A Maintenance Crew has removed the cache and handed it to a fellow cacher. I'll take this one offline until the situation is rectified.
Dingo and I replaced the cache container this afternoon. Container number four! Let's hope that this one lives a longer life
A quick and easy climb and a quick and easy find. Last time I was here I had to climb much higher and further and came up empty handed, so it was a pleasant relief to locate the cache. Timed it well, as no sooner than I descended than a coal train made its appearance. No muggles to confront me so my cover story wasn't needed today, and I was so looking forwards to testing it out too Thanks Hoojar, Chip and Ding for the cache and the chance to beat another DNF.

A little birdie has informed me that this area will be getting a refurbishment starting today. I'll mark this as offline for now and keep an eye on developments.
Ding and I went for a walk this morning and put a new container in place. It is now a micro and no longer a small. It is now (hopefully) in a position where it will no longer be vibrated off.
Happy hunting!
Happy hunting!
Dingo and I visited this one this afternoon and assessed a new cache container and possible hiding location. We have discovered a way that the cache should no longer be rattled off of the structure, and we will be putting it back in place tomorrow afternoon.
Sorry to anyone that may have waited so long for this one to come back online.

Sadly it looks like this one has rattled itself loose again! I'll have to affix it a little more strongly next time!
I had a feeling I knew what was required here, so with a workmate in tow we came here just after lunch today and sealed off the whole area with barrier tape, before setting to work erecting a ladder.
We both had on our high visibility vests and PPE close at hand, I climbed the ladder while my workmate footed the ladder.
I re-erected the ladder in at least 6 or 7 different positions, and checked as much as I could safely check, one place I checked from the safety of the ladder while a coal train passed over and the whole place shook for several minutes, I stayed rigidly fixed in position till the train passed and then continued the search. All up I reckon we spent 20 minutes to half hour searching.
Many of the places I looked I doubt could have been accessed without a ladder or other aid.
From below the whole operation looked quite normal for a couple of workers on a railway bridge!
I've not put in such a big effort before on such a cache and was quite disapointed to come away empty handed. Particularly as I was trying to impress a workmate with the agile hiding efforts of Hoojar and those that have found the cache already.
I doubt I'll be able to pull off such a feat again for a long long time Oh well not to worry, we had fun and no-one seemed any the wiser, Thanks for bringing us here Hoojar

Made like a monkey and climbed to the top, but was unable to spot anything remotely resembling a cache. Fun climb anyway.

Scaled the bridge all over the east side. No luck though. May have gone missing again, or I may be blind. Both are plausible
Toadmiester7 and Woody Figtree trying to look inconspicuous while I do the dirty work. I gave it a go but due to rain it was very slippery and I found it to be harder than we expected, so Toadmiester7 retrieved thanks Hoojar
After the experience of my previous attempts to find this when it was gone, I made quick work of this one today. Thanks Hoojar.
On our way home Ace7 and I thought we could attempt this one. Woodyfigtree had completed earlier in the day, so he stayed on the ground as our diversion. Ace7 was first to go, but due to slippery shoes and a little bit of rain, he found the going just a little to difficult, so I shimmied up and found the cache. What a great spot but I wouldn't like to be here when a coal train passed overhead. Thanks Hoojar for a great cache.
This cache has been teasing me being so close to home and tonight after the State of Origin I thought I'd stop by and give it a crack.
It was a little slippery after the rain and with my shoes so after climbing up it was a bit of an effort getting down. I'm glad I picked the right spot to climb and got straight to the cache.
Thanks Hoojar!

Finally had the time to go for this one. After the great struggle last time(all for nothing) this time it only took me 30 seconds to get to the cache, log it and get out of there again. I love caches with this kind of challenge!

Found this one with Krafty Charlie and Black & White.
I somehow managed to climb right past the container before looking down and spotting it.
It seemed a bit exposed during the day but really nobody gave us even a first glance.

Turned up to GZ along with Gribbly and Krafty Charlie. Thanks to Gribbly for retrieving the cache. Climbing isn’t one of our favourite things. Thanks Hoojar, Chip & Ding for the hunt.
Another team effort after the flash mob event today. With the Gribblets on board this seemed a great diversion for those driving by. Who would want to look at dumb blokes up a steel support when you could look at the 2 most gorgeous kids on this planet !!!!!!!! At least we did not have red on at this stage when you look at the paint job we would have really stood out.
Thanks again to the Hoojar team for another challenge for a not so able cacher

Well I am not quite sure how this one disappeared already! I suspect that workmen may have found it when replacing the bolt that our Central Tablelands compatriots found up there. It should not have been able to have been shaken loose by passing trains.
But at any rate there is a new container up there waiting to be found.
I have updated the cache description so that people should have no need to climb all over the bridge.
Goodluck!

I just happened to be sitting by the computer when I seen that this cache had become available. "Gotta go dear, new cache" and the nocturnal Rat was out the door.
This time the cache was easily found, not sure how it'd disappeared from that spot before but it was good to finally grab the FTF on this one.
Thanks Hoojar.

Hmm, looks like this one is gone be a brainbreaker! Went there today in daylight. Climbed up (yes all the way) to find out the hint is alas not correct. Checked everywhere and went down again. Got up for the second time on an other angle, agaain all the way, even traversed to the left and the right, till I was at the road side and thought I might atract a bit to much attention here. Climbed down again, sat down and thought about where i would put it and came up with nothing. Hopped on my bike and went for the 2 towers. Arriving there I searched for about an hour with no luck and thought I might return here and give it another try, so I did. Again climbed every inch possible without no luck. So I would say getting is no problem once you are able to find it!!??
By the way, I was down in seconds after this happened, So concentrated that it scared the hell out of me!!
This cache should not be anywhere near as difficult to find as it is proving.
I will drop by ASAP to confirm its continued existence.
Cheers

Thought I'd have a go at this one on my way home from SES. The timing was right as very few cars were on the road, but I should have checked my footwear before I tackled this one. I got to a point where I was slipping and sliding too much for my own safety and decided to pull the pin till I am adequately attired.
Loved the location with a bit of daring and don't care attitude up I went. Looked everywhere for a micro/nano but luck. Got back to the car and saw it was a small. Will go back for a better look. Thanks anyway. Got filthy hands in the process.
Add us to the DNF list. We climbed as far as we could in all directions and got very dirty in the process. There was one new gal bolt up the top so maybe workers have been there and found it.

Well we went up down up down up across down up across down up down. Now that we where dboth very dirty almost black and running out of options the only thing that stood out different was up the Southern corner nearest First Ave and Marley Pl corner was a new Gal bolt that stood out different to all those other longer painted bolts. But even this was to hard to undo and that I think was a bit small for a small cache.
Hey the good news is that on our next visit here so many people would of gone up and down that we will just need to follow the geotrail in the dust and will not get any on us.
TLC's.
