We are on a caravanning trip around Australia and after staying the night in Stenhouse Bay Campground we decided to do the thomson-phitzner trail and the historic walk. This one took a little bit of searching before I located it.Thanks for the hide
Watch your head when you grab this one.... nearly seeing cuckoo birds! Great hide. TFTC
That was a lot tougher than I expected. Think outside the square! I think it could definitely easily have more D stars allocated due to the obvious (in retrospect) red herring! TFTC Brad and Janet have hooked up the large geohouse on wheels and headed to the Yorke Peninsula. Being retired meant failure number 1 which was picking a long weekend when everything would be crowded.Failure number 2 was choosing a time that would be part of a serious multiple say heatwave over 40 C. Doh! Along the way site seeing was the main order of the day but the odd cache of opportunity snuck in too
Wow what a cute hide. A favorite for the hide and location. Super interesting history. Tftc
On a few days holiday at Marion bay with my tribe but not my geobuddy this time. TFTC
We explored the national park and its beautiful scenery on a rather warm day. What an amazing park- we loved it! We did many of the walks and 21 caches in total, with no DNFs. Yay! TFTC
Looked around the area for ages. Stood up in fireplace and almost got stuck. Ended up with a DNF and heaps of dust on us.
Would have looked for longer but had to go.

Did a quick check on your cache whilst doing maintenance on ours. Added new log sheet and left the pathtag found inside for the next person.
A beautiful day here today.

After an early start to the day in Edithburgh, we headed out on a coolish day with iluvtrekking to grab some finds in Innes NP and others a bit further afield. Thanks X-Trailers-Earthlight
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We set off early on a cold and cloudy morning with the threat of rain, which fortunately didn't eventuate. We enjoy the small towns, beaches, cliffs, history and ruins we encounter along the way. Thanks for your cache Earthlight and The X-Trailers.

Day 7 school holiday adventures in SA saw us hit up the national park. What an amazing place. We spent most of the day here finding random caches as we went. Easy find here. Loved the walk around the old village and all the history along the way. Thanks for the cache - fav added
Decided to head down the Yorke Peninsula as we hadn't been here before.
Drove to the bottom of the Peninsula and glad we did as the scenery is stunning
Stopped here and enjoyed the history as well
Cache was tricky and as such a fav from me

Substantial building interesting and spotted some local some emus.! Day 7 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its the first day it has not been more than a chilly brisk! The Innes National Park and it’s caches was high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’m out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s today and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
Hanging out in Innes Nat Park. Great camo!

Spent the past 2 nights at the Gatehouse Lodge. Had a great time in the Park and around the area. Thought we'd catch a few caches before we head back to Adelaide later today.
Found by the Aussie branch of Dobie's Pride. TFTC!
Did not have a pen or pencil with me so took a photo of the log instead.
A Fav. Point because of the great house and clue.

Tried but failed.
I had an idea where the cache could be, but it was after sunset when I arrived GZ, and many bugs/beetles scared me away. Decided to try it again next time.
Thanks.

Found at 1.00pm. An interesting place to wander around. Life must have been hard here in the day.
We had to abandon our first search due to large family groups exploring the area.
Found on our return to the car.
Great hide.
Thanks

The three of us were spending some time on Yorke Peninsula, and today we went for a drive around southern Yorke Peninsula.
Now that's a great hint and great hiding place for a cache.
We've not visited Inneston before so this was an interesting adventure.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache mollypix.

Day trip to Innes NP and the weather has fined up beautifully. Very interesting village, TFTC!
Stopped by for a short walk and find. This was one of the few caches left in Innes National Park that are still unfound by me. I was here a couple of weeks ago but we skipped this one because I knew I was coming back.
The place the cache was found was very clean considering...

Great cache, great location. We loved it so much that we have booked accommodation in one of the restored buildings for the June LWE! Thanks
This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, after participating in Edithburgh parkrun, I met gridge98 at Marion Bay, and we travelled through Innes National Park. We drove up to Browns Beach, and then made our way back visiting and hiking Royston Head, West Cape Lightstation, Ethel Beach, Cape Spencer Lighthouse, and the historic township of Inneston. With a few hours left before the Edithburgh dinner event, we separated and I decided to head north to visit a few Yorke Peninsula oldie geocaches. Following dinner, gridge98 and I walked from Edithburgh to Coobowie find the *Where Ancestors Walked By the Sea* series.
We walked around this old Inneston historic town, finding this cache as we passed through. This cache took us ages to find, probably 15-20 min of searching all around. We were getting ready to call this a DNF, when I decided to have one final search, all the while saying out loud that it has got to be here, got to be here... Well as it turns out, it was there, but just hidden very well. We both totally missed it in our searches. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Some really cool ruins that were quite photogenic. Thanks mollypix for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Really nice old building here. We stopped to find this cache and it took way too long to find and all from a simple mistake. Davidwazza got up and in and over looked GZ and so we widened our search looking in lots of locations after 15mins Davidwazza had another look and sure enough the cache was found
A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

Over from Melbourne, we’re staying in Marion Bay for a couple of nights after visiting relies in Adelaide. After a lovely morning at the beach, we set off to Innes National Park. This was the next cache we found as we slowly wound our way around the park, enjoying all the lovely views! We decided to do the Inneston Historical walk which was really good, but boy even on this 23deg day, it was hot in the sun! Lots of cool old buildings and a lovely lake to walk by made up for the heat though Our niece, we’ll call her SMelb, helped GMelb look for this cache, but he was the lucky one.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. This took some time. Great camo.
Finally got back to Inneston despite having been to Innes CP a few times since this cache was placed.
Went for a walk with geokids to see old Inneston.
A great experience and plenty to see.

We spent yesterday exploring Innes National Park, and naively thought we could cover it all in one day. We’re back here today to show everyone we were wrong! It’s such a wonderful place, full of fantastic views, history and wonderful bush walks. We did stop a few times yesterday to grab caches, and today we hope to finish off both the caches and the exploring as we need to move on tomorrow or we won’t be home when we need to be. Such a shame, but we have decided that we need to come back to the Yorke Peninsular and spend more time enjoying it.
Beautifully camoed to blend in with its surrounds. Mr Ski managed to recognise it in the end.
