An impromptu all night affair with no muggles, no traffic and all the parking we could want! Set off with ApacheD & Davidsonclan around 7pm with a couple of sneaky Tauranga caches before starting the 'Hamilton Assault' It was a productive 10 hours in spite of the weather & DNFs. Signed our logs as PAD to save time and log space.
Not here though - A DNF for us. Found plenty of hinted trees and unfortunately no cache. Next time aye, cheers ssmudge.

Interesting coloured stream. Wouldn't do this one at night and some interesting people about.
Great area...no muggles so we took our time to soak in all the beautifulness. No TB here. TFTC
Found during an early morning caching foray in Hamilton not far from where we were staying for the night. Last cache for the morning before heading back for breakfast! Thanks for the cache ssmudge!
I know this week park well from when I was knee high to a grasshopper good to see the stream is still full of humate (the rusty brown stuff that's naturally come from the soil)

Convinced KathyKaches to take a day off work and come caching with me...we spent the day collecting caches while driving from Tauranga to Hamilton (and stopping for coffees and treats along the way of course).
That water! Slightly horrifying :O Nice find here however not a trackable in sight. Thanks for the cache

A nice green area with beautiful trees and a lovely walk to the cache - apart from that water of course. Tftc
After a short search, the cache was standing out like a sore thumb. As was mentioned by a PF, there was no log, so I tore off a slip of paper and left it in the cache. Left: CacheCat Geocoin. TFTC.
Found this cache with angelqueen20.
Looked in container there is no log so haven't been able to log our visit tftc

Found this with jordanfriv12 it was on the ground it had obviously fallen on from wherever it placed we so left it near where we found it but up a bit higher.
Plenty of evidence of searching going on. Wondered if the fallen tree had affected GZ when I couldn't find quickly. Had a read of logs & realised it was found yesterday, so I was probably having an off moment. Cutty grass, bugs, and jumpy phone GPS forced the decision to bug out on this one. Will return another day...
#11172. A nice bit of parkland even if the stream is rather muddy (we've lived in Wellington and Nelson for the last few years, and the water quality in those areas is pretty good). This find got us to 30 for the day, and it was time to head back to our accommodation. TFTC.
With a good weather forecast for the area and a long weekend starting tonight, we thought we'd better have a trip to Raglan today rather than face the probable hordes during the next few days. Our return trip was via the Bridal Veil Falls with some "Are we there yet?" caches thrown in.
We wanted to finish on a nice round 30 cache finds for the day, so stopped off to find a few more caches en route to home base. This was #30 and after a little thrashing around in the undergrowth, we located the cache. That's one muddy and unappealing stream. TFTC.

Cool cache, lived near hear for ages before being introduced to this hobby. Funny what you don't know. Logbook was damp, surprising seeing as its in a bag inside a container. Dry enough to sign though. TFTC.
This cache took a while as caching with my phone which isn't that accurate. Walked past the first time as was thinking where would one ride a bike through here. Pleased to eventually find this. Log was damp. TFTC
Nice easy find thanks.
Was keen to find a stream in the city ...Baby cutty grass plants no prob ! Spotted container easily.
Thanks ssmudge

Hmm didn't really match the hint. Log book drenched and mouldy. Cool little area round here tftc
The end of 2015 saw us take on a big couple of days of caching. At the beginning of the year, we set a goal of reaching 4000
caches by the end of the year. Towards the end of 2015, it wasn't looking too promising as geocaching got put a bit on the backburner for us as life and things happened. Come two days to the end of 2015 and we realised we were much closer than we realised, so set off to Hamilton for some binge caching to reach that milestone! Today was a day with a lot of more DNFs than expected and less numbers than we wanted, but regardless, it still brought us that little bit closer to our goal.
No problems with this find here. Container was retrieved and replaced swiftly before we moved on. Thanks for the hide!

Cleaned up the cache, disposed of the sodden/soiled trades, left new zip lock bag for the log book; TFTC.
Awesome day for a bike ride to collect a couple of caches. A part of town we hadn't been in Thanks. Took TB.
Took my daughter for the first time, she wasn't really into it at first but then she found the cache and there was something she really liked inside and she enjoyed it
Tftc. Nice quiet spot. The park could do with some picnic tables so people would take advantage of the area more.
How weird is it that there's a little stream flowing fight through the community? I never knew. Didn't take too long to find, but I thought the camo wrapping on the container was cool. Thanks
This was actually the third time that I have attempted to find this cache, and turns out, third time lucky! Love the camo-covered case, and it's a very scenic location as well!
My students had Technology (Manual) this week. I had a bit of free time to look at some more Waikato puzzles. I now have lots of scraps of paper with coordinates scrawled on them. Decided to action some today or run the risk of losing the papers. Also collecting Traditionals along the way...
This cache was a quick find. The coordinates were accurate enough, but the cache was also quite visible despite the camouflage. Replaced as found. TFTC.

Parked the campervan for an overnight stay at the Classics Museum. Great for having an evening walk and picking up this cache.
The hint is depending from which side you approach the cache
Still nice and good hidden.

Well the first time I ended up on the wrong side of the stream, which meant a long trip so I came back today and found the cache easily. Thanks for the cache.
Nice couple of hours walk around some local caches today on a beautiful cold spring day. Tried going in here from Aberdeen Dr and Walker Tce, can't get to cache from there, had to go in from Aberfoyle, nice easy find once I got there. TFTC
Out with Becsicasa, quick grab after GPS had settled down. TFTC and Day 30 Complete.
It was a lovely spot this afternoon. Enjoyed watching a flotilla of Monarch butterflies flittering around while we waited for some local school students to leave. New logbook and cache all fresh and clean thank you. Added a small swap to the treasure trove.

Cache is missing. The tree it was hidden in has changed somewhat so I will find a new spot shortly.
DNF for this today despite a muggle free search and a chunk out of PP's arm to show for it!
Found in the last school holidays with the kids. A few cache's close by made for a fun morning.
