I found my way into this great picinic area with a fabulous view of the imposing bulk of the dam towering over it
The gravel trucks crossing back and forth along the top of the dam looked awfully small from down here [:o]
And what about all that water that must be piled up on the other side, just waiting for an excuse to break through the dam wall [:o]
Putting thoughts of being washed downstream to the back of my mind, I scambled around the rocks for a while
I had fun for 30 minutes.
But in the back of me mind were not only thoughts of a violent drowning death, but of a DNF !!
So I proudly add the FOURTEENTH DNF log in a row [^]
Maybe this cache is not here to be found ? [:o]

I reckon we turned almost every rock over - but no go May need to be a bit more specific with the hint lol!...
Wow, this was a bit spooky; looking up at the massive rock wall and trying not to think about all the water behind it.
Unfortunately, we couldn't find any sign of the cache.

No luck here. The GPS was taking us on a meandering route in order to locate the right road but we got there in the end. Quite a convoluted little settlement and being at the base of the dam is a bit intimidating.
To many DNF'S needs disabling so your not wasting people's time trying to search for something that's not there,
Cheers

No luck for us either today! Perhaps this should have an owner check, just to make sure it is still there - please?
Had a good search, but only found lizards and a bit of rubbish amongst the rocks.
Nice spot anyway.

Nice easy find. Kids ran around on the grass eldest was giving U's and education about wet and dry environments.

Lovely sunny day to do caching today...Mr Bushies2 went up there by himself and found it after a short search...stayed there for lunch...nice spot for a picnic and our dog to have a bit of exercise...no muggles around. Thanks wbfoto.
Gee, that wall is big. Anyone how many rocks there are. Great spot for a picnic. tftc
Took the chance to nab this one on the way through to Bathurst with SolDeLune and the Winglens. Nice stopover after navigating our way down the hill. Questions arose as to how high the wall is. I think Mr Winglen won.
Thanks for another of your caches.

That certainly is a whole lotta rock, and very glad were we that we didn't have to search there. Luckily also, we made the find and replaced the cache just as a carload of elderly folks arrived for a picnic - the same car that had stopped right by us when we were back up at the wall. Are we being stalked? thanks wbfoto.
Wow, how big is that wall? We had a few guess, but still have no idea. Cache was found quickly before another car load of travellers arrived.
Thanks again for another cache.
Thanks again for another cache.
We thought this would be at the foot of the wall and had to back track a little to a convenient parking spot. Quick scramble and the cache was located without drama.
A nice picnic area for large gatherings.

Was hopping it was under a rock on the rock wall. But not to be, an easy find once GZ was reached. Interesting to see that the BBQ's provide cooking tools. Not a sole to be seen in the picnic area today.
JABs.

Easter sunday and the whole area was crawling with picnickers.
No chance of looking for the cache.
We contented ourselves with having lunch under the massive rock wall.
It looked so inviting to climb.
Thanks for bringing us here

I used to spend lots of time here in the 70's as a kid, at the time this spot seemed to be the place of choice for bbq's with family and friends, I'm really glad to see that its exactly the same as I remember it. The area was deserted today so finding the cache was not a problem, took the TB and will move to somewhere else. Many thanks wbfoto fo bringing me back to this great place
Haven't been here for years and it's good to see it hasn't really changed. A great spot to stop for a stretch, and as we had the area all to ourselves, the geohounds enjoyed it just as much.
great spot for a nicnic ! hope the rocks nearby dont let go , major troubles, not to many muggles about and none could see gz, took the find quick while pop paid the visit in the brick house, hehe, i'm sure this is where i left the chook TB, good cache, thanx
