But all good in the end. Thanks to hi pressure for the cache.
Was a nice walk to this cache, but there was about 100mL of water in it.Dried it as best I could, and left a TB in there.
Had a great day out getting quite a few in the dirtbag series and a few other ones.
Some good spots in the area.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Cache Guardians for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

I was in the area checking out Mortimers Adventure, this was close by, a nice short walk was had for an easy find. I cant believe its taken me twelve years to come and find these caches.
Thanks Hi Pressure for placing this cache.

With the weather finally coming good it was time to hit the trails. Today was going to be all about the walk. Any caches along the way would be a bonus. It was a great start to the morning with a walk along this awesome path. Different birds where calling from different directions, cache was located and signed swiftly GPS only out by a bit. Container was full of water but suprisingly log was dry.
I’m trying to fill in some dates on my calendar so this one was today’s, my 2nd 2010 Hi Pressure cache find this weekend. For some reason, I've never been along this road beyond Gembrook. It's a lovely drive and I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of tracks and parking so I was pleased to find a nice little spot for the car and a well maintained walking track to the cache. Unexpectedly, we came across a young couple with a baby walking near the cache, cachers or walkers???
This is my favourite kind of cache, not a big or difficult walk from the car, a good size container in a logical place and a spot lovely enough to encourage me to keep walking and exploring. Geeodog and I walked to the end of this section and back, not a very long walk but enough for my old dog and we didn't get too wet in the drizzle.
Cache was in perfect condition, dry as a bone, even with 332 days unloved, and deserving of a favourite point from us.
Thanks Cache Guardians for keeping this one in play and ready to be found.

Nice little walk, damp at this time of year but pleasant on a sunny day TNLNSL TFTC
Dropped trackable. day1976 had done this cache but it was a short loop track so we jumped out of the car and i searched around. day1976 looked in one spot but said it wasnt there, so i didnt go look there, but it turns out it was there all along.
While in the area, Toolman and myself thought we would check this one.

A bushfire is active near GZ of this cache. Disabled until further notice.
After a DNF on the related cache, I was starting to worry when the stump at the GZ turned up nothing. However after searching the 4th stump in the area, I found the nice large sized container and the goodies within. The log book.has been wet at some stage, but was still able to sign in.
Thanks for the cache hi pressure

As I had done the one across the road I decided to come across and grab this one also. There is no signal at this cache or T least not for my phone but was still able to find the cache quite easy and this time I followed the path.
The log book on this cache is quite wet and as I did not have any sheets I signed as best I could.
Fun little cache and was easily accessible

Nice little walking find. Only ever walked the other side of the road. Thanks for the new walk
I found this just in time as my phone was losing power fast. The nice sized container was empty, except for a soggy log. Thanks for bringing me to this peaceful place.
I love this walk. Now there's a cache here it's even better. Must do the rest of it some time soon, maybe with my caching buddy who likes a walk too. TFTC
Great little walk with awesome interpretative signs. Log every wet. Needs some attention.
Sorry about the generic logs on this one but, this was just another one of those caches that you end up picking up during the day and can not really remember much about. I do not really have much to say that made this cache particularly stand out at all but I would like to thank you for the cache none the less, without people like you this game would not be able to continue.

I parked just opposite this walk, but only at the end of finding all in this series did I realize that parking in the camping grounds would have been ideal. This place is so serene and quite, it feels like you have stepped back in time. I found the cache without too much trouble, perhaps just looking at the right time. TFTC
Took a look at the GPS as I pulled up beside the road. Walked what I thought was the right distance and before I had a chance to turn the GPS back on I spotted something just a little too neat to be natural. Yep there it was. TFTC cache was wet inside and notepad fairly damp but could still write on it.
Second in this series after cache maintenance in Gembrook. This was a nice simple walk and simple find. Thanks to hi pressure for the cache.
Found tonight with TrailStevo. Was a quick find without any reception on the phone. TFTC
Out and about for a stroll in the bush and hopefully grab a couple of caches.
Thanks hi pressure FTC. The only wildlife seen were a few butterflies and the
usual pest flies.

I was in this forest a few weeks ago and the wee treks I took in this spookily serene environment actually managed to reignite some enthusiasm for traditional caches. So I returned today. This was the first I found in the area, after a fairly short search. Improbably for an almost human-free area it seems I might have missed crossing paths with kmps by just a few hours. Thanks hi pressure!
Well I have been wanting to do these 4X2X2 caches pretty much since I started caching but there has aways been something in my way.
Today marks my first 5 hour period with no responsibility in nearly 7 years. With geo son at school, Geo daughter at kinder, hubby at work and all my work commitments up to date of course caching was my priority. I'm a bit of a hi_pressure groupie and I don't mind a bit of unlove which was available on a nearby cache in this series.
The weather was perfect a mild day with cloud cover, the birds we singing and the wildlife was bouncing through the forest.
This was a very quick walk down a path I haven't been before, the cache wasn't found where my GPS said but after some easy searching a good sized container was soon found. It was a little damp inside and the swaps were a bit mouldy so I removed them. The log book and actual cache container in great condition.
I guess you probably wont ever read this but thanks hi_pressure for getting me back to my roots, a walk in the bush is good for my soul. I hope this cache continues and I'll keep an eye on it incase maintence is required in the future.
TFTC took the squish swaps left nothing SL TBV
*I should add my suspicions on an early Autumn were confirmed when I did this cache I saw two flowering Hyacinth Orchids.

It was a lovely walk. Kids did a good search and finally we found but it's not the obvious choice of tree stump!!
On a lovely day out with the wife and geo-son we enjoyed a nice walk through the area. I had walked past this cache with geo-step-daughter many years ago, not to long after it was placed actually. But that was the dark days before I knew about caching which is a pity because I would have been in for a chance for a FTF if I had of only been enlightened.
There it was. Hint was useful. Make sure you go from the parking lot. I actually came in from a side road before the parking load and went through a fence a had no trail to follow.
Found at 1415 on a quick caching run around Bunyip State Park with SirJ-Oz and the folks. We decided to walk the short 'loop' as a post-lunch preparation for the main trail, though from reading the signs it appeared that we were walking it backwards. It was a pleasant stroll through varying types of foliage, and certainly felt different to the environment I've become used to in and around Canberra. Once on site SirJ and I played follow-the-arrow-in-circles for a while on our respective devices; in the meantime Dad had wandered a little way off looking for fungus and had noticed something suspiciously camo-like, and the cache was in hand shortly after - that's Muggles-2, Cachers-0 so far.
We signed the log and I dropped off the 1st Austinmer Rover Crew (1ARC) TB, then we headed onwards. Everything was in good order with the cache - thanks hi pressure.

Find #1641. Found @ 14:15 with AmethystPig on a trip around Cardinia Reservoir and Bunyip Forrest with some of AP's family along.
We'd collected the primary target cache for today, but there is always room for one (or several) more.
After a lunch break and change of venue, we begun a combined caching walk and fungi inspection tour. AP's father photographs, logs types and locations of fungi.
We'd found a few specimens, and an unplanned cache, and this was our seventh cache for the day. My GPSr was leading me astray but, once again, AP's father picked the location without using technology.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache hi pressure.

What a lovely walk through this woodland. Highly educational too. Found hide without trouble, picked up Elli the Elephant TB, left a keyring. TFTC

Need to find a cache that was big enough to drop off a fairly large trackable. This one had us going round in circles a little bit but we finally got it. TFTC.....and what a lovely location.
Nice bush area to go for a stroll a couple of trees over the track from recent winds. Tftc

Find #1289
I headed out tonight with my caching partner Stemicmitsar primarily to continue a long Mystery cache that we have been working on for a few weeks. We did of course pick up whatever other caches we could along the way.
Having found a cache on the other side of the main track, we headed here for a quick find. Not 'unloved' but good to find another cache in this series nonetheless.

Found @ 11:15pm, find # 3339.
Tonight biggles1024 and myself continued your mission to find the next lot of waypoints for a mystery cache we are working on. On the way we were also finding others in the area as we went by, this was one of them.
After finding the cache on the other side of the road, we then continued on to this one. This side of the road was a much easier and pleasant walk to GZ, where we had a short search before the cache was found, once again by Mark.
Thanks to hi pressure for placing this cache.

Quick easy find on beautiful loop walk, saw an echidna along the way. Thanks for the cache hi pressure.
This is a lovely and well maintained walking track, easily accessible via bitchumen road and with informative signage to guide the way - it's difficult to understand why this cache is not visited more often. Once close to GZ it took a few trys to identify where the cache was hidden, and as it turned out it was in the most obvious (and hence least likely) location. The cache-hide appears to be deteriorating and a new place to put the container might need to be found soon. I did my best to restore things before I left.
After spending Australia Day in the area, me and the boys were back for more caching in the area. The plan was to do some caches in the Kurth Kiln Regional Park and work our way down through Bunyip State Park and to see how far we could go. It was quite warm at 30 degrees but under the cover of the tree canopy it wasn't too bad.
We had a great day, working our way through the area along many dirt tracks, stopping for a 'picnic' lunch along the way. The boys had a great time and they were awe struck at some of the spots we eventually ended up at.
I missed the track to GZ on the first pass, so did a U-bolt and spotted the entrance on the way back. I parked the Pathy and the boys and I had a nice stroll to GZ. The tree coverage played a bit on the GPS but I spotted some likely hiding spots and after we did some investigating, we finally had the cache and were signing the log.
Thanks for the hide.

Lovely day, Lovely walk. GPS wouldnt settle and was sending me in circles at least 5m away from the cache.. but I was there with someone who had found it before so I didnt have to look too hard, he got sick of watching me walk in circles. LOL.

This was a faily easy find.

Together with Dylan 7a we undertook to walk to all of the Caches in the set and by doing so passed under a thick Foest canopy with its myriad of sounds, sights that enlivened our senses. Found the Cache which is holiding up quite well despite the ferocious (they do have a bad temper if you inadvertently disturb them) Bullants that have placed their nest at GZ. So caution in retrieving this one, especially with children (let alone Adults). Thanks to 'hi pressure' for such an enjoyable series of caches done with fine intent which I echo as per the caching notes. TNLN.
Short walk to find the cache. Watch out for the Bullants. Found with The Quiet Plodder. TFTC

After spending the night in the State park it was time to head home, not without at least one cache though. After a nice walk and a good look on the wrong side of the path we finally found it.

Another nice short walk to gz, where the tree cover played around with the GPS, but soon enough it pointed me close enough to the correct spot. Thanks again to hi pressure.
Made the mistake of not seeing the start of the walking trail from the road, so bush-bashed from Crichton Rd, nearby. Definitely wasn't a good idea! Heavy undergrowth, wasn't sure what I was putting my foot into at a few points. After I made it to the walking track, it was a relatively easy find after the GPSr settled down. TFTC.
Found with Iain from the Swaggie's after doing a couple of cache's in this serie's we decided to try our luck and complete the serie's whilst here but with the light fading and our legs hurting from previous cache's in the area we got all but one, so return i must (not that i needed an excuse to return to this great state park)
A good walk with great company on a Fantasic day for caching.

After doing all the triplets series we figured that we had enough daylight left to do a couple more so we headed up here to tackle some of the 4x2x2 series. We were amazed to discover that we were on bitumen again and in this case it was a very short walk. Took TB, and headed off to do some more. Thanks Hi-Pressure for the caches.
We found this cache at 3:40pm as the 12th of 18 on our Olinda to Gembrook. After the cache to the north, we hopped across the road for it's partner. Our 119th 3TF. Thanks from D & S B-A.

It was a nice enough day and with a bit of cloud it made the weather seem a bit cooler. Team Crackers had rung and it was decided a joint FTF hunt was in order so of we traveled to this cache. With Nuvi doing all the hard work we arrived at the best location it could find and with distances a bit further than first thought we set off for this cache.
The trail was uphill and it was hard going at times and "Gees I hate em when the GPS distance gets further away because you have to double back" but the cache hunt continued.
I cannot say it was only a short time before we arrived at the cache GZ as it was a bit longer than that but at least we got there. The search was on and we exhausted many spots without finding the cache which we wondered how well it was hidden. Finally Crackers made a call to the cache owner who went beyond normal cache help by helping more or was this a case of knowing about your cache hides because I can never remember anything about mine.
Hi Pressure did some checks and double checked all his notes before it was realised there was an error. Hi Pressure at this stage offered a fully equipped evacuation helicopter fitted with a fridge filled with Bundy and 50 vouchers for coffee, but we had to decline> He then offered a rescue 4wd Assault vehicle equipped with Cannons, and more fire power than the whole US army but without Fullonphil onboard we said we were fine. Finally we declined the final offer of 2 boy scouts with broken compasses and suggested just the right coordinates would be fine.
With the new coordinates entered we were on our way again and by taking a shortcut through a great location that is worthy of a cache we arrived back at the car a lot quicker. Now I can safely say in no time we arrived at the cache location and after a nice walk on flat ground we arrived at the cache GZ. There was a search in a few likely spots as the EPE was around the 18 metres and finally it was Team Crackers who found the well hidden cache, we are calling this a joint FTF based on the events of this cache.
Our thanks to Hi Pressure for the cache even though we did 2x2 a bit more than what was needed we did get back to nature and the Giant March Flies on our Backs are Nature which makes the cache name very accurate, it was fun.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "wait for my new cache titled "its not here" in a location that was not here soon" Coffee Clan.
