Logs
Pulled in on the way to Raglan, hoping for a quick look over at the wind ward followed by a quick find. It was a clear day so the view was good but, as it turned out, it was not such a quick find. As I was rapidly approaching the point of declaring it a DNF when it was finally found. We had looked all around it but overlooked the actual hiding spot. TFTC
A nice little find on our way home to the Mount after a couple of days in Raglan. TFTC
Found it once I looked in the right end of the bush. Left one of my tiny heart rocks. Thanks for the hide.
Nearly gave up on this one. Got a few scratches trying to worm between the tree trunks. Its Not in the deep corner. Found it on the way out of the deep corner. Good luck fellow catchers! Thanks!
Making our way from Hamilton to New Plymouth today - grabbed a few caches on the way. Here a quick find at GZ - had to work out how to extract it - container has no lid TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
looked for this a couple of times going past with flossieteacake and not sure why it took us so long or how i managed to keep getting stuck on the same bit of tree but we were definitely glad when we had found it. TFTC
OK so I admit this has taken 2 attempts to find it. The first time we had 3 phones going, all pointing to various corners. Obviously we tried the hardest ones, and I almost got stuck between a tree and a post (hint, Persil washing powder will get the green slime from out of that nice, pink, flowery blouse), GeohoundandI almost got stuck on a couple of branches. Today I was driving back from Pirongia and had a bit of a thought. I pretty much drove straight up to it. and was back in the car looking for a pen before GeohoundandI had even woken up.The log was full so I added a piece of paper and put them both in a little tiny plastic bag.
Day 14: South to TaumarunuiTodays journey took us from Auckland down to Taumarunui as part of the first leg of our journey to New Plymouth via the Forgotten World Highway. We ventured out to Raglan as a little detour on the way to visit the Bridal Veil Falls / Waireinga as well. The day on the road was long but we enjoyed sunny skies and lovely caches all along the way and many a historic and scenic place. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:A fairly straightforward one here as there werent too many places for the cache to hide, though the location of the cache surprised me a little, I was looking a little lower initially. Interesting view to the wind turbines - I never knew it was that windy here. TFTC!

Up from Taranaki this Easter weekend and heading to Raglan for a looksee. Of course caching is involved because how else do you know where all the hot spots or not so hot spots are!? No one around at GZ and after bending my body around I spotted it. TFTC
Found with OwlieTeam. Cool spot, took awhile to find as was looking in the wrong corner. TFTC.
Spiders!! Grab and go. Baby owl slept through it. Thanks. Lovely day for a view of windmills. Found with the Camilias. Maybe new log needed as getting full.
Quick stop on the way to Raglan for a beach day with Jäger. Nice and easy find. Thank you for the placement!
Found it after searching for a while. Good hide! A beautiful day at Raglan beach was had before this cache. TFTC.
Our North Island Roadtrip from Whangarei to complete Tahi & Rua of the NZ Geotour - Day One.
Quick park and grab on our way back from Raglan. TFGC

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
This was our first day. We had an event in Whangarei to welcome in the new year. This turned into an ftf hunt with all the attendees in a convoy. This was followed by breakfast at one of the groups place. What a fantastic way to start 2023. We then headed off and visited Puhoi, Huntly, Ngāruawahia, Raglan and Hamilton ending our day in Te Awamutu.
I've never been to Raglan so this was an interesting place to come. Spotted the the windmills and quickly grabbed the cache. I drove through the Saddle Road in Palmerston North last time I was down there. It was amazing to see how huge these windmills actually are. Thanks for the hide

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day five, a soggy day driving from Whangarei to Te Kuiti and hopefully completing PWGT1.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
Not much in the way of a view today. Cache was a quick find by feel.

This was a nice place to stop on our drive back from Raglan to Auckland and we enjoyed looking at the wind turbines although we wish the lookout had been a bit closer so we could see them in more detail.
There was no one around and the cache was quickly located.
TFTC.

Day 10 of my Spring Holiday and spending a couple of days in Cambridge.
The sun is finally out today so we are heading over to Raglan for lunch and a look around.
Had a lovely lunch in the sun at the Orca Eatery and Bar before making our way up to the Ngaruni Beach Lookout. Time to head back to Cambridge and found this along the way TFTC

Thanks for hiding this cache McCutchan Cache Clan I appreciate it. A sneaky hide. JD was gloating as he spotted it.
First cache on the way to Raglan with my grandchildren.
All good and an easy find.
Thanks
All good and an easy find.
Thanks
Could not find today. Tree has grown and can't pass to the corner. Not too sure if it's even there going by last several logs.
Rummaged around for ages but still came up empty. It was a wet and miserable day so didn’t stay out too long.
Not sure where I went wrong here, headed to the indicated corner and had 2-4 metres all along but no cache found today. Another time maybe.
Spiderwebs, bugs and twigs...we went with our gut on arrival but came up empty handed. With fading light we used the hint and head slapped ourselves that we both missed it in our original scans of the area. Log signed. TFTC
Great hide spot. Second cache today with a friend. She is now addicted. Hahaha

Cool cache... Nice hide... No muggles it was a easy stop for us. Naes14 was with me
Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for the cache. It’s #1432 for us. We found your cache on 21 February 2021. That wasn’t an easy find at all but with stubborn perseverance and a GPS we finally tracked it down right at GZ. Trust the coords!
This is a good hide. Found after looking for ages but miss 13 found it. Tftc
Looked for quite some time as GPS was jumping around. Fresh new log is nice to see. On our way to Raglan.
Took a day trip to Raglan today and collected a few caches whilst we were here. Stopped off to view the wind turbines on our way home and found this well hidden cache whilst we were here.
Almost did not find it. Unfortunately found a piece of paper (on the ground) with the geo cache sign on it. Put it into another container that was lying around. May need some maintenance.
I came down to do some caching with nufrat today. No more long hikes or uphill climbs for today. This was a nice one to finish off the trip to Raglan. TFTC.
Nope. Couldn’t find it. Found the electric fence disconcerting. This felt a bit odd since CO has just done maintenance. My GZ could be off. Will try another day.
We missed this one when we drove in yesterday, so made a plan to collect on the way out.
No one else was in the car park. A lot less wind today, with many not moving. It was rebel98 who grabbed this one, I was still reading the hint/description.
Thanks again McCutchan Cache Clan for these hides, we have had a lot of caching fun in Raglan, a beautiful spot

On my way back to Auckland, but also need to visit Port Waikato for an adventure lab and a virtual. Pulled in here at the carpark and made my way over to GZ. My initial thought was the corner behind the trees, climber under and soon realised the cache wasn't there, tried the other corner to the right, still not there, then tried the corner closest to the carpark and STILL no cache, flamin' heck... I stood there pondering for awhile and thought this last corner I searched should be the correct corner, then I happened to look down, and there the cache lay on the ground! Whew... that was a close one, it blended in well with the ground. So now I have it, I signed the log and put it back as per the hint. Cheers McCCC, love the 'wind mills' across the road.
I expected it to be in a different area of the carpark.. found it easily enough though. Thanks.
We made a quick stop here on our way back home. The kids were keen to grab another cache and ran off to find it. They didn't have any luck but I spotted it. I forgot to include their caching name on the log (Straws2008), doh! They were impressed by the turbines. Tftc
Found it on my way home after hiking to the summit of the Karioi mountain. Easy find, thanks for hiding!
