A beautiful day for a walk along this trail. It had rained a bit earlier now the sun is out and the area smells fantastic. A lovely stroll to GZ where I quickly located the cache in great order. Took a pathtag that was left there too. Thanks geodes for the placement and n0w0rries for keeping it active.
17:01I came out this way to nab a cache that nobody else seemed to notice... which gave me a chance to visit this location as well. After stamping a challenge log, I decided I could do with a walk, so parked by the roadside and took a stroll down this trail. What a peaceful place. The cache was a nice easy find, having been very recently replaced. Thanks, Geodes, for highlighting a nice trail, and n0w0rries for keeping this cache in play.I was enjoying my walk so much that when I returned to the car, I headed across the road and explored the sculpture trail circuit before heading off towards home.#8345
A special trip out here today with +Wife. We were planning a visit last Saturday, but a mechanical issue with the Prado cut our journey short not far from Phoenix #1.Following a thorough search at GZ, the cache was replaced with a new log book. It's a beautiful spot for a walk. I clocked up 2 km by the time I returned to the car.
----------###**CACHE OWNER ATTENTION REQUIRED**###----------Th last 'Found'; log is a little suspicious, so perhaps it's time for the CO to visit and check the situation .Cache has been Disabled pending CO investigation. Please respond to this situation by **20th March**, to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. We looked for quite a while - however the tree is very overgrown at the base with long grass so the risk of snakes in mid-January was pretty high. Still, we had a good poke around but in the end the leeches beat us - half a dozen latched on and we had to give up.
Staying in Toolangi on the way home from Mallacoota, I decided to do this lovely river walk, hoping to find the cache. I found where the cache should be located easily, thanks to the good directions, but there was nothing there. I think this one has washed away in the recent rains, as there is a lot of debris around. Bah, I was hoping against hope to find this one intact.
Detoured through Healesville by the floods, pinnacle333 and I really enjoyed the walk here. We searched and searched round GZ using the hint, all to no avail. Very disappointed
Searched for ages for this one but came up empty handed. Found a nook/spot near a tree that looked perfect to house a cache but nothing there or nearby. No luck for us
New cache still there! Great walk, even better now I know there is a geocache on it
We replaced the container and put in a new logbook, pen and a few treasures. We didn’t have any ziplock bags with us so if anyone is thinking of finding this cache, it would be great if you could bring a bag to store the logbook in to keep it dry!
Spent a wonderful day (7 July) with 3 members of ILookedThere. Left Wang about 8.30 destined for Warrawilla rainforest walk. As Jodie pointed out in previous log, the walk we wanted was closed. The other walk was not ideal so we ventured on to our Caching. Yes, what magnificent specious of trees adorn the region here. Thanks to all CO's for placing the caches we enjoyed finding today. Some caches were truly water damaged and COs of those have been informed.
What a beautiful walk this was! We really enjoyed the beautiful ferns and rainforest type area! Us and OzReg had our walking sticks as it was a tad slippery and almost lost our way. Once we found the right path we were able to locate the cache. *Unfortunately the cache container was completely waterlogged. All log books were completely soaked. We were able to sign the log book but the container definitely needs to be replaced with something more waterproof* TFTC
Found with the kids on a nice bush walk. Needs some serious maintenance tho, still intact, log damp and a bit water damaged. Would have replaced myself but didn't have my stuff with me.
Very pleasant walk amongst the tall trees and ferns
Cache found as described and in reasonable condition (log damp)
Many thanx to Geodes

Been on a quick trip to Goughs Bay and back and my bum hurts from sitting in this car for so long. Time for a cache to stretch the legs.
A quick walk-by, maybe not but I was still all done and dusted in just over 30 minutes
**Thanks for placing this cache Geodes**

Had an appointment in Healesville this morning, so we came up to Toolangi for lunch and a walk to this cache. Very pleasant strolling through the bush. Tftc.
Enjoyed a stroll through this lovely area. Thanks Geodes for showing us another peaceful spot to enjoy nature.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 22/02/2019, find number 1398.
I was out with the MRs for a day exploring the Yarra Valley as we drove to Marysville. We found out about this spot at the information board at the chocolaterie in Yarra Glen and detoured up here for the walk. What a gem of a spot, we really enjoyed the walk and it was interesting to see the river when it is small, compared to its size further downstream! The water was clear and looked very inviting with today's warm weather.
We found the cache quickly but unfortunately the container is full of mould and water and is in need of some TLC.
My thanks to Geodes for the cache, this is a great spot for one!

its hide place when we walk and saw some people swimming river and beautiful place forest and thank you for show me
We came up to walk the Sculpture and Yea river trails and pulled up geocaching just to see... and tadaaaa!! We found it, not at the first tree where we looked but further on. Thanks!
Great walk that I would not have known about had I not been looking for this cache.
The cache was water logged as it hadn’t been shut properly. I tipped most of the water out but it is still very wet. The log was dry and in a sealed zip lock bag.

Found on 26 August 2018 at 1:44:50 pm. Find #2696. Awesome little trail. Dropped a PTfor next finder.
Thanks for the adventure.
Thanks for the adventure.
What a lovely walk! Enjoyed an afternoon with 88andy88 and we will be back to explore the area again
The *Lonely Cache Challenge* cache that requires you to find 10 caches where the second find was more than 90 days after the cache was published... and this cache just happens to be one such cache... the second find being 96 days after it was published. Knowing that... and having driven past here several times without having the time to stop... today I decided it was time I went out and found this one.
As the notes say, a much quicker walk than suggested... unless you stop to read all the interpretive signage. With the supplied information, the cache was an easy find too. Thanks **Geodes** for putting this cache here.

Great walk, however, Ninja Tortoise nearly met one of count dracula's friends, she might discuss it in her post. Anyhow all fixed with a little bit of blue-stone gravel.
Found with ICW. During the walk I was on the lookout for a roosting Powerful Owl, but didn't see one. I did pick up an unwelcome hitchhiker on my face -- a leech. Fortunately I found it before it could get its fangs into me. It is now pushing up daisies having joined the Choir Invisible. Tftc.
It's always a great thing to find a walk for the whole family with a cache along the way.
We all had a great time on the trail and even found a few blackberries to snack on. The day was made even better when we headed up to the sculpture trail and strolled along in the afternoon shade enjoying the art works.
Cheers Geodes, thanks for bringing us here.

was lovely and cool down here but no such luck. the sticky grass was cutting out legs (don't wear shorts) and l didn't have proper shoes on.
After completing the sculpture walk across the road, we came here to complete the Yea River walk. Nice, gentle walks here. We enjoyed the setting and made a quick find on the cache. TFTC.

A lovely walk through the ferns for this one. Thanks for bringing us here!
The cache was damp - we were able to clean & dry the contents & added a new logbook & pencil for the next finder.
Took - Nothing.
Left - Torch / Pin / Multitool

Yesterday I sent a text message to my husband with the details of this walk (not the cache as that wouldn't inspire his muggle-leaning self to go) I wanted to tie both the Yea Ricer walk and the sculpture trail into one pleasant figure of eight walk.
I set up early and packed 6 lunches , and made sure the kids were all in reasonable walking attire, and we headed off. We started with sculptures - the children were delighted with the ones that still stood - some have been lost to the elements a bit. We got to the point where you cross the road and head off to the River walk, so we followed that trail and admired the river. I was doing a bit of a furtive count down to the GZ zone, and ran ahead to search, trailed by two of the children. We made a very quick find, and dropped some nice swag in. Re covering the cache was a bit challenging as the cover was crumbling with the lightest touch, but I succeeded.
We headed back to the road and looked at the last of the sculptures and admired the magnificent information centre from the outside - what a shame it isn't open anymore. I realised my lovely packed lunches were sitting on the kitchen bench, so we made do with snack crackers and water, and took the slightly travel-sickness inducing scenic route home. I have attached some pics to the log of many of the sculptures- so worth the visit!

Quick find with Bingami while out walking with friends. Cache a little wet inside, needs a new snap lock bag, sorry we did not have a replacement with us. TFTC
This was the cache that really inspired our out and about adventure. I had read the description a while ago and thought this would be a good one for us. A lovely little walk that really did not take long. we got a few photos at the creek. I am glad it was not summer as i would have been worried about snakes to get this. cheers
Found it! Cleverly hidden and a great hiding place too! We found it after searching for a while in the vegetation but discovered it at yhe base of the tree. It was a bit damp but when opened, it was in perfect condition. Thanks for the awesome cache!
Found it! I was with the Walkabouter's today hiking along the Toolangi Tall Trees Trail and I found the cache on our lunch stop on the banks of the Yea River. Helps to read the full description before looking in places the cache is not! TFTC SL
We didn't bring umbrellas because we thought it wouldn't rain, but it did and we got soaked! Was a cool cache though!
GT02 Muttley! Spiffy- I had planned the drive from Healesville to Kinglake for the So Close series. Wild weather the night before meant our bakery stop had been cancelled due to power failure stopping them cooking My geosenses were good today and the hint helped. Despite having a big umbrella in the car, I left it there and the rain got really heavy and we were all soaked after... hot chocolate time. Thanks Geodes for the cache.
We had been meaning to go on a day trip to collect all the clues for the final cache in the "So Close" series to get only our second ever D/T 4/4 cache. So after the storms yesterday we headed out with the plan to grab the first one, have lunch at Healesville Bakery and then do the rest of the series.
That was the plan anyway, unfortunately all the storms had taken out the power and the bakery was closed. Even Coles was closed at lunchtime.
The power had just come back on though so we had lunch elsewhere much to the disappointment of Muttley! and GT02 but we soldiered on.
We managed to get all the clues needed for the day and made the final find late afternoon before the sun the went down.
To take a break from all the windy roads we stopped in here for a quick walk. Arrived near GZ and Fleabag- didn't even bring his GPS just used his amazing geosenses to find this one straight away. Wasn't raining when we started the walk but it sure was when we got back to the car.
Thanks Geodes for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Located at rear of large Mountain Ash under bark and wiregrass. Original logbook waterlogged. New Sandel log replaces it. My 1st geocache!
Double Yay being on the Yea River.

Couldnt think of a better way to spend Australia Day than on bushwalk with my Geofamily. Thanks for bringing us to this amazing location. We'll definately be back again. TFTC rodfra
Geoturtle wasn't up for a lot of walking today after taking a fall on the weekend, so we accessed the cache via a management track that was only about 250m each way. Once at gz It took a couple of minutes to locate the cache, which was quite wet inside, but the replacement log is still nice and dry. We look forward to coming back here for the whole walk when we are up to it. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
What a great walk.fantasic area to bring the family. Original log is soaked thou.there is a replacement one which I signed. Finally reached 100 finds.lol.
Didnt sign the log cos forgot pen. Old log book is drenched. There is a rainbow thong log book now that seems ok. Was a beautiful walk with my dig. Thanks for bringing me here. Will return with geofam and sign log another day.
What a superb walk to a great spot on the river, geomutt really enjoyed being able to have a romp off the lead - at least until she was jumped on by a rather playful but huge young hound, I think geomutt thought it was a bunyip after her so it was a very quick find and a rather brisk walk back to the car with geomutt looking over her shoulder the whole way! Cache was a little damp with the logbook very wet, attempted to sign but a bit too damp!
After readings Morcs4's log, I guess I can mark this one as 'fixed' - many thanks to them for their kind act in replacing the damaged cache - they're a credit to geocaching - (he says, as he slinks off with his head held low).
A lovely day to walk the Yea River trail. We found it after a short search at GZ. The walk back was accompanied by the eerie call of a goat in its paddock... if you're doing this at night it might sound fairly bloodcurdling. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
In the area catching up with family so took the opportunity to grab a few caches. Apart from the nearby goat curdling calls and the rodent eaten container and the soggy log book, we enjoyed the short stroll to the cache. Thanks Geodes
Loved the walk here. Due to the lateness of our start today we did not do the entire track. Definitely a plan though. Although we did do it twice as we replaced the cache with 1L different shape, non-camoflaged sistema container, log book (& ziplock) and trinkets. Beautiful area. TFTC.
Really needs attention. The cache has gapping hole and is falling apart. Needless to say the log is not in any fit state.
Early morning in the Yarra Ranges, the air was fresh and the sky was blue. It promised to be a great autumn day. This cache is in a lovely area and the walk to it was very enjoyable. Met with a woman walking her two labs (1 black and 1 gold). Found the cache OK, disappointing condition. Thanks Geodes.
Today we explored Black Range State Park and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found cache, but cache requires replacing. Has holes in it, and log is soggy as a result
I should have read a few logs before coming here as I could have played doctor. Cache container has been attacked by local wildlife and has holes top and bottom and sides too log book was little more than mush. Great spot for a walk and Logie and I enjoyed the leg stretch.
In the area so headed for this one next - and yes, it was hard to find the start of the path and I even drove up the CFA station and then the old forest discovery centre (closed now and looking a bit sad) where I saw a sign for the walk. Phew, parked and started the walk which was well worth doing. Got to GZ where the cache was found quickly and has other have noted, the container is cracked (lid and body now) and everything inside is very soggy. Left a piece a paper with my log but this one really needs a new container. Loved the walk though, thanks to geodes for putting it here.
Found after walking into the gz in what could be easily mistaken for a scene from Jurrasic park. Was in awe of the giant tree tops towering over me and the thick under growth. It was a bit wet under foot but I was dry even though it was lightly raining but it was not coming through the tree canopy. Found after a brief search but as mentioned from previous logs the container needs replacing due to some chewed out holes. Log book is wet but still managed to sign it, tftc Geodes and for the fantastic walk. Will give it a fave.
Found the cache after I parked in the wrong spot and added a few hundred meters extra to my walk. Cache was easily spotted alothough the lid has cracked and the container is now not moisture proof at all. Please see pics on my needs maintenance log. Log book was still signable, but does not have long to live.

I was expecting a sign to the Yea River Walk. Maybe I missed it. SO I parked at the closest spot on a side street and bush-bashed it to the cache. Wonderful spot. TFTC
Find #1163 logged at GZ at 13:54, will update shortly.... T4TC Geodes!
I was heading for the fire spotting tower when my TomTom chimed that a cache was nigh. I stopped and checked and thought that after the long drive from the western suburbs, a good walk would get me going. Luckily my GPSr had the track map, so it was easy to choose the right turns to reach GZ. I really enjoyed the reserve, which demonstrates how remarkably a forest can re-seed and mature after 75 years. I also enjoyed walking back along the brook. Thanks again Geodes for bringing me to this sanctuary. A fave.

Looks like no ones been here in a while, stuff inside is muddy and damp!
Hi Geodes, thanks for the great cache, but unfortunately its in need of some attention.
It has been chewed by rodents and has big holes in it and is subsequently soaking wet.
Sorry that we didn't have any supplies with us, so couldn't effect any sort of restoration. We made a bit of a bark hut in the hope that it keeps it a little more sheltered until you can get to it.
