Today we drove from Hanmer Springs to Kaikoura. We enjoyed the different landscapes and stopped to look for one or two caches. They were all in good condition. At the coast the Wind was really strong. The path to see the seals was great and the way back we had great view.We find the cache and signed our names.Many thanks to all the owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi

Caching with taybee nz on our way through kaikora from peggioh. Been a great day so far. Beautiful view out here, a nice way to end the trip
Found while out on a walk while stopping through Kaikura on our way up to Picton to catch the ferry to Wellington. Cache was in great shape. Ink in my pen was dying so did my best to sign. Also retrieved a friendly moose travel bug. Thanks for the cache!
On a road trip with Net61 exploring Kaikoura and finding as many caches as we can. Lovely views from up here and we were so lucky to have the place to ourselves today. Nice quick find here of the well camouflaged cache. We dropped off a TB. TFTC

# 21530Whau, I am on a three week trip with Cacher-Reisen and a bunch of fellow geocachers to Australia and New Zealand. It is so odd to imagine that I am going to visit a place that is nearly on the opposite of the globe from my usual hangouts. In Denmark it is late winter/early spring, and I am exchanging the winter-part for late summer in Australia and early autumn in New Zealand. This is so exciting.The itinerary is Frankfurt (Germany), Doha (Qatar), Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns (Australia) and Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Cromwell, Queenstown (New Zealand) before flying back to Europe. That will be two new continents and three new countries for me - and as far away from home as I have ever been. It is a lot of places and travelling, but we also have a plan to find lots of geocaches and see the sights and beautiful nature.This day we are travelling from Blenheim to Christchurch with a small detour to Kaioura to hopefully se some seals. I didn't quite succeed with that, but instead I saw a small group of lamas being paraded on the sidewalk. We were travelling along the eastern coast of New Zealand along State Highway 1, and we could se the difference of the nature on both sidse of the bus - Ocean and mountains. Denmark also has a lot of coastline, but we are a bit more protected from the Northsea because of Great Britain about 600 km to the west. Down here in the South Pacific there isn't much to give shelter from the East.We didn't see any seals at the south bay lookout and we had another chance here. I still didn't see any seals, but some of my fellow travellers had more luck. However, at least all of us could find the cache and the EarthCache.Tak for cachen til bumandworker.

Found this cache on a 24-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar.In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder.In Australia we will visit the citys of Sydney, Melbourne, Aidelaide and Cairns. Our stays in New Zealand will be in Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.For me the focus will be on old caches, placed in 2000 and obviously on the remaining webcams in Australia and New Zealand.We are a group of 38 Geocachers from Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg. At geocaches that we visit as a group, we sign the logbooks with our team-name "Team DownUnder24" to safe the owners a lot of space in the Logbooks.Next day of the Bus Tour. Aber auch natrlich ganz besonders die Geocaches, die zu Fu vom Hotel aus gut erreichbar waren.Natrlich wurde stand aber nicht nur das Geocaching im Mittelpunkt, sondern auch die Sehenswrdigkeiten der einzelnen Stationen, die wir besuchten, verdienten ihre Aufmerksamkeit.In die Logbcher trugen wir uns mit unserem Teamnamen "Downunder 2024" ein, Logbuchplatz sparend und effizient.Es war eine ganz besondere Reise im groen Team, das auch sehr viel Spa gemacht hat.Heute ging es mit dem Bus von Blenheim weiter nach Christchurch.Danke fr diesen Geocache. Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna.To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well.This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Darber haben wir es aber nicht versumt, vielen besonderen Sehenswrdigkeiten einen Besuch abzustatten und uns von der Natur und deren Flora und Fauna einen mglichst umfassenden Eindruck zu verschaffen.Um die Logbcher zu schonen, haben wir uns dort meist mit unserem Teamnamen **Downunder24** eingetragen. Bei "besonderen" Dosen haben wir es uns aber auch nicht nehmen lassen, zustzlich unseren Nicknamen zu hinterlassen.Auch dieser schne Cache zhlt jetzt zu unseren Funden.Aufgrund der groen Anzahl der besuchten Caches ist es uns leider nicht mglich, zu jeder Dose einen individuellen Log zu verfassen, weshalb wir uns bei den Ownern fr diesen Sammellog entschuldigen wollen.Auf einigen Events haben wir auch andere Cacher kennengelernt und konnten unsere Erfahrungen austauschen. Together with 37 Cachers, we start a journey to Australia and New Zealand via Doha.In Qatar we spent one night and had almost one full day before heading to Sydney.In Australia we visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns. Found this cache on a 21-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar.In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder.In Australia we will visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Cairns. After arriving in New Zealand we (Team DownUnder24) dicovered the very beautiful island by looking for some caches. ??"Above Seal City (Canterbury)" was one of them and we could find it. All was in good condition. We enjoyed our visit. ??Thanks bumandworker and greetings from Germany ???? ??

Fifth day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.Today we continued our journey by bus from Blenheim to Christchurch along the coast. The bus stopped in Kaikoura so that we could see and photograph the seals up close. Supposedly we were guaranteed to see some here. Well, I can't confirm that and we were accordingly disappointed! On the way here, we saw hundreds of them sunbathing on the rocks. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to stop there. At least we were able to find a few caches, so the stop was not in vain. There were a few tradis here that we were able to find. The small logbooks were signed with our team abbreviation DownUnder24 to save space. We signed the larger ones individually. Es scheiterte in der Vergangenheit immer an einem fehlenden Reisebegleiter. Jetzt gab es die Chance mich einer groen Gruppe von berwiegend deutschen Geocachern anzuschlieen und ich ergriff sie mit Freuden. Nach einem Stop over in Katar und 8 Tagen in Australien ging unsere Reise weiter von Auckland nach Queenstown mit diversen Zwischenstopps.Heute ging unsere Fahrt mit dem Bus weiter von Blenheim nach Christchurch immer an der Kste entlang. In Kaikoura stoppte der Bus, damit wir die Seelwen aus der Nhe betrachten und fotografieren knnen. Angeblich wrden wir hier garantiert welche sehen. Na ja, das kann ich nicht besttigen und wir waren dementsprechend enttuscht! Auf der Herfahrt haben wir hunderte auf den Felsen gesehen, die sich sonnten. Leider war es dort nicht mglich zu halten. Wenigstens ein paar Caches konnten wir finden, so war der Stopp nicht umsonst. Ein paar Tradis gab es hier, die wir finden konnten. Die kleinen Logbcher wurden mit unserem Teamkrzel DownUnder24 signierten, um Platz zu sparen. In die Greren haben wir uns einzeln eingetragen. Danke fr das Legen & Pflegen .

Wir sind eine etwas grssere Geocachergruppe die von Frankfurt ber Doha nach Australien und jetzt in Neuseeland gelandet sind. Heute geht unsere Reise mit dem Bus von Blenheim nach Christchurch. Dort haben wir einiges an Dosen, Virtuelle und Earth ausgewhlt, gesucht und geloggt, sowie auch die letzte webcam aus NZ. Dieser hier war ein Teil von unseren Entdeckungen und Erlebnissen. A summertime trip to the South Island, what could be better. Day five, and having flown to Christchurch and then driven to Timaru on day one, and cached around Timaru on day two, and back up to Christchurch to see a band play on day three, and then up to Kaikoura to see the same band play again on day four, it was time to chill out and check out the town. Along the way I'll be looking for Geocaches, and here's one I found. All good here. --- Thanks to bumandworker for placing and maintaining this cache.
