Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Checked the location and found the camo cache container gone - only the log was among the debris. I'm temporarily disabling it until I can replace the container.
Confirmed with a previous finder that this cache has gone and not just unfound. Wrote to Petrockinoz a month back, but he hasn't been online since may.
Possible we can look at marking this for maintenance?

I *think* I was in the right area - almost certain of it given the surrounds. I found all the signs of where a good related cache might be located (it's a puzzle, so I won't say too much) but that was about it. GZ was FULL of leaf litter as well as a needle and searching the ground was looking a little dangerous.
Searched the length and breadth of the nearby metal for the cache, but couldn't find anything at all. Could either Petrockinoz or a previous finder do a check in case it's gone?

Tintin was my son's favourite comic way back when so I had a refresher course with this cache. Snuck into GZ after a medical appointment in the area after waiting for a couple of muggles to clear off. Thanks for the hunt petrockinoz.
Solved eons ago and had one quick look about a year ago. These sorts of caches are always better on a drizzly Sunday morning with no-one about. Into the hole we went armed with torch but didn't really need it. A few non nice aromas about that didn't make it a nice place to stay and soak up the atmosphere. Still, a very good urban cache. Cheers
Luckily I had the day off school today, so I could do some caching. I had solved this puzzle, so I decided to go for it. I was able to see the urban art straight away, and the hidey hole the cache was in! TFTC petrockinoz, a nice puzzle and GZ

Very cool cache, loved the container. I remember exploring this spot before I got into caching, I did not even notice it. TFTC
Found with tophodin. The photos gave us the location. Didn't stop me from pacing back and forth wondering both about tinting and urban art. Eventually saw the obvious and then again. TFTC.
Nice find - bit of an interesting urban artwork there. Not too hard to find, interesting choice of container though! thanks for sharing
Very clever! I was very suprised! Found it on the ground...so we put it back to where we thought it might go.
clever hide, I enjoyed the search.
was not where I expected it to be, so put it back, which is perhaps why others couldn't find it.

Looked everywhere...(maybe not?), up, down, underneath, in, etc etc... but could't find it...
It was fun looking though.
In any case, it so happens that a family friend actually did the graphics for the ship featured in the Tintin movie!

Love TinTin, was introduced by geomum and watched uncles TinTin DVD's a couple of Christmas's ago. I am dying to see the latest movie. Got to GZ and carpark was full and busy so geomum waited in the car in case she had to move it while MtnLioness and I found the cache. Really liked what was at GZ.

Found on a day out caching the ACT with fellow Adelaidian OneHippieChick.
A tip or two from a family member and this was in our hitlist for the day. Great gz, now I understand the name, cool!

Went looking for this one a while ago but were disappointed to find that it had been muggled. Saw that it was back on so headed over and picked it up. Nice hide.
I'm waiting for the cache container I've ordered, which will hopefully arrive soon - then the cache will be up and running again
Came to right GZ and had a previous finder with me... It's not there anymore.

I knew the location before I worked out the coordinates. I found tintin, but couldn't find the cache. Maybe it was just too well hidden.
Cant say we were big fans of Tintin when we were younger, but Mrs H's cousin was....probably still is a mad Tintin fan! Puzzle was easy enough to work out, and at GZ we had the GPS' playing funny buggars until we spotted what we needed.
Many thanks for a nice puzzle and cache. Cheers. TNLN SL

Reperio at 1510. Solved this one a couple of weeks ago, and stopped by GZ today on a caching run around the ACT with haveanez. The GPS was bouncing all over the place, but we soon worked out the most likely spot for a cache, and while one kept watch, the other went and retrieved the cache. Didn't really follow the adventures of Tintin when I was younger, but it's never too late I guess.
Gratias petrockinoz.

Found with fellow geocachers mtrax, Bronnie 1990 and CorvettePete. We solved this puzzle at a nearby geocaching event, then wandered over to make the find. TFTC!
After solving this one at the puzzles and coffee night (Correction, pretty sure mtrax and tienhua solved it!), we decided to venture out into the cold dark depths of woden to grab this one.
All of our GPS's were being stupid, and not getting any sort of signal, but i thought i knew where it was. I've seen the artwork before. Could it be?? AH HAH!!
I found the cache, after searching everywhere else around GZ. So many evil possibilities for a magnetic nano there!
Also spotted several spiders = girlish scream.
Then after we had done the signing honors, and were about to leave, muggles pulled up right infront of GZ. Glad we did it before!

Checked in on this one with some fellow cachers who had solved the puzzle but the cachers seems to be missing.
after the solving this nearby puzzle at the event we decided at it would even better if we found it too, so off into the balmy night , my GPS wasn't locking on to satelites despite the wait and by the time it did bronnie had already found it good stuff another puzzle and caching day ticked off my calendar.

TFTC. Finally passing by when it's quiet. Interesting spot. Guess it was useful at some point or maybe it's a design feature by an architect.....
This was one of a few caches that Steeba and I managed to grab on a days caching around Canberra.
Steeba had done his homework on this one, but once at GZ it was I who came up with this novel hiding location.
Thanks

Found on a days caching run with The Rats in the southern suburbs of Canberra.
Really enjoyed this one. I used to read these books all the time at school and after looking at the cache even tried to dig out some at home!
Wasn't 100% sure of the final location but arriving at GZ I said to The Rats that this must be it for sure- it is themed! After a short search the log was in hand and signed. TFTC!

hahahah great spot....the new log was almost impossible to reroll so we took a few squares off it.
I've had to replace the cache container, since the last cacher found the log... but no cache! The cache is now smaller - a magnetic nano. Bring your own pen - and something 'pokey' to help you get the nano-log out!
Hope this one lasts longer than the first two containers!

Well - that was a surprise. I solved the puzzle many months ago and having put the solved coordinates into google maps it revealed a likely spot. I did a drive-by way back then but the place was very busy at the time and no attempt was made to even get close to GZ on that occassion.
This afternoon I had a little time before picking up the lad, so I did a quick stop and found the place deserted. Of course the solution and coordinates were long since forgotten and not in my GPS...hmmm...well.... judging from the comments in the logs over there looks like a likely spot. Goodness what IS this hidey hole? Oh look - a log (without container). Yep ....must be in the right spot then. TFTC.

I had to travel to Canberra to attend a training course for a few days, what better excuse to pick up a few caches!!! I had some time to spare before I left, so I solved as many puzzle caches in the area where I was to attend the training and near my accommodation as I could (I solved six, and had one left over from a previous trip to the nation’s capital). Arriving in time for dinner, my work colleague and I head out for some food. This cache was conveniently on the way back to accommodation. Being a muggle, he was quite impressed when I disappeared in to the hiding place and returned with the cache. You never know, he might be a new convert. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache petrockinoz
Great cache! Probably my fave so far! I'm not so happy about the creepy crawlies that r all over me tho... I keep finding tiny spiders everywhere! I did pick up Lucky Ten on same route so anyone could be the culprit! Going home to have a shower! thanks Gnaty77
I almost forgot to log this one - I can't even remember when I actually did find it, so this date may be completely wrong. I had actually contemplated putting something in the general vicinity but never found a suitable spot. Oddly enough I had noticed the lead in to this cache but never connected the dots until I was actually in cache-hunting mode.
I had one prior attempt at this cache, but there was a muggle sitting in a car right by GZ, and I wasn't prepared to out-wait him. Fortunately I visit this area quite regularly, so it was not a problem to return. Interestingly as I was sitting there a couple walked by & one of them peeked into the cache zone - I did wonder if they were in the know about the cache.
This time there was no-one about to limit my movements, but I still managed to hit my head on the way out.
TFTC - lots of fun even though I was never a TinTin fan as a kid.

Read a number of the books when I was in Primary School and may have caught the show a few times. I liked the rocket he flew!
Nice little spot I have never seen before! Lucky we tried this after hours so the only people around were sitting and talking in the distance.
At GZ I wondered hmmm is that it, and lucky it was! Signed and on our way. TFTC!

Love finding these hidden places. Still was not expecting this. Had just finished and had just exited the hidding spot when a strange white van appeared from down the ally. This would soon become a real heart pumping cache hunt as we followed him towards our next find.

Nice easy puzzle to solve with a small amount of research. I have seen the books before but never read any of them. We arrived at the muggle free area and spotted a likely spot straight away and made an easy find. An interesting place for the hide........well done

So nicely done! On our way home from coffee and a gnome exchange with McPhan, we thought why not call past and get this one? Being the smallest of the family, Mrs Winglen was sent in for the grab while the boys big and small watched out to tell me when it was safe to emerge without muggles watching. Lots of fun, thanks petrockinoz!
We found the container on the ground with the log next to it. The magnets are not strong enough to hold it in place.
A nice little puzzle and the chance of a drive this afternoon. A virtually muggle free GZ. Cache and log found loose on the ground.
3769.[font=Book Antiqua][green]I used to read Tintin a lot. Not that that had anything to do with solving this puzzle for me. I might say that the solution was either tinny (groan) or luney. Anyhow know this place very well as I've relieved, visited, repaired, moved and had meeting at. And to clarify that's at the place above and the relieving wasn't that sort - dirty minds. Quick retrieval and then had to wait ages to replace it due to passing muggles both car and foot. Top effort all around.

Solved the puzzle easily as I too, read Tin Tin when younger !
Great to be rreminded of those old titles and a cache to find as well !
Thanks for the cache, petrockinoz !

I was leaving Woden after a work dinner and Mrs M sms' me to check my email. She had just solve TinTin in Woden! So a quick u-turn and I was quickly on top of the cache with no muggles in sight. TFTC!
Found with SecretSquirrel-BJC.
We had a couple of mix ups to start with but the GZ was very clear when we arrived there. Well done. TFTC

What CT was trying to diplomatically say in his log was that I had typed in the listed coordinates instead of the solved coordinates - doh! and we will just leave it at there
I really liked this cache Petrockinoz because I love to discover something quirky that most muggles would not know or notice. A fun easy puzzle, and interesting GZ and good container.
Thanks for the fun.

#640 - found after a very pleasant family dinner at a nearby Indian restaurant. Nice quick find. Nice hide. (I was rather tardy in logging this TFTC
Solved this a few days ago. Today was out with Blackbunny at a night cache nearby. On the way home we grabbed this cache for me. Made a quick easy find. Enjoyed the puzzle and laughed at who was at gz TFTC
Aside from the slightly unusual smell at GZ, this place and the accompanying artwork is great! I also like the personal touch to the cache itself, very neat. Chose to visit around end of the work day so the high muggle factor was a deterrent, but geo-midget decoy came to the rescue here!
Sat down and worked out the puzzle and then dropped by to find the cache today. Must admit that I haven't read any of the books.......but then I don't read many books, but thanks for the education anyway.
Arrived at the general GZ area and look around for just a minute and thought, yep it must be. No muggles on a Sunday afternoon so it was in, sign and out in about 2 mintues.
Thanks for the reading I had to do.....and a very cool GZ. I wonder what it was in it's previous life.

After getting a little help with this puzzle I decided that with some time to kill I'd pop by and pick up this one. At GZ my GPS was going crazy. I don't think that it ever indicated that I was within 15 metres so eventually I put it in my pocket and read the hint. Ah, well that is something to look for. A little more wandering brought me to the required feature and I had a good grin at how the book titles made sense too. Where this is supposed to go I have no idea!
Had to wait for a gap in the muggle traffic to pop in and make the find, sign the log and re-emerge, dusting off all the detritus.
I loved Tintin when I was in school and read ALL the book multiple times, so I really enjoyed this one.
Thanks Petrockinoz!

2935 - A couple of nice finds after work today...
After The cache near the road I went over to Woden to have a look for Tintin in Woden. My luck was in today as I spotted Tintin and the likely hidey hole straight away ! Just had to negotiate the muggles - twice - and then all was good. Great little spot - a bit mysterious as well (not being a long time Woden resident I dont knoe the story here...).
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

Seems like the cache has been muggled... I dropped by today to check it and it was gone, so I've popped in another magnetic cache - hopefully it will stay longer. So if you get a blank log, that doesn't actually mean you're a FTF!
I may need to come up with better camo! This is still a micro. But in case this is in a 'easily muggable' location, it might not be a great idea to place geocoins in it.

Now that puzzle seems easier than maybe it should have been! (Was that note meant to be there?) But I'm not complaining, I like easy puzzles!
Then a very strange place indeed was found! Followed the adventurer all the way up, until I could go no further, and then made the find. Yep - love it that geocaching brings me to places like this! Now I would like to know the full story of this spot! Thanks.

One of my favourite series of books from when I was a kid - and they still are (although the cartoons areen't as good as the books IMHO).
Loved the stencil art and what a funky place to hide the cache.
TFTC and the fun hunt.
Was going to drop of Peacemakers Puzzle Coin, but I guess I will have to find another puzzle cache for that.

Vroom Vroom FTF for me @ 12:12 !!!!!
I walk past the GZ at least once per week, and have toyed with the idea of putting a cache here....so i knew exactly where it would be based on the name....but solved the puzzle anyway just to be sure...
Thanks Petrockinoz for the excuse to get out of the office for a bit

Sorry it took so long - I clicked the 'reply' button on my e-mail... was wondering why there was no reply, and then realised I should have posted a note - not clicked on 'reply'! Anyway - here's what the email said:
The link to the Tintin info site (Wikipedia) has all the Tinin books in chronological/numerical order - the order of the books gives you the coordinates, this is why two of the books are repeated in the list of books given.
There are a couple of zeroes in the final coordinate - so there are a couple of 'made-up' titles for the zeroes. The first group gives you the S coordinates (i.e. Tintin in the Congo=2, Tintin in Australia=0, The Broken Ear=6, The Black Island=7, The Broken Ear=6) , the second group the E coordinates.
