Nice quick find. This would have been a perfect spot for hikers to bunker down in yesterday's thunder storm.
The Heysen trail passes thru here. Cache location might disturb some campers inside the hut. Tftc
This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 19-7-2024TFTC. Very tricky with no internet.
Stopped to look at this hut on the way from Flinders Ranges to Marree. This hut would be a blessing for hikers caught out in bad weather
Four nights in the Flinders Range NP and teh souroundings. So mch to do and see. We stoppt at some Geocaches. This is one we are able to log a found. Thank you for the cache.
We're staying at Rawnsley Park Station for a few days and are enjoying the tracks, views and caches around the area.A quick find on the Bunyeroo Valley Scenic Drive. TFTC
Cool hut! We seem to have the park to ourselves today. We've seen exactly 2 vehicles since we left Wilpena Pound. Here on a road trip with tessa-bella and kiwisteve2. We've already done the Ballarat Geotour and the Great Leap Forward Mega event. Now is the time to explore the Ranges.TFTC
Found it! Took us a few minutes even after looking at the hint. When we found it we realized we should have looked there much sooner than we did! #428 TFTC!
A day drive from Whyalla with family through the Flinders on a cool Spring day. A picnic lunch up here, enjoying the views and wildlife - a great way to take a break from a busy work life. Thanks the reason to spot here and see the sights. TFTC
Mr Unssy has walked a fair bit of the Heysen trail with friends. He stayed in this hut in about 2014. He noted the addition of the furniture up grade.Another beautiful spot in the Flinders
Some people drive here but we hiked 28km from Aroona on the Heysen Trail so the terrain rating doesn’t reflect our effort on this one!
Highlights of the day were birds galore with wedge-tailed eagles, emus, major Mitchell cockatoos, galahs, crows, zebra finches, peaceful doves, parrots, magpie larks and cuckoo shrikes.
Beautiful landscapes all day. Shoes barely lasting with detaching soles letting in water early and giving some tender blisters. Still smiling ear-to-ear though as this is special country.
Came across a friendly parkie who showed us the little 1080 biotoxin mini sausage baits he was throwing out the window intermittently targeting referral cats, foxes and dogs.
At the Yangoona Hut, met three hikers attempting the entire route having allocated 3 months. They had a campfire going with gear strewn to dry out. As they were occupying the hut I politely explained my geocache intentions to allay any potential suspicion. Showed them your neat little hide and explained the geocaching craft while signing the log - they were fascinated and diss appointed as having to reception to sign up to play the great game.
TFTC and the hint which helped seal the deal, Freddo Skywalker!!!

A short stop here, cache found and is all good.
With a few days off work I decided to head north for a night to the Flinders Ranges, and attempt to find SAs longest unfound traditional cache and Mount Abrupt plus what ever I had time for in the area. A beautiful part of the world up here.
Thanks for the cache

This hut made me laugh out loud the council procedures for the emergency exit and layout and the smoke alarm and the two extinguishes one of them for electrical fires just made me laugh thanks for being here
Stopped here for lunch along the scenic drive and made good use of the platform to cook out lunch. Cute hut. Tftc
Staying in Blinman for a few days with Mattycat and PerfectD we spent the morning in the mines before hitting the road to explore the area, a quick find for us today, cache was found in great condition

A great find to finish our 4 days hiking bits of the Heysen trail. TFTC.
Decided to do a little geocaching on our holiday in the Flinders and surrounds. TFTC
Took some time off work to venture into the Flinders Ranges with (VENOM), we're camping nearby at Wilpena Pound and exploring the area. TFTC
I always find it a lilttle eerie when old sleeping gear is found in places like this - makes you wonder what happened to the owner for it to be left behind... Interesting place to stop, the rest of the family decided to stay in the car so I had a few moments of peace and quiet whilst I searched. TFTC.

Found whilst on a scenic drive this afternoon to try and beat the heat ( it got to 37 degrees). Just after seeing this hut we saw a lone hiker braving the heat, I wonder if he’ll take shelter in the hut for a while. The Flinders ranges are absolutely stunning. Tftc
We always enjoy the Bunyeroo drive, even better if a cache or two is included. Met a couple of long distance hikers there from the ACT. Big backpacks and crazy distances. Located the container once the coast was clear. Great spot. Tftc
A long weekend away with sir_spectre in the Flinders Ranges. We had each been here before and strangely had few double ups so some revisiting was in order to try to get our maps similar. The weather threw everything at us but we just made our plans suit the conditions. Lots of 4WD and walks included.
Thanks to Freddo from mogni

Stopped by to check out the hut and found a cache.. and a couple of Heysen Trail hikers. TFTC.
We took the house on wheels to the Flinders with a week at Arkaroola. A fantastic time was had. Great exploring, brilliant remote scenery, and even a few caches found along the way. We love the diversity of the Flinders Ranges. We met up with TeamAstro for part of the trip. We travelled in all the different directions from our campground base at Arkaroola. More than once for some. And we had some great stops along the way to Arkaroola and on the way back south. We loved this spot. And two caches as well. And unlike some other cachers who visited the region recently we kept our tyres intact ??TFTC
Came and stayed in the campground at Willow Springs Station for 5 nights with friends...
We had visited Brachina Gorge today and ventured here at sunset before heading back to camp...
Needed some light to find the cache, signed & placed back as found...

Found while enjoying a short stayat Willow Springs. This was a quick find as the day was warming up. TFTC
Stopped for a picnic lunch while enjoying a drive through the gorge
Enjoying a few days in the Flinders. Unfortunately, Mr Frog twisted his ankle on our first day of our holiday and is on crutches, so we aren't going on any walks just enjoying the many great drives.

First stop on a drive through Bunyeroo. Sun out but cold wind when we got here. No one camping in the hut today.
Always interesting to find places like this. Would be a welcome shelter on a cold and windy night. Cache found thanks to the hint.
Quick find while passing through with Poelypoel on our post COVID isolation Flinders and Gammons Tour.
Fantastic spot that we loved exploring.
Cache discovered in a good condition.

As our campervan would get through these gravel roads here, we hired a 4WD to make theses scenic drives in the Flinders Range.
Our frist stop was at Yanyanna's Hutt; thanks to the hint, we were able to locate the cache without any bigger problems.
Regards from Switzerland.

Took a bit of searching before coming up trumps with this one but we found it eventually.

There were quite a few places to hide the cache so I ended up peeking at the hint to narrow the search and it certainly narrowed the search although I needed to use a nearby rickety gadget to elevate my stature to the required altitude! The cache was found, logbook signed and we were again on a way with our sightseeing tour.

Stopping For a couple of days in the Flinders Ranges and grabbing a cache if/when we notice one nearby.
Csaba! grabbed this one first as he was closer to the front of the conga line of walkers. I was close behind and signed it before it was replaced. About 40 kilometres closer to the end from where we started near Black Gap. A few more days and we'll have completed the Heysen!
Thanks Freddo Skywalker and may the Force be With You

In and around the area with SupaOrange and SupaTurtle. Finding some Traditionals and collecting info for Earth caches. Thanks for making me stop here.
Found when navigating the beautiful gorges of the Flinders Ranges. Walking more of the Heysen trail is on our bucket list so it was good to see this little but waiting for us. TFTC
Wow, what a drive through Bunyeroo and Brachina gorge. Love the scenery and the geological formations. Thanks for the cache.
