We were unable to find the cache mainly because we found a large container that was broken and empty. So we quit the search thinking that it was the cache
I found it. That’s a nice story. Mate. Your log crumbled in my hands. I signed what I could. It was very wet inside the larger container. A lovely tribute.
Checked again today, the log book is in there, read through the cache description, look at the cache listed size and check the hint. Place your hand inside and feel around........
Was out and about and had a couple of caches in mind that I wanted to do and this was the first. I found a park and had Black Flag Son with me so we began our walk to GZ. Eventually we got there and of course the GPS signals told me 2 different things so I just checked both spots I assumed it would be.
Then I had a look at the logs and discovered that the other spot my GPS was sending me to was spot on. As I walked through I saw what I had come to find and went and checked it. Great cache container and grabbed the nano inside. Signed the log and placed as found. TFTC.

Out caching with Dad, Black Flag 78 and we found this cache. Very clever container, TFTC.
Lenny was an interesting chap. Cache says "micro", I did locate cache easy enough but it took me some time to find the log. Read the hint but nothing seemed to happen for awhile but the my finger did the walking and eventually I had a log to sign. Replaced all as found. TFTC
I absolutely loved this one, being a former member of both the NSWFB and the NSWRFB this one was close to home for me, thanks
Made it to GZ after getting past the barbed wire and tangle of flora. Began the search and when I stopped to look around it was right in front of me in all its glory. Quickly located the log and signed. Somehow the outer container has water in it. Great cache
Found at 2.10pm with RoddyC and hatzofff after the geocaching meeting today.
Finding a place to park was the hardest part about finding this cache. After getting onto the highway by mistake, finally found a parking spot.
The cache was an interesting one and we replaced the logsheet as it had disintegrated in our hand. Beware of barbed wire getting into this one.
SL then returned as found.
A fav point from me for the hide. (Also my brother's name is Lenny or Leonard)

There is a meet up today at Helensvale, so some caching before and after is on order.
Eventually found a good parking spot and set off up the pathway. Sneaky hide. Log sheet disintegrated so a new one is now in place.

Out with geofriends caching after the monthly North Gold Coast event.
Nice easy find. Existing log sheet disintegrated in our hands. Replacement log was added to the sneaky cache container.

Checked on this one today, top section of the cache container was lying on ground nearby. Log book was safely attached, replaced back to where it should be
Tftc. Once again I was quite lightly dressed (shorts) for this kind of place. But carefully approaching the GZ I did not get bitten by anything. No problems finding the cache itself.
Uksquirrel and I gingerly entered area, again squealing thru the cobwebs, navigating over the rusty barbed wire into the clearing (if you'd call it that). Finally found container after a bit of a search. Saw lots of these with my Dad back in his day. Log Eventually found!!

Thank you to all the volunteers in our communities - and it sounds like your father did a great service to his community. Great hide and thanks Pigwig2 - certainly finding a few of your caches today.
I drove over here to check out this cache and surrounding ones. I parked nearby and wandered over towards GZ - wow the road is busy here! Luckily GZ is away from curious eyes and I enjoyed finding the unusual cache! Thanks for the cache
#1 find this morning with young geo-son... he "sort-of" loves the jungle hunts and this one was great. We found this one a lot quicker than I expected despite the good camo left by the last cacher. TFTC !!!
TFTC nice hide and great way to remember your Father. Signed, replaced as found and all in good order.
On a tight deadline so spent a bit of time searching high and low, dodging spiders and barbed wire, unsure if cache is still in place as there is a fair amount of rubble on the floor
This one took me quite a bit of searching to find. A comment in a previous log confirmed that I was in the right area so I continued my search.
I noticed something that looked a bit out of place and picked it up for a closer look. Hmmm, that's interesting, wonder why that's there.
Suddenly the penny dropped, the switch clicked and the lightbulb went on. What a clever hide.
A favourite point for the cleverness.

I have driven past this cache on several occasions. Today I made the effort of working out where to park prior to my arrival. Wandered into GZ looking for a lizard. Disappointed at not seeing one but I found a fine cache hide and container instead.

Up from Canberra and found with Rapidlywild on a two week geomission around the Gold Coast and, of course, for the MEGA
So with 4 days of caching and over 100+ finds under our belts so far, we've had a great time touring around caching and seeing new places Lovely to cache in the warm QLD weather as well!
Apologies for the somewhat generic logs- it's not easy remembering every single hide so far!
Thanks very much to all of the cache owners for their hides

Second day venturing around the Gold Coast region with specimenX and we were out caching once again. We had a very enjoyable day out and about.
Apologies to all the cache owners for generic logs however we enjoyed the day wandering around the Upper Coomera and Surrounds.
Thanks Pigwig2 for placing this cache for us to make a find on

Found a spot to park & wandered over to GZ.
Followed the co-ords & soon found the amazing cache guardian.
Trying not to disturb the guardian & incur his/her wrath I continued my search.
A quick find was made & the guardian watched patiently to ensure that all went according to plan.
Love the cache!
Signed the log & returned all as found.
Made my way back past the ever watchful Guardian who turned his/her head slightly, as I passed within half a metre, but otherwise ignored my presence.

There was just me and a little local reptilian resident today. I asked where the cache might be, but only received a blank stare. Never mind, I was able to spot it myself. Thanks to Pigwig2, a nicely constructed container indeed.
A lil confused to begin with but a quick read of previous logs and more cache minded thinking and the great hide was discovered TFTC SL
The hardest thing about this cache was parking the car. A short walk along a path led us to stop at a slope with long grass, something we had vowed to avoid in summer. A re-read of logs took us back and cache was in hand in minutes. A nice tribute hide from PigWig.
Love the wee story about Lenny. My partner's dad was also a fire brigade volunteer, most dedicated and courageous men and women. Always delighted to find one of your caches Pigwig2 tftc
What a great find, but the terrain needs to be upped to 5 stars.... only if you go the way we went!!!
We went to the south side of the cliff and my cacheing buddy who had the gps told me that it's up there, so we went to the east side and parked our bikes just after the sewer and we went up! We walked around in circles until we got to the edge of the shale cliff and the gps told us that the cache is one meter over the edge of the cliff!! Well its not floating in mid air so we looked down and about 4 meters down we saw it but there is a 5 meter cliff, he descended first and fast and singed the log before I was able to get half way down
I escaped with some minor scratches and for my buddy, he came away with some minor cuts
All great fun, and a big lesson learnt, if the terrain in 1.5 then it is going to be on the ground!!!
No items were traded
Thanks Pigwig2 For another great cache!
This was find #214 for us.

Checked on this one to replace log book but the whole cache is now missing. Will need to reconstruct a new one
A nice easy find, I noticed it as I drove up. Love the ones that are IPS! Found both the outer container and inner container as per hint but the log in the inner one is full. I added my name to the paper within the outer container hoping that would suffice to the CO. It will need some maintenance in the way of a new nano log for the inner container. TFTC. SL.
Found this whilst out with misssusan, bennyboppers and mnance, a nice construction of the cache, I found it just laying in the garden and we signed the loose piece of paper, but I see you've disabled for maintenance. Tftc
We wrote on the paper log the log inside is full with misssussan79 and lisylou and mnance101
Easy find Not so sure about the hint though

I was nearby finding a previously elusive cache and I thought that I would drive down the road and see if this is in situ. I glanced it as I drove by so came back to make the find. The container is full of ants but I managed to sign the actual log after first signing a piece of paper. Thanks Pigwig2.

Myself, geoson, and geodog set off to find this one after lunch at a local sushi restaurant. Find number 199 for me! Creative looking cache as always PigWig. TFTC.
The owner wants me to rewrite my Log. Here you are.

[green]Staying in The Goldy for a few days and today we took the kids out for a look at the sights.
Anyway we got to find some waymarks at the same time, woooohoooo! .[/green]

[orange]Had to duck to the shops and grabbed this on the way back! Oops, container suffering a little wear & tear, thread damaged and container has come away from the surface of where it was attached. Anyway nice easy find, I think the neighbours were wondering what we were up to parked right on the verge[/orange]

On day 4 on my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab 66 caches for the day. My mind was not as sharp today as I didn't sleep that well, but I still made a good go of it. The weather was in the low twenties but the humidity had me drinking pleanty of water. Some really top cache containers today which made the finding all the more hard. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts.
Found what we believe is the outer container but nothing inside. Seems to link to the clue and career of the dad.
I originally looked for the previous cache just after it had been muggled and I was surprised that I was taken to an altogether different location to search for it this time.
I came at it from the wrong direction and found that I had to push through a few bushes before the GPS had me in the right spot.
A pretty simple find in the end but a struggle to open as the outer container was cross-threaded. A bit of elbow grease and I had it open and then for a worrying second I thought it was empty and I would have to search the ground for the cache.
Thanks Pigwig. A nice dedication..

Found with Poynts95 and Sportacuss. Out and about around the Gold Coast, focusing the run mainly West of the Freeway, with Pigwig and Herbz caches featuring heavily, including some nice puzzle pickups. Another great day out in the area. Appologies for the late logs. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

Staying at big4, family gone to bed so off I go to find this. Only new to caching but amazed at the creativity of people hiding these little treasures. Thank you, that was a fun one at night.
Found this on my way back to airport, heading home after a week caching with family. Great hide...thanks for something a little different.

Out and about with the lovely nyssaflutterby and Nett88 trying to hunt down some animal caches and they let me drop in on this one as it was close to a coffee place that they wanted to visit. Love the containers, which confused me at first but then I saw what I had to do. All in good condition.
