On my way home to Geelong and decided to take this little detour to collect this cache! GPS was being silly but didn't take long until cache was in hand. Thanks for the cache
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local finds. Quick find - co-ords spot on. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Thanks for placing this cache. LNCU.
Love the old bluestone bridges!! Walked the little distance to GZ and made a quick find! Thanks for making me stop here and view this bit of history!! TFTC!!
What a cool spot!! Loved the historical aspect and hunt to locate. Thank you for motivating me to get out of the car and move!!! Great cache experience for me.
Great views of bridge from hidden view point. If only someone would clear a decent trail it the platform
SL at 5:10pm. Afternoon drive out to Woolsthorpe for a small errand with bdiaw, MuggleMasterKid9 (MMK9) and the GeoTwins. It started to rain as we arrived here on our way home. Definitely some very long grass here. So peaceful too except for the hungry cows across the road and the occasional roar of a passing vehicle.*Signed log using MMK9 and GeoTwins.*TFTC Team Conquest and Team Nibbler (and o'cholio for maintenance) and keeping this older cache alive!
Found with hevwalker, we parked the car and van up a bit and walked the short distance to discover the gorgeous old bridge. Whilst grabbing the cache which was easily accessible I found myself covered in fine spikes......I think it may of been from one of those weird caterpillars or a maybe a plant....all I know was that it took a week for my fingers to stop itching and the lumps to disappear, so please be aware when visiting the cache location. Still worth the cache find and photo opportunity. TFTC
scramping & I were visiting Warrnambool for a 4-day long weekend and now on our way home stopping where we can with the van on the back.We pulled up on the side of the road, up a bit from the bridge. We walked over & found the cache after walking through the grass that was quite long against the track. There were a few prickles at the cache too. scramping got some in her fingers. The bridge itself it quite cool.TFTC Team Conquest
Just discovered Geocaching, and very excited to find there was one hidden just a few paddocks away from where I grew up. Can’t believe it’s been there all this time since 2010! Still in good condition. - allanah915
What an inspiring location. I love these old bridges. Thanks for placing the cache that brought me here Team Conquest and Team Nibbler. Big thanks to o'cholio for maintaining it. FP for the location. SL
Day 4 and it was the last day of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... time to head home to Melbourne... but not without finding lots of caches along the way. But that nearly didn't happen... *geocaching.com* shut down for maintenance in the morning... and it was only by good luck that I had a collection of caches stored off-line.
The modified plan for the morning was to find enough caches in Moyne Shire tick it off for the *12 Circuits of Victoria Challenge*... and then another 8 caches to tick it off for the *WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge*.
Caches in Moyne Shire are widely spread so after a visit to Tower Hill, I was now heading north. From an engineering perspective, this is a fantastic old bridge... and it is amazing that it was used for 144 years...
Thanks **Team Conquest & Team Nibbler** for putting this cache here.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Team Conquest for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Found in the dark. Very clear cold night but no moon. Had to wonder why I was walking in long wet grass near a creek! Plenty of water after all the rain.
Interesting construction… wonder how the CO found it?
It was a quick and easy find.
The old bridge was fascinating….,. Exactly… who would ever know!
The log was slightly damp.. but bag was open. Ensured the seal was good.
There is one clip missing on the container, but it us well contained by a flat rock.

I decided to do a road trip along the Great Ocean Road this week. It’s been a long time since I travelled along this area and it was certainly before I was into caching! Having reached Warrnambool, I’m now making my way inland to head back towards Melbourne…. Via Beaufort and Ballarat .
What a lovely old bridge this is. When I made it to the right location the cache revealed itself quite quickly.
Thanks Team Conquest for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Really cool spot, tricky find! Very over grown since covid. Beware of snakes.
What a lovely bridge and such a surprise. Went along it to the cache. Thigh high grass to gz but once the viewing platform was found the cache was sighted. All good.
Thanks

Found awhile back but just found my paper with codes on it so I can finally log. Log book was signed with date found. TFTC

What a cool relic of times past. The bridge is looking worse for wear but still good for its age.

An interesting piece of history with a clear viewpoint. Enjoyed the cache thankyou. Nil in nil out. Cheer
We took the scenic route home from Portland, and were delighted to come across this old bridge! A cache is always the added bonus when traveling with the hubby, so it was quite exciting to find one here. It had been dislodged from its moorings, so I retrieved it, and hopefully secured it a little better. I took a photo of the muggle lurking under the bridge! TFTC
Definitely on the road less traveled as we take a series of gravel roads to arrive here. No trouble with finding the cache with it in plain sight of the platform; fortunately it looks like the platform has not been used in a looong time.

Today we spent the bulk of the day underground investigating caves and Lava Tubes around Budj Bim National Park having a wow of a time. Now Ausfox; Neville_devil and I decided that it was time to head home to Geelong via Warrnambool for some Dinner and fuel.
With a small detour as we were heading to Warrnambool we found a good spot to park and headed in on foot towards GZ. The path in was so over grown you hardly even know that it used to be in use every.
At GZ the cache was found quickly and our names entered into the log.
As a CO on a few old bridges it was good to see this old beauty
Thank you Team Conquest & Team Nibbler form bringing me here

After working our way through the long grass to what we were surprised to see , we began our search for the elusive cache until we finally picked the correct fork to forage. Thanks Team Conquest for showing us this great construction.
So sorry, Papi4506 has pointed out that I hadn't logged this cache from so long ago. It is logged on the date I visited with Papi4506 and OzHockeyChick. Apologies

Travelling to Portland with Liz and Bruce, for the 8 months to Alexandra Event, we chose a route via a number of caches, suitable for a leg stretch stop and hopefully reward both teams with a smiley token.
Apologies for the late logs, we are still catching up after an almost fatal computer meltdown.
Thanks Team Conquest for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

We ventured out after staying a few days with PHETLERN and were heading to the event at Portland and found this was a cache we were able to find enroute. Thanks to Team Conquest for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
We found ourselves with a three day break to play with, so we seized the day and made our way to Portland for a couple of nights. This was one of the caches we found on the way down there.
What a great old structure tucked away here. Cache found in good condition.
Picked up the Fire Tower Patch TB.

This was a nice quick find for me. The area's pretty overgrown so I was on the lookout for snakes. I took a screwdriver and left an egg timer and the TB "Fire Tower Patch". Cheers for this cache!
This was our first geocache with brad and Janet. They were showing us how to do it. Thanks for getting us hooked already!!
A belated log as we seem to have missed logging this at the time. Perhaps it was the excitemtn of BarbandSue's first cache find with of courser the assistance of the geospoodles!
Sue was the one who spotted it before us. A natural indeed!

We were in the area today so dropped by to do some maintenance. Was relieved to see the cache sitting pretty well where we left it five years ago! The container had held up well but was starting to show its age. Replaced the container and logbook. Should be right for another 5+ years. Some of the muggle logs in the original logbook are great! Happy geocaching
Attempted this one at night. Initially I went the wrong way to get to the cache but that way is completely unmanned with hugely long grass. I then went over the other bridge and got to the trees but couldn't find the cache. I found some rocks but no cache.
