Came down for the annual swap meet at the showground which was a great excuse for Mrs C to do some caching around Gosford.
Finding this could have been easier if we had known how shallow the creek was. But we didn't know so took the long way along the path between the tracks and the creek.
Found it easy and moved a couple of metres away to sign log and was sprung by a bloke who'd already had a few cans of Jack Daniels. Explained that I was bird watching. This was when I found out that the creek was shallow as the bloke pulled his shoes off, explaining that this was his crossing point, and promptly waded across.
Cache contents in good condition. TNLN. Thanks Wombats but why is it archived?
Met some brown labs on the way back but saw no Snow.

Found with MrDamage and skypirate. Cache contents not good. But we could sign the log.
Located 1:49 PM with AuroraEve and Skypirate~ in tow. I had to have the car serviced nearby and this seemed a good way to kill time It had fair bit of water in it and may have been caught in flood water but log book was ok in the sealed plastic bag. Trinkets a little worse for wear from water. I dried it out, signed and then on my way. Note it didn't seem to be hidden real well perhaps from the water. I covered it a little more.
Went for a very pleasant stroll to this one today, an interesting location and a nice short walk much better than cars buzzing past while cache hunting. Thanks for the new log Wombats, cache is in as new condition. We had a nice quick find and got the log signed and the cache replaced, then once our minds were out of cache mode we spotted it. Blow me down, the Wombats were right, there it was in front of us, some nice fresh snow, this got a chuckle as on the way to the GZ we were talking about our chances of seeing snow here in January . Nice work Wombats and TFTC.
Up and running again. Some trinkets in there and will replenish with better stuff soon.
Looks like this took a swim during last weekend's downpour. Will dry & replace when I can get there.
container full of water and log book plastic bag full of water as well. Not much I could do except empty out water.
Nice little walk. Lots of lizards out sunning themselves along the walk.

I had a nice walk from Narara Valley Drive end of the track. My car navigator got me close to the spot, a bit out, so as usual I had to search around. I should have read the additional notes and I would have been onto it straight away. Left small compass, took nothing. Thanks.
Nice cache. Lovely area.
The cache was really wet inside but the Log Book was still dry enough to sign easily.

Reperio at 1025. First cache found for the day, and after finding a good access point nearby GZ, enjoyed the short walk to where the cache was found after a short search.
Gratias.
Gratias.
Enjoyed the short walk to the cache, made the find and headed off to the event for the afternoon.
I was beginning to think this was gone as there were a few ziplock bags laying about the area, until I stood on an improvised bong. Then the search was back on! Tnln sl. Cheers from Browngang
No snow, did startle a red-belly blacksnake on the approach though.
Did need to decrypt the hint, but not being much of a botanist, it wasnt much assistance. Found it after some more looking though.

Took a wrong turn or two in the bush before we found the right path. Finally made it, though.
Nice spot by the creek.
TNLN, TFTC!

Struth I made this hard for myself....I think.....Up and down over railway lines, under bridges, through and through fences, along the river, through the scrub and that was just to get THERE. That was after trying to access it from the railway playground to no avail. I did not mean to litter but in carrying my three-year old miss minichef I lost my wad of cache papers. Thus ending my caching for the day. Another reason to upgrade GPS' and go paperless! In the end after what seemed like a ridiculous maize of travel I managed to find the cache and then found the cache master srubbing around in the bushes.

Ahh what a difference a few days makes.
again I was close by this cache for reasons other than geocaching, and having been here and not found it, earlier , was determined to get a find today.
I had 30 mins to get to the location, find the cache,do the duties, and get back to the car.
I accessed the cache from the Always dry, access route this time.
I managed to complete the task in 18, so I have no idea why I could not see the cache last time, and realise that I may have checked from one side of its hiding spot but not the other, last time I looked.
darn.
Ah well. at least now I can cross this one off my to-do list.
thanks for the cache.,
took a shiny medalion, left a re-useable shoppoing bag that compresses down to a small pocket sized pack. , quite handy.

was driving by on an alternat access road to this cache, and decided it was worth the stop. only to get within40m of the cache and be stopped by the tide! Argh!, no gumboots ar anything as i was not prepared to hunt. and the only other way to get closer was to break the law, so i reluctlantly turned tail and headed home again.
i will be back.
i will be back.
IM just getting old.
after being out geocaching for a few hours i could not find this cache.
I think id reached my limit , I thought i was upto walking this far, but alas no.
looked in all the obvious spots for some time.
didnt find cache, but did enjoy seeing the mullet in the creek swimming by, The water was so clear.
Will have to come back again and start with this cache instead of leaving it till last.
thanks fotr the fun anyway

I was so stoked to find it.
It's a great way to spice up a boring old run.
Thanks.

We finally had the time to locate this one, being only about 1.5km from home, and the closest unfound cache.
We thought the container and log book looked familiar.
The cache was easily visible from the patin in both directions so we covered it better.
Took scout badge (for Mrs Shifter's camp blanket) and left a glitter pen.
Thanks Wyoming Wombats.

Found it! On the way down, had to cross the flooded path under the bridge but met snow and his owner (i assume). What a friendly dog!
Lovely place looking at the creek, even though right next to a train line.
Took travel bug, left scout badge and pipecleaner.
Thanks for the cache and i will move the TB as soon as i can

Nice afternoon for a quick stroll in the sun. We did come earlier today however jnr slipped over in the mud. After half a hour we could see the wattle tree & she oak but was out of reach due to us needing a boat or swimmers! Decided to go home and change miss muddy and try again later. Only signed log as forgot our stash of swaps. Snow no where in sight!
No sign of Snow, but he was probably curled up in front of the fire, which is where we should have been at 8:30pm. Access to this area is greatly improved, and a short, cold walk led quickly to GZ. The cache was soon found in the glare of the torch. We took the 3 coins and left a TB and coin. Thanks to the Wombats for a good cache, the area is probably quite scenic in daylight. Well worth getting MrsFish away from the heater for a FTF!
Coin drop. Feel free to grab these and move them on as they were stuck for a while in another cache.
