Took me a good 10 minutes to find. A few of the not so subtle hints has me looking where I shouldnt have. I eventually lowered my eyes and found it! TFTC!!
I am in the area with a specific goal to find a cache in the South Grampians LGA. I happened upon this cute little town named Glenthompson and thought I had hit the jackpot, but that was not to be. Glenthompson is currently home to 2 trads and 1 adlab. What fun I thought. I really enjoyed the adlab but was foiled with the neighbours to one of the waypoints, spending way too much time in their front yard. Not to worry, two more! I went to the station; I felt awkward with the history museum open and me just wandering around; meh, I'm leaving. Off to the next one which I think is MIA. So disappointed was I that I have highlighted Glenthompson as a place I must visit again. I can't have bad luck twice in the same town. I checked my map, and yay, there is another just down the road. This was fun; it cheered me up, its camo is a blast, and I now have a find in the Southern Grampians. Sorry, what? There are more LGA challenges, 12 and 20? Woah, not for me yet. This was enough for me.Thanks, Lennyboy, and I promise I'll be back for your other hides.
Definitely isn't what you think it is and don't actually go in the corner it's near it
Found on the way back from a family function in Balmoral My GPS sent me to clearly marked path, but it was not there, I turn around and it all made sense
TEMBO! and I visited the cache "Yuppeckiar Park". We streched our legs and signed the guestbook. Thanks to lennyboy for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
TFTC! 27 December 2023 8:42:25pm 6622Thanks for the quick stop on the way through.
This took a longer due to phone coverage and therefore following other people's footstepsBut alas there was a light overhead that went off and it was soon seenThanks for placing it
This is another case of approaching from the wrong direction yet again. If all that heaped soil wasn't there then I would have walked straight up to it. Anyway another date filled in thanks for the opportunity.
Nice day to head out west with Sol de lune. Off to Glenthompson for Breakfast Event and a CITO at Walkers Swamp, followed up with a Lunch Event at Dadswell Bridge and a CITO at Mt William Creek. Time for a few caches on the way up, some in between and a few more on the way home. Many thanks for the placement of the caches to all the CO’s. The caches were all found in great condition and were fun to find. Sol de lune and I thankyou for our days entertainment.
Thank you very much for this cache and your constant upkeep to keep it here for others to find lennyboy.

Out on run out to Glenthompson with JTreeTrack2 for a CITO and then onto Dadswell Bridge for another one. Weather was good for most of the day and all went well with the events.
This one was a quick find as we made our way to the CITO. Bit wet underfoot, but all was good.
Thanks lennyboy...

Double bagged cache had geohubby grumbling, he struggles with the baggies , but at least the log is nice and dry. Tftc
Nice little park I wondered about the “Strathmore” sign too. Did you find anything out about the township?
TFTC, nice little leg stretcher on a long day.

scramping & I made our way to Ballarat for the long weekend on a mission to complete the GeoTour, which we accomplished. Today was home time, we collected a few caches along the way.
A quick stop & find in this neat little park. A good place to stretch the legs.

FoundFound it with hevwalker on our way home from a great longweekend in Ballarat getting the final GeoTour caches and my #5000 find. Also did 10 different cache types in a day, such a satisfying weekend of caching with great caches to find. Thanks for contributing my caching adventures this weekend.
Could see where other cachers went and I followed around and around, then looked at the gps....oh....there. Yep had cache in hand, signed and replaced where found quickly. TFTC

On our way home from Portland, quick stop along the way. Great little spot and there was a few people here with dogs, loving their little run too I might add

What a nice little pullover spot. Of course, wearing thongs, walked the wrong way, the hard way, when it was right in front of me. Thank goodness the grass had just been cut, I wouldn't have attempted it
Probably not a good idea wearing thongs in such long grass but I survived! We ended up stopping here for lunch whilst on our summer road trip. The cache was a quick find and a nice waterproof container. TFTC!

The grass was quite long but seeing the new clue it was a quick find. I loved the container
Heading in a westerly direction and grabbing a few caches along the way.
It seems this little cache has been underwater. Everything was waterlogged.

Day Two: Naracoorte to Ballarat.
Weather: all over the place, standard Victoria.
Another reasonably quick find here as I push east; thanks again lennyboy.

Found by Rebel Acts.
with it being School holidays in Victoria I had some time spare to head to Millicent where I teamed up with the Empire for a few days caching in the area, we had a fantastic time exploring the area.
This is one of the caches found on route to SA. A nice spot to stop and break the drive.
Thanks lennyboy for the cache.

Found! Nice little area to stop over on the way to Mount gambier A little bit of water in it, but the log book was dry! Thank you
Found with fitzy_1965 on an interstate weekend away collecting counties.
Today saw us travel from Oxley Reserve near Wangaratta to Hamilton in the States west. Our main target was a Community Celebration Event at lunch time in Bendigo and as many counties and virtuals as we could along the way. The day was a mix of sun and rain which kept us on our toes and then, the prospect of not finding a free camp area for the evening, saw us splurge on a motel room. We found a fantastic kebab shop for dinner…I think we will be back in Hamilton LOL.
Of the caches we tried, they were found quickly and easily. Thanks so much to each and every CO.

28,068. Found with minniek during a caching run down to Ballarat and southwest Victoria in general.
Day 2. After camping overnight at Oxley we continued heading south, grabbing a few Traditionals and Virtuals before attending the nearby Community Celebration Event. After that we visited the Ex-POW Wall for a few caches, then started our SouthWest Loop picking up some Local Government Areas/Counties as part of our quest to finish all the Victorian ones this year. This was the next cache on our list, and once at GZ (avoiding the dead snake !!) we made a quick find. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on our way.
Thanks lennyboy !!

Found it! It was time to drive home after a weekend in Hamilton. And of course a few caches along the way. This was one of them. Kept two eyes out for snakes in the long grass. Saw none thankfully!! A quick find once at GZ. TFTC SL
The cache has been flooded out with all the rain, and soon as the weather becomes fine I will replace the cache.
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks for the report from the previous cacher The cache that was found was a cache container that was previously muggled and today I visited the cache and found the old cache in the open and saturated However the replacement cache is still intact and good to go.
Thanks lennyboy
Thanks lennyboy
Looked where I thought it would be.. but it wasn't walked past.. and turned around.. and oh.. The cache is very wet and will log a Needs Maint.. Sad to think there was a town here and now nothing. We recall a couple of other caches we have visited that marked similar stories of the past. Thanks lennyboy.
Well this is a silly new way to do things.. Logbook is wet but usable. Cache is taking on water and needs to be checked.
After a rainy start to the day, the weather had improved with blue skies enabling us to continue caching our way home the long way from Warrnambool
Made the small walk to the cache while trying to imagine there once was a town here.
Thanks lennyboy for the interesting placement.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache. The logbook is very very very wet and needs replacing.
TFTC. We were heading back to Ballarat after a few days in Portland. Spotted this cache enroute so pulled up . A quick find. Log book is sodden. Some TLC is required.
On a road trip to Western Victoria, picking up random caches as we check out the area. This was day 11 of the 16 day trip and we were travelling from Cape Bridgewater via Dartmoor to Lake Bolac and stopped in here for lunch and you would not believe it there was a cache here and we actually had it on the GPS. After eating our picnic lunch we wandered over and made the quick easy find. The logbook is however very very very wet and needs replacing. Maintenance request to be logged. TFTC. TNLN.
Found with Boo09, Neisha07 & Chan02 on a family trip to Portland.
A nice quick find and welcome break from the car. TFTC

Find #4777. Found @ 15:07
With an extra week off work, I decided to go on a little 4 day caching trip, that I've dubbed the CMapLGAmer trip. Combining targeted finds for the Country Map challenge, LGA challenge, and AUSmer challenge finds in the Western Victoria region - for added bonus, I've also included some large caches in the mix as well for another challenge, but they weren't in the mix when I came up with the name.
I used cachetur.no to plan the trip and (after I worked out some kinks with how I was using it) it worked fine.
I used this location as a rest stop to stretch my legs after a bit of a drive. When I arrived on site, there was a worker mowing the lawn of the park, and around the area that I wanted to search in. I had a bit of a break, and got myself a drink from the esky while he was doing laps.
He soon moved on to the front region, and I made my move. The cache find was easy, in the obvious spot, but the log was a bit damp and had black mold on it. Mold always makes me cautious. I suppose in these times of hand sanitising after each cache, it shouldn't be too much of a concern, right?
This fell under the LGA cache category.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache lennyboy

Heading on our way to MT Gambier today to run tomorrow’s parkrun snd collecting a few cache on the way. Thanks for the leg stretch and mini adventure.
With borders reopened, Gunks and I planned an escape to do some caching around the planned mega. Picked up a few along the journey to Mount Gambier. Quick stop off. TFTC
Found your cache and the log book is very soak and manage to log it lennyboy, thank you so much for placing it.
Found with T and S. The cache is quite wet and growing mould, could do with some love. Tftc!
Good little spot here! Got a pond and nice area for a cup of tea! TFTC as well!
Enjoyed a cool winter's afternoon caching our way in a loop south of Ararat. We must have driven past this site several times over the past few years, but never stopped to appreciate the township that once was. TFTC and for bringing us here lennyboy.
On our way home from a Dr apt in Hamilton this evening, deciding to take the long way around, rather than through, The Grampians, given the time of day. Nice, quick find, tftc.
