Another classic, that really made me smile! Worth the slither down and the plod back up. Cache and all associated gear is in fine form. Thanks Wingaap!
Always love to find a wingaap cache. Headed to this area today, missed where we were going due to a waking event. We realised we hadnt found this one yet so decided to pull up and make the find. Thanks for adopting this classic Minniemoo.
Found it to finish off my May challenge. Having read previous logs and hiked this area before I brought my hiking poles! A spider made me shatter the peace and quiet of the bush! TFTC
I needed a Y cache to finish off spelling January and its not an easy letter to come by. So today I headed out to find Wingaaps Y.A.S.It was a nice walk down to the cache despite the January heat. The leaves were glistening in the rain; I could hear water rushing down a nearby creek; perspiration was trickling down my face and the air was so full of water it was leaking out occasionally.A nice easy find and another impressive creation from the cache master. I thought this was a very accurate picture of what my brain looks like these days. Im very happy to have another smilie on the map and another challenge complete too. Thanks for another great cache Wingaap! And thanks for maintaining this one 1MinnieMoo.
1MinnieMoo I found your cache Y.A.S on 21/6/2023, 1:40 pm. This is my find 5655 and find # 7 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After my trip out here yesterday, I thought I’d return to collect a couple more before my day kicks off…
Another bespoke Wingaap creation… the likes of which I’ll probably never see again…
I believe I reset the two parts properly…

I had the morning free, so decided to find a few more of the old Wingaap caches in this area. I should have taken my walking poles as it was very steep but a quick find and in good condition. Loved the smilie so a fp. Tftc
We started by trying to bush-bash towards this cache, when Shazzar66 realised that there was a fire trail nearby. Once I changed my maps, on Cachly ,from Apple Maps to my Offline map it was obvious that a fire trail was the way to the cache. I always wondered that was inside one’s head! TFTC
In the area to pick up some flags from Sunday's mini rogaine we thought Why not double the fun ? so collected a couple of caches on the way. This was one of them.
Steep yes, but nothing compared to the hills we had already climbed
Thanks wingaap for another great creation, and 1Minniemoo for taking on the maintenance

This afternoon, with a few errands completed and a pleasant weather afternoon, I thought I would head out solo back to Mount Nebo. I had previously attempted the geocache at that lookout six months ago but it was missing, and it has since been replaced. Then during my return back along Mount Nebo Road, I stopped at a few creative and high favourite wingaap geocaches, which closed out my enjoyable afternoon outing.
This was a steep descent down the fire track to arrive at GZ (and a harsher ascent upon my return back to the vehicle). After arriving at GZ, I soon spotted this large cache find, and some interesting metalwork art! The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and it's always nice to have yet another smilie find! Thanks wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This was our last find of the day and I was very happy to have a walking pole, the pathway down was quite steep. Arriving at GZ we headed across to a likely looking spot and there was a lovely creation, constructed in dedication to Fangsoki! I’m not sure if the model was also trying to look like Fangsoki or just look scary …. which ever, it is certainly a lovely creation and enormous work has gone into making this one.
After signing the log, it was a slow walk back up the very Steep Hill.
Thanks wingaap!

Yes we found Yas. Ha ha. Another wonderful creation well worth the time on out Mother's Day outing to stop and find. Love this cache hider, he is so creative and has spent so much time creating such wonderful caches that are such a joy to find. Thanks Wingaap. Appreciate every minute of your time to make and maintain these.
I found a few of the wingaap caches along this road back in 2014 and 2015, in the early days of my geocaching life and was immensely impressed with the creativity on display. I have been meaning to come back ever since and visit a few more along here but each time I head out this way it is either before sun up for the start of a long hike, or afterwards when the legs are just too tired to make an addition geocache visit.
Today I found my self out this way trying to suss out the final location for another cache. After no luck there, and with plenty of energy and time on my hands, I resolved to visit the rest of the wingaap caches on my to-do list.
I wasn't sure where best to park to access this one but my chosen spot proved to be spot on and it was a fairly easy walk to GZ. I had managed to forget my GPS, which was still sitting at home, so I was navigating via my phone. This sent me around in circles for a while before I was able to home in on another novel wingapp creation. TFTC

Heading down the mountain after a morning bush walk with BM75.
I stopped at a few traditionals that I had saved, or not yet found, up here.
Steep track in to this cache, just a short one, my knees appreciated it.
Great work at GZ, have an FP
Thank you wingaap

Out to continue my trad a day and my cache a day challenges, which is now starting to become a difficult challenge due to fitting it in with my work and the lack of local caches. While I managed to get away from work early yesterday, today I have come back to finish of the ones in this area and a few more up the road.
After doing power of the bush, blown away and hero or villan it was onto the next one. A very short walk into the bush to uncover this one, an easy find and with log signed and cache replaced as found I was back to the car to carry on my caches up the road. I needed this one for my 360 degrees from home and possibly for my July challenge.
Thank you for placing these in this area, I enjoyed the walk and the search.

Oh yes, another classic wingaap cache .
This one was on my list for a few reasons. 1) to spell MAY, 2) it's old-ish, 3) it's a wingaap cache, 4) great location, and 5) I wanted to get some fresh, cold mountain air. Tick tick tick tick tick.
Wingaap you are a creative master . The only thing I dislike about finding your caches is running out of favourite points. There's never been a wingaap cache that has not amazed me.
Picking up a bit of unloved here too, won't be long and I'll be able to count to 50.

Another day out chasing caches to fill both hidden date and hidden month. I sent a message to grannysmith1947 to see she would like to find some older caches today. Vee Tree was the main one today. She bought along Millie the geodog with her. We had a good day.

Had to face up to my fears to look for this one. I had to smile when I found. Good to meet face to face at last.

Not doing too badly today, despite really not feeling the fittest I've been, I had headed back to the car, finding, would you believe, and Archery arrow on my journey, and decided to find a closer spot to park for this cache, my last out this way today.
Finding that appropriate spot, I exited the geomobile and began my walk, collecting just about every spider web on wingaap drive in my process (minus the ones I collected on the way to the previous two caches). Soon I headed down, knowing this could only mean one thing.... I'd be heading back UP on the way to the car. Having acquired myself a spider web weapon, I decided this could also end up useful upon trying to walk back up the hill. But soon I was at GZ and finding myself a cache - I want to make a joke here about a loose cog or two but really I'm the only one who can be accused of that, Fangsoki is just a generally great guy, and the second gentleman of geocaching who I've found a deserving tribute for today.
Thanks for the cache wingaap.

I was headed back down the mountain after my visit to some nearby caches and I thought I'd pick up another Wingy cache. I found a very handy parking spot and made my way to GZ. Wow! I have no idea how you even started to make that one. Another ripper and well worth the visit. TFTC Wingy, another fave point for you
I was in the area this morning and spotted a cache with name starting with "Y". I need one of those for this month, so off I went. The walk was steeper than I thought it would be but the excellent cache more than rewarded me. TFTC! Another favourite point for wingaap!
We decided to hoof it here from the ones across the road instead of moving the car. That's a doozy of a hill...or maybe it was the numerous ups and downs we had already tackled today. Another awesome creation. Recycling at its best. Thanks wingaap.
Eskies5 and I have made many, many one day lists and today was a day to tick off a few of those. After texting backwards and forwards I came up with an extensive to do list around Mt Nebo (I am sure Eskies5 was shaking her head at me, even I thought we might need a weeks accommodation to get through it - just don't think the families would have agreed).
A mini milestone of 3200 was made by myself finding this happy little chappy. Rather than going back to collect the car we decided to head to this one on foot from the previous find. After a longish walk this morning and the legs a little tired we were questioning our choice and wondering how far down GZ was! The legs were certainly not happy on the return journey. We made the find quickly and Eskies5 had the pleasure of retrieving the log so we could sign our names, Another fantastic hide. TFTC wingaap

We first found a Wingaap cache in Stanthorpe, and made sure to see as many as we could. We were delighted to find out later that there are even more quite close to home. This is another classic, very unique and creative. TFTC
Such a cool cache! But such a cruel hill! At least it's short - It took longer to slip and slide down it. Cache had a few spider guardians today. All in good condition though.

I wondered what the heck this was so I had to read the description.
I've seen Fangsoki at an event or two and I don't think his head is quite that big. I'm happy to be corrected though.

What a great tribute cache and interesting stories on Fangsoki. At the Wingaap Drive interface, went down the road embankment to the waiting path below then kept going downhill to ground zero. Hide was quickly discovered and what an interesting container, definitely see what's in the mind of a cacher!! All the meshed gears and jumbled numbers / letters.
Good to get this one converted into a smiley. Have to admit that the walk back up the hill did not eventuate into a smiley on the dial. Thanks for the cache wingaap.

Out for a morning of bushwalking and caching along Wingaap Drive today, on a glorious Spring day. After parking nearby and a quick walk down the break, the container was soon found. FP for the construction, quite an effort there. My legs started to complain on the way back up the hill, but I wasn't listening .
This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #2826 for us. Thanks **wingaap** for showing us this spot. Discover our code TGQNRV, and mention where you saw it.

After grabbing Crow we decided to head over to this one as it could be used for the monthly spelling challenge, also I had read through the description earlier and was somewhat curious what you would have come up with. I don't know fangsoki and I don't know the relevance, but a really interesting cache. Wouldn't want to be a muggle that finds this in the middle of the night! Also found fangsoki's note in the logbook.
Last cache for the day but hopfully not the last wingaap cache I find during my Brisbane visit. Another great build, not just the front but the details on the inside. Thanks for a very memorable day of caching wingaap.
Lucky my heart and lungs are young and healthy enough. What a trek, but well worth it. This cache makes 100 finds for me. Thank you to all cachers, especially wingaap and k8&co. Bring on the next 100. Signed and returned.
Well we were going to do some geocaching on Camp Mt rd but it was closed .Mt Nebo rd end due to burn off so a change of plans thank goodness for mobile apps .
Thanks, I have to say this one was Yet another hard work smliey at least it was opposite to usual all down hill but very steep for us oldies yet again well worth the effort TFTC

On Fridays, I have an earlier finishing time at work, so, today, I met up with NurseyJulie to get our cache for the day. We had chosen this one as it met one of the criteria for the spell the month challenge. We parked nearby and made our way along the nicely graded track - my thanks to the rangers Then we turned a corner and the track went from fairly flat to steeply downward. Down and down we went. Finally, we reached GZ where NurseyJulie quickly located the cache. After admiring the handiwork of the CO, we signed the log and rehid the cache. Then we had to walk back up to get to the car! TFTC
Needing a Y this month for a challenge cache, Selva Girls and I met after work and made our way to the GZ. How nice that the rangers have recently graded the pathway here . Following round and down, we got to the GZ to discover the excellent handicraft of the CO. Then we discovered this had not been found for a few months and everything in excellent condition. I rescued the TB for onward travels. TFTC wingaap
So here we are looking for a cache that starts with a "Y" to help with the new challenge that the man of the hour has put out. There were two we could go for, so it seemed only fitting to go for this one.
(It looked easier too)
Drove past the entry point looking for a closer point, but soon came back to the first one. Set off on a reasonably good track, but a short time later...hmm, that way
Slowly make our way to GZ and quickly locate another well constructed wingaap cache.
Log signed, Larry739's motogrrl Memorial Geocoin dropped in.
A FP from me. TFTH

What a perfect weekend! Two days out in the bush together with my girlfriend, our mountainbikes, our tent and some really nice Steaks. Besides camping in the bush we found in total 34 caches Thank you very much wingaap for showing this area. Just because of you and your famous and so lovely caches we visited this area, so thanks a lot.

Arrived at the coordinates after an extreme steep path downwards. here and there a little bit of sliding, but not cache or something at the coords. Looking at the feedback from others (Brilliant! A favorite point, Another masterpiece, and many more). I may overlooked the cached as I had expected something in the style of the other finds.

From the crow we found a little trail to continue along on to gz. A steep little descent found us at gz. We found YAS chilling out with a nice big smile to greet us, very well crafted cache. Now to get back up that hill. Tftc.
Very cool cache with lisylou and remsjw and jemalucy and misssussan79 and mnance101
Out caching with Misssusan, Lisylou, jemalucy, Remsjw, and Bennyboppers. Nice easy find. Amazing cache once again. I love how you made this one. Hard walk up the hill. TF another smilie!
Second in our wingaap caching adventure today. Don't know what was better; sliding down on our butts to reach the cache or the craftmanship that went into it. Sad to say I left my camera in the moosemobile and I wasn't about to dash up and back again, so we signed the log, marvelled at the creation and replaced it before making the more difficult journey back up. tftc wingaap. My favourite creation of the day.
I was a bit disgruntled when I reached this one. Some irate driver was so close to my bumper I couldn't see his bonnet. I knew I had to stop but was a bit nervous. With indicator flashing I slowed to almost a stop and moved as far left as I could. He hurtled past me and was gone in a flash. Had visions of coming across his crumpled wreck further on. Parked and walked to the 'drop off'. Almost turned away but thought I'm so close. Set off down the hill slipping and sliding. Did I mention it was raining now? Muttering curses under my breath I made it to GZ. All is forgiven wingaap, what a ripper of a cache. Did the necessary and now to try to get back up there
(P.S. Just realised this is my 700th)

It feels like years since I last drove along this road. I still have a few smilies left to find along here and they are increasingly high up the close to home list.
I parked opposite the gate and switched footwear: just as well! I nearly skidded here and there getting down, but my shoes held up. Arrival at the GZ led to lots of laughs and photos. Great stuff and nice to be back on WingAAP Way. I think this may even be my most favourite yet! Cache and contents are in excellent shape.

Sitting on the couch the previous night and I received a message from Mr Prime. "I have a few questions for you, the first of which being, are you working tomorrow?" I informed him that I started at 10am and asked why, Oh you want to do wingaap way? Ok I will see you before 6am and we will do as much as we can.
This was the first one of the morning that I hadn't already found so I was very happy to get Yet Another Smilie. Prime and I got out of the car and went for a Chirping Meander towards the cache. I was really happy that it wasn't Summer of 2013 yet because it was hot enough as it was. As we headed to the North Quarter my shoes started to give out on the incline and it was very slow going.
We were eventually at the well constructed (no surprise there) cache. We signed the logbook and headed back up to the car. By the time I got there I could really feel my 2 feet and a heartbeat. I grabbed my Colour Personal Computer and added the cache to my saved list and now i can finally log it.
Thanks for the great cache Wingaap!

Early morning start today to 'grab a couple' with the incredible Net88 joining me for the first few hours since I was heading up Wingaap Way. It's still early, and while my coffee continued to nourish me in the car, this one needed two feet and a heartbeat (see what I did there huh? Yeah, I amaze myself sometimes). The trundle down to GZ was a bit slippery for both of us with less than optimal footwear on, so the 2 feet part almost failed us both, but we managed to arrive intact and made another masterful find. Being great mates with the dedicatee I'd actually targeted this one as the reason I decided on this area at all. Being Wingaap Way it was well past time I journeyed here anyway, but this was the first feature cache. Glad to have ticked it now into Yet Another of my own .
Umm, "cries of astonishment"? or something like that. The Vodka option is much more realistic.
Certainly got the heartbeat going coming back up too.
Thanks for placing this cache, wingaap. Found in good condition.

Y A S indeed. Too much botox on the slopes of Mt. Nebo. We didn't need an injection to fix a smile on our faces. Using the cache contents, we typed in GO, put the legs in low-- low, and up the hill we went. Thanks for your work on this one.
It seems that today it is quite a common little happening that I am finding people watching me in the bush when I am wandering around. Just lucky for me the people watching seem to be cache guardians and soon give up the cache when they realise I am a friendly cacher.

Out and about with the lovely lady membsec for a bit of an adventure, lunch and a couple of caches. We headed down the hill when all of a sudden.... OOOOWWWWWW! Some silly wasp decided that he didn't like me invading his territory and decided to bite me on the elbow. I swatted him off me and he flew away, but then turned around to have another go. ARGH! I ran off to hide behind Lady membsec, he must have been scared of her as he changed his mind and flew off in the other direction. We continued on down the hill with me trying to ignore the burning.
We arrived at GZ and it wasn't long until the very funky cache container was found! What a beauty!!! And a great tribute to a great cacher A few photos taken, signed the logbook and then replaced the smiley cache to where it belonged.
TFTC wingaap a favourite point from me!

Thought I'd do my bit to help the CO achieve 20k finds on his hides. Today I ventured to some unfound caches at the top end of Mt Nebo Rd.
After a slippery slide down the steep hill, I found myself at GZ. I thought I was looking in a mirror by he size of that smile! Everything was nice and dry.
TFTC Wingaap. Another favorite.

After a slippery slide down the steep hill, I found myself at GZ. I thought I was looking in a mirror by he size of that smile! Everything was nice and dry.
TFTC Wingaap. Another favorite.

Our last along Wingaap Drive today - and I loved this one as well - wasn't sure exactly what to expect. Ms CF again opted to stay up on the road while Mr and Master found a spot to drop off the road and head down the trail. As we were chatting and walking down, down, down, Mr CF checked the GPSr to find we were 1m from the cache. A quick search there - no and then there - yes. I hadn't read the cache notes closely but did spot a few things that were in the mind of the cacher. Only coconuts in mine of recent times - and all to no avail.
Thanks again, wingaap, for a set of great caches. Hope to cross paths with you again at some stage - its been a while.

Found with arewetherejr. Another steep hill, or so it seemed with a 3 yo on my back.
Great cache. Thanks.
Great cache. Thanks.
Out with IolantheK for the day. Having not read the description we were intrigued by the name of this one. Turns out it was not what we were thinking it meant ;-D I did the rubik's cube in the cache whilst IolantheK signed the log
Out and about in the company of teamdfl
I just love caching along wingaap way, as the surprise waiting at GZ is always fun And this one brought smiles to our faces again We had a play with the Rubik's cube, and dfl neatened it up again [^] TFTC, wingaap. Have another favourite point.

Was half way to the cache through the bush when I found the highway leading straight to the GZ, naturally. Slipped and slid down to the cache, admired the work that went into this, a lot of thought and skill goes into every one of these. Signed the log and then wondered if I was going to make it back up the highway I had found, anyone got a tow rope? TFTC
Luckily I stayed on the track for this one as it's tempting to bush bash from where I parked.
I enjoyed finding another classic wingaap hide......that's some awesome eyebrows.....a few cogs worth in fact.
Thanks for Y.A.S.

Great imagination and inspirational caches. There was great thought and work put in to this series. Found with GBNZ. TFTC
Skidded down the hill to find this big fella poking his nose out. Another Wingaap master piece.
Last one before dark.
Ahh very clever!
Funny stuff.
Thanks for a great evening, wingaap

Yes, I smiled alright! Someone is very artistic with their creations and to add to the pleasure a walk to make you sweat and stagger and a lovely ammo can! The weather today was perfect; sunny, warm but not too warm and a slight breeze. The smell of the bush was another bonus and best of all; no one else around! I left behind a few trinkets to reward those who tackle that hill (down was worse than up with my creaky knees!). TFTC!
No 22 for the day. Wingaap you are a genius. Great and clever caches, weather perfect and a change to travel a road never travelled before by us. Plus great bush walks and the most intriguing caches. We had a fabulous day thanks to an innovative cacher.
Thanks fangsoki and wingaap. I first bumped into fangsoki while Geocaching about a year ago and did another time again since! That guy sure does get around! TFTC
Found with Bedmaker today.
We had two choices to get to this one... walk up there and down or take the more direct route. We decided to take the direct route down the slippery slope. Actually it was quicker and a little bit of fun.
The cache was found no worries... ah yes, very clever Mr Wingaap! Many of these thoughts roll around in my head too.

Found with TassieGirl while out caching in this area today.
A great cache from the mind of wingaap, I'm sure Mr Fangsoki was most pleased by it, loved all the relevant bits and bobs inside.
Cache was all ok and we found it after taking a direct route straight down to it.
Of course then we saw the track so we had an easier walk back up.
TFTC.

It was starting to heat up when Stairman1, Tiamet, geodog and I headed towards this one. It was quite a hike down the steep hill but well worth it. What another great container. We signed the log and then trekked back up that steep hill. Thanks wingaap

This was a real treat. This is the first time we have seen such a well crafted cache. This gets a favoutite from us. The kids were very excited. I thoroughly reccommend this one. A short walk from the car along a 4WD track. TFTC!!
