With a name like that you dread what you might find but it turned out to be a quick find. Thanks.
We are camped at the golf course for a motorhome GC holiday. Today we packed a picnic and went for a trip to find the local GC's. Glad to have a nice day, but cold wind after all the rain.
That sure is one heck of a hedge and regulary trimmed. A neat hide of the cache. Thanks for this cachejamien.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a coolish winters day caching in and around Oamaru during our Queens Birthday trip south.
With the cache name, we were worried about where the cache would be hidden, but we were releived that it wasn't in the hedge... TFTC.

#21306. The title was a worrying (searching in large hedges is seldom fun). We were pleased to see that the hedge was behind the fence, and that the cache was near the hedge and not in it. Quick find. TFTC.
A short diversion for a quick find today. Cache nice and dry and well tucked away. TFTC
Was going to Oamaru for a day trip with Mrs Yeetrees as she wanted to go for a ride and pick up a few caches as I wanted to train her how to cache with a phone. We also needed to go and get a new microwave for her dad as I was getting a bit annoyed with the one that he currently owned as it was made when the dinosaurs walked this planet as it was so slow in heating up things that it basically took 4 times longer than it should.
After finding GC438FA - Black and White (North Otago), this was the next cache that we had on our list to find today. I let Mrs Yeetrees out to search for this cache as I watched her from the car it only took her a few seconds to work out were this cache was and retrieve it, signed and then replaced it was found.
Thanks jamien for placing this cache here and for bring us to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (12899). Now it is time to go into Oamaru to go and get some lunch and then look for a microwave.

The (major road trip was about to begin) that was for the Oamaru Geofest trip in the company of HKCB and iammrwalker for a bit of a road trip across to the west coast, through Haast and in a roundabout way to Oamaru.
My trip stats were as follows: 617 caches (214 Puzzles), 3300kms, 500 litres of Petrol, 21 hours sleep, 100+hours caching time. THe weather was wonderful and apart from about a 6hour period on the sunday we had fine weather all the way and feel that we made a bit of a hole in the region.
Firstly thanks to all the CO's that put in the effort to to set up these caches and to all the CO's whose caches we did not find this trip, well we are already planning our next trip.
We worked hard at getting specific caches (especially the Geo Art around christchurch and hence our concentration on this area for the preliminary 24 hours. So after a couple of running repairs to the rental vehicle (fuses not working) we were off knowing that all ports could be charged and that sleep was for the weak.
Sorry about the copy and paste logs but that is what tends to happen with a number run of this size. Finally we have made it to Oamaru and after a shower (1st in several days), a decent feed, and it was off to find a few more caches locally before calling it quites for the evening as we have a big day tomorrow to try and get to a point whereby we all get to acheive our individual set goals.

Came down this way from the North for the Oamaru Geofest, and decided to add a few more days to the weekend trip and turn it into a bit of a Mega mission, starting 5pm on Wednesday 18th and finishing 3pm Monday 23rd! Teaming up with Cats&Dragons for the first 24 hours then with Iammrwalker joining the team for the remainder.
Just a few of the stats for the trip were:
- 700 caches found, including 270+ puzzles (thanks to the Christchurch Geoart)
- 3300 km's driven, using over 500L of fuel $$$
- Just over 20 hours of sleep (about 4 per day on average), and about 100 hours of caching time.
Certainly a Mega Trip!
Day 4: With the lack of sleep starting to take a toll we finished Day 3 off early and got a few hours sleep before getting back to finding about 2am this morning. Todays mission was to find caches around Tekapo before heading South through the Mackenzine Country via Hakataramea Pass, and onto Dansey's pass before coming out on the coast and heading to Oamaru for the Geofest and caching around the area.
With our names on the log book at Geofest, our bags checked into our accomodation and our bellies full. What else could we do but more caching!!
Sorry about the cut and past logs, but that seems to happen with cache runs of this size!

I found this Geocache on a Geocaching mega mission along with Cats&Dragons and HKCB. With only just over three and half thousand Geocache finds I was very much the over achiever in training. We were in the South Island to support the Oamaru Geofest event, hunt down some Jasmar and D/T harder to find Geocaches, lonely caches (those not found in more than 6 months), virtuals and try and meet some milestone numbers. We signed the logs HIC, an abbreviation of our respective Geocaching names, (H)KCB, (I)ammrwalker and (C)ats&dragons. A huge thanks to all the CO’s who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found.
I arrived in Christchurch late Thursday evening having left straight from work and was picked up by my intrepid companions in our four wheel drive rental to find they had already grabbed about 270 finds in the previous twenty four hours. I wonder if the rental company would have still let us have it had they known we would travel 3300km in it before returning it four days later? Our trip took us to Greymouth via Arthurs pass, Ngahere, down the west coast to Haast across to Hawea, Cromwell, Twizel, Aoraki Mt Cook, Tekapo, onto the east coast up to Oamaru and back up to Christchurch via Akaroa and countless diversions and small towns along the way. We slept in the car for the first two nights, grabbing some shut eye between cache finds, taking turns to drive. We rented a small place in Oamaru for the other two nights and appreciated a bed to sleep in and a hot shower. It was an amazing trip, in which I discovered the South Island has some of the most incredible scenery in the world.

Up in Oamaru for day #1 of the Oamaru geofest. Out with Sirbennis and KJR grabbing lots of caches. TFTC
Headed out for a Mad Mission with Team_Gaters and 8ManAfter we signed our logs today 'T8T' cos were dynatmite! I grabbed 8Man at 5.30 am and we grabbed TG just before 6am and we were on the road before 6am with the bikes on the back. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We wanted to do as much of the A2O as we could and as many PnGs that we could manage. We stopped by the event first and then we had to stop an grab breakfast at 10am. We grabbed some lunch and headed for the hills. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Scored a delicous dinner in town and headed home. Got home just after 12am knocking out 620km and 115 caches. Good times!
It was a heck of a hedge.
Cache 14 of 115 for this crazy day!
Thanks for the cache jamien.

A long days caching (Mad Mission?) with TheWanglers and 8ManAfter..revelin a bit of the Geofest Event in Oamaru. We signed our logs 'T8T' cos were dynamite...and 'in a hurry'...LOL! Picked up by TW & 8man at 6am...and we had our bikes loaded for a bit of A2O action during the day. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We stopped by the event first and then we stopped to town to grab some breakfast and a packed lunch and then headed out to hit some trails. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Grabbed some tea in town then headed for home. Got home just on 12am knocking out 620km and just over 100 cache finds for each of us. A great day with great company!
The 3 of us had to agree - now; that is one heck of a hedge. Cheers!

#2,947: Binge Smiley!
What an adventure we had today! TheWanglers, Team_Gaters, and I headed out at dawn from Christchurch with four goals in mind: 1) Find Many Caches, 2) Get TG to 7,000 finds, 3) get me to 3,000 finds, and 4) Have Fun! Needless to say, all were accomplished in spades. It was only my second 100+ day ever, and had us driving, walking, running, biking, and even crawling to make the finds. We were also able to find at least 6 different cache types, and attend two events, in order to catch up with old friends. Thanks to all the hiders, but most of all, thanks to my partners in crime! We signed all logs as "T8T", sung to the tune of AC/DC "TNT".

The second weekend of planned caching trips for Chelzea and I. This one started caching near Temuka and then on down to Timaru, Oamaru over Danseys Pass and then back to ChCh from Palmerston the next day. Long and winding trip in places but managed a good number of caches with only a few DNF's. Too many to remember in detail so sorry for the cut and paste logs but thanks to all the owners it was a great two days of searching new places for a good variety of caches.
But which one - choice of three. Used to play in hedges like this as a kid. TFTC #7528
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega.
Thanks for adding to the fun of my trip!

Parked within a couple of metres of GZ and spotted a likely looking place before getting out of the car. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Only bovine muggles today - this is 3rd try as human muggles last twice!!! Tftc

It looks like the fence has been replaced, found cache after a bit of a search and have hidden it next to the strainer post under an offcut of fence post. CO may want to check it.
Found on our Invercargill to Christchurch road trip. Thanks to all the cache owners who have put out some great caches in some great locations, we enjoyed our trip and enjoyed many of the places we found ourselves. SL TFTC.

A quick find. Just as well as it was dark, wet and cold. Number 2 for the 31 days of caching. TFTC jamien
Found with Chosen1978 on weekend trip into bitsprayer country. Quick find TFTC
The kind of hedge that you start at one end and by the time you reach the other end you need to start all over again. Thank goodness for mechanical trimmers.
Sibling was spotted by a man driving by, and the cache was found very quickly after that as we feared he would come back. TFTC!
On a caching trip with ingidayna to Oamaru and surrounds to get 1000 finds. TFTC
Yip a heck of a hedge, after searching for a while in the wrong spot gps finally caught up, ended up being a quick find tftc
Not so impressive any more, the hedge has had a chop and the local farmer was in the paddock chopping things to a more manageable size. TNLN Thanks
A quick easy find. We have seen a few of these massive hedges in our travels. TFTC
A heck of a hedge alright! I'm guessing someone didn't get it topped a few years ago, and now it can't be reached anymore. Cheers Gav [7338]
