Despite the unpredictable weather the walk around this park was most enjoyable
Undoubtably without the help of previous logs by Paxan71 and BendSinister this would have been a DNF
Once the final info was sourced, calculations done and co-ords logged into the GPSr it was off to GZ for an easy find. The cache was found in good condition. Signed the log and returned as found before moving on
Many thanx to Dagobert1 for the cache and Paxan71 & BendSinister for the WP4 clue

A failed attempt at this one last night with mark9375 made me even more determined to find it today. Well I'm glad I chose to come back in daylight because it paid off with me locating the cache neatly tucked away in a familiar hiding place. TFTC
We quite possibly searched for somewhat of a hour looking for the cache, asked many people for help and coordinate checking, no luck area is pretty messy with glass and rubbish etc
Thanks anyway will be back another day

I had solved this one ages ago. With some help from info in the logs I was able to find the phone number and had the corrected coordinates sitting there. Even though i pass nearby almost every day I hadn't taken the opportunity to come and look for this one. After success on another long (out)standing multi tonight I headed on to this one. I was able to park nearby and after a short search the cache was in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache dagobert1.

Found it. Couldn't have done it without reading the last log. The phone number has changed. After a look on internet for another number (emergency) GZ was found and it was LOGGED by us. TFTC
Ok. I did a bit of search on the web and found alt. contact number which worked for me.
For those who'd be interested to pin it whilst GC is waiting for owner's updates.
At WP4:
Search Google for the authority name which is listed on the sign. Under"Contact Us" hyperlink find two contact numbers for Civic Centre , use 8-digit contact number (without + 61 3) to resolve WP5 from the owner's description. Check point for required number is sum of all eight digit = 53.
P.S.
BTW, I'd argue that owner's "shrubby" hint still works - I had to "log" the cache instead of "shrub" it

BendSinister is absolutely correct. I just resolved all WP's only to find out that I cannot do G - 8 (G=1) as well as I - 4 (I=0) due to an (allegedly) updated contact number.
Made a renewed effort to get these Parklands multis sorted. I've probably spent more time on this one than any other so far, because the clue gathering was fun, but the cache itself was maddeningly elusive. I'm now convinced that the sign at WP4 has been changed some time this year such that the telephone number listed is of the "1300 nnn nnn" type rather than vanilla "9nnn nnnn". As it is, I only solved this because I happened to spy an old number on an older-looking sign at a park in South Frankston! Seemed worth a punt and indeed the coords turned out to be spot on. Container is in excellent condition and quite well hidden. Thanks dagobert1! I'll remember this fondly, so have made it a favourite, on the understanding that WP4 instructions will likely be amended with time.
Tonight I had a very specific mission. I had lined up three unloved caches that, if all went to plan, would get me over the line for the Spread the Love challenge. After some close calls, I managed to find all three of the caches. Its quite surprising that these are actually unloved, but there we go. The drive was relatively simple, and it made me wonder why I don't visit these parts more often. This was the second of the three finds for tonight.
Upon the approach to GZ I was slightly skeptical about my chances of finding this one, as the area was looking rather barren, in contrast to the clue. After searching for 10mins, I was yet to find anything. I couldn't even use a PAF option, as the cache had only recently been replaced.
Persistence was going to be the key to this search. I employed the services of dad who was patiently waiting in the car. As is the way, though, within a few minutes of him being here to help, I had found the cache.
A nice multi here, only one cache to go until I qualify for the challenge..!
Thanks dagobert1 for what is evidently a well maintained cache.

Returned today after a CO note of relocation and turned my upside down . Glad to see that I had actually the correct numbers and once the new GZ was calculated i had to wait out one muggle looking suspicious nearby to move on before I could jump in and search. Thought they may be a fellow cacher but they didn't seem to have a phone/GPS just cigarettes so I guess I interrupted their activity . New cache and fresh log were located soon after with spot on coords. Thanks for the to and fro game and quick maintenance run dagobert1! Awarding a favorite half for the cache, but more so for the CO keeping an eye on their hides and taking pride in them.

Made it all the way through to GZ after a little back and forth. Most of the structure at GZ has been cut down and cleaned up so I did not find cache. Will add it to the watch list and see if any others have a better outcome. thanks anyway for helping me warm up on a cold day dagobert1!!

Find #442
I targetted this cache specifically because it had been 'unloved' for more than 6 months. Mid morning on a Sunday was good time to attempt it. Two dog walking muggles were present when I arrived but they soon departed. Waypoints 1 and 2 were simple enough, in fact I guessed the answer to the question at Wp2. At waypoint 3 I could debate with the CO about the number of 'spirals' but after adjusting my count to agree with the checksum, the provision of which was much appreciated. Waypoint 4 was simple enough and then on to GZ. It was a likely looking spot but nothing obvious jumped out at me at first. I continued to look and just as I was starting to despair at finding this cache, well lets just say that if it had teeth it would have bitten me.
This cache provided me with some good exercise for both body and mind on a Sunday morning. Thanks for bringing me here. SL TNLN TFTC

We found this cache today at 5:30pm as the 10th of 15 on a frustrating day at the cache by the bay. All worked well on this one too till the final find which took some locating. The co-ords were good, the hide was fine, it was just one of those sorts of places that if you aren't in the right spot it can be tricky. 22 caches to go on our hunt for 1,000 multis. Thanks from D, HA & A B-A.
The start of another brilliant TDC (The Demolition Crew) run which saw us travel from central Melbourne all the way down to Mornington, collecting over 30 finds for the night. Some great caches and great company. We were 4 up for a while being myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts, some hard-hitters there to be sure... But Q had to part company early in the night, to head to Brisbane in his new Prado for family matters. My first time caching with Rebel Acts, and what a fantastic bloke, and a fantastic night had by all. Really enjoyed how the team worked all together, it was a lot of fun.
TR had this one all sorted when we arrived at the cache, so it was just a matter of finding and signing the log. TFTC.

Another Monday night comes around and I have just arrived back from a great non-caching weekend near Benalla. Blacklegend is on his way down from Tocumwal and is ready to roll on a great route planned for The Demolition Crew. As Quasar3671 is moving north to Brisbane later tonight, the crew only have a few hours together for what was to be a great night's run down to Mornington.
With Quasar3671 having to leave at about 8 pm, the third spot for the night appeared out of the blue in the form of RebelActs who was looking to do some night caching on his own before he called me and asked to join in. Absolutely I say, and he is soon on the way to Seaford to catch us there. The run started in central Melbourne with the members of TDC who hadn't collected Magnum Opus signing the log (All the members of TDC have now complete the Danozz puzzle series!).
This cache was one of the caches I signed tonight. I must admit to not walking the long walk on this one, but working out GZ from online resources. The cache was soon located once the muggles with their dogs had passed.

Found today in the nice winter sun. The WP calculations caused no problems, the final hide took a little bit of a search - dodging doggy landmines at GZ didn't help matters :-\ - but I soon spotted the cache container and extracted it to log my visit. I rehid it carefully, adding a little more camouflage as (once spotted) it did stand out a bit. TFTC - another 6+ month since last find cache under my belt (only about 13.5 years worth to go for the Share the Love challenge cache.....)

Yep, a good quality multi - well put together with spot on coords. I just love multi's where the use of a compass is part of the hunt..... top stuff.
Don't know if you would call it a twist but I felt towards the end a small twist was thrown in..... maybe it's just me.
Thx again dagobert for a really cool and a well put together multi.

Today I decided on a mini cache run in the Patterson Lakes, Carrum Downs and Seaford areas. It was a very overcast day, but luckily no rain about.
I eventually found this one, but not in the way intended by the cache owner. all was going well until I tried to work out the co ords for WP4 which seemed to put me in a nearby housing estate. I headed in that direction wondering if it was correct and decided it wasnt. I stopped at one of the park entrances and grabbed what I thaught was the intended info and what do you know.... Bingo, after some searching for a one litre container, read previous logs and realised I should be looking for something smaller, I then had maybe a 150 - 200 ml round container in hand.
Maybe some adjustments should be done to the description and the maths for WP4 on this one.
Thanks to dagobert1 for the cache. TNLN.

This one has given me a fair bit of grief. After several failed attempts months ago, I returned today to redo all the stages. I was again scratching my head at WP4, and once again finding my own clue elsewhere to complete the sums for GZ.
Ended up at the same GZ as on the previous occasions, so had the girls play on the grass as I stumbled and grumbled looking for the cache.
Eventually found it, a little annoyed that the cache was nothing like a 1 litre container as described on the cache page, concealed in a spot where a 1 litre container would have been most visible. This had affected my search, but at least it's off the list now! TFTC

Gave this one another go this afternoon. Last time it was dark, so I thought a search without a torch was in order. Still no luck. Lots of rubbish everywhere. Will keep an eye on this one ...
I needed to find one cache close to home today to keep my daily cache find tally running, and this was one I had saved for a hopefully quick find ... not to be so!
I quickly gathered the clues and headed to GZ, only to be spotted in the dark by a local resident on her back porch out for a cigarette. I had to approach GZ from the other side until she went indoors.
Had a good poke around, and saw several likely places, but there was a lot of rubbish around, and it looked like the local kids had made a cubby there - about 40 of them!
I noted that the owner replaced this cache only a short time ago ... maybe it's there? Will watch this space.

Popped in the get the cache after doing the WP collections at an earlier date. Arrived at GZ and noticed a lot of the vegetation had been killed off either due to poisoning or it had just died. Bit of a mess at GZ with lots of rubbish about. Found what must have been what was left of the cache. Took a photo of the lid for confirmation that it was, if it wasn't the cache then i'll delete the log. No log book or cache contents seen so no log book to sign. If it is the lid then the cache will need replacing. Nice multi otherwise. Cheers.
I followed my GPS around the park, gathering the clues as I went, then headed to GZ. It took a couple of minutes to find it, but I did in the end. Great park for the locals. There were a log of dog walkers making use of it during my travels. Thanks for the cache.

25-12 4th find of the day at 11:51 and 1197th find in total.
Not as straight forward as we thought this one would be.
We were expecting a lap of the park but you had other ideas for us.
Worked through it and came up with the cache.

Nice easy stroll on a very pleasant day. Did the maths and projections, and found it fairly easily - it was visible. The contents were dry, and we replaced it with a little cover, so that it's not in view. Thanks for the the entertainment.
It was such a nice afternoon that Mrs Crackers decided that a walk in the park was a good idea before going home after work. After collecting all the required information she was soon at gz where the cache was fairly quickly found and the log book signed

Collected all my info - had a little taste of caching days to come when the mozzies descended - better pack the aeroguard in the caching bag! Thanks for another enjoyable cache.
Managed to do all the sums and projections in the car at WP1 as it started spitting on our arrival, then moved off to GZ and made the quick find. Left Duke nukem TB and SL, TFTC

Another dagobert cache to complete and on a good afternoon to do it. We were accosted at the second waypoint by a couple of blokes wanting to know what we were going in the area. As they did not look all that friendly we used the most technical bit of jargon that we could muster to explain about geocaching. You could see the glazed look slide over their faces as they wondered what we were on and after that they left us alone. We did however take another approach to GZ just to make sure we did not get followed. TFTC.
Enjoyed doing the projection's to get to gz, took the stroll with the swaggie's,
Thanks for the cache dagobert1

There was a couple of serious Rugby games on today! WP1 was good and easy enough but wp2 was very busy, however the info was very easy to get. Wp3 was tough with young muggles in residence, however no adults were there and I gathered the relevant info as surreptitiously as I could and beat a retreat. I wished I had sussed out wp4 earlier and in the end drove around to GZ where the cache was a quick find.
Found @ 12.55pm #176. This one was to give us a bit of exersize walking up and down and up and down.
We had pasted this parklands a few weeks earlier and there were muggles everywhere, good thing today there were none.
Avery good cache, had to search a bit at GZ, but ended up with cache in hand.

*FTF* Just about to go to sleep when this one popped up. Had a cold the last few days and been hopping for no new caches to come up. Today I started to think I would like to see a new cache so I can go on the hunt. At the start co-ords it was obvious what I was looking for. I have a friend with a working one of these. The other locations where a lot less interesting. Arriving at GZ the hunt took some time then the cache was found in a less than likely hiding spot. I would expect a lot of cache creep on this one. Took some time to find in the dark but I expect it to be easy in the day. TFTC
