Finally catching up on my logs! Out for my daily cache, I had very strong instincts here, which I ignored lol instead I trusted my GPS, for a little bit. After a short but unsuccessful hunt, I went back to where my gut said it would be and voila! I had CIH. Thank you for the cache!

22-Aug-20
Wasn't in the area so much to cache, but patwazhear wanted a quick 15 min break from driving so no better place than to stop at a park with a geocache Wink

It was early afternoon but already quite cold. Luckily no muggles which made searching easy. Initially passed over where the cache was, but upon returning some minutes later after reading the logs, made a well hidden find.

Thanks for the cache!

Well this one threw us for awhile. We had the right object at GZ but were focusing on a red herring on the wrong side of said object. Kept going back and searching in between GeoKids playing on the equipment. After looking at the logs we went back and made the easy find - bit of a facepalm moment lol.

22-Feb-20
We continued our trip out to Oakdale and were hoping to catch sight of the storm flood damage at Back Creek but the road was closed too far back. After stopping at The Dome for an obscure soft drink and getting lamington flavoured chips instead (buy them for the interest not the enjoyment), we headed out to this cache. I couldn't remember where the cache was but thought the others were looking in the right direction. While they were searching I took in the marvel of the square rotunda.

I thought this one would be a quick find, but proved to be elusive until rassilon256 pointed us in the right direction. Cache found Smile

08-Dec-19
Headed out this way this afternoon hoping to get a few caches west of here before the fires impacted on the area but we were too late. We ended up getting a few around Oakdale before heading home. Eventually uncovered this one

Took a while, slightly covered in natural camo

03-May-18
Out today for a day’s caching with marj01, no bush bashing, just park and grab. After heading off pre-dawn from the eastern suburbs we visited the towns of Wallacia, Warragamba, Narellan, The Oaks and Nattai. Lots of caches were found; on the ground, dangling in trees, on signs, in stumps and even one in a haunted house. Whilst most of the caches were familiar we did strike some very ingenious ones. A large percentage of the finds were quick, however, there were some that had us scratching our heads for a while. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day out and I would like to thank all the CO's of the caches for hiding and maintaining the caches that we visited. And yes, I did read the reason/history for each cache in the lead up to the trip.

**Cache Condition:** Cache good.

**Trackables:**

**The Cache**
Found this cache easily enough. No muggles around so that made the search easier. My babies were happy to have a play in the playground. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole.

**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. We have hardly been out over summer as it was just too hot and other things took over our days also. So this was the first day, apart from the OZ GeoMuster, that we have had a full day caching and I decided to begin by cleaning up strays. I had not completed the Burragorang Road series so that was the target and then to swoop on the surrounding area - accomplished. I am very pleased with our amazing results today, and all were found. We got home in the dark after a fantastic day out. The weather was fantastic and tonight the weather was balmy albeit for the wind.

Out and about with Happy Uke again today trying to grab some nogood caches hiding in and around Oakdale. And we were not disapointed!

We have not been up this way for more years than I care to remember.

Thanks

Since the wind had finally died down and the glorious sun was shining, a caching raid of The Oaks area was organised. Great caches and fantastic company. Finalf29 and I ended up finding twenty in the afternoon.

This was our sixteenth for the arvo. Had to scrabble in leaf litter as hidden so well. Thanks

#3989 (10 of 15 today)

The Geowife is amusing herself today, so I decided to binge on caches. Decided to head towards Oakville and The Oaks to try to grab a swathe of caches. Got 15, but interestingly the closer I got to The Oaks the more the the DNFs piled up.
Closing in on 4000 finds. Time to pick a target, but not today...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
The park was empty when I arrived - thankfully - and so I was free to search.
Saw I was being pushed past the bench, and my eyes went to a spot, but instead of checking it I followed the iPhone. Checked a number of places but nothing. So decided to try that spot I'd noticed and just caught a glimpse of the cache.

Completed signing duties and replaced. Now for a walk.

15-Dec-16
Area muggle free due to the rain however a popular pickup spot when the school bus is due. Waiting “mom” blocking driveway was also too distracted on her mobile to probably wonder why I was crossing the park with an umbrella but had moved on by the time I got back to my car. Realised once at GZ, I could have parked closer and not been seen ducking in to the spot on co-ords. Clue is accurate but needed to re-read a recent log to persist with the find. Left TB.

I was here this time last year (I think) and searched all around the obvious object that the GPS was pointing at. Today I searched around the very same object, but not for quite as long. it was nicely tucked away, but the cover colours peeked out from beneath the leaf litter. TFTC

On a Bents Basin camp ...

A kiddies' playground would not normally be a place the 'mushroom would stop but this one was deserted. A roadside park and then for a noisy, thick leaf litter crunching seek. Cache found in excellent condition with a truckload of camo to unearth. Thanks for the cache, jkcourtz Smile

I saw the spot where I'd hide a cache and dismissed it with a brief search. Then I headed for where my phone said the coordinates were. Having quickly established that my phone is an idiot, I returned to the original spot and found the cache.

05 September 2016 06:21:35 OK I hate cut and paste logs so will try my best to add a little something different to each log I post. Code 1 and myself were out on our annual caching run weekend. So some of our logs read both names but to save room on micros and nano’s etc we used CJ1.
Like most of our past trips a little homework was needed to work out a suitable location, route and to build lists and PQs, with this done and set we found our self’s in the Camden location. A great range of finds and styles were located with a great deal of questioning over some of the posted difficulties and terrains. Well this one was a long time coming. as way back in 2010 I posted a DNF - Did Not Find
Logged on: 07/25/2010 on this cache. As we pulled into the park I remember the location, except for today there was a local sitting on the seats reading the paper. What is even worse is that I was able to walk straight up to this one and put my hand straight on it. So some you loose and some you win. Thanks for the chance to return and make this one a smiley. Six years in the making.
JABs.

For us overgrown kids, this park was a great distraction! Because this big kid was about to have a tantrum (not a good day for ST, I guess). My competitive streak was out today and I love my GPS so not finding the geocache immediately is definitely a bug bear. Definitive A-HA moment as Falling_Rock slipped and slid down the slide, a huge grin on her face. TFTC!

04-Sep-16
This park has an awesome slide that even a BumbleFoot can still slide down! Kinda got distracted except for the uhuh! moment from StumbleTrip. Thanks for the cache and the chance to revisit childhood slippery slides.

What a great park!! Geokids happily played whilst we zoomed in on GZ, had a scout around & voila found the interesting camo print cache. Had suspected we'd be here for an age based on some previous logs, but success was had quickly. No swag, so left our calling cards to occupy the cache. All in good dry condition. At the moment I'm on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. Most of the first two years I'll spend in Australia and I'm trying to solve my 365 days of caching challenge during this trip. The chance of having a moving home zone should be taken, as it will make the challenge so much easier.

This one was a quick and easy find.

Left Canberra at 0630 and at -5 Degrees ! Drove to Colo Vale where we started our caching. Parked near GZ and walked in - and it was a quick find. Signed, returned, and we were off to the next one.

Thanks again jkcourtz !!

Lovely little park, and thankfully a cache nowhere near the play equipment.

Grabbed this one on a run through the area with Soldelune and Fitzy, escaping the Canberra winter.

Thanks for another jkcourtz.
