For a period of time I have threatened my wife with a walk to the Mount Arum gold mine. Surprisingly we had only shared one bottle of wine last night and so today was the perfect time to be up early before the heat kicked in.
It looked like we would be heading down a slippery slope but all the rain has compacted the leaf litter nicely and there weren’t any slips or slides on the horizon. We were able to make it down and back up without losing any skin that I have been looking after with Botox injections. tftc

Today with another day in COVID-19 lockdown, I decided to use my home distance limitation and opportunity for fitness to complete the infamous *X* by MTB. I got going early departing from Enoggera Reservoir, and made the ride accordingly. It was a long day out, but given a few mechanical issues, I needed to move and redeploy my vehicle, which perhaps facilitated my loop ride. The ride was extended by performing additional detours and extensions whilst passing by nearby geocaches, and so in the end, it was a long day to be on the saddle!
I took a ride along the road back towards my initial starting point, passing by this geocache. I had wanted to find more of the CO's today, but with a low phone battery, this was one of my only stops. After conducting a brief search, I soon found this cache, and it was another awesome construction by the CO. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. If help is required to maintain, then I'm happy to help in the future, or adopt if need be!

Á after a scramble down an embankment this one was found pretty quickly, got rid of the 8 legged resident signed log and returned cache. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
Heading out with Mr and Mrs SP today with one mission - to find as many Wingaap caches as we could. This was the fourth cache for the day. Wingaap, your caches have entertained and inspired geocachers for decades, and I sincerely hope I have not found your last cache. You're appreciated. I have run out of FPs today, but each and every cache certainly deserves one.
Sunday.
Out today with OBC, Mr and Mrs SP were hoping to grab some caches. We were targeting Wingaap caches and anything that looked good. This was one SP had found previously, but it was really good to re-visit this one as it is a fantastic cache and highly recommend anyone pay this cache a visit also.

Heading down was quite entertaining as half the group slid down more than walked. at one stage it was like dominos as one slipped and took out another. Once the laughing stopped we concentrated on the task at hand and made a easy find just down from where we were standing. The 2 geosons loved this one as they are into space at the moment. We signed the log and returned the cache back in position and climbed back up to the car. TFTC
Well I think I slid most of the way down, lucky I didn’t land on the rocket and blow up.
Thank you so much for your awesome caches and amazing art.

Neat little cache to start my day of finding these awesomely creative ones in the area! A steep descent but GPS was accurate and the find was easy. Thanks for the lesson about the RAAF! TFTC
Lots of thoughts as to the type of cache container that might be awaiting me here today but again I was way off the mark and pleasantly surprised by another unique creation. TFTC
TFTC. And so that ends an adventurous day of geocaching in my first week back in the game after a 4 year break. Today’s search took me 22.5km on foot up steep hills, through thick lantana, across two swollen creeks, wading a trail that had become a knee deep lagoon, along a 3km detour to circumnavigate a quick flowing torrent of water and down Mt Nebo Road back to my car at Walkabout Creek.
I’ve seen countless goannas, listened to birds, walked through too many sticky spider webs and admired many butterflies.
Today's cache list in order:
1. Wingaap drive
2. Christmas bells
3. Christmas memories LMP
4. Temptation
5. RRDD
6. On a dark night
7. Scrap
8. Bush shower
9. K8’sK9
10. The power of the bush
11. Charlie
12. The lost cacher
13. Its not my cache #3
14. Radnoski 35 (then the long detour via McDonalds Loop, 69 Track and Hollmans Road)
15. Tomorrow when the cache was hidden (DNF)
16. Gnight
17. Its still a cache
18. Kupidabin
19. Two Four Five
20. Louise’s 12 gauge
21. Cut and polish
22. Gunnie.
If you are looking for a fun but rugged day out, I recommend this trek.

Out to continue my trad a day and my cache a day challenges, which is now starting to become a difficult challenge due to fitting it in with my work and the lack of local caches. While I managed to get away from work early yesterday, today I have come back to finish of the ones in this area and a few more up the road.
There has been a bit of burn off in the area so not sure how this will affect the caches in the area. I got 4 to do in this spot with a little walk between each one. Parked in the middle of the group and started my walk. First was on a dark knight, what a cool cache, truly a huge amount of work has gone into this one, another favourite point from me . all good with the cache and log.
Next was scrap, all good with this one, was sure if the (pic included) was part of the cache, but there was a few others in the area as well.
My third one was the bush shower, this took a little searching to find as it was hidden from the angles at which I was looking. Once I expanded the search it was easily spotted. Cache was a little hard to open but I managed and got the shock of my life by the resident living inside, it’s huge and very hairy. Log was dry and all good.
The last one was gunnie and just a short walk from the road. What an interesting design at first look, then a very different cache inside. The cache and log was all dry and good.
Thank you for placing these in this area, I enjoyed the walk and the search.

What a great container!! Mayfly06 and I went trekking into the bush with Sour_Lemom not too far behind, and we were struggling with the gps bouncing. Finally I spotted something and we quickly grabbed it and signed it. TFTC thanks for the great cache!
Walked a bit past it with Erm_the_Worm. But eventually found it after waiting for the gps to settle. TFTC!
I wasn't sure what to find but knew it would be good and it was. This was lei and my last cache for today. Thanks for all the great caches out here.
Took us awhile to find this one. The tree cover was messing with our gps. Glad Snickersallan spotted something out of place.
TFTC wingaap. Gunnie was topless when we found it. But log was completely dry.

Out in the area with E_Smiley picking up a few highly recommended caches that have been on our to-do list for quite some time. A little scramble to find this one that has a perished top but still all good with the log book.

I had been craving a Geocaching adventure for quite a while and with the Cache Carnival still happening I thought finding creative caches in the area would be incredible and it would also get up my points.
We parked the car in a safe spot nearby and headed towards this cache. I certainly hadn’t prepared for some of the steep hill climbs and the bush bashing because I am prone to losing my footing (it was proven on multiple occasions haha!) but it was CERTAINLY worth it! This one was an easy find because it was a little exposed but I love the creativity. Thank you for placing this absolute beauty. A favourite point from me. TFTC!

That was a tough slog down and up but managed to not break an ankle. Thats a cool idea love it! All dry! X.
That was a bit of a mission and gpander and I seemed to lose our pen along the way but a very cool cache! Thanks for an awesome cache!
Bristracker and I were out caching today to try and and get caches which helped us toward challenges as well as get some caches for Bristracker to get some hidden creatures souvenirs. Bristracker was in need of caches with lots of favourite points, so we tackled this part of Brisbane. This hill is steep!!! No trouble finding the cache, and is very cool! Got very puffed getting back up the hill. TFTC
Out and about with KerriMG. Deciding we (I) was over the up and down fire track on the other side of the road we ventured along the road back to our car. And luckily we did as this meant we walked past here.
Nice quick find but the top of the cache construction is broken off (& no where to be seen).
Another great cache and our last for the day.

My caching day with nikid1 is nearing its end as school pick up time is drawing near. Time for one last cache on the way back to the car. A short stroll down hill & nic quickly spied the clever cache container. Sadly its top is broken but love how the cache is loaded! Log signed & all replaced as found.

Out this way on an FTF run with NyssaFlutterby today, and after completing that and heading back to the cars to say farewell, I looked once more at my map and decided I could surely stop at just one or two more caches here today...
So I pulled the car up quickly and made a mad dash across the road and down to GZ, where I made a quick find of another interesting wingaap cache. Looks like this one has been patched along a little, and the thinner plastic on the top has seen better days for sure, but still a great find.
Thanks for the cache wingaap.

A good start to a series of mountain goat access caches.
No problems spotting this - as always Wingaap - love the container!

Great cache Its so cool when you find one that is so different appreciate the effort!
We are newly arrived in Brisbane, and just beginning our new geocaching adventures here. On a recent trip to Toowomba, we were told of the wondrous caches of Wingaap. Today we had the joy of finding one. Lots of fun and chuckles of laughter from ManO'War and the geokids upon spotting this one. Thanks wingaap...we look forward to more!

This one was a bit hazardous actually! Not good with kids. The other side of the road would've been better...

Thursday. SP was out again today, heading (slightly) inland, with our goals to finish a Geoart series, pick up an Oldest and Finest, and a couple more targeted caches on the way back.
On the way home from Vee Tree and we spotted this cache in honour of Phil G, how could we not help but stop? Kerry made the trip down whilsyt Luke stayed at the top do perform a CITO on the other side of the road. Kerry found the cache on the ground and the dome part has a hole in it. Was unsure whether it was supposed to be attached to the surrounds, but for the time being she laid it up against the nearest tall structure.
This was the 4th of 4 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***wingaap***, for showing us this place.

Wasn't too bad getting to and from GZ. Clever hide - all good here, signed and returned for the next adventurer
Made my way carefully down the slope as I have a habit of tripping! TheHinds_xo was patiently waiting for me playing an IQ game which she of course nailed! Thanks for another creative cache, where all is well
Lucky enough to be in Brisbane with some time to kill. I decided some caching was in order. Gunnie69 suggested I do this drive so up I came.
Parked nearby and made my way down. Not good with a dodgy knee
Very fitting it was Gunnie who suggested this series.
I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.
wingaap - Kyzabra found your cache Gunnie . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Great container. Geo-dad walked right past it - put his foot about a metre away! TFTC.
Found with ptj91. Walked past it as I went down the hill, then saw it when I turned around. Very nice cache. TFTC
Wow. Caches come in all shapes and sizes. And Wingaap's will always amaze me. Tftc
What to do on a rainy long weekend? Go geocaching of course! So off we set for a scenic drive up Mt Nebo road and around Wivenhoe dam. This was our first stop and again Wingaap didn't disappoint in the design of the cache container. TFTC.
Having parked at the convenient spot we slid down to GZ. Mrs. Herbz was trailing Mr. Herbz who was forging ahead. Mrs. Herbz took her time, looking around as she followed and spied the nifty hide. Mr. Herbz defused the payload to reveal the warhead and the logbook was soon released and signed. An FP from us of course. TFTC wingaap.
The last of my foray along Wingaap way today. As with the others, downhill to find the cache then battle the heat on the slog to the car. Once again, another creative hide from Mr Aap. Tftc
A busy day on wingaap drive for us today . At this point of our journey my legs were quite angry with me and enjoyed the downhill part of the journey . Cache quickly found and logging duties fulfilled . And then the uphill part . There may have been a bit of complaint on the assent . TFTC and the great day out
Another one ticked off the list. This one was pretty straight forward. Easy stroll down the hill. Such a peaceful day. Don't want to go back to suburbia.
Well, better find another cache then. Bush shower...here i come.
All good with this cache. Small chip in the 'casing' but otherwise fine. Signed and returned.

A bit of slip slidin' and a couple of grabs at trees to stay upright and Gunnie's cache was soon discovered. Very apt [^] Log signed, we returned it to it's place and began the return journey. The up is never as much fun as the down! Tftc wingaap
Stortigirls and I were out to find some caches. As the youngest of the stortigirls was initially supposed to join us, I had decided that some wingaap caches would be fun to find. Unfortunately, she had a last minute change of heart and the adults were left to have fun on their own.
This would be our last cache of the morning. We made our way from the track on the otherside and across the road and scrambled down the hill to GZ. There, we quickly located the cache and signed the log.

After visiting the Dark Knight I turned the car around here to head back into town but not before taking the trip down the steep hill side. (It is great when work takes you to a new spot to find a Cache or two.) Once the GPS settled the Cache was quickly in hand. After that it was back to the car and off to dinner as by now it was getting dark.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Gps bouncing around a bit but eventually got to GZ. Obvious but very cool TNLNSL TALFTC (thanks a lot for the cache)
Jumped across the road to collect this one. Close by found 2 x mag wheels in good order.

An awesome sunny day for caching and Dawesy321, Genyo and I set off across town to the Enogerra reservoir and Mt Nebo areas.
My stepfather was a gunner with the British Army, an RSM, in fact. He got progressively deafer as he aged and we couldn't hear each other over the TV when he was watching a program.
Dawesy made quick work of this cache and was off and running across the road to the next. Genyo and I sauntered along, eating his dust.
TFTC Wingaap!

Genyo, Ms Maddy and I drove to a nearby location and then began the walk to GZ. Before long we found ourselves there and found the cache pretty quick. Great cache container. TFTC!
Next conquest for Wombles and I was Gunnie... being a huge fan of Mr Gunnie I was pretty sure what the theme was going to be here and was keen to mark it off my list The track down was probably not the best way but we still did it and made it to the cache... there he is... yep! Took some pics, signed the log and off we went for our next one.

Whint spotted this one, another clever container.
Today was a beautiful day to be out caching, not too hot and the wind had died down a bit by the time we were here.

Decided to do a bit of a drive from Brisbane out to a cache of mine near Wivenhoe dam which required a bit of maintenance.
We traveled today from Bris CBD --> Enoggera --> Mt Nebo --> Mt Glorious (where we had some amazing pumpkin scones and tea --> Wivenhoe Sail Club'
OMG its scary standing up the top of a 45 degree slop trying to find a way down. Especially when you realize you are standing on a land pondering that track down into oblivion.
Quickly spotted where others had taken the dive and quickly got off the road.
Found the cache quickly, signed the log and made tracks back up the hill. I think we partially startled a motorcyclist as we emerged out of the bush and onto the should of the road right net to him. hehehe.

We decided it be would be nice to do a run from The Gap, over Mt. Glorious, to Lake Wivenhoe today.
Every now & then you just have to escape suburbia.
Definitely an interesting cache container.
Enjoyed the short stroll to GZ.
