The Great Geocaching Grand Tour of New Zealand Cemeteries rolls on! Out with rattll for the daily cache on a fine evening after work. She needed a puzzle today, so we targeted the final for one nearby, that I'd already found. Afterwards, we came along here so that I could get this one. A very peaceful spot, I was glad that it was a quick find as per the hint. All well in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Log was waterlogged so we replaced it and put into a plastic zip lock bag. TFTC
I have a couple of relatives here, so figured I'd combine the visit with grabbing a cache. Actually this is pretty close to one of them.No problems making the find here, in a nice quiet spot. Thanks for putting it here
After a DNF (by muggle) last December, I was keen to avenge and so today, once the rain had stopped, I took an afternoon's caching trip out to take a fresh look.It turns out that last year's muggle would not have caused me any bother as they were not sitting at the GZ, but hindsight's a wonderful thing.A quick find once I let my GPS do it's thing. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan#5032
This was second time visiting the area and searching for the cache. Cant believe I missed it last time but quickly spotted it today. Took a moment to remember some of those who rest here. Tftc
After about 30 minutes of wondering around not realizing we are on the wrong seat we finally found it. Thanks heaps
Out on a little caching jaunt, picking off some of the caches on the east-side of town.I'm working with a old, spare phone at the moment while my proper one is being repaired. This means resorting to the official GC app, which I soon realised how much I don't miss An elderly lady was sitting at the GZ and, as she was on more 'official' business here than I was, I left her to it without a search.
Able to get this one quickly but quietly. A few people around today but not too close to the cache. TFTC
Quick find here while looking at the box with the pages of names in it. Cool design. TFTC
Found it. Smells a bit rotten. Seems that the paper could degrade. Maybe a good idea to replace the container and the paper
Headed into the cemetery from the nearby walking track when we couldn’t find the cache there (along the walking track), primarily because we had no phone reception and couldn’t bring up the hint or any other helpful information. Close to GZ for this cache I still didn’t have reception (2 Degrees) and decided to flag it because there were too many potential hiding places for a cache. About 150m towards the road I regained reception and decided to head back to this one. Initially looked under the wrong hint object. Spotted another hint object nearby (almost hidden from view) and headed there. At that point the cache was a quick find, although all up it had taken quite a while! #5667. TFTC.
Unexpected day of geocaching which took us to the cemetery, we actually found mr Gogoguises grandmothers plot. She passed away 5yrs ago tomorrow.
Out for a bike ride along here this afternoon, nice and quiet today allowing for a quick find, cheers
Visited this location during "Waikato Trip *" with Aiden29 , RustyNZ and Gorby.
Straightforward find!

I was invited on a road trip to join tramyard to travel down to the Waikato. We then extended the invitation to Gorby and rustynz. The plan was to go from Auckland down to Raglan, then to Hamilton Gardens, Matamata, and finally Te Aroha before heading back to Auckland. We were targeting virtuals, adventure labs and mysteries.
Google Maps sent us to the most direct route for a nearby puzzle final, but once in the cemetery, we realised that we wouldn't be able to gain access to where we needed to be. However, we were so close to this cache that we couldn't not find the cache.

With gorby, Tramyard and Aiden29 on a busy road adventure around the Waikato
Gorby has a personal connection to the area with his Grandma buried near!
Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for the hide, we have found a few of your caches today!

Leaving Hamilton after a brief stay in a nearby AirBnB, we decided to check for a local cache on our way out of town. This is a beautiful spot, and we're sure it serves as a peaceful space for people to remember their loved ones. There were a few pesky wasps near the GZ, but not many, so Mr Taylana made a quick retrieval. TFTC
When having a sit down talking to my loved ones .i had a look to see what was close .right underneath me .Thank you for making me smile xxx
Catching up on logging...
New Year and the first find for 2022. Lets see what this year may bring... A quick cache to see in the year and a souvenir to boot. All good here, TFTC!

Even used a stick To clear the old cobwebs could t find it sorry. Is it still there?
No luck finding it. Lots of great hiding spots but nothing. We will come back again for another explore in summer.
I have a plan today to visit Hamilton Cemetery to suss out a plaque for my grandmother then visit Mike-miss in their new home south of Morrinsville. These guys shifted from Auckland a few months ago and I have been invited to lunch…nice! Also, need a few caches to start of the new Science of Discovery souvenirs that came into effect 2 days ago.
Right... I'm here at the cemetery to organise a plaque for Grandma, she died in 1986 and for the life of me I can't work out why my family or me haven't done a plaque when she actually died. So once this business was done, I looked for this cache. Took me a few minutes as I was searching the big container that held the pages, looked across and saw something much more appropriate to have a cache on and found it soon after that. Someone had left a calling card in the container, it could be appropriate, but it was taking up far too much room in the small cache, so I got rid of it. Great place to have a cache I think.

Great day out adventuring in the Waikato. Peaceful spot indeed. Took a bit of hunting whilst maintaining respect, but quickly had it in hand. Thanks!
#964 - Mission over to Waikato for a day out, collecting a few caches along the way.
What a beautiful place . After a bit of a look around we soon had it in hand.

Been a day of doing adventure labs in Hamilton. Was a good day out. Grab this one on the way home. Interesting spot for a cache. Not in a bad way. Tftc
Had a lovely wak through Newstead Walkway this morning and managed to find the three caches within. Peaceful resting place, thank you for placing these caches here, was happy to find all 3. Glad to be back in the caching game
Found it after searching the wrong object. Nice quite area! Thank for hiding and maintaining!
Thanks for replacing the cache. Yes it was one of the places I looked last time. Nice quick find this time. TFTC
Sounds like the magnet has failed when reading past logs. Not in any of the usual cache hiding places we looked at
We wandered through to the cemetery from the Newstead Walkway. Although it was some way from the coordinates, we were checking out a possible hiding place, when we noticed the cache nearby, hanging just and no more from its hiding place. The magnet seems to be failing, as the first time we replaced it, it immediately fell off, but a second attempt was more successful. However, for us the cache was 14 metres east of the coordinates, at S37 46.597 E175 21.397. TFTC
Bennett24 and I were in the area for a couple of other caches so took the short detour here to find this one. This has to be one of the most nicely maintained cemeteries I have ever seen, the gardens make for a beautiful resting spot for many loved ones.
Got to GZ and decided that zeroing in with the GPS was unlikely to be needed given the likely hiding spots and was fortunate to make the retrieval with the first reach to get it. All good here, and thanks for the cache.

Parked quire close to here to grab a couple of caches so thought we would grab it while here. Tuolei picked the placement correctly and put his hand on the cache with the very first reach. TFTC.
The Freezer Mice strike again!
Out with the smaller members of TFM today, so a few easy find caches were just what we were after.
A quick find, And noted that the lid for this cache has completely gone (the placement means it will still remain waterproof).

We are travelling to Rotorua this morning, but stopped off 'on the way' to pick up a few more caches. This one was found in a likely place but a few metres from where our gps was pointing. Nice spot to reflect, thanks.
In Hamilton collecting a few puzzles with Philip.Perry that have been on our list for a while now in the rain today nice quick find here.

Out today clearing some areas and to turn into nice yellow smiles was nice to be accompanied by caching buddy NZ Flossy Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placement. Cheers Top of container broken.
With a break in the weather the only thing I really had to do today was geocache. I had no plans so enlisted TNXPro and Squirrelnutcase to search for a worthy adventure. What no one knew at the time was this adventure would span 21 hours, cover 3 regions and we'd have Davidson clan join us at the half way point. A crazy day but there's no denying - it's a lot more fun with friends!
This cache was a nice little park'n'grab and it was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers MCCC, TFTC

The weather was looking perfect for a caching trip, so myself, Philip.Perry and Squirrel.Nutcase joined forces and decided to hit the Waikato area to try clear Squirrels map.
Somehow ended up at the cemetery, which was extremely busy. Not a car park anywhere. We double parked and made the quick find and then a hasty exit as we felt a little out-of-place here.

I had no idea that there was a cemetery here but was drawn by the cluster of caches. This is a nicely laid out memorial gardens. Cache was quickly found but the lid has disappeared and the log book is wet. TFTC.
I know a few people in here so its nice to visit occasionally..nice and peaceful except for the mower man ...a few nice birds around today which adds to the atmosphere thanks for the cache
After an early mothers day visit in Te Aroha we thought we'd "detour" towards Hamilton for a few caches. Another resident was being driven in as we arrived - spooky really. Thanks for the placement McCutchen Cache Clan.
Today I had to go to a funeral in Hamilton. Following the funeral service we came to this particular grave yard for the burial and graveside service. After this had been completed, I took the opportunity to grab a cache while I was here. The individual who was buried today was someone who I often discussed geocaching with... and while she wasn't a geocacher herself, she was always quite intrigued by the idea and probably would have been into it if she hadn't been so sick for such a long time. Anyway, once at GZ, I initially struggled to get a lock on where the cache was... probably due to the heavy tree cover. But thanks to your hint I soon had the cache in hand, log book signed, and the cache is now nicely back in its spot all ready for the next hunter. So thank you McCutchan Cache Clan for taking the time to set up this cache in what is actually a very pleasant spot. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
