Extremely overgrown and the blackberries are taking over. Searched through the extremely long grass as best as we could with no success. This will be very precarious come the warmer month when the Joe Blakes get active.
Found while in Ballarat with the girlfriend and her son.
Wanted to show him what caching was all about.
We spent a little while looking for it in the usual spots.
It was very overgrown but I managed to spot something eventually.
The boy really enjoyed this as his first experience.
Gets a fave point.
Thanks

Looked around for a bit then stopped for some food for thought before finding the hide. Disturbed a colony of ants retrieving the cache but they were of the non bittey kind. TFTC
A weekend road trip to the Ballarat area, incorporating an event, a cito, a couple of solved puzzles and exploring Enfield Forest.
This had us stumped for some time. Read through some logs and realised we needed to persist and have more of a grown-up look.
Eventually spotted the sneaky blighter. Retrieval was interesting but got there in the end.
Very clever! A favourite point heading your way.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, stashaa

It’s time for a weekend road trip. After speaking to the bank and remortgaging my house I managed to scrape enough together for half a tank of fuel. So I buddied up with OzHockeyChick for the other half a tank so we could get home again. Definitely won’t be leaving the engine running this weekend .
This was a clever hide that had us going for a little bit. I had noticed something without realizing it was the cache. Worthy of a favourite as the sun sets here.
Thanks stashaa for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today. Nice views, experience payed off here.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.
Thanks stashaa for the cache.

Took quite a bit of work at this one. Replaced the log sheet as it was missing.
With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache stashaa.

Great hide! Found fairly quickly. Ants seem to live caches this time of year, who knew they were the perfect place for a nest? . Great view, thanks for taking us here and TFTC!
Having visited the accountant and had lunch with the parents, we wanted to find a few more caches before heading home. Ballarat has such a great selection of caches, and we want to collect them all eventually. We meant to find this cache last trip to Ballarat as we needed the hidden month for a challenge cache. We found this cache after looking at the location several times. It is a nicely camouflaged cache, and the long grass helps hide it well. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache stashaa
Was scared to approach the long grass because of snakes but I ended up fine and found the cache! TFTC
This was actually a really clever hide. Quite impressed. Nice little vantage point too. Thanks for the hide.
Tftc. This one nearly had me giving up. The grass is very long. I grabbed this after giving some plasma today. I searched and searched and searched. Then I thought I would push some of the long grass back and then something spotted my eye that didnt look right. I tried to pull it but no luck. But I think that's cause it hadn't been found for so long. So had to use my pen. Then I broke my pen. Persistence paid off. Very clever. Log was a bit damp but laid it on the post for a bit while I admired the views. Then put it all back.
A fav from me for a great effort in hiding it.

A nice spot up here, cache was easily found and is all good.
Today was all about just caching around Ballarat and collecting a lot of the new caches that had been placed in the last few months. Despite the heaviness of the rain early to the middle of the day 40 finds were made and the 11,000th find was ticked off.
Thanks for the cache

Thought this one might end in a dnf for us today but a quick poke and prod in the right location proved fruitful! Enjoyed the views here for a few minutes while someone wrangled his dog back in control. TFTC
I came down here at dusk and the sun was going down over the horizon, coming to the end of another Queen's birthday long weekend. Before I began the drive back to Melbourne I saw this cache is popular and decided to take a look. I noticed the Geo-trail to the cache straight away. I began feeling my way around in the dark looking for any disguises. I was pleased to find the disguise within about 5 minutes. However, it was so hard to extract because of all the rain!
I signed my name on the logbook which was dry and continued on my merry way. Thanks stashaa.

After picking something up nearby I swung past a couple of local caches that help fill holes in my JASMER calendar - this was one of them. A fairly quick find (thankfully) on a well hidden cache. TFTC.
It was a lovely day to pick to go find some caches and this one wasnt going unfound. After a short little walk through some long grass and pickles i was at the lookout, keeping a lookout out for people, snakes and all other creatures that I didnt want to see but most importantly searching for this well hidden and camoed cache. Well do guys this one was very cool. TFTC
A short stroll from the end of the road,
and I could lookout over the river
With all the long grass around,
fingers crossed the cache wasn't far away
I spied the camo,
and wriggled the cache out of its sneaky little hiding place [^]

Found it on the last day of the year with Sunsong1, a nice quick find for us. Yes there is lots of long grass and plenty of hiding spots for snakes so we kept our eyes open and made lots of noise as we approached ground zero, we soon had the cleverly hidden cache, signed and replaced as found. TFTC.
Hidden in sneaky place. Would suggest wearing long pants so your legs don’t get too cut!
No find today. Long grass and plenty of prickles, take care when searching for this one.

No luck here.
I'd be very surprised if a wheelchair bound cacher could get this one. The dirt slope and the thistles are pretty tough for a wheelchair I would think.
Talking to others later, I think my GPS had me looking about 10-15m off GZ today.
Thanks anyway stashaa

this cache took a little looking for but after a bit of poking around we found an item that told us we had found it. A clever hide. SL TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. After planting some trees at the event nearby we stopped to find this cache. I couldn't actually see the water but I did spot a rabbit, luckily he was heading away from the trees we just put in. TFTC
Lovely views, and loved the cache!! Took us a little while to find but after looking around for 10 minutes it was spotted and log book signed TFTC
Being unfamiliar with this area it took me a while to find the right access for this clever cache. Loved the views and the well hidden cache A favourite point for this one TFTC stashaa
Very crafty little hide.
Found just as the sun was setting and the wind biting.
Thank goodness it didn't take long to find.

Busy day in Ballarat but wanted to get at least one cache prior to leaving town. Chose the closest on our route out of town but daylight was vanishing fast. By the time we got to GZ, it was headlights and my brilliant torch in hand that made spotting this awesome little hide possible. TFTC.
Lots of rabbit evidence about, a few thistles that may have left their mark on me a little, great views, I’ve never been to this spot before. And.. Very cool camo! TFTC
We came up to Ballarat for the weekend to visit the Dr Blake Mysteries Exhibition and go on the DBM bus tour which were both fantastic!! Especially the Exhibition. The scripts were amazing! We also met the famous Californian lady who was in your newspaper last weekend because she came all the way from California to visit Ballarat coz of the DBM!!! She is so famous that John Woods asked her for HER autograph on his copy of the newspaper article .... I kid you not!!
Anyway ... we have friends who live in Ballarat who invited us to their Church's Trivia night on the Sat night. We won one of the door prizes! Well that was Saturday taken care of! Sunday morning we attended our friend's Church then we were off to spend our door prize winnings of a Golden Nugget Voucher! And then to CAAAAACHE!! We found a cache near Golden Nuggets and headed to a couple of caches around the hospital & the Uni but it was Open Day at the Uni and not a carpark to be found anywhere so we headed for the lake to revisit some DBM sites & find some caches!
Very cool hide & a fave point from us!
This was the last cache for the day as we went to Beechworth Bakery afterwards & decided it was too cold to find any more caches after a lovely arvo tea!

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, how lucky are we. This cache hide was excellent, had us beat for a while, very clever. Great hide. Thank you stashaa
Ok its cold here. Nice hide. Havent seen one of them before.
With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.

*brrrrr* cold... Cold... Cold... That wind is biting today! And we were around for a while looking around for thus craftily hidden cache!
In Ballarat for the Christmas in July event. Great find on a cold and windy day. Looked past it a couple of times before noticing something out of place. Hide is in good condition and log is dry. TFTC.
Cool. Yes it's cold day, really it's the breeze, wind chill.. Last time with Geniejoan but we didn't find it. Great hide. Sometimes its in front of you !! Cheers TFTC
Find No. 1840. Found with FUF009 at 1.20pm.
Down in Ballarat with FUF009 who had an appointment to attend. After lunch it was time to do a bit of caching before heading home. We managed to get five caches plus one DNF for the afternoon.
A very tricky hide but after a few minutes of looking it was Mrs Tyred n Cranky who found this neat hide, while FUF009 has passed the spot and was looking elsewhere.

Find # 4320
Found with Tyred n Cranky
Down in Ballarat for the usual appointment, after lunch we headed off to claim some smileys.
An interesting little area and a great view. I missed the cache on the first pass but thankfully Mrs Tyred n Cranky was keen eyed for the find.

Found after attending a CITO in Ballarat. Had some trouble retrieving this cache, I'm guessing the recent rain has caused a slight expansion in its hiding place. I eventually had the log signed and the cache replaced. Thanks for the hide.
Great hide, found with TajBentley, needed to improvise once at GZ but managed to sign the log. TFTC
I was distracted by the Wow view from this point however once I began looking the cache was spotted quite quickly. Very nice...... TFTC
Nice quiet afternoon after work and continuing my quest for the 31 day challenge. Took the geodaughter for the search here and was found after a brief search. Lucky i brought some tools with me as i hadn't read previous logs to know what was reqd. This was a clever hide which was a bit out of the ordinary and so i award you a favorite. Well done. Tftc
We had just finished attending a tree-planting CITO down on the banks of the Yarrowee Creek Reserve, just below the lookout, so it was a no-brainer to look for this cache on the way out. After a short search, this very clever and well constructed hide was spotted. TFTC stashaa.
Find #1038 for me. Today was a typically cold, wet winter's day in Ballarat but even more so at this particular location. After getting out of the car on top of the hill, the howling wind hit me straight away and it was seriously freezing, but what a great location! Despite the cold, I took photos of the view from several different angles before making my way to GZ. I looked around unsuccessfully for a couple of minutes before reading some of the previous logs. Ah, a clever hide? Yep - gotcha! Luckily I had the perfect tool with me today, otherwise I doubt I could have added my signature to the log. Even with the tool it was difficult, but yes - very, very clever! By the time I got back to the car my fingers were almost numb but well worth it. A definite favorite point from me both for the cache construction and the location! Thanks for this cache stashaa!
A clever hide. Lots of noxious weeds here that have recently been poisoned. Very spiky
Thanks
Thanks
After a full day at Sovereign Hill we came back to our weekend rental for an hour before heading out for dinner and then back to Sov Hill for the night show. While everyone else was happy to just get back to the house and have an hour to relax, I decided I'd fill in my hour by finding the nearest caches.
As I arrived a whole pile of bunnies scarpered into the nearby bushes. I didn't see any sign of them after that. I took in the view before looking for the cache but I was expecting to see a lovely view of a wide flowing river. It looks quite dry here and there's not much of a river to view. Luckily, due to spot on coords, the cache was in the first place I looked. And what a neat little cache it was!! I've not seen anything like this before and for that (as well as the seemless construction and fit with its environment) I am giving it a fave point.

Happened to be nearby and thought I would see if there were any nearby caches in the area. Sure enough after a short drive I was at GZ. The coordinates brought me straight to where I needed to be, but I was wandering around confused for a while before I finally had one of those ah ha moments. Log signed and returned. Impressed with the camo I am giving this a FP.
Good to see that this one is up and running again. Very interesting hide, great camo. Cigc. Tftc
Found by the Geowife. A great hide but it was very hard to extract. Was afraid of damaging in, but in the end it came out ok. TFTC
Out for a lunch break...went for a couple of quick caches.... This was a great hide, love it when caches are outside the box.
Thanks

With a day off from working the weekend and a leave pass granted, all that was left for me to do, was pack up the geo vehicle with supplies including the 2 wheel manual vehicle and I was off at the crack of dawn. My day started at 5:30am and finished 225+ kilometres later at 5:30pm. 60+ caches found for the day and a few DNF's.
I had finished my mission along the Rail Trail and now it was time to make my way around Ballarat. This was soon spotted after a few moments, very tough to get out, must have swelled a little. Not much water around at the moment, very dry. Stamped returned as found.
[blue]Thanks for this trad cache, stashaa. A favourite from me[^]
