Found 3:20 pmDoing the south circuit this long weekend and the stop at little Waterloo Bay was Day #1. Came in from telegraph carpark and with luck was first at the campground so was able put dibs on the best of limited choices due to many sites still being water logged. With setup completed headed over to GZ. The bay here is very nice, great views. The search for the cache took a few minutes with it requiring one self to get into the right position and there it was. I'm surprised this cache is not found more often it a great spot. Favourite. TFTC Teamaky
What a great view! It was almost hard to focus on geocaching with this view in the background. I quickly found the location matching the description but I didn't see anything. Fortunately, emandel came to the rescue. TFTC!
Late log from a hike this weekend. Required a true team effort to find and extract this one -- but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache -- might have missed this awesome view otherwise, so adding a favourite!
Found this a while ago, but im just logging it now. Definitely one of the mocest beaches Ive ever been to, and great for a swim after a long days hike from roaring meg. My dinner definitely got a little sandy though. Tftc
What a great spot for a break between refuge and Oberon. Even better on the return from the cache when we found an actual trail back to the trail instead of bush bashing. Geotrail is just a bit in the campground side of the cache.
Packs were thrown off backs and we ran to the ocean to cool down after 10km worth of hiking. While my non caching friends made lunch I scrambled up some rocks to make the find. Think I increased the terrain rating for myself by doing it in bare feet! Granite - ouch! Thanks for the stunning location for this cache!
A beautiful spot to find a lovely cache.
PSA: highly recommend wearing shoes, those rocks are sharp! Thought I’d have a quick look after a walk on the beach without shoes, bad idea!!

Found 11/9/19. After spending a peaceful night at Refuge Cove, this was my first for the day. As I entered Waterloo Bay, I was passed by a muggle heading up hill. After he passed, I thought I better check my location and realised I had passed GZ, so back up the hill I went and quickly found what I was looking for. Thanjs
Stunning place for a cache! What a life - 5 days at the Prom after a 10 year hiatus with buddies instead of school kids! Always great. Fascinating recovery post 2011 fires. Amazing I’m even doing this since phone did not like my wee fall in the salty sea water at Sealers so going on memory and the efforts of buddies to pick up some info with poor reception! Found nevertheless TFTC
Definitely a favourite on this hunt. Of all the nooks and cranneys you can think of given boulders and small rocks are in abundance.
Almost gave up on this one before daylight was working on my side and quit on me but eventually found myself signing logbook as a 'FOUND'

Wilsons Prom Hike: Day 3 - Little Waterloo to Telegraph Saddle
I was staying at the camp-site with no GPS or phone so it should have been no surprise that I didn't find it.

On a weekend where the state was expecting apocalyptic, unprecedented, extreme rainfall... we hiked out to Little Waterloo. The weather really wasn't so bad - and in fact, made this cache all the more spectacular! Great location, TFTC!
On a wet weekend, with Clint&Abby, we arrived at Waterloo for the night. It didn't take to long before we found the cache, which was in good order, nicely tucked away. Signed and returned. thanks for the cache in a fantastic area of the world (even with the rain)

Find # 566
My god, this find nearly caused me to soil my hiking shorts. Having held on for around 4km, I really shoulda visited the nearby drop dunny first... but I didn't.
Thankfully the GPS was spot on, log signed in record time and the dash to the drop dunny began.
2nd favorite cache of the weekend. What a beautiful location. Great spot for lunch and a rest (and a frustrating search for the other cache nearby).
Visited some TBs too! TFTC

**To The Rainbow**
TRIUMPHANT arch! that fill'st the sky
When storms prepare to part,
I ask not proud philosophy
To teach me what thou art:-
Still seem, as to my childhood's sight,
A midway station given,
For happy spirits to alight
Betwixt the earth and heaven.
Can all that optics teach unfold
Thy form to please me so,
As when I dreamt of gems and gold
Hid in thy radiant bow?
When science from creation's face
Enchantment's veil withdraws,
What lovely visions yield their place
To cold material laws!
And yet, fair bow! no fabling dreams,
But words of the Most High,
Have told why first thy robe of beams
Was woven in the sky.

I had walked past this location last weekend with Pacgirl but skipped this cache as we were "hiking, not caching".
This time round, back at the Prom with Jacko and Timmo for a little 48km hike, no stone would be left unturned and no cache unfound ! After camping nearby it was an early start. DNFd this one last night in the dark, but success this morning.
Thanks, mate - it was a great spot to take in the sunrise.

I had the blessing given for a long weekend away and chose from my 'need more than a daytrip' list. The Prom had long been on the cards so here it was. Forward to today, myself Timmo98 and Pacman trudging around on these amazing beaches.
Arriving here on dusk after starting at 1ish, I was fairly cooked when we reached here and after a quick search gave up. Sore all over and with a throbbing ankle, we decided to setup camp and get dinner on the boil. Early the next morning whilst young Timmo was still in the cot I got up and looked in Pacmans tent - empty! Walked up to the boulder, started looking around. Wander where Pacman is... A few seconds later I hear the sound of plastic on rock, look over and see Joe at the other side - fancy seeing you here.
A nice container and a really awesome place for a cache. Ticks all the boxes for me so a favorite point it is.
Find number 4,500 for me, and what a ripper.

Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Beat sunset to it, beat sunset to. TNLNSL TFTC
This one is a great little cache.
We headed over here from Waterloo Bay via the camp, and found the path to be quite straight forward.
Arrived on the beach, and I can attest that it is slightly prettier than Waterloo Bay.
Did a bit of climbing, judging and looking at previous photos before routing around and finding the cache with Raja. Took some photos of Waterloo Bay before the crazier ones in the party decided to go for a bit of a dip in the freezing water.
Would have liked to stay for longer, but we had a tight schedule to follow in order to get back alive.
Thanks for the cache - Worthy of a favourite point for the view alone, will allocate when I have one!

On a 4 day hike in the prom. This was cache number 4 along the track from the Saddle car park via Sealers Cove and Refuge Cove. Found using the hint and good co-ords, The cache was a little exposed but otherwise all is good. Replaced as found. Great views from this vantage point. Camped at Waterloo camp ground the night. I spotted a large Tiger snake that had decided to help it's self to one of the camp sites and was not worried by people at all. Although word got out and the camp site was left to the snake. It was happy to lay under the wooden table or the wooden logs that are used to sit on. So it always pays to be on alert for wriggly sticks. TFTC.

My deepest and sincerest apologies for the absolutely woeful logging time for this cache. I currently have a backlog of 460 found it logs from the last three years. Yikes! Obviously, many of these will be difficult to remember and with such a big backlog I simply have to do a default log (other than a few special favourites along the way). I am writing this on the 18th of May 2019, when this log is for 29/11/2016 Thanks to all of the owners and sorry for the pitiful log!
Incredible spot and just an incredible hike in the area. Highlight of the year for me.

Wow. What an amazing hike. The hike was wearing but the prom is so forgiving. After having hiked from the car park to Refuge Cove via Sealers Cove to camp the night. The next morning I headed out to return to the car-park via Little Waterloo and Telegraph Trek. When I arrived a Little Waterloo Bay I had some lunch before heading out to find the cache. The view was amazing. After making a very quick find and signing the log, I walked a little bit more up to the highest point I could reach. The hike was well worth it. Thanks for place the cache here Teamaky. You do some great caches. TFTC.
A larger long to follow when I get a better internet connection.

Out on a 5 day hiking adventure with geo son in this beautiful national park and whats better we get to grab a couple of caches along the way.
After a short but reasonable strenuous hike from Refuge cove this was a very welcome oasis, we loved this spot. We have traveled around Australia seeing many beautiful spots and this place is definitely up there with the best .

Wow what a beautiful place. After taking 100 pictures we start searching. After a while we found the cache. With that good feeling we start our third hiking day. TFTC
Is there a better way to start a hiking day than with finding a cache in such an amazing place? That's what we thought. So before making our way towards Sealer's cove, we (that is, blumen-wiese, Mojo1001 and myself) performed some little climbing exercise and retrieved the cache. TFTC!
This was my tenth of twelve finds at The Prom.
Visiting for a hiking trip around the eastern loop 20 years after I first completed this hike. I came with my sister and she got a short introduction to caching
After spending our first night at Tidal River we were up early the next morning and headed to refuge via Sealers Cove. Much has changed, most dramatically since the 2011 floods. This is where we viewed what was previously my favorite spot on the hike, Ferny Glade, which is now a shadow of its former glory but is in the process of recovering. Camping overnight at Refuge was peaceful as always but we were greeted in the morning with the sounds of rain on our tents! Fortunately it was short lived and we started out with a brisk walk to Kersop's Peak to wake up before Waterloo Bay and the ever painful hike up Oberon to complete the two days. Thanks to all the CO's at the Prom. I know there are many more to collect but I have left them for future trips!!!

Bit of a climb from the beach, managed to avoid dropping the rock on myself. Found after an early start from Refuge Cove this morning. Tftc.
Woke up this morning to empty blue sky and the most beautiful sunrise. Great day for a walk and some caching. GPS was spot on for this one which made for a quick easy find. Sitting here in the sun watching the clear blue waves crash onto the Lilly White beach, you almost don't want to leave the very special place. I'll definitely be back here one day soon. TNLNSL. TFTC. Well, the long weekend was finally here and I had decided on another trip to Wilsons Prom. This time, an overnight hike on the east side. The weather was initially not looking that promising, so I packed the winter woollies and off I went.
Upon approach to this one, there was seemingly a gathering at GZ. It was Cycling Guy, his muggle mate Ray and some scouts. What an absolutely fantastic spot. Cache was in A1 condition. Had a great night chatting over dinner. A second favourite point for you Team❂aky in one day!!.
Thanks to Team☮aky for placing this cache. TNLN

On a 3 day hike with a mate - Telegraph Saddle / Sealers Cove / Little Waterloo / Telegraph Saddle.
Got to Little Waterloo Bay on a sunny afternoon. Met up with some scouts from 1st Dromana Sea Scouts, who joined us for the search. With a bit of rock hopping, I spotted it. One of the scouts kindly extracted the cache from its hide.
At that point, another cacher turned up, it was a real party. His name was Adrian but his cacher name escapes me. He joined us that night at our camp, it was great to meet.
The cache is in good order and dry.
Thanks for the cache Team Oaky. A favourite point from me

Times almost up for this one, 4 years and not one favourite. Might be time for someone else to have a go
Found with Chisholm Outdoor Leadership Students on a four day walk of the southern Prom. An easy day today, some nav and games on the beach, we decide to camp on the beach, how cool, what an office! TFTC Oaky, Cheers, BWBandit
2014-03-01 12:36 Found with Jazwoz, Lukasberk and Sketch. We had to hunt around a little for this one but after a little persistence we came up with the find. Next time we are here we will definitely have to camp at Little Waterloo. We hung around here for a while to load up on water and have lunch. Many thanks to Team☮aky for another great cache.
Now that's what I call a walk. I left home early, drove the 2 and a half hours down to Wilsons Prom. Parking at the carpark I walked to Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove, Kersops Peak, Waterloo Bay then across to Halfway Hut before returning back up to the carpark. Just over 40 very hilly kms, done in just on 9 hours! Returning to the car I removed my hiking boots and drove the 2 and a half hours back again. I can't believe I still have the energy to write these logs tonight!!!
Now past my halfway point and with what I remember the worst of the tracks behind me I arrived here to find another lot of muggles playing near GZ. There had been a number of issues with muggles today, but these ones disappeared quickly and I was able to rock scramble across to make a nice easy find in a location that I was able to spot from about 10m away. Thanks Team☮aky for the cache, another excellent hide!

Missed the sunrise, a sleep in sans very small children was too much to pass up! We had a great time clambering over the rocks though. Had some great light for some photograph as well. This is certainly one of our favourite places to come to. TFTC TeamOaky.
Sitting at home over the weekend looking at the weather forecast, i saw that the first few days of Spring would be amazing. Mid 20's, mild nights and no chance of rain or strong winds. So it was an easy decision to make. A 3 day hike down at the prom was in order.
The Hike is set to go from Telegraph Saddle to Little Waterloo Bay on the first day. 23kms via Sealers and Refuge. As i have not been back to see the track since the landslides. Day 2 is Waterloo to Roaring Meg, via the Lighthouse and Southern Most Point. Day 3 Roaring Meg to the Junction and then hike 5kms back along Waterloo Bay track for another cache. And then head out.
Well the first day went to plan. Second day i found a ranger at midday and changed my overnight camp 5 kms closer to the finish to Halfway Hut. Then as i still got there quite early i decided to keep on hiking. Headed out to the Boulder Saddle cache and walked all the way back to the car. A 3 day hike into 2 days with a very long second day. Amazing view and photos in the area and so many good cache locations to be found.
After the long day hiking i rocked up at this campsite to find it completely flooded. I was told at the visitors centre that there was some water around the area. I didn't expect the whole campsite to be covered shin deep. i went in and set up camp then had another wet walk back out to find the cache. I took my camera with me so on this balmy night watching the sun set and all the stars rise for the evening.
The cache is in great condition and still well hidden. Cheers TeamOaky for getting me out here.

Today was the second day of my first official Venturer Scout Hike. Being unknown I was travelling with some geocachers including Chronix38 and Jroysahn. after waking up early to find the cache. i found myself climbing the rocks on the side of little waterloo bay. after twenty minutes of searching i found the cache. Loved the cache and loved the hide. can't wait to go back to the prom.
Found on our way from Telegraph car park to Refuge Cove. Then we came back here to camp on January 30th after a day hike to Sealers Cove. We had lots of fun releasing the water from the creek and some campers very nearly got a wet tent! TFTC.
This spot is just amazing. Wilson Prom was one of the reasons for me, to come back to Australia, because i heard a lot about. But the scenery i saw, just blows my mind... or if the english speaking community don't understand my «swiss english»: Waterloo Bay ist einfach umwerfend schön! On my next Aussie trip i'll be back, not only for three days, and i will do the whole south walks and some up north. We guys had a really good time, and enjoyd the hikes, the views and the beaches and bay with there cristal clear water.

I brought "Ms. Love" (Seriously - one of my friends has that name) to find the unloved cache but the bloody Dutch beat me to it by two days
It was a great hike anyway and we enjoyed it. Better than dying a painful 39°C death in Melbourne on that day

I already took of my boots after hiking here from Roaring Meg when I decided to go and look for the cache.. Not the easiest one to get to on slippers, but I managed to find this well-hidden cache. Absolutely beautiful little bay, TFTC!
Came here as part of our giant caching walk made a lot longer because the paths to Sealer's and Telgraph Saddle are still closed so it is a pleasant 16km walk to get here, and 16km back again. We camped the night at Little Waterloo (only one other party in the campsite but many were walking in the next day). I hadn't been here for about 17 years but have visited many times before then. Cache does still look very loved and is in excellent condition. Maybe I should get the points because I found it, but I'm not really that fussed. If he gets the points he might stop going on so many hairbrained wild goose chases. And I can keep having adventures. TFTC, coming here brought back so many memories.
JosieY and I came past as part of our quest to find "unloved" caches. There are number that have been isolated by flood damage and track closures until recently. We had a holiday booked at the Prom anyway but to fit around the rest of our party we set off at midnight. The walk from Tidal River to Little Waterloo Bay with light packs took 3.5 hours and we slept (in) until 8.30am.
This cache was found as we headed off towards Refuge Cove. Although the sun had risen the views from the cache hiding spot were very good.
Thanks for taking the trouble to place a cache here Team Oaky.

Found with Satchmo. Great place for a cache except the weather was terrible for us on this occasion. TFTC.
Great spot... Bad day. Happy to find this well placed cache on a wet and grim day. Thank you for making the effort to put a cache in this safe and fun spot.

A weekend walk to find a few new caches on The Prom.
A perfect day for walking,
The photo was useful to find the cache as there are lots of possible hidey holes.
A great view looking south too.
Now onwards to Refuge Cove for lunch

Thanks
