Stopped by this one earlier in the afternoon but businesses were still open nearby and spooked me outta grabbing it. I knew exactly where and what it was having seen this type of hide so many times but i wasn't gonna risk compromising the hide by being seen by Muggles.
It was about 15 minutes before tea [18:00 - 20:30] at the Sundowner, that i quickly decided to race off and grab it while i waited another 15 mins before tea and businesses were closed {Small window there i tells ya' as my growling stomach objected, lol}
A quick find and sign at 17:53 on TGIF 26 April 2019 was made and i was on my way back to my 2nd Coopers Pale Ale Pint..... yeeeah!

Spotted this one as we pulled up. They certainly are easier to spot when you have found a few of them.
Nearly lost the door off the van here though - dammed wind!!!!
Thanks.

The aging adds to the authenticity of it. I dismissed it first time for this exact reason. Although having one of my own, I revisited and came up with the goods. TNLNSL

Easy find, first saw this style in Mt Gambier in 2007.
The cache type really should be listed as 'other'.
Starting show signs of wear and tear...
Spending a few days in Whyalla and found a few cache, or 300!
Had managed to solve all the puzzles before coming over too.
Of the nearly 300 found on the trip over and back from Adelaide, 95% were found within 50km of Whyalla Central, with approx a dozen dnfs also. Amongst all the finds was my 17000th find.
Also managed a lot of 'unloved' finds too.
What is it with Whyalla and mint tins? lol
TNLNSL
Thanks

Looked carefully but no luck.Muggle from FXD could now be a convert as he wanted to know what we were looking for and we hopefully enlightened him.
As I parked I looked up and I spotted the cache straight away.
232 days unloved.

Wow! Hubby's keen eyes found it! First time seeing this type of cache. Log is wet so didn't sign.
#6548 - 09:55; Day 8 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and albida33, so most logs were signed S.A.L. as a result. Caching in and around Whyalla today and along the roads into and out of town we collected 69 finds and 6 DNFs. We visited many places of interest today in our travels and most of our finds were in good condition. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC YeahRight80
Alice trip 2017. Day 6. With Sol de Lune and LuckL10n we spent today caching around Whyalla during a bit of s detour on our drive to Alice Springs. Heaps of caches with lots of DNFs we skipped but me managed a good day of caching. It was all quiet here today.
Thanks.

On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We headed through Burra and Port Pirie before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed. (Some logs were signed as S.A.L. to save space.)
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

A clever hide but one that I have seen several times. This one has seen better days.
Had a second take.....looked once...dismissed...........looked again and success. TFTC
Hi there Tempo 0.
We found your cache **"Heavy Industry 1"** at 11:46:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 15825).
We cached around the Whyalla area today. On our trek we found a wide variety of container types. & ended up finding 4 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Another great find while in the area on holiday today.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Soon had the container found and log signed.

Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache was in good condition. The log, however, was damp but still signable. Thanks for the cache Tempo 0.
Found by Mary & David at 0926. Did a few caches around Whyalla this morning, before caching our way south to Cowell. Very appropriate today, as there are excavators everywhere. Spotted a familiar kind of hide shortly after arriving at GZ. Some stealth needed, with muggles coming and going from the adjacent businesses. Our thanks to Tempo 0.
Back again I'm a little short one end but a run up and jump and it's mine thanks for the clue tempo!!!!
nice one. if We hadnt found one similar one at Melbourne before would have never guess this is the cash! Celever
Found with Team Waldron and The White Dog Gang as part of a three day jaunt over to the west coast. This cache added to around 200 caches found in a range of bush and city settings in Whyalla, Port Augusta, Iron Baron and lots of other places. TFTC.
Doing a Whyalla & surrounding area run with Team Waldron & Trail 06.
This was one of the many we found.
Cool spot, thanks for bringing us here

Parked nearby to log a puzzle cache so grabbed this one at the same time. Thanks for the hide.
Couldn't find it after about 30 minutes of searching. I'm sure I looked quite strange to muggles driving by. Kind of looked like I was going from tree to tree, admiring it as if it were art within a gallery, I'll have to come back to this cache another time
no luck yesterday but with a very welcome hint we had no trouble today, so easy I cant see how we missed it. thanks
no two grey nomads from Vic wandering through SA, seeing the sights and collecting caches. no luck today maybe if we are ever this way again we can try
Day 6 of our Whyalla trip
Today we headed out early to do the PT sereis and some more of the local caches. We ended up with 56 finds and a few DNFS. Once again we found a variety of differant cache containers and a lot were found quickly but some had us searching for a while. This is our last day in whyalla before we start heading back to perth. We were hoping to find a lot more caches here but we have ran out of time so maybe we might have to come back sometime to finish them off. TFTC

Today was more of the FTF trail, the August trail and others while at Whyalla for a few days.
Not many muggles around and not many cachers here lately either.
Most co-ords were good which made them quicker to find.
Thanks for the cache Tempo 0,

A quick find here, and the cache is in good condition.

A Great weekend away doing the Googs Track with good friends. Lots of different scenery and a lot of fun
We had a great time seeing some good ranges of different styles of caches now it was time to grab a few caches around the Whyalla area.

This was the only Heavy Industry cache we had time for today, before heading toward home around midday.
If we'd read the hint, it would have saved us looking in the wrong direction first [B)].
Seen a few of these before, so it was a quick find . TNLNSL.
Thanks again Tempo 0.

After completing our trek along the Googs Track and back through the Gawler Ranges, it was time to rack up some numbers in the Whyalla area - gee there are a lot of caches around here.
Today our focus was on the FITG series then down south to Cowell and return to Whyalla. Started out early but didnt get back until 10pm. TFTC.

GPS didn't like the power lines above but still was a quick find after reading some of the logs, thank goodness for sticks as i am a shortie : )
Need height to retrieve this one, Aussie M spotted it and CPwanderer retrieved it. There must be a few tall cachers around here but Julie from yakcm isn't one of them.... TFTC
I was really headed home today from a fantastic long weekend with the group on The Hunt for PMB16!!
I had stayed in Whyalla last night and today had the honor of being shown around some of the town's caches by fishingmad and his lovely geodaughter in the morning , then doing more on my own in the afternoon before leaving town for Adelaide.
All in all, 108 successful locus cache events and 3 DNFs for the 5 days away
This was one that I did on my own.
I once took 3/4s of an hour to find one of these hides...ok, it was my first encounter with them.
Found one in Albury/Wodonga while there last year for Oz Mega and that one had quite a few DNFs.
A quick find for me, I just had to time retrieval and replacement around the muggles in the heavy industry part of town.

Found while in Whyalla for the "Moneydork's Moving On" Event. By this time of the day the rain was coming in heavily so we pulled up next to the location and spotted what we thought was the cache and turned out to be correct luckily or would have got more wet.

After meeting a few local caching teams for dinner Wednesday night we headed off to Mallala to try our luck at the power trails here,as we liked the theme behind each one. We got through "It's a small World" yesterday but ran out of light. We camped locally for a nice early start first thing in the morning. We had read the cache page on this one and thought that it would be much better done after hours so after dropping the camper at the caravan park we headed off to try our luck. We searched around for quite a few minutes and still came up empty handed and then when looking at the right angle we spotted something. It's very obvious when you see it but it's still a nice hide and we are happy to say that our name is now in the log.
Thanks Yeah Right 80 for the cache.
Thanks Yeah Right 80 for the cache.
I've seen a few of these cache types lately. It's surprising how easy they are to see but so inconspicuous. There was no traffic about in the early evening and no risk of being muggled.
A walk up find but while signing log in the car business people started discussing equipment with customer, right in the corner of GZ. Drove off with cache but returned later in the morning to replace. TFTC
Just as well I'd already found Bunya's Redback, as I would never have found this one. Love it! TFTC
A quick find, fortunately I had heard about this type before but it is the first one I have seen.TFTC
Found by geodad on the approach to GZ, while geomum was still looking at GPS. Geomum a bit vertically challenged and couldn't get even with the a stick. Retrieved by Geodad. TFTC.

A quality bit of hiding and worthy of a favourite point.
Thank you to the lovely lady who turned the tables on the knight in shining armour rescuing the beautiful damsel in distress scenario today by saving me when I had all but given up find a pesky nano today

Found one like this before so as soon as we got close bam there it was, now just what are we gonna do mmmmmm? Between all the drive by muggle we managed. TFTC
It took us a bit of time to find this one. We searched and thought and looked and thought and looked. Eventually hopped in the car to leave and then it suddenly became clear. Yep- sure enough, there it was. Thanks for the surprise hide.
No banging or machines working tonight. Not even a guard dog was barking. Lovely clear skies overhead
I went to replace the log but found the previous poster had inadvertently signed the wrong side. (blank) The log and cache are both fine and looking forward to your visit.
Found at 11.00am GAFF1. Had us wondering for a few moments and then the familiar hide flashed right there in front of us.

Glad it wasn't in that rather lethal-looking heavy duty power line that's drooping over the footpath.
