"Progress" has now taken this cache, together with the beautiful creek that was once here. Hopefully the road work contractors will be required to make some attempt at fixing the mess they're creating. Maybe they'll be a "Quality the Third" some time in the future.
Had I quick look but found nothing.
Didnt really looking to much,If it still exists I dont think I will be here for much longer

The clearing might have expanded since May, I'd be surprised if this one is still alive.
DNF
The whole area on the northern side of the creek has been cleared for the Berry bypass.
All trees chopped down and undergrowth cleared.

The cache is not in the cleared area north of the creek as implied by the previous DNF log. The area the cache is in remains undisturbed at this stage.
I got wet feet, I got prickles, I got the cache who could ask for anything more -

Had this one on the list to attempt after the event at Berry today and hearing others say they were successful on their way down, I knew it was in place and would be worth the effort. Doesn’t really matter which side of the creek you start from, there will still be some river crossing and difficult terrain to traverse. Kept my feet dry but I’m still picking grass seeds out of my clothing and car upholstery. Arrow bouncing so much I ended up relying on cacher’s instinct to spot the hide, thankfully not as high as I was expecting.
I was on my way to celebrate J+J's 10,000th find today, and had to find some caches along the way. I had walked down the track and who should I bump into, attempting the same as I: Paegle.
I had realised by this point that a creek crossing and potential soak was ahead of us.
soon enough we were at gz, and the cache spotted soon enough.
Thanks for the cache.

Find Number 716, found at 11:12
The main focus of today was the event to celebrate J&J's 10,000 cache finds. As a sideline, I decided to try and beat my previous personal best of 10 different D/T combinations in a day. So, armed with a list of caches with unique D/T combinations, I set off.
Sixth find and fifth D/T combination of the day. I originally approached this one from Camp Quality Park, but found an impassable creek in the way. I then attacked it from Woodhill Mountain Road after taking a side road into the construction area. Fortunately, it being Sunday, no-one was around and I could get at the cache without too much difficulty. Glad I found this one before it becomes affected by the Bypass.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found.
Thanks TheHunterGatherers for the cache.

found this cache on the why to todays event end up falling in and getting my socks wet
At last, finally got to find this cache. Hopefully the new by-pass will not mean that it will be lost TFTC
New log book. The area has changed significantly over the years, making the cache harder than it was originally. It's days may be numbered with the Berry bypass road passing too close for comfort.
I'll get out to this one in a week or two with a new log book and a general tidy up.
The book is now full! And the bugger who put the toy spider in the container is not funny!
Nice Cache.

A nice find while travelling north. A cool little park and creek. TFTC
Little Grey Fantails all around led me to the spot. High and dry after a bit of walking the plank to cross the water.
Stopped to grab this cache on our way to grab some lunch. Cache very wet needs maintance. TFTC
Nice grab on our way to gerringong for a few caches and then on to gerroa for an earth cache to complete the august challenge. Log was very wet and in need of attention.TFTC
Nice spot my friend Jack fell in trying to cross the creek. Log book a bit wet.

Good fun crossing the river. Log book is quite wet and nearly out of pages. Nice walk.
We have wanted to do this cache for some time, but either recent rains raised the creek level or there were muggles around. Today we decided it was dry enough and found it.

The Berry Celtic Festival was in full swing at the grounds next to GZ so we snuck up from the other side of the creek. Not much water flowing so access was dry going. Never looked for 'Quality' but no wonder it went sailing, 'Higher Quality' doesn't look much above possible flood level from what I have seen here many years ago. TFTC THGs.
A lovely spot. Idyllic on rhis mod 20s day.

Had a good look with geo dad who is very eager to find this very interesting caching knowing what it looks like makes no difference when u have know idea on gz. Lots of rain has helped the bushes grown large and I dont advise kids to go in without propper foot wear .
perfect home for snakes and spiders up to my knees thongs not the best idea ....coming back with gum boots and hopefully working gps. Xx ps so confused.

Sent geodaughters up the creek to no avail. Pretty funny watching them get wet though. Will try again when better attired for creek bashing.
In the rain we plunged into this cache. Lets say we got wet and found the cache nice and dry. Thanks, this place looks well maintained.
Loved the little bit of climbing and delicate water crossing on stepping stones to cross back and forth to this one. Definitely not one to try after heavy rain.
Geohubby gets all the good jobs, today he had a small creek crossing! Left an eraser, took a badge TFTC
A lovely Mother's Day outing, watching mothers'and dogs picnic nearby! No rain for a bit so the crossing was very do-able Brave Akubra rock hopped across the creek and Nav Akubra tree hopped. TB "Muffin" dog paddled. Took the eraser, left the TB. SL, TFTC Hunter Gatherers
Wow !!!! So glad I wore my old joggers! After a visit to berry dentist we decided to pop down for this challenge. Not one for princesses as I ended up walking through the river with my back pack on my tummy and nine year old on my back. So unfair - my 11 year old and I toughed out the smelly water and the nine year old found the treasure, right at her eye level! Great way to finish the day!
after some bush bashing and a creek crossing I found it. Also found some stinging nettles
Looks like this one will stay above the flow for a while. Still had to get our feet wet to retrieve, and discovered when I got back to the car that I had given a small leech a ride for a while.

I parked near the tennis courts and made the 200 mtr walk to GZ. Luckily the creek was dry today. Cache all OK ! SL TFTC
Stopped for lunch after a weekend down the coast. A really nice park that we hadn't used before. TFTC

We stayed in Berry on Saturday, and stopped to find this cache on our way to Kiama early Sunday morning.
The way we came in was an easy walk, but we had to cross over the creek near GZ. Looked in a couple of spots before bikerbuddy made the find.
Thanks

We camped in Berry and did this cache on our way to Kiama in the morning. The map on the GPS said is was on one side of the creek, but when we got close it became obvious that we needed to step across the stones. After that it was a quick find. Thanks
Finally got back to this one. Almost no water in the creek this time and an easy find. Can see why it did not survive its previous incarnation.
A short scramble down to the creek and rock hopping, soon found myself on an island. I was surprised to find cache intact. Thanks for the journey.
Followed the path ok until it was time to try the other path. Easy at the moment, but wouldn't want to try after a lot of rain.
Thanks for the cache......a bit fun.

What a journey! Crossed the ice-cold river only to end up in stinging plants, crossed back to get my boots, then noticed that I have to cross more water! Loved it though! Thanks for the adventure! TNLN
Found bit with Newberys well to be truthful Newberys found it for me but I was considerable help
Emboldened by the last cacher, I braved the creek and got stung by the nettles. It was worth it though as I got it this time while the WEEO kept the cachekid dry. TFTC
A good little adventure (for me).
Moo and Moo junior x2 made the trek across the creek while I walked all the way around over the bridge and down the edge of the turf farm only to find that GZ was still out of reach for me.
In the end;
Moo=wet feet
Moo junior x2=wet feet
Woo=dry feet standing on the bank yelling 'a bit further...stop...left a bit....no, now to the right...stop....now look around there'.
Eventually I was able to successfully guide my minions to the right spot and 'they' made the find.

Nice cache, all in good condition. I'd recommend finding the alternate crossing otherwise prepare to get your feet wet!
Well decided to try this one as I was passing by headed to Oaks Flat, got over the water of with my high heels, well the gps didn't want to give me GC and then it settled. Now I notice a fellow geocachers approaching with his geo hound , an extra pair of eyes always come in handy, soon cache was located, duties done. Now going across looked a little more challenging so John suggested to go a little further down it would be a little easier, trooping thru long stinging nettle and when we came across to the section of cross over.. Hhmmmmm this looks harder... I can do it, I must have had a nervous look on my face as John offered to piggy back across... Thanks but I will be ok, this was Johns first cache ever, it was nice to meet you. TFAFC
Good one HG, not so easy to find as we would have hoped, nearly got the feet wet. We look forward to finding more of yours in the future. New GPS has done it's job. JenneG
Definitely one of those classic geocaching moments. Found myself on the wrong side of the stream as did previous loggers. Fair bit of water so decided to leave everything on this side, take shoes off and walk slowly across the ankle-deep part. Got to the other side, whereupon I realised I am now in bare feet surrounded by stinging nettles without my GPS. Genius! Had a quick hunt around before crossing over to get GPS, crossing back, using GPS and discovering I had been about a foot away from it earlier. Managed to cop the usual couple of facefuls of spiderweb, many mozzie bites and my right big toe is throbbing from stinging nettles. So this is a favourite for sure! TFTC.
As I walked up through this great area all I could hear was the birds and the low drown of the highway traffic.
I think I got lucky and found the easy way in straight up as it was only ankle deep on the crossing and a quick find in an area with lots of potential spots for it to be.
