Unfortunately the rusty relic has been spirited away and therefore as there is no like relic to replace it I have decided to archive this cache. 
Didn't notice this one was diabled, but its been two months and no update. Definitely not there anymore..
Last weeks's storm has either buried the relic or carried it away. Will scratch head for replacement at gz or archive soon.
DNF on a Sunday afternoon geocaching mission in Raumati with Simpsonsrgr8 who had previously found the cache so pretty certain it is AWOL. TFTC

Had a very good hunt for this, found quite a few rusty things, but couldn't find the cache, or things alluded to in the hint. Wondering if recent tidal action has change the area a bit - there was certainly evidence of it. Cheers Gav
I'm embarrassed to say we couldn't even find the relic! We did find a very small rusty pipe relic, which looked as though it would be in danger from high seas.
Based on the cache description, I was expecting a relic that was of a substantial size. However, none was to be seen. There was a relic-sized gap in the ice plant cover of the sand at the back of the path, so maybe the relic got sick of being groped by cachers, and has gone to look for greener pastures.
Interesting spot and easy enough to find by the co-ords are off about 3mtrs to the north. Cache in good condition still. TFTC SL
The first find of the day with sfortyoner. Mrs sfortyoner spotted this before the rest of us. A cunning hide in a nice spot. Left a fish and took a toy soldier. TFTC
#543. A quick find at GZ, pretty quiet here today. SL, TFTC. -dice, -marble, +soldier, +chain.
Dad and his 3 boys had fun finding this cache. Awesome spot. Removed lego man, dice and monkey, replaced with badge. marble and a different dice.
Quick find at the end of the day. Beach busy even in the rain. Must be the heat.
Found while killing time ahead of nearby meeting. I always enjoy it along the coast here. TFTC

Can't quite remember exact day. FOund Cache. First one for me and Daughter. Swapped a pet rock (chicken) for a relic coin!
Gone are the days of stormy weather and cold windy days. Enjoying the warmer weather, the beach and some nice new caches in the Kapiti area. Absolutely fantastic. TFTC.
Found with Barri-Ster & Hugo the dog. Really nice area and cache located after a short bit of head scratching. SL TFTC
