As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Sigh... thwarted again... I had put the cache *in* the welcome sign leading out of the airport and the "workers" have come along and enclosed the sign in perspex... doh...
I will replace it again soon... i'm starting to think this cache is conspiring against me. In its life it has been muggled/destroyed 5 times so far.

Couldnn't find it today, there is no welcome to adelaide sign at the new posted coordinates. I searched every post of every sign around the coords with no luck & with the muggles & security forces from both Ikea & the airport walking around, I didn't especially want to hang around too long.
Hi All,
I've replaced this cache. It's now a micro...
The location has changed slightly too.
Be careful crossing the road (big clue).
New Hint: Welcome to Adelaide (you'll say 'duh' when you get there)...
If the coords are slightly wrong, I apologise in advance. Its new location is pretty obvious though, no GPS required really...
Cheers,
Alex

No luck for us either. Time for a new one maybe in a less 'sensitive' spot.
Had a bit of a scratch around all the trees within 15m but didn't come up with anything. I must admit I wasn't looking that hard after all the previous DNF's and because it was lunch time there were a few people around.
06/06/06/ Another cacher that was unsuccessful, spent about 10 mins looking and digging where every one else has been, will be back later with a long handled shovel. Left before the Federal Police arrive to question my odd behavior.
No Cheers from The Barramundi's

Had another good hunt around today. GPSr showed the same GZ. If this is a difficulty 1, I'd say it's gone. (I'll watch it and see)
I looked everywhere. I'm not brave enough to declare it lost, but this is the closest. I'm unsure if the clues or the GZ refer to the last location or the new one. I dug around all over the places where a dog would like to pee but nothing. My hands may need a wash! The rest of the clues were general or cryptic?
Have been to this area twice cant find it ....instead of going home grumpy went to IKEA instead...who by the way have great pencils that fit neatly into any cache. I know it sounds cheap but I had to make the best of a bad situation.
Took the dogs to assist with the "where would a dog pee" clue. Seemed impossible until we found it but once found it was embarressingly obvious! Left Kermit TNSL. Noted TB not there.
Yep, it's definitely still there. It took the GPS a few minutes to settle down and tell us the right spot, but when it did the cache was right there.
TN. Left: toy rodenty thing.
Cheers Team Canyonero.

Visiting ADL on business and was going to drop off a TB I brought from BNE.
Didn't find the Cache, but the clues gave me a preety good Idea where it was.
The area and all the gardens have been redone and no longer looks like it does on Google. May need to check it's still there after the gardens have been redone.
Lots of Muggles (and a guy very interested in the AQUIS building) meant I cut my search short....... just enough time to duck out to Bradmans Geocache (my backup) to leave TB in ADL before my flight back to BNE.
Cheers,
Arthur

Found by JackHenry 11/3/06 @ 13:55 TNLNSL GPS coordinates were off by about 15 metres but I left it where I found it.
Had a little flight delay at the new terminal, and the choice was either sitting in the Qantas Club... or grabbing a nearby cache. Guess which option I chose?
Parked in a nearby side street and walked to the area, feeling a bit nervous as all the muggles streamed in and out of the terminal. Lucky we could sit out of sight to log the find. Afterward we took a drive by tour of the new facility. very flash. TNLNSL. Dropped off Dr. Griz TB to help him in his race back to North Carolina. Thanks Team Canyonero.
Found it after a short search...our 50th cache find!!
thanks for another nice cache..I see that a few of the trees have been chipped..or so it seems

No wonder it keeps going missing; I could see the top from 20 m away!
I tried to conceal it a little better but given the number of muggles about I couldn't do much without attracting attention.

On Way home from work, stopped by to visit. Found easily, as was almost on the grass.
Left a patch, Took Trakmaster TB for a drive
Replaced cache where I think it should be, according to the hint. Would be a very busy area here on a normal work day?
Thanks

FTF the revised cache as missed out when it was in it's old location. Nice open spot to kick the footy around, as long as it dosn't land on the cars driving by.

Hi All,
Back online now. Note that as the sign has gone have used the "alternative" hiding spot... so don't think magnetic... think "if i were a dog, where would i pee"...
Also dropping off some TB's i've had for a while and forgot about... I wish them well on their journey. I think the Butter TB wants to go interstate, so near the airport is probably a good choice.
Oh, and its now a 1.2l container so if you find the old one, can you please dispose of it. I looked but couldn't find it.

Hi, yes it has bitten the dust *again*. Will go and retrieve the remains and re-cache...
stay tuned...

Got to GZ and there was nothing to be found. Being very frustrated we widened the search afraid it was sitting somewhere under the mount of wood chip or the cut down trees close by. However we did find the container without a lid, the log book was wet and a few swaps were strewned around nearby. We didn't have another container but we did put what was left in a zip lock bag and hid it as well as we could, and will email owner with the location.

Easy find, finally. after a few unsuccessful attempts, when it was in other locations, i got it.
Since i was in the area, on the way to harbor town with mum, thought it was a good oppertunity for a a few caches.
Quickly swipped, and carried out the deed, and disapeared again.

At 03.55h the traffic was starting increase, but nothing like it will be later when the new terminal tours start. Took - Nothing. Left - Blanket safety pin
We found this cache after a couple of attempts. Was difficult without cache notes. The cache was found on a trip to adelaide recently.

Seventh of eight finds for my last night in Adelaide. I found the cache easily at 2155. The Filbert Frequent Flyer Card TB was not there. From what I have seen of other cards in the series, it wouldn't have fitted in the cache anyway. Anyhow, I signed the log and replaced the cache. It will be interesting to see if this cache survives past October 2005. Thanks to Team Canyonero for the cache.
EDIT: I see now that Team Canyonero has noted that the TB went west after a clean up.

Our second attempt at this one. Less muggles around this time. Soon had it in our hot little hand. Left toy airport sign and Klem Bear and took nothing. Thanks Team Canyonero.
Found this one today after a quick search. Needed to time it well to avoid suspicion from all of the nearby traffic! We can't wait until all of the development near here is completed, especially Ikea!
TNLNSL, thanks!
TNLNSL, thanks!
this was an interesting little cache, found easily after looking at clues carefully. Did raise some interest from security muggles!
I briefly played in the flowers and then remembered the word "obvious". Found quickly after that. TNLNSL. Thanx.
This was our first cache for the day.
We have had little luck with this one in the past.
That bad luck held true because when we got to GZ there were a group of workmen fitting out the first floor of an office nearby.
Drove away muttering "I am never getting this one"
However I am pleased to say that when we passed by on our return journey all was quiet and after a short search we finally had the cache in hand.
Grabbed the TB Action Pengi
After 3 location changes we have finally completed this one.

Found with SteadyOn. Found quickly by one of the team while I was off rummaging around (fruitlessly) in the leaf litter. Hundreds off oblivious passerby's all rushing to get somewhere quickly. Cheers, FeatherWaite.
Found without too much trouble by an eagle eyed Mrs SteadyOn. Took stick-on eyes, left TB "Action Pengi" to Up Up and Away to other parts of the world.
Having seen a geocacher running for the bushes yesterday when I was going home from work I thought that I would find out what was going on. I didn't understand it as I have done all the the GC's in this area. i hadn't seen any new GC's pop up lately on either .com or .com.au. I had done this one before when it wasn't so burried.
A few minutes for a walk on night shift confirmed what I had suspected - there was a cache there. Hmm... Laughed my way back to the office and now I had to try and find out just which cache I had found!!!???? Followed some of the other cachers logs and this soon answered the question.

After completing GCHQ7B we decided to have a try at this as well as there was not much traffic around at this time of night. found a park, walked to GZ for a very quick find
Thanks Team Canyonero for the last cache of what has been a very wet Adelaide Day

Seeing as this one is pretty much on the way home from work I decided it was time to nab it. I did try once in it's first incarnation but I think that was about the time it got buried.
Easy find and nicely out of site of the passing peak hour traffic. TNLNSL, thanks Team Canyonero.

Finally got a chance to grab this one after dropping a friend off at the airport. Every time we planned to get it previously it was in the midst of relocation! Found pretty easily. No log in the container, weren't sure if there was supposed to be, we just signed the back of the geocaching sheet.
Hi All watching.
Relocated the relocated relocation... [:(!]
There seems to be so much activity at the original location I couldn't re-activate there. Location 2 is now a foundation for a building. The new location (no. 3) will only be until they finish the buildings so it may still get muggled.
The new improved location is a pretty obvious spot now... and don't tread on the flowers...
Happy hunting for now... [^]

Dont you just hate it when you havent update your waypoints in the last week.
We approached area to find it as others have reported. Being a public holiday we thought we would check out GZ. Tree at GZ had been ripped out and the hole filled in with a cement slurry.
Lacking cement breaking tools we decide to call this a no find.

Bugger it appears that the area that I relocated this cache to, to avoid the development is now under development.
I'll take it offline for now... I only hope the travel bug hasn't met an unfortunate end...

I coundn't find way in by road or by foot without jumping fence. There was a road that was close off due to development.
Tried other side and no road or obvious foot way in,will try again. terrortorian evidently walked to GZ but says in des. "only 1 (legal) way into this place via vehicle".
Very confusing.

I returned to this cache to see its new location and to drop off Filbert Frequent Flyer #9 after his aborted attempt to depart the country. Maybe this is a better launch point for the next atempt.
Had a good search around for this one, but no show.
Will return next week on the way out to melbourne

I put my hand in something decidedly disgusting while searching for this one , which as it turned out, had no need to, as it was pretty much in plain view. Does being the first to find in its new location count as a virgin? . TNLN Thanks Canyonero
This one is finally back online... PLEASE NOTE THE NEW LOCATION (SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT).
S 34 56.013
E 138 32.313
The new location is "temporary" though. I will put it back in it's orginal location at a later date.
Enjoy.

they are *still* doing work in this area so I think i'm going to replace and relocate it slightly.
More details to follow soon.

We dutifully followed our electronic directions, only to find the good folks at the Airport Corporation are trenching in a new gas main, and there was a good 5t of freshly dumped earth directly over where our GPSR said it would be. Anyone care to check this one as I must confess it is only our third cache, so we might have it wrong.
Going to temporarily disable this cache until they have finished digging holes.
Hopefully they haven't buried the cache or worse, backfilled the container into the trench.
I will keep an eye on this and if need be, relocate slightly so it is out of the way of the "works".

Thanks Team Canyonero, a not-so-hard cache to find - good for the family. In fact, about 20 - 30 metres away, still driving in the car I could see the 'emu nest' and thought ha ha, we've nailed this one ! Took frog, and as the log sheets were really low, we placed a new log book in for future cachers. Ta TC

Just a little time out from work with on of my collegues. Took the work GeoVan for a trip. Took nothing and left an Ansett fork that had to be bent to fit in the tin. Felt like a bird scratching for worms.
Didn't keep us looking too long, actually it stood out a little. (It doesn't any more).
Took electrical tape and butterfly. Left gucci imitation watch.
Cache is in good nick but the logbook is full.
Thanks guys

Found just before going dark. Took Helicopter and Left Lamb to have a feed. Thanks Team Canyonero..
I thought this area was too open when I drove up. Then I saw the problem. Spent 15 minutes hard looking. Got up to take a breather and nearly stumbled over the cache nowhere near where I would have looked. As I have found with other caches my GPSr seems to be out by about 8m out on many caches.
Woohoo - found at 12.30pm after an extensive search of the area. Took nothing, left mini bubbles, signed log. Cheers, RAV4Raiders
A bit lacking in contents so we stocked it up with cars and frogs and dinosours etc took the TB
Was glad to see that this one had not "flew the coup" so went out and braved the air police to track it down. Got it about noon and no one bothered me at all. Left a travel bug for the next person. Thanks for the nicce hide!!!!!!!
Third of four caches this afternoon (others being: Lamb or Veale?, Off The Wall & Sound Barrier)
Ok, this one had Mike (Team Raider) & myself looking for a while. Looks like the gardeners had dumped a large truck load of mulch and spread it out around the cache area with a front end loader. Great! - looked like we had a buried cache on our hands Not to mention Mike's GPSr insisted the cache laid directly under his geo-defender parked on the side of the road (yes, we even looked there )
After a quick phone call to Team Piggy to confirm we were indeed looking in the right area & a few more minutes if intense scratching & digging around the place (almost like looking for truffles - Piggy, where were you???) Mike finally came up with the goods.
Found 11/01/04 (11th January) @ 4:15pm by Paul (Team Stargazer)

(After finding Terminal Ummm 3, well..... Terminated! We headed for this close-by cache)
Ok, we were scratching our heads on this one for a while[?]. A truckload of mulch certainly had hidden the thing well. With a burried cache on our hands and a nice open area we figured this wouldnt be easy!
The GPSr insisted the cache was inside the Geo-Defender parked very close nearby!
We knew it *wasnt* in there so a quick call confirmed our suspicions that it was burried nearby (although Piggy wasnt sure exactly where).
After doing the "pig walk" (aka Truffle hunt)I finally came up with the goods. Still OK but much deeper in the mulch!
Took: Parks Radio sticker
Left: Helicopter (he was feeling homesick)

Good job we have got a very detailed base map on the Ipaq or we perhaps would have had trouble getting there.
We found it hidden nicely after getting to within 2 metres with the prado.

Found this cache at 1730 today. It feels like you're doing something wrong just being in this spot, but I don't think anyone saw me poking around.
Took Success magnet. Left Ceramic mask from Scary Cache.

Clues lead us astray a little on this one but the Jeckyls came to the rescue. Took a frog and left a magnet.
Found by David & Gwen at 1537. We took the piece of opal and left a frog, because it was starting to rain and frogs love the rain... No real dramas in finding it today, just very wary of any other cars around!
Thanks TC.
Thanks TC.
Once we thought we knew where it was we set off right on target. After a couple of low passes and a little loop we landed right on the spot, and bingo we found it. We took Tigger (Co's Tiggers love to Bounce) and left a piece of Opal.
Like the rest of the cachers, Tom, Emily and John felt a bit conscious of security as we were hunting for this one. A beautiful day so I guess all the security people were at the beach. No one, except metal birds and cars were seen. Emily took the 50c and replaced it with a Parkes dish sticker.
Clear skies (especially here)

Felt dodgy lurking in the bushed around an airport. Second ever cahce. Left a party whistle, took the liquid badge. Found 1 March 03. Thanks.

Had a good idea where this cache would be and managed to pull up right outside the general area. Was looking for about two minutes before security came over and wondered what I was doing. Peter knew what a GPS was, but had never heard of geocaching. Fortunately I was wearing my geocaching hat, and we proceeded to have a chat about what it was all about, while he noted the website, my numberplate and my name! With increased security at the airport recently, they can't take any chances - there are cameras everywhere, and people leaving their cars and wandering into trees look very suspicious! Would you believe it, Peter spotted the container from his truck and I brought it over to show him what was inside. He was happy to leave me to fill out the logbook, but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to leave this cache here now?
[last edit: 2/28/2003 6:54:37 AM PST]
The third & final find for the day. Had 4 adults and 4 kids scouting around the area to find it on our geocaching day out. Bianca selected the Chubba Chubb. Opened it up and proceeded to suck on it, while I went through the log book to establish just how long it was actually there. (3 months, ...OK) Left a couple of AA batteries to keep those GPS's running. Thanks Alex.
A lot of driving and swearing at each other but we founf it. Swapped the greenback for a sticky hand. Top stuff.
First cache of the day for me and 3 new friends.I'm on holliday from the US.What better way to see the sites.Took blue marbel, left US dollar.
Found at 11:03 with Mick.
Great location!
No swaps today. (I forgot my Cache Goodies)
Found by Mary & David at 1600. Felt as though all eyes were upon us here. An easy find. Considered leaving a TB, but reconsidered when we read the previous log. Took Port Lincoln thimble and left shampoo. Thanks to Team Canyonero.
As we were driving past this one, thought we'd drop in and pick up the travel bug, but it was no where to be seen.
Had an hour spare at the airport before my departure home to Canberra. So what better way to spend it than sneeking in one last cache. Only took 1/2 hour from the Qantas departure lounge - so had plenty of time to spare. - No swaps today.
