Due to road closure and road works, this has to be disabled for the moment. No trackables inside so no dramas there. Once works are complete, hopefully final location still remains. Otherwise, will have to create new Mudgee Mile. Maybe the recently discovered big arse red belly black resident will move on too.

TFTC Buggerme. A great tour of Mudgee while geocaching.

A pleasant drive around a lovely town. Really impressed with the buildings and what has been done with the headstones from the 3 old cemeteries. A bit wary when the final GZ was so far from where we were but as we neared GZ we were reassured and there the cache was. TFTC

What a great way to show off your beautiful town! We really enjoyed finding our way around from waypont to waypoint and had to remind ourselves to look up from our GPS's and take in all of the great architecture of the place.
We were a bit surprised by the location of GZ and were convinced as we approached it, that we'd made a mistake, but, no, there it was! Definitely worth a favourite point1 TFTC buggerme.

I've been slowly working on this great multi for about a week now as we have been house sitting in Mudgee. It has taken me to lots of Mudgee's nooks & crannies. WP2 being the most interesting for 3 reasons:
1) A magpie attacked me. 2) There are 2 James Blackman. 3) The Blackman's arrived on the same ship as some of my ancestors. Thanks for showing me the lesser know corners of Mudgee. SL TFTC

One of the waypoints did cause us some confusion but we finally worked it out yesterday and came here this morning and made the find. A very interesting multi that showed us parts of Mudgee that we would otherwise not have found. Well done.

Satisfying find. Went to all waypoints, learned lots about Mudgee. tftc

I had some spare time this morning and so I decided to tackle the Mudgee Mile. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the catalyst for this little adventure was indeed my own tour cache in Gulgong.

A pleasant drive around town gathering the required information from some landmarks that I was familiar with and then some others that I had no idea existed. Before long I had the required information and it was off to GZ for an easy find.

Thanks buggerme for the cache.

Thanks for the tour around town. The first WP had us wondering when hubby had a thought and thought like buggerme. Then at another WP I was left wondering when hubby again though like buggerme and with the final co-ords headed out and the cache was in our hands. SL TNLN TFTC

Mudgee Trip 2013. I took this one slowly and carefully and luckily I reached a spot at the end with a cache. Most of the spots along the way were interesting. I struggled with the Blackman questions as there seemed a few options. I liked the way the headstones have been preserved and the plaques made the reading easier. I did see a lot of Mudgee today. Time for lunch and get back east. Thanks.

Hadnt ever thought I would be able to get this one, mainly because of the old cemetary, and the head stones faded, however a quick check online had me with what I needed.

So off me and a friend went, gathered all information, checked where it was, then off we went to retrieve.

I left nothing but picked up 2 pathtags!

Congratulations on producing one of the most enjoyable multicaches that we have done. As residents of a not to distant town it was great visiting sites that we just normally drive past. Thank you for making our weekend of caching special.

On our way home slowly and stayed overnight in Mudgee to pick up the local caches. Got some of the info last night and completed this morning. Set off to GZ in hope and delighted to find the cache quickly.
Informative multi which we enjoyed.

I know I tried to follow the Mudgee Mile a year or two ago and completely stuffed up something Red Face
But today I was back in towne and determined to make amends.
It was fun to revisit the olde spots and work out the numbers again.
The crazy cemetery at waypoint 3 is still my favourite Big Grin
With the numbers gathered and crunched I worked out the coords.
They seemed to be in a reasonable place and I hopped back in the geomobile to drive back across towne Razz
Looking closely at GZ and there she was [:o]
Damn it feels good to get this cache off the map [^]

Good fine today so off I went. All went well until one clue did not compute. Back for a recheck and Oh just like the Irish Army.

Enjoyed the history and the walk. TFTC

Enjoyed the walk around town and spent way too much time visiting all waypoints a second time to get the same numbers that pointed me in the same dam on private property. Don't know when I will be out this way again.

A happy outcome after all. With some help from buggerme we were able to complete this clever multi before continuing south. Mr scared a snake which slid off but Mrs had to complete the find while he recovered in the vehicle! We (well, Mrs) retreived the geocoin and left personal pressies for buggerme or the next finder(s) to move or keep, their choice. Once again, very many thanks for a worthwhile multi, we want to return to Mudgee!

Thanks for the tour! TFTC!

Disappointing finish to a challenging tour around this lovely town. We haven't visited here previously but now we want to return. We did all 6 waypoints and thought we were OK but the GZ we calculated is on private proerty. Unfortunately, as we are meandering home at the end of the Great Victorian Grey Nomads winter migration north, we can't stay to do doublechecking. Next time! Meantime, thanks for the tour and hunts, buggerme.

Welfare check and dropped off trackable to make this one a little more enticing.
All in good order.

It was nice to visit all waymarks for this cache, a couple of them had me scratching my head [?] but with the help of the other half we came up trumps Cool, it just makes it more interesting Wink. Thanks for the history tour of the town [^]. TFTC / TFTH / SL

Cycled around town to complete this one and then drove to get WP6 and the final GZ. Really enjoyed the ride and hunt. Thanks buggerme, a good outing.

Had a lovely tour and found it! Cleverly put together, thanks Buggerme. Great way to spend part of Sunday afternoon. Took stone, left a button.

Lucky I had the Oregon with all the cache pages loaded on me as this is the one I decided to do after fueling the bike and body.
Had a nice tour around town collecting the info required and spent quite a bit of time at the 2 cemetery sites that I didn't know about and am sure most people would drive past without realizing they were even there.
Crunched the numbers after getting the final piece of the puzzle to the sounds of kids splashing and having fun at the local pool and was on my way to the GZ I had come up with shortly after. On arrival it looked like a good spot for a cache and was soon signing the log book.
Thanks for an interesting multi around your town.

This was a nice excuse to wander all over town. I enjoyed the visits to local spots and collected the clues some weeks ago but had to wait until today to put it all together and enter the GZ into my phone GPS. I was very happy to cross this one off as I leave Mudgee for Queensland this week and won't be back until October. A shame I couldn't get my GPS to play nice for the one at Gulgong too.
Thanks - I enjoyed it

A nice easy multi, that took us little time to complete. Thanks for the history lessons.

Collected 4/6 WP Data today. Unfortunately didn't have enough time to finish. Was happy to see this quality multi in my home town... TFT search. Will be back! Smile

We had picked up a couple of waypoints on the way out of town this morning and on the return collected the rest. I believe we traveled more then a mile or three here. But sitting at home I now know where the Mudgee Mile this cache refers to is located. A great multi that will let you in on alot of secret spots around town. Thanks for showing us a few of these places.

Wow - I can't beleive that I'm logging a FTF for this cache after its been active for nearly 2 months.
We had great fun toodling all over town on our rental bicycles in the rain collecting the clues for this cache (with some cheese and wine tasting in between). Mudgee is a great place to cycle about - its nice & flat with little traffic.
However, when we arrived at the final location, I thought I'd made an error with the calculation as the area was somewhat lacklustre compared to all the previous waypoints - but there she was, coords were spot on.
Took balloon head and the FTF scratchies prize (no winnings though!)
Left kids sunnies and geocoin
