I was not able to extract the cache in 2023, but today I'm not sure it was the same, because today it was very easy to extract it; nothing in comparison to last time. Not the same strength magnet either. A quick find in the lovely garden. TFTC Jimmymaff.
Thanks for the Cache Jimmymaff, Sunday was a beaut day to be by the lake. Patches of Sun and a bitter cold wind made you feel alive. My wife had a wonderful time feeding some very friendly peacocks. Mum and I were able to catch up with the Goss. I had done the numbers last night so it was a simple snatch and grab. The selfie camera on my phone made for a good mirror, but my fearless fingers made the actual find.Regards from Victourer
Lovely multi. A quick walk before visiting the Annamieke Mien collectionTftc JimmymaffRegardskbucky
we came l ast night to solve it, had a look but no luck. so this morning we checked again, we think its missing.
Alas despite two attempts, today with frozen noses, Me&B and I didn't find this one. Back to WA empty handed for us.
This was a nice quick calculation and find for GT37 and myself here today. Thanks for placing the cache for all to find.
As this was a simple multi, we decided to stop and attempt it on our way home. Pleased we did as it was nice and quick. Thanks for the placement of this cache.
On a road trip to attend Capital Geobash Mega and see many different sights along the way. A really lovely spot. Unfortunately a dnf. Had a good look at the likely spots but maybe its missing or not my day. We saw the peacocks. ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Thought we had the right location near a sign but long search around & further into garden came up with nothing. Too many muggles & too hot to continue. ?????????
While riding along Australias East Coast on our bicycles we also stayed in Sale. This is a beautigul Botanical Garden. TftC says florinifi
Beautiful sunny morning! Passing through on the way home and found a fantastic park for the geo-kids. Spontaneous geocache later and we have our first multi! TFTC!
After several attempts and the right cords found this cache today with AutumnBees. TFTC
Yayyyy such a great multicache! Great for the kids as it was straightforward. Off for a play in the playground now!
Find 4442 on December 27, 2023 4:18PMFound on our Gippsland holiday. We stayed at Sale for 2 nights and explored the area via the geocaching trail. Kids needed a play so we found a good park and we found a cache. Everyone gets to play Cache in good order. TFTC Jimmymaff
Some fancy new signage in the gardens has led to a cache gone awol. New cache now in place to be found. Happy hunting.

We were in the park and wondering if there was a geocache nearby. Sure enough there was and so we soon had the cache in hand. Didn’t have a pen on us so there’s a photo of the log as proof. TFTC
The last weekend of daylight savings - Time to head away for the weekend to the Latrobe Valley for some exploring, camping and caching with RoamingHowie.
A lovely wander through these magnificent gardens in between the rain showers. Waited at gz for a couple of muggles to pass before retrieving the cache.

It’s road trip time. With plenty of places out east that have yet to be explored, OzHockeyChick and I set off to see some sights in Gippsland.
A nice walk through these very well maintained gardens. After waiting for some muggles to pass we were able to make a quick find.

The goal for today was to log six multis scattered around sale. For various reasons I only managed to get half of them
This was an easy find after a short stroll in the park

I pleased you could reach it easily. The mintie tin was well beyond the reach of my fingers, and the magnet was VERY strong and I couldn't budge it. Unless there are two caches. I spent ages trying to extract it.
Retrieved the cache easily. Signed the log no problem. Added an extra piece of paper
Its totally good to go.

Given what appears to be ongoing issues with this placement, perhaps it's time for the CO to visit and check the situation - confirming the cache is actually designed/located as it was when it was published. From the image it appears as though some TLC is needed.

Please respond to this situation by **11th April**, to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.

Next time in Sale I will check this cache out.
Not sure what the problem is. It’s obviously there. Other finders managed to retrieve it and sign the log. One Cacher can’t and it’s disabled. Really?

That is ridiculous. The magnet of the mintie tin is SO strong that I couldn't get it out. I returned to the car for a crowbar. Unfortunately the hook end wouldn't fit, but the other end would, so I tried that. FAIL! How are we expected to sign the log? DNF.
The cache needs to be made accessible. See log. There was a lot of spider web, so it appears that it hasn't been removed for some time.
A quick find however the log is quite damp thankyou for the cache and the walk around the lake
Soon had the coordinates sorted but when I arrived at a very suitable spot I was unable to locate the cache. Had an enjoyable wander around this beautiful area. Thanks Jimmymaff
Suscoe headed out today for a wander to the north east of Sale.
It was a delightful day with plenty of sunshine but a cold wind kept us aware that Winter is not far off.
We enjoyed a lovely drive through the countryside, lots of trees, cattle and some sheep. We also saw a lot of parrots along the road sides.
We had returned to Sale to pick up a few caches before heading back to our accommodation.
It was a contrast to the quiet country roads but it was good to find a few Sale caches.
Thanks to Jimmymaff for this multi. All good at GZ today apart from the wind.

Find # 10759
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
Today we headed south to Loch Sport, back along the Shoreline Drive, adjacent to 90mile beach. Had a quick visit to Seaspray then back to Sale for the Arvo. After dinner we headed out multi hunting, and got a couple of trads too . This put us up in Maffra and we finally got back to the Motel just after midnight.
Numbers worked out and off to GZ. Interesting walking through here tonigh. Need to come back tomorrow for a better look. At GZ we had a few orb spiders watching our movements but thankfully no muggles. After a bit of a hut around we discovered the well hidden cache.

Another day out with Ski pair, this time We headed to the Sale area with a few detours along the way. We had a great time out finding caches and enjoying the scenery.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels of the area.

Found a park in a shady place and headed into the gardens. Soon found the correct place and located the information we needed. With calculations done we headed of to GZ and made a quick find after initially missing it on the first scan.
We managed to get our diaries to align with Rebel Acts once again and set out for a caching trip albeit a short day to Sale. A side trip to Heyfield allowed us to pick up a new multi and also visit the VicAsh retail outlet where they sell a range of solid timber benchtops and other timber articles.
On to Sale where we had some lunch and then tried some multis and traditionals. We came to the conclusion however that we need to return in the future with bikes to pick up many on the trails and the wetlands. The wetlands were far too full of water today anyway.
A beautiful day for caching and the short walks we did. Only wish I'd remembered to bring a hat!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Jimmymaff.

Staying in Sale for the week and headed out for few multi's this afternoon. Once at the posted co-ords we found the required info, worked out GZ and then headed off to GZ. Cache was found without issue and then it was back to the car and off to the next one.
Thanks Jimmymaff.....really enjoyed the visit and walk around the gardens. fav point for showing us the area.

I gathered the figures and did the calculations. The cache was a quick find in an obvious place.
TFTC, love this place. We would not have thought to come here and it’s currently the coolest place in town as is going to get over 40 degrees today.

We arrived in SBG about 7:30am. There a few Muggles around, but not enough to restrict my caching activity. I strolled down to the lake enjoyed the view and got my bearings. Eventually I spied a ‘most likely spot to hide a cache’ after a few fruitless searches. A quick search and I had the cache in my hand. Finding a gap between those doing their lap of the lake was a bit harder, but done soon enough. The I heard some unusual, to me, sounds and the sky near some trees not far away from me was full of black ‘birds’. I thought it unusual behaviour, until I realised it was Flying Foxes returning to their daily roost. It was a wonderful experience.
We’re in Sale passing time while the car gets a service so we decided to grab a few of the local caches. This was a easy solve followed by a not-quite-so-easy find (I blame my crappy iPhone GPS) which was finished off by an extremely-difficult-to-return due to a whipper-snipper wielding muggle who apparently needed to trim the immediate area around GZ!

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Jimmymaff for the cache.

We were heading to Sale for "It's my birthday and I will have an event if I want to"
event with micaparamedic and being that it is February 29th we were also gathering some different types of caches.
We hadn't as yet found a multi and we looked at the time and thought yes, we do have time to try this one before heading to the event. There were many families making use of the fantastic playground and also quite a few enjoying the beautiful gardens.
As we approached our calculated gz we waited for a group of cyclists to go passed before we looked for the cache which we found in a logical spot and our names were added to the log.

Found this Multi on our way home from holidays. Decided to stop and let the son go and have a play. The husband went off and found the cache while the wife was taking photos of a jumping spider that became her new friend. Log was signed and replaced. Nice spot to visit and we went for a walk around the park before heading off. TFTC.
More Christmas celebrations today, and a quick cache find was in order. Young nephew with a bit of caching experience found this one. TFTC
Very quiet here today due to the AFL grand final being on, hunted around a little before l discovered the nicely hidden cache signed and replaced...TFTC
On a scout event and a few of the kids hadn’t heard of geocaching so we went for a walk to the lake to collect 2 nearby caches. A couple of the scouts are now hooked!
This was a nice easy multi to show them the ropes and a different sort of hiding place as well.

Back in Sale today and after a visit to the wetlands we where off to turn this one into a smiley face.
Done the maths again and after poking around in the garden I then looked in the obvious place and wala!
Names added to the logbook on a very windy afternoon and turned the past DNF into a smiley.
The gardens are very nice and the peacocks are cool.

The hardest part of this cache was the retrieving of the cache container. Muggles being the biggest and then having the strength to retrieve the cache container. The gardens are really lovely. SL TFTC
A DNF today.
Had the co ords in hand and had a good look around the tree but was cut short with lot of muggel walkers hanging around.

After a cold foggy start, we spent the day very close to Sale, trying to convert some of the many trads and multis to smiley tokens, before moving to Bairnsdale tomorrow.
Along with many holiday makers we enjoyed our visit to these interesting gardens and of course log in for a smiley token.
Thanks 'Jimmymaff' for this multi placement.

We searched for some time without luck. The obvious location at GZ proved to be fruitless or maybe we just missed it. We noted that the last cache entry, a DNF, was back in April 2017. Maybe this needs to be checked.
We thought we worked it all out correctly, it took us to a GZ that looked positive but we came up empty handed well almost
