Made the drive up here and pretty nice view here too. Cache is all good
Well what a day it was, a day filled with more downs than ups and but overall a few caches were found in and around port Lincoln. Davidwazza and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula for a weekend away to clean up as much as we could and collect a few new LGAs for Davidwazza. This morning 2nd cache in we ended up cracking the oil sump in the car and having to sort out what to do and how to fix the issue. Lucky a mechanic was at hand and a prolonged trip was soon scheduled and a hire car was in hand. I guess things happen when you use a car for things that it’s not made to do.
Other than that a great day out.
Thanks for the cache

This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
After having a successful day yesterday, we awoke with motivation and optimism for the day that was ahead of us. However after having our first geocache find, a rock had hit the vehicle's oil sump, leaving the car inoperable and requiring the car to be towed to a mechanic in Port Lincoln. The morning was then spent addressing the vehicle's repair plan, and then trying to salvage the remainder of our weekend's plans. We walked around the centre of Port Lincoln, before finding a hire vehicle for us, and then the afternoon was spent driving around the area. It was interesting seeing Port Lincoln's marinas and also caught glimpse of the shark cages. We ended up drowning our sorrows in the evening (whilst celebrating gridge98's birthday) at the craft brewery, which was probably a highlight of the day.
A really nice picturesque spot with nice views indeed. The cache was quick to find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wheres wolly for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

What a view is an understatement, this spot is FANTASTIC. Giving a FAV for bringing us here. Easy find TFTC
Perched a top a very steep hill is a cylindrical shaped geocache. We were delighted to find a metal 4 leaf clover that remains inside the geocache alongside other miscellaneous objects.
Found at 11:03 AM GAFF1.
Mt Lozza certainly has a great view - wonder if they ever get tired of it

Our second DAY IN Pt Lincoln and it was time to focus on caching in Lincoln itself and potential surrounds. It was a cold and grey day interspersed with rain, which was a bit of a downer when compared to the sunshine of the last few days. Despite this we were able to still able to make a good day of it, finding over 50 caches, though it was also a day of quality as well with some higher terrain caches as well. It was an enjoyable day as we were able to tick off some earmarked caches before we finally finished up at around seven.

Exploring the country side around Port Lincoln as part of our 4 day visit to the city. Lots of interesting roads to travel, views to see and caches to find. Thanks to the COs who have placed them for our enjoyment.
Found while staying in PL for a while Checking out the local area and picking up some smileys at the same time. Checked out the view as I signed the log. Very nice. TFTC.
Staying in Tumby Bay for a few days we set off finding the caches around here cleaning up a lot of unfounds from previous trips, the view was pretty spectacular and at what point do you test the brakes, on the way up or down lol. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 0911. Left Port Lincoln this morning, at the start of our long journey home. Cached our way north to Whyalla for the night. Absolutely gorgeous, even in the rain. Found after a brief search, and dropped off "Super Alma" TB. Our thanks to wheres wolly.
As we head from town to town as part of our "Purposeful Meander around Oz" the Rats and the Mini Rats found this cache.
What a great spot to take in the vista of the surrounding area.

[Teal] As we head from town to town as part of our "Purposeful Meander around Oz" the Rats and the Mini Rats found this cache. Dad did most of the hard work here and the detail of our find can be found in the Rats log. Sorry for the duplicate log but it takes nothing away from the find.
Thanks for showing us this spot on our trip.

Day twelve of my holidays, heading to Port Augusta from Port Lincoln. There were so many caches I could have done, but I just picked around 20 spread out along the route. second cache for the day and again it was a substitute. The planned cache had too many muggles passing by, so I chose this one. Found nice and easy and yes, it does have some great views.
My thanks to wheres wolly for the cache and the views.

Container it was sitting in was full of water, actual contents of container all good.
Miss GG and myself were on Mini camping Holiday in Port Lincoln and we decided to break up our drive around the area and grab some caches on the way.
We hand picked all the caches this time on our way over and the caches that we did in Port Lincoln as its quite over whelming arriving at a new location with so many caches.. at the end of the day we use caching to make the drive to a location more interesting and not to do every single cache in the town.. as that will be no holiday at all. Gotta leave some for the next trip right?
Please forgive us for a generic log, as we are logging days after doing these caches, We enjoy the challenge of every cache and we try to put custom comments on the ones we remember.
Today we spent a little more time around the city, visiting the wild life park and a bit of walking around the coast
Thanks for the cache WheresWolly
Until next time - First thing you know I'll be back in Bow River again

Staying at the Port Lincoln caravan park, while caching in the area.
After searching the area, the cache was finally located.
Container sun damaged. Replaced the container and replaced.

What a beautiful spot for a cache - the house is for sale! We must speak to the land agent about this!
Unfortunately though, the tree has been cut back & the cache could not be found.
We think this one is gone unfortunately.
Thanks anyway wheres wolly

This was my last stop on way to catch a plane back to Adelaide. Luckily for me I had saved the best for last. I drove across that dusty dirt 'short cut' road with windows open in the old car with no a/c and was VERY glad to get to this spot and suck in the cooling clean sea air. Stood awhile and took in the scenery and watched REX lazily fly in - then realised that was MY flight so I hightailed it down the hill (fun!) and back to reality. Enjoyed my weekend sneaking in a few more of Wolly's caches ??. I will be back. I will give a fave tick just for that peaceful view. TFTC
On our way to Coffin Bay, I pretty much passed up doing any caches on the way, or we’d never get there on time. This one however, looked like it’d be worth it, and as it was on the short cut we’d planned to take, I decided to stop and get it.
What magnificent views. The people who live at Mt Lozza have got a million $$ asset there [:o]. No swaps. Cheers.

The road was interesting towing a caravan, but we made it to the top. Unfortunately for us it was very windy, lightly raining and there was a lot f low cloud, so the view wasn't as good as it could have been. Thanks for this cache.
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Nice easy find on a night trip with Muffy and Co, Eswot and new Cacher Taff00.
Last cache for the day. Bit dark so used the torch - signed the log. Thanks wheres wolly.
