Out and about for a Sunday drive. Nice quick find here TFTC Bitsprayer

27-Mar-23
We are on our way to Twizel on a road we haven'ttraveledonbefore. We walked into the cemetery and made a beeline for a likely host. No need to grovel. Cache is all good. Thanks for the placement bitsprayer

27-Mar-23
Another small historic cemetery.. after parting the leaves and branches all was revealed thanks Bitsprayer

14-Feb-23
I was on hands and knees in the middle of bushes for much of the hunt. Maybe another time. The grounds were nice though which helped to make up for the blue face.

13-Nov-22
Never saw a church. Nice spot though. Lucky to go straight to it for a quick find. TFTC.

28-Aug-22
Interesting spot never noticed before. Took a bit of looking to locate cache. Thank you

Enjoyed the find on a nice day TFTC

20-Feb-22
Out driving the back roads of Waimate seeking smilies. Had a sense of deja vu here - I must have DNF'd it years ago. No problem with the find today. [^] TFTC Bitsprayer

09-Jan-22
I found this a while ago and thought I had logged it. We met a relation of the descendants of the church yard mowing the lawns so had a good chat about the area, surprisingly we new a lot of the same people. TFTC

26-Nov-21
Well kept grounds even though the building has gone. I appreciated the etching on the plaque to show me what it used to look like. TFTC # 17,801

15-Jun-21
Quick find, tiny little graveyard, no longer a church there, but the plaque etching on the brick wall provided a picture. TFTC!

13-Apr-21
An early start on a big day geocaching. Ummm what church? I searched and came up with nothing Luckily the cache was an easier find, though I did approach from the wrong side at first! tftc

04-Apr-21
Cool find took a bit.

16-Mar-21
Our first of the day exploring area before heading home.
What a beautiful church it was glad we got to stop here.
Thanks for the cache Britspayer.

30-Dec-20
Reasonably quick find. TFTC.

30-May-20
The church is long gone but the graveyard remains. A quiet spot these days. Cache in great order. I called by to rescue the TB.

15-Dec-18
found on my second attempt but oh well you get that.. just dropping a TB off the I have had a while TFTC Mr BITSPRAYER

02-Dec-18
I had parked my snail shell up in Waimate and was at a bit of a loose end so decided to locate and sign a few caches hereabouts.

I hate magpies.

Cheers for the cache.

03-Jun-18
Found with StreetWalker on day 2 of our Queens Birthday weekend, on a most enjoyable Waimate - Kurow - Waimate round trip. It turned out to be a good choice to head inland as the weather was fine (though cold!) until we reached the coast on the last stage of our journey.
We didn't see the church so think it's gone - maybe the cache should be re-named "Stolen St Michaels" Wink?
GZ looked a bit daunting but luckily the cache was a quick find. TFTC.

03-Jun-18
#15673. Lots of parking (partly because of the removal of the church) and a quick find. Looks like the cemetery is having some work done to allow it to accept more guests in the future. TFTC.

28-Mar-18
Found this one while on a holiday from our home in Whangamata. TFTC

FITW ivss_xx

Well, the church no longer stands but the cache is still there!

FTFT - First To Find Today. Considering how many geocachers were around it was cool to note down if we were the first geocaches to find it today!

This cache is at a country church that you hardly notice as you drive past at a 100km, maybe mostly not because of your driving speed but because of the fact that the church is flattened down to a pile of rubble. Surprised

FTFT - we thought this is worth noting down - First To Find Today - an achievement, knowing, how many geocachers are in this area today. Big Grin

18-Mar-17
On a mission from Rolleston to Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, Kurow, Waimate and home again. Found over 100 caches, which was the goal for the day. A bit drizzly for a start but beautiful sunshine through the Mackenzie. Thanks to all the CO's and apologies for the cut and paste.

19-Feb-17
Warm drive through area today. Almost got sprung by a local who stopped for a chat. Thank goodness I had already signed the log and was just walking out. TFTC

05-Feb-17
Can't believe I never noticed this church here before. As a previous local that's a tad embarrassing! Tftc. All in good order.

Stopped here on a day drive to explore the region and find a few caches. Nice old church, although there was a fair stench of animal effluent around it while I was there. The cache was a quick find with good accurate coordinates. Signed log, TFTC.

After a walk at Gunns Bush. BBear44 and I had lunch in Waimate and wondered over to the gardens. Then we completed an interesting multi and went on a bike ride. Now it's time to hit the road. There was plenty of room for the camper van to turn around and park.

09-Oct-15
Driving to kurow for the night collecting a few caches along the way. Enjoying the nice sunny day eith my buddy Nosynel. Cheers for the cache.

03-Sep-15
I like looking at these old churches and it is sad that this one with its once lovely little gardens and tombstones etc. is no longer functioning... It seem to be following behind popmac. Also from Palmerton north. Who is a caching companion. He was here in April. thank you for these caches and another smiley face.

08-Aug-15
I could not find this the first time I visited, but it was getting dark.... turns out I punched the wrong coords into the gps. ... got the right place this time.

First day of two days trip from Christchurch to Invercargill via Cromwell. Cache 17 of 72 today. This is part of my challenge to find as many 'minutes' for a 400-minute challenge cache, with most caches being straightforward finds. Thanks for the cache.

Headed out for a weekend of crazy caching with sharkiefan - it was all about numbers this weekend!
For me personally, I needed the numbers so that I could get enough caches to bring my average a day back up to 4 caches at least for this year, as on a streak it's not really possible to find heaps of caches in your home hood!

This was cache number 10 out of the 116 we found over the two days. And a huge thank you to all the cachers who put out all these caches! Loved the fun time we had - though weekend could have ended better!
Sorry for not writing cooler logs, but heading overseas in a couple days, and I don't exactly want to be behind in my logging then!! Razz Haha.

Consec caching day # 405

TFTC!! Smile

TFTC! Found with purdiepurdie on a caching expedition.

02-Nov-12
TFTC. I love church caches - this one had a several graves in the grounds. Most appropriate location for a cache of this type. There were masses of bumble bees feasting off the neighbouring kowai tree, but they had no interest in my activities.
Found while flobberworm! and purdiepurdie visit down south for a short caching break.

27-Oct-12
Nice day, doing well, we had a good wander round, worth the stop. thanks
