Tftc. Looks like it has flown to close to sun. Still a dry piece paper inside acting as log. About the only thing dry inside.
Orange Crew I found your cache Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on 21/6/2023, 11:25 am. This is my find 5651 and find # 3 today. No problems locating this one. As previously stated contents of container melted during the bushfires. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
The area was burned out and it melted everything that was in the cache. Looks like there were some electronic components to this cache before. Perhaps all the favorites? Container is still looking cool, but now in plain sight.
More cache art. Amazing to see the bushfire affected contents but intact outer vessel. Thanks for the placement, maintenance and smiley.
This is a great example of what a little artistic imagination can turn a mundane item into. Really good replica for its name sake. This was a very interesting find which showed how robust this little hide was. There was very clear evidence that Chitty had endured a thermal event or two and the original log vessel was no longer fit for purpose but still fantastically captivating. Some kind soul has donated a temporary log vessel. Thanks to wingaap and anon
Neat cache, the melted Garmin and container inside was actually a cool touch. Thanks to the cacher that placed a new log.
A lovely walk around Bellbird Grove this morning with Kolour. After completing the AL, we visited other caches in the area.
Thanks wingaap for the cache, and Orange Crew for ongoing maintenance.
Thanks wingaap for the cache, and Orange Crew for ongoing maintenance.
On my way up the mountain I had some time to spare of a few wingaap gems.
This one is slightly damaged, added a waterproof log to the note left by the last finder
Find number 28153 for me.
Thank you Wingaap (adopted by Orange Crew) for hiding this geocache.

I had the morning free, so decided to find a few more of the old Wingaap caches in this area. Unfortunately the recent burn off has damaged the container and everything inside has melted. I’ve placed a piece of paper in a plastic bag to sign. Tftc
A nice diversion on the way down to Bluebell Grove and good to see a Wingaap - all good with the cache, lots of room for swaps and impressed with its inner workings, have a FP!
Clever construction on this cache. Our legs were starting to get tired after 14 bush/fire trail caches, but it was worth the effort for us in the drizzle that we had all day today to enjoy caches that are so well thought out and well constructed. Yet another FP for another Wingaap cache. TFTC

This evening during COVID-19 lockdown, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to take a short drive to Bellbird Grove for a walk after working from home. We first took a walk around the Turbal Circuit, walking along the creek, and with still energy left, we took a walk around the Golden Boulder track. We both had memories of having visited this area several years ago, in particular seeing some of the old gold mine cutouts.
Whilst driving down to Bellbird Grove, we spotted this cache, and so made this our first find of the day, thus we parked nearby and took a short walk down the fire track to GZ. It was a reasonably quick find, and another excellent/fantastic cache construction by the CO. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and a Favourite Point awarded from me. Thanks Wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. If help is required to maintain, then I'm happy to help in the future, or adopt if need be!
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Back in December, we had attempted to drive down this road and find a few geocaches, however we discovered the road was closed for a few months and the area below was under some sort of maintenance or reconstruction.
We put it on the back burner, but today with some free hours and beautiful weather we decided to visit this area and go for a walk around the picnic area and enjoy the sunshine.
Logging this one, we sang a song from our childhood, which brings back lots of happy memories of a movie that we really enjoyed.
Given we were on the road in the car, the hide was particularly relevant as were the lyrics.
”Near, far, in our motor car Oh what a happy time we'll spend.
Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Our fine four fendered friend.”
Yep! A great day out. A lovely drive and some beautiful walking along the way as well.
Thanks wingaap!

Very cool, I don’t think the spiders like us walking through all their webs tho : P
On an EPIC ride adventure completing the multi cache “X” today. Along our journey we passed by a few other caches that some of us didn’t have, this was one of them for me.
A short ride down the hill to find another wingaap prize cache, there is always something exciting about these caches, thank you for the smiles at every cache of yours. This is a huge cache and a lot of work has gone into this one, an awesome cache thank you. We signed the log and returned the cache, then it was the push bikes back up hill to meet the others and continue back on the trail to the next cache.
Thanks for placing this one here, all is good with this cache, cheers

I love the anticipation and the hunt for this CO's caches. You never know what you might find.
This one didn't disappoint. Definitely my favourite cache for the day.
Managed to pick up this one whilst out hunting down "X" with a great mob of Cachers.
Thanks to Chamad, OBC, Georode, Ruzzelz, Orange crew and PPrime.
Cheers for the placement and upkeep of this cache.

Well, this was very clever! Well done Wingaap on another great cache. A lot of effort has gone into building this unique cache container. I think we could spot GZ from about 25m out.
Headed out along Mt Nebo Road today with the oldest geokid, looking for some of Queensland's oldest and/or most loved caches. Wingaap was the CO for quite a few of them!
Unfortunately, we lost our pen somewhere on the path for the first cache. We have taken photos of the log for the CO.
This cache and the log is in great condition. With the backdrop of some rain clouds, and green lush bush from the recent rains, GZ was looking very beautiful.
Thanks for taking us here. TB visit FP from us.

Another day out chasing caches to fill both hidden date and hidden month. I sent a message to grannysmith1947 to see she would like to find some older caches today. Vee Tree was the main one today. She bought along Millie the geodog with her. We had a good day.

It was perfect weather to head out and find a few caches, overcast with showers. So I decided to travel to this area and create a few more smileys for my map.
I enjoyed the short stroll to GZ and very quickly discovered the funky container. I can see why this one has so many favourite points.
Thanks for the cache wingaap

On a day off, I had some time to chase some high FP caches for Cache Carnival
out and about today and came to check this one out. a quick find and i wasn’t disappointed. a cool cache. thanks
Parked right at the trail head and strolled to GZ. A beautiful walk on a beautiful day Just as I went off the path a council car drove past and despite trying to hide behind a tree they spotted me and stopped It took a bit to convince them that I was OK, not lost, and in no need of help before they went on their way and I could continue to GZ ️
A quick find right at the coordinates and what a great cache! I loved the extra details found on closer inspection Another clever cache deserving of a FP!
Thanks for the effort ️

Got here pretty early – 6-ish, from memory – only to find a little hatchback parked at the trailhead, with a lady reclining in her seat and reading a book. Fair enough!!
I parked nearby, and then set off on foot, squeezing past her car as quickly as possible, and on down the hill. I quickly had the cache in hand – another superb wingaap creation, of course – and, after signing the log and smashing it back up the slope and into the car, I made tracks for Bellbird Grove, hopefully to knock over a few more caches. Thanks, wingaap.

Bristracker and I were out caching today to try and and get caches which helped us toward challenges as well as get some caches for Bristracker to get some hidden creatures souvenirs. Bristracker was in need of caches with lots of favourite points, so we tackled this part of Brisbane. We parked at the gate and made the short trek to the cache. The cache is so awesome, we LOVED it!!! TFTC

Sunday. Slow Puncture was out today on Mothers Day with family members, who included a very young member who has really taken with finding “treasures”. After a lovely picnic bbq lunch at a nearby picnic area, this was the first of 5 caches we found today. Coming up to GZ, young one called out “I think it is over in there”. How right he was! Wow. Loved this cache. We deliberately picked out this cache, knowing that our young partner in cache finding would enjoy this one. Finding amazing caches like this is introducing our young muggle child into a wonderful world of caching / bush walking / treasure finding and he is enjoying it immensely.
This was the 6th of 10 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***wingaap***, for showing us this place.

Last find for our Sunday drive and we nearly drove passed. A U-turn was needed to get us back to a place we could park. A fantastic cache was found here with everything AOK inside. Great hide and TFTC wingaap
What an amazing contraption. These are caches so worth finding and going out of your way for. Thanks so much for the cache.
I was travelling the area yesterday and decided to drive an hour back this morning just to find a few more caches and do some more hikes in the area. It's gorgeous.

After finding some nearby caches, there was still enough light to find another. I moved the geomobile closer to this one and took another stroll. At GZ, the good sized cache was quickly located and the log signed. FP for this one. TFTC
Easy find. Wow, great container! Will come back with the geokids to find more wingaap caches.

On the way out of Bellbird Grove, parked nearby to collect this cache and a monty python hand grenade. The hills were starting to take their toll with water quickly being consumed so a quick find was mandated.
Found a great container and appreciate the amount of work in fabricating this container. Inside was impressed with the old GPS unit and a pocket organiser that I was very familiar with. Somewhere in the garage there is the same unit, somewhere.
Parting happily with a favourite point for this hide. Thanks wingaap for the nostalgia kick!!

Found while out on a night adventure with marlie38, natureOnut and boywonder. TFTC
This is such a creative cache and is well deserving of the many favourite points it has received. We ventured out to find this one during the night and it was responsible for many great laughs. TFTC! I had an excellent night with Marlie38, ms_sammii and my better half.

Another fabulous cache, well worth the trek to see it. At first we thought we would have to bush bash down the hillside but luckily found another entry and fire trail from which to access it. Took builder trackable and left witch trackable and some kid swaps.
I accidentally end up at Bellbird Grove after missing my turn off so I figured I might as well find this one for my cache for the day. As I was walking down the hill towards it I wasn't looking forward to the walk back up to the car but it was actually a really easy walk. Cache is in great condition and looks awesome.
Quick afternoon cache run to collect a few more of the caches around here. Drove out to the nearby dirt track and then made the short stroll to GZ. This was another one I remember seeing a picture of but it was still cool to see in the flesh and to also see the added detail on the inside. Dropped of a bunch of TBs I had brought up from Canberra. Thanks wingaap, fav point added.
Found with MalDawg, Geokids and GeoDog on the way down to NSW for Christmas.
So creative!
So creative!
Even my 2 year old was singing Chitty Chitty bang bang when we find this one. So much effort into this one.
An early morning walk with the geodog today. On a late shift and so had to make this one a quick find which it was. Parked the car nearby and a short pleasant walk down the track. The cache did not disappoint. Excellent work wingaap! TFTC
Cache #3 of 10 for Kim and Barb's Excellent Adventure Take 2.
Oh Wingy you have outdone yourself on this one! As barbb and I walked along the forest trail, we discussed what we thought the container would be. Having had some experience with the marvellous mechanical masterpieces of the CO we couldn't wait to find the cache. Wow! It didn't disappoint. What a fantastic, creation! This is a great one for the smaller geocachers and there's even some electronic antiques to spy as well. Barbb and I signed the log and headed back to the car...ready for the next cache of our adventure along Wingy's Way. TFTC Wingy - I can give you a fave for this one as I just earned a point!

Only 52 favourites? It is worth way more. Nicely done and well worth a trip out of town
Our approach was a sensible one this time, along the path, to old for skipping down hillsides All good with cache TFTC
Took a spectacular slide as I attempted to beat the Aussie Joker to the cache lol! Nice work yet again wingap
Another fabulous wingaap cache. It would be such a handy cache-mobile for sure! A lovely area and a nice short hike for this one *phew!* Everything in good condition. Thanks.
Aww, so cute! I found this at night, with my mum (1Minnie Moo), my little brother(1GiantPanda), my uncle(EngPhil) and my cousin (Geosie). Unfortunatly, my fear of spiders and ghosts made me just a little frightend but once we discovered this little cache, I felt a lot better. TFTC
A night time sneak out in to the bush to find our cache today with 1MinnieMooJnr, 1GiantPanda, EngPhil and MissGeosie. Pulled the car in at trail head and could smell burning rubber... Oh no are WE Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?? Nah it's not us. Smell dissipating we grab our torches and made our way toward GZ. Not long before we found our prize - a very creative cache that earned quite the chuckle on our discovery, thank you Wingapp. Have taken the Bart Simpson TB to continue on his journey, and will definitely be back out here to discover more Wingapp masterpieces!
Find #1615 at 18:16 with MissGeosie, 1MinnieMoo, 1MinnieMooJnr and 1GiantPanda.
Sitting around after a late Sunday lunch, 1MinnieMoo mentioned needing to get a cache with more than 10 FPs, and so it was decided that she and family could perhaps benefit from an introduction to Wingaap's work
The sun had already set by the time we headed out, and so Palopinto and BopsyGirl declined the invitation to join us. The rest of us piled into the car and headed out.
I chose this one as promising to be relatively child-accessible (even at night), and with a good collection of FPs. (Plus, I've already done most of the others along here )
We parked at the nearest trailhead and headed into the bush. 1MinnieMooJnr was a little apprehensive of the forest after dark, but seasoned adventurer MissGeosie helped put her at ease. [^] We spied an unknown animal crossing the path ahead of us, saw a cane toad and a few spiders, and heard plenty of other wildlife. I really enjoy this kind of spot, day or night.
We're not sure if we took the easiest way from the trail to GZ or not, but it worked out pretty well, and we were soon greeted by... yep, as expected, a Wingaap masterpiece. [^] Lots of oohing and aahing, photos were taken... then we opened it up. And more oohing and aahing and photos happened. Not at all what I'd expected (I don't know what I did expect), but we all loved it, and the attention to detail, as always.
The kids explored the contents, some swaps were made, and we were soon on our way back out the way we came.
Thanks for the cache, wingaap. I foresee another family spending some time along this road soon.

We were at another of the CO's caches nearby and thought we would make our way to this one as it seems very popular with lots of favourite points. We found the spot to park the car and headed down the trail. Made our way to GZ and found another fantastic creation, with great attention to detail. Signed the log & added a couple of swaps to the container & returned to its hiding place. Thanks for another great cache to visit. A fav point from us. TFTC
After singing the song all the way down, and a big day of caching, we were happy it wasnt far off the track. What a great surprise when we got there. This is one creative owner! Boys were so excited and thought it was awesome. Got out just before the rain fell. What a great cache to end the day! TFTC
Visited while caching for a few days before spending Christmas with family on the Sunshine Coast. Parked the car and walked in along the track and made a quick find of the cache at GZ. Thanks!
A nice walk along the fire trail to find another well crafted cache... another fave point and some English coin... tftc...
My trip to The Gap to drop off some TBs for an overseas adventure left me with a couple of hours up my sleeve to find some of the great wingaap hides in the area. After a false start walking the direct route down the hill, I did the sensible thing and moved the car. Ah that's better, a nice walking track. Soon found the cachers favourite hide, and uncovered the wonderful cache. What a work of art, a real tribute to the received, who must feel quite special seeing it. TFTC
We had formed a group to take on 'X' and the route took us close by. A quick search later and we had found another WingAAP classic.
Thanks for adding a delightful cache to our day.
Thanks for adding a delightful cache to our day.
Another wonderful creation to find today after a short deviation while out walking the X cache trail today. Tftc.
Came by today with a group on an assault for multi that passes nearby. The team agreed to come an get it with me. Not far to go thankfully, and soon had a great little piece of art in my hands. A lot of time and thought was spent creating this. Very impressive.
Thanks Wingaap.
Thanks Wingaap.
What a perfect weekend! Two days out in the bush together with my girlfriend, our mountain bikes, our tent and some really nice Steaks. Besides camping in the bush we found in total 34 caches Thank you very much wingaap for showing us this area. Just because of you and your famous caches we visited this area, so thanks a lot.
Little tricky to get up here in thongs, probably should have put some shoes on, haha. Great container. tftc!
I happened to be in the area targetting a cache for a challenge cache when I realised I was in wingaap territory. I would never forgave myself if I never looked into a wingaap cache while I was in the area. My initial search on the old smartphone brought up many targets, but I refined it to favourites and this one came up top of the list, and only a short distance from Vee Tree (El Tree?). So off I went.
A short drive and I was at the closest parking space to this cache, and I saw a car parked there with two gentleman wandering down the hill. I was thinking, they could be cachers...and is that wingy? I made my way down the hill pretty quickly when I saw two gentleman starting to head off on a tangent from the trail...of course they were cachers. I yelled out "you must be cachers" . The reply I got "is that dahumbug?, gee you get around". A quick greeting with Peter and we were soon marvelling this creation.
I love guided tours from COs and I have been lucky a few times now to have such happenings. This time was cool because wingy explained Mr LLJ vehicle. I have never met Mr LLJ yet but probably will one day. I couldn't help but draw comparisons to my own vehicle on this trip. I had the kayak and mountainbike on the back of the ute, and all my phones, ipad, GPSrs and computer in the cab. I think Peter even remarked how my car resembled Chitty.
I scrolled down to read LLJ log on this tribute cache and I am glad he loved it, and why wouldn't he.
Thanks wingaap for my maiden wingaap cache...hope to get to a few more in the future.

Part VI
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang reminded me to a movie that I watched as a kid, back home with my parents. David Niven if I'm well. He had a car that could do everything, including lifting the car up to see further. This cache is addicted to somebody having such a car, many tools on board, including a boat, whatever you may need for geocaching
When we were about to find the cache, we heard a person yelling to us. A fellow cacher. We talked, did the cache administration and walked back the the car. Then we noticed that this fellow cacher is also having a kind of chitty chitty bang bang car, including bike and boat!
--- to be continued ---
Thanks for this cache,
Peter from The Netherlands

Out hunting with Dr_Pepi, Mataeka and Team DNF today, but I really wish the kids were with me to see the wonderful detail that goes into caches like this. Thanks for the awesome effort Wingaap. TNLN, SL.
After finding some other wingaap caches on the other side of the picnic area, with trin_007, mataeka and Team__DNF, we decided to head up to this cache. Some debate existed about whether to take the bush track from the others and come round, or head back through the carpark. In the end we went through the car park and walked up the road to get to this one. Ugh. What a hike uphill! My poor calves are going to feel it tomorrow… Anyway, kept going and going till we got to the trailhead, and were relieved to see that it wasn't too steep going downhill. Found the cache without much difficulty - and what a cache it was! It had a giant huntsman spider as a guardian who was a bit annoyed at being disturbed, but we managed to move him on without incident.
Another favourite point heading your way for the time and effort on this one wingaap TFTH!
(I don't know how many more of your caches I can do - I'll be running out of favourite points!!)

Found with Lisylou, BennyBoppers, Jemalucy and MNance101. An awesome cache and one I look forward to returning to so I can show the geokids!
After firespotting cache we headed back towards chitty chitty bang bang. We parked on the side of the road and looked down the hill, do we go down there, um no let's check if there's a better way, jemalucy jumped back in the car to see if there was a trail, she came back and said there was a trail, so we piled back into the cars and parked at the nice little trail leading to the cache. We certainly could of made that a lot harder. Anyway nice easy walk in and a quick find. We marvelled at the attention to detail with this cache. Great work. Tftc
Out caching with Misssusan, Lisylou, jemalucy, Remsjw, and Bennyboppers. This is a fantastic cache. A favourite from me!
