Logs
The idea was for the series cute while it lasted, but to avoid any dangerous driving incidents by people trying the series in reverse order, this series has been archived.
The cache has now been removed, but I will leave the listing "live" to allow a cacher that wrote in the logbook recently the opportunity to log their visit on GC.com.
I have decided that the placement of these guard-rail caches along this narrow, curvy road is too dangerous.
Despite of my clear warnings on the cache page, I am concerned by logs from cachers that still attempt them from the "wrong" direction (i.e. travelling from Apollo Bay towards Torquay), which entails cutting across traffic, sometimes on blind corners. While I cannot control how people choose to drive, I do not want to be responsible for a fatality as the roads get busy over Summer.
Collection and Archiving of this cache is planned within the next month.

Prior to discovering Geocaching I only ever pulled over on the G.O.R. if someone was going to throw up!
Thanks for all the nice caches on the GOR. We were really lucky that they hadn't been archived at the time we were there. We were also nearly alone on the road and driving in the right direction so had no problem finding and logging them safely.
Thank you, Clauphi from Germany

Our 2nd of the series and we're into a rythm. Mrs j finds and signs and mr j takes photos. Thanks for the series. NINO TFTC
Another fantastic LGC! I really enjoyed how these caches made certain we stopped and observed the coast as we travelled along. It changed subtly, but the views were always great.
Thank you for the cache!
Thank you for the cache!
Found @ 1505 pm Still more outstanding views great to be able to do a cache very close to car. TNLN TFTC SL
Rocky Glen Grommets were visiting Victoria (Aussie MotoGP at Phillip Island) and were on their way home when they decided to do some caching - this was number 1 for today before heading along the Great Ocean Road
Quick find after a long hunt revaled my GPS had the wrong co ordinates, out by 350 metres, not sure why that happened but it made all the difference. Another great view along this amazing road. TFTC
First Australian cache (after visiting the country for the sixth time now). Easy find at a lovely road. More to come.
A nice and easy find in the dark, with very few muggles passing. TFTH...SL....TNLN
Another easy find on our way to Apollo Bay. We are playing leapfrog with other motorists along the way. A great spot to watch the waves at high tide. SL TFTC
Drove to Bells Beach for a look and a possible cache or 2 then was able to complete the LGC series. Thanks for the great series Mr Emu.
2010-07-03 16:09 Found on our way to Apollo Bay along with all except #12 which is currently disabled. Thanks Mr Emu.
What's with the tourists along here! Anyone would think there was a reason other than caching to stop! TNLN, TFTC.

Did the tour the wrong way around when heading towards Sydney. Great views but really adventurous cutting across the lane in order to get into the bays - thanks, we loved it.
Took the geomunchkins geocaching while the geo wife worked in Lorne for the day
I did this series (Except the disabled #12) in reverse order today on the way back from the Earthcaches near Port Cambell.
I had a ball with this series and by no way are any of these 'Lame'.
The scenery is fantastic. The cache locations are superb and the containers are well loved and maintained.
All in all a great series of caches on a 'Great' stretch of road.
Well done.

Found @ about 16:25. #73 for us and the 3rd on our spontaneous Ocean Road caching expedition with honourary cacher Vossy. Again, we timed it between muggle waves. A nice quick find, log, happy-snap and return operation. TNLNSL and thanks for this great series !
On a weekend trip down the Great Ocean road I really liked the cache series. TFTC from California
Cheers for another great view at a LGC Mr Emu Cache! Zalgariath of Sydney

Found by PR&F with The Empire on 7/4/10 @ 1.15pm.
#7 of 17 finds for PR today on our mission of the Great Ocean Road.
Another great spot to stop and stretch the legs, especially if a cache is involved!
The Empire signed the log while I read the quote and we continued our way down this beautiful road.

LGC #7 Found with Schatzuche and The Hunta on our way home from the Mega Event in Wagga, just a slight detour back to Adelaide but well worth the trip, great scenes and even better caches Thanks Mr Emu for all the work you have put in along this beautiful peace of coast line and this brilliant series, the detour was worth this alone. Given the effort you have put in we decided to add a little of our own. Please enjoy the photos we took using your cameras along the way.

Found by Mary & David at 1540. Hard to see where the sea ends and the clouds begin. Hope this rain reaches our parched suburban garden. Collected 'Eddie's Garmin Visit UK - Big Ben Geocoin'. Once again our thanks to Mr Emu.
After my adventures rescuing the fair Lady Oak it was back to grabbing the caches along the GOA at some terrific locations. Being a Friday I had a few road workers and less muggles so that made my day a little easier. Discovered a coin in this guy but took note of it's #. Signed the log and off to the next knowing what I would have to find even before I arrived. Thanks again Mr Emu.
Find # 3157 and 24th of the day at 2:44 pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on our Great Ocean Road Trip. Another easy drive-by, TNLN, left my mark in the log, Thanx Mr Emu....
Oenze and I have come down this way before for some toughish caches in the past but we have never had it this easy.
Nice series and the cars are starting to thin out a bit now.

The 9th of 16 finds on this Valentine's Day drive with Mrs 1SR. Found at 1032. What a great idea for a series along this road. A quick find. drop coin took nil.

This was our 6th in the series today and through more good luck than good management we managed to pull up almost next to the cache in a deserted car park making for a very easy find. We are now starting to think that the Geelong cachers must have all been away today as again we found a blank first page. Before heading off we took the time to read yet another interesting plaque about the building of this great road
Thanks once more Mr Emu
