Checked on this one today, all good. The trees have grown up a bit since I was last here! Better view of the mountains just up the road.
An easy park & grab with a nice view. The container had a bit of water in it, which we emptied out. The log however was nice & dry. TFTC.
Took a bit of a detour to pick up this cache. Its a great view. Thanks for the cache.

Ideal weather for touring W Southland and finding caches. Clear sky and snow on the tops great view. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. No views today, pretty overcast.
Ms_KR and I are on the road to Southland to finish off the Southern PW GeoTour. Today we had some mixed eather. A bit damp in the morning and afternoon, and dry for the rest of the time. Lucky us. Off to Invercargill today.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I was really pleased to be able to stop here today and admire the mountains that I used to include in my mihi. TFTC # 16,762

Quick stop and look while doing the GeoTour. Hazy in the distance but a lovely day.
I had parked my caravan up in Lumsden and decided to go for the furtherest PWGT cache away and also sign off any others in the area.
This was one of the others. Today was nice and clear so had a good view of the mountains.
Cheers for the cache.

A bit cloudy to see the mountains today but I did see a cache. Not sure which is more important at this well marked spot. TFTC. Actually was starting to drizzle.
Think this has gone awol. There is an impression the size and shape of the container we expected but can't find it in the area.
Well that was a bit of a leap of faith into long grass which hid a slope so holding onto door I managed to get down without too much trouble. Just jiggered my shoulder though as i didn’t want to fall.
On my way back from market at ohai so thought to grab some en route. No mountain view today
A week away down south and a chance for some caching. Was a nice and easy find this with the hopes of lots more. TFTC
Picked up trackable on way to see my sister after running the Kepler yesterday always take a day off.
Woke up in beautiful Wanaka on day two of my long, long weekend. Looks like it will be another beautiful day, which is such a change from the Manawatu - so nice to have the chance to dry out and not come home from a day's caching with soaking wet shoes and socks. And its nice to come across nice dry logs all day too - and not a brace or power pole hide all day - another miracle! The plan for today is to head towards Winton, gathering caches on the way of course! There's a challenge cache near home that I want to achieve on this trip, so I'm hoping to collect a lot of caches on different minutes.
Heading through Cromwell to head back into Queenstown and down to Clifden, Tuatapere before heading back up to Winton for the evening. I don't think I've been through this way before, if I have, it would have been at least 25 years ago. This was a quick find here today. Very windy here. TFTC

A quick find by Alex (niece). We gave our 4 nieces and nephews a trackable for xmas last year, 3 of which finally started their journey today... including Alex's little lamb here. Also signed as GAA.
I haven't been to this corner of the world for about 10 years, great fun cruising around. Knocking off a few caches on the way to Invercargill before the dark kicks in. Apart from the abandoned car besides the cache it was an easy find. TFTC
I almost dnf and was about to bag the rubbish I found near the hint. But cache was tucked inside the thing. Took some wresting before we could 'grab' the cache and SL. Returned to 'thing' and popped back cache more true to the hint. Night time grab and no views to see but I've seen the mountain before and the view won't be going away. tftc
A smilie for a dot day.
One of the closer ones to home so took a wee drive. The weather is better than this morning, and the mountaineer are at least visible, if not clear.
Thanks

Quick find. Part of Te Araroa Trail walks that range. Was an awesome (but wet) section.
Found easily. Also found ewe & lamb wandering up side road. Chased them back away from main rd & watched them get thru fence - think they've been thru there before!
First find in the snow! Funny how we were meant to have such a rough weather patch, and we had to drive all the way here to see snow! TFTC logbook nice and dry
Great day for geocaching, we had an awesome day did 27 all up, our best day ever. TFTC.
9 of 17 on a day caching trip. An easy find and nice views. TFTC

This cache was historically interested, given the Takitimu waka and contested land claims. TFTC
Found this cache on our way to Nightcaps, have always wanted to come here as I have hear the name of the place BUT always wonder where the place was. Now we know I am glad that I made the effort. Arrived at GZ and found the cache quickly without any issues and took the Thirsty Kiwi Travel Bug to move to a new home. Was a bit of a pity that the weather was not good as we couldnt get any photos of the mountains from GZ. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot, TFTC LNSL (2978)
Quick easy drive by find. Just had to watch for silage trucks using the road.
