Council have been repairing the area near the cache and the hiding spot has been removed.I'll archive this one and keep an eye on progress. Who knows, maybe there'll be a new cache in the area soon.??Thank you to the 338 people that have found the cache over the last 14 years.
The area was fenced off but after hours I made my way in comfortably. The cache tin is looking a little worse for wear but log is bone dry.Cheers
DNF last time we were here, had to have another go again today. So different to when we were here last. The water is drained and all the plants and ducks/birds are gone. It was fenced off but no one cutting trees today so we went through. A quick find as it went after looking in a few places we looked in last time. Thanks for this one here.
Although the area was fenced off, I made my way to GZ and eventually spotted the cache. All safe and dry.
Visiting echuca today to catch up with family and do some activities with the kids in the school holidays. I have looked for this cache too many times before finding it today. So many places yo hide it here and after finding it relised it should not have taken me so long. It was amazing to see the marks on the trees with the level of the flood. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache.
A day caching in Echuca with Bogonghazy.. Thanks WazzaAndWenches for placing the geocache
Quick find on an after lunch walk through the port area. The waterline from the floods was obvious on the trees here. Thanks wazzaandwenches for this hide
Quick grab on our way back to base, a bit of lateral thinking and Midaho and myself had it in hand tftc
Can confirm that the cache did survive the flood the contents is pretty much mush & container is very rusted and in need of a new log.
Will log a separate maintenance log.

Cache is still in play and has some added paper to log but it is getting a little rusty and original log is now mush, definitely has had some water In & around it recently and could use a little tlc.
Although I haven't had a chance to physically check this cache it should have survived the floods.
We're in the midst of some serious flooding in the Echuca area and there's a high chance this cache has gone for a swim downstream.
Once the floodwaters recede and the tracks dry out I'll check the cache and decide whether to enable it or archive it.

I think I worked out where the cache might be but couldn't easily access that spot without getting wet, and I was being surveyed by a few surveyors, so gave it a miss.
A day in Echuca and after family time at Twisted science the east went to the pool and I took the geohound for a walk around town to get some caches. Such a busy place but a few caches collected.
Last physical cache for today (all caches in the cemetery eluded me). Had three attempts for this one - first a long time ago and I must have been very close (or it was gone) and two today. People sitting on the platform meant I kept going earlier. All quiet now and took a bit of acrobatics to access where I suspected (and then found) the hide. No wet (but slightly muddy) boots today. Good to get this one sorted .

Cache is definitely there, needs a new logbook though...
Found the different coloured lid the previous searchers found.
Great spot...

Thanks

We were in Echuca for a family birthday and had some spare time so why not head out for some caching.
This was our third for the day, saw the eclipse lid but then a cry of found it straight after I changed directions so back I went and sure enough there it was, a fun hunt for a trickyish hide. Thanks guys

Found with a background chorus of birds as the sun was going down. Log is a bit damp and probably needs replacing. TFTC
Down for a weekend getaway, and found this cache nearby. No muggles so make it easy to search. Got my sock all wet and came up with nothing. Lucky geo hubby was right onto it! Very tricky, but makes it all the more rewarding.
Ahhh, theres the little blighter hidden just where i thought it would be before i got distracted by other possibilities. Thanks for the hint Wazza, have a great day everyone.
A very tricky cache to find, had to come back a second time and eventually was able to find it. Great hide TFTC
That was a doozy- really did not want to get wet but sprinklers were going full pelt anyway. Suffice to say, with no muggles I could have a good think and look and perform the ‘required routine’ to retrieve the cache although not in elegant fashion. TFTC and the fun
Came here for a picnic dinner, checked the geo app and I was on a cache! Well, on my map anyway... Thought about this for a short while and found the perfect workaround, cache was in my hand and no wet feet. Logged and placed back in the same spot. Log is quite moldy but still able to write on because it was dry.
Beautiful spot here too, I enjoyed sitting here watching all the birds. Nice cool spot in summer.

TFTC, Algae did some good acrobatics to get this one, or maybe he is a monkey……log was a bit wet and mouldy.
We looked at this cache a couple of days ago but we were not suitably attired. We returned today and I managed to retrieve the cache without any mud or water damage to shoes or clothing. Great spot for a cache.
Fair bit of acrobatics to get this one. Log is a bit water damaged and I couldn’t get to my pen. Here’s a pic for proof! Thanks for the cache. Peace out ️
Tricky one!! Didn’t find but might come back another time as we didn’t spend too long today. Thanks for the lovely walk anyway
Enjoying a day out with dalerious getting caches with certain attributes for me to claim a challenge cache. Saw this one on our travels so had to give it a go. Took a bit of a search, but got there in the end. Thank you Wazza for another ripper hide. The guardian's are doing their job well by providing future caretaker's. See pic.
Found on a day trip with catnap777.
On a mission to fill holes in stat's for challenge caches, we found ourselves loitering around Echuca tidying up a few caches here as well.
This one was tricky and we had to use stealth and all the clues we could glean to get our names in this caches log book.
TFTC WazzaAndWenches.
Both the cache container and it's contents have seen better days but the log was still signable.

On our second day in Echuca and we thought we would check out the township. We parked near the Port of Echuca, and Mrs. Dromaniax proceeded to take some photos for an assignment. While she was doing this, Mr. Dromaniax walked the Geodogs and just happened to walk towards a few caches. By the time we were at this cache, Mrs. Dromaniax had caught up, and we looked around a little for this cache; before we worked out, we may be at the wrong level. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, WazzaAndWenches.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. We were searching for this one when another pair of cachers arrived. We continued to search together and the cache was eventually found on the ground nearby. After signing the log it was replaced where it appears it should have been. TFTC
A full days caching in Echuca saw us starting with the Virtual close by. As we were already in the carpark our next target was the Aquatic. We found something that looked damaged so we sent a message to the CO to say it was muggled...... however we got a prompt reply to say that wasn't the cache! Oops, back to the drawing board for us. So we walked back to GZ and began another search which revealed the container in a spot we hadn't checked.
Thanks WazzaAndWenches for the placement and your swift reply to our dilemma.

When and if lockdown ends for us in Melbourne look forward to having another go at this cache and getting a smiley Good to know some cache owners try to be helpful many thanks
Cache is still in its hidey hole.
A hint has been added for those that need it.

Had a quick look sadly couldn't locate it I didn't understand the hint very good, and I'm going out for lunch so didn't want to get wet and fall In, beautiful lake anyway
A wedding venue was being set up on the lawn. Spotted the cache from above. Scooted down the slope and managed not to get muddy. Nice quick find

Cleaning out as much of the area as possible. I came to Echuca during my childhood a few times. Was nice to be back and reminisce. Glad to grab the cache here
Not today, after about 15 minutes gave up it was too hot to continue. Great area though.

Tried again from other end, too many spider webs, and death by 1000 mozzies was not to my liking either.
Found with FUF009. Very tricky and not one to be trying for on a hot day. We came back for a 2nd look after the sun went lower. Tftc
Find # 9321
Found with sharkeifan.
Well seeing as the "Ring of Steel" around Melbourne was taken down last week. We made plans to catch up and to spend a day up in Echuca grabbing some caches.
We visited here earlier in the day but things were a little hot to hold onto and we didn't want to risk getting wet feet in our hunt for the cache, alas we came up empty handed. But after sharkiefan had a chat to CO, we got a good hint so when things were a little cooler and also by this time there were less people around we were back.
I risked getting wet feet and after some 3 point safety "clinging on" I made the find and handed it to sharkiefan to sign us in.

After many try’s to find this we found it today good hide, we stumbled upon the water being down and thought we had a look unfortunately because of doing this we didn’t have a pen, we will be sure to log it when we come back to it
On a day trip to Echuca we decided to make an attempt on this one, D made the find here and kept his feet dry

Found after previous logs. Water level low so feet stayed dry. Tftc nearby electric bbq works at street level but requires cleaning prior to use.
Find 3630 on 1 October 2020
Second try to find this one after no success 4 years ago.
Reading the logs gave me a clue and after patiently outwaiting muggles we soon had the cache in hand. All is well with the hide.

After reading some logs suggesting the terrain rating was a bit under rated, I knew where to base my search. With the muggle ducks and their many offspring watching me closely, i scooped up the container and left them be!
Day 1 of weekend roadtrip to Echuca following lockdown laws changing so able to do overnight camping. Can't believe it has been almost 12 months! Fortunate with amazing weather all weekend.
Some lovely great big redgums here. Some cut. I imagine a lot of indigenous history here if one looked. I kept the eye out for scar trees.
Wearing hiking boots means I did not need to get wet. Which helped as needed a bit of a search here. Thanks for the placement!

That was trickier than I thought it was going to be. A little bit of wet foot action. There were actually two containers there. Both had logbooks. Thanks for the cache.
The last five logs: A find with a cache replacement included, a DNF, two finds then a DNF from a cacher with only 17 finds to his or her name.
Then GC has the audacity to send me an email saying there's a problem and it needs maintenance.
If it was meant to be an easy find it would be rated as D=1 and have neon lights around it!

Braved the water to retrieve this one as Applebees +1 weren’t game enough to, ended up with cache in hand and got rewarded with a new pair of dry shoes. TFTC!
Got you on our second visit after some helpful advice from the CO, terrain is a bit more difficult than first thought, TFTC
