This morning, I needed to help with baby Warren's first birthday, but I was able to briefly escape for a run at Mitchelton 5 km parkrun. I managed to visit a few geocaches in the area prior to the [International Coffee Day Coffee](https://coord.info/GC9ZXAB) event, and then needed to grab a few errands in preparation for the party ahead.
After the geocaching event, I needed to stop off at a bakery to grab break, and after parking, I noticed that this archived cache was nearby, so I figured I may take the chance and have a look, despite the fact that it had been archived and not found for more than seven years. To be honest, I was quite surprised to not have any luck with this cache, as I quickly narrowed down its likely hiding area, and it seems quite unlikely for a muggle to have come across it. Between a few past photos, the hint and past logs, it felt like I checked the logical spots, but alas, this long archived cache must have been collected in its past. Thanks anyway Amethyst_Cat for the cache placement.

Decided it's time to close this one down - I've never been super good at keeping up the maintenance on these things and find myself preferring to find caches more than create and maintain them. Feel free to set a new one up in the vicinity!
We found this geocache traveling from the SunnyCoast to Ipswich, and other cities near Brisbane and Brisbane itself
Thanks for this Cache!
Thanks for this Cache!
A quick pick up nice and close to the station. Scribed my name on one of the many loose pages in the cache. Nice view for trainspotting here. tFTC
Tried to get this one when I first started caching. got it today after stepping back and waiting for another train.
I had looked here when I first started caching with no luck. Back today and spotted it this time!! TFTC!
A street festival in front of the shops distracted the muggles and gave me cover to search. Quick find, TFTC
Didn't find it! Was way too many muggles in view. Had my sister calling out to me saying I was a weirdo..
So I will be back!!!
So I will be back!!!
Dnf which is strange given that someone else found it just this morning. No find or logbook.
Had a good idea when arrived at the parking spot where this one would be. Went almost straight to it. My spider senses where working today.
Today we explored Ipswich and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Visiting here today with partners family, thought I'd jump and grab a cache while here. Spotted this one to be close by and with a few places I expected it to be, quickly spotted the cache and was on my way thank you !
FINALLY FOUND IT!!
after probably five attempts we finally got it, didn't have a pen so will go back and sign. Great cache!

Did not find it. Looked for awhile but 2 year old was being difficult so we gave up. We will be back!
I have looked for this on four separate occasions and still haven't found it.. Help!?
Bumped into some cool kids in the street and all eight if us were searching for about 20mins. Found it eventually. Such a fun time.
TFTC. This has been calling me for awhile. Now drive past this most days on the way home from work. Not many people around for a Friday afternoon.
A quick find after visiting a nearby bakery. Darn pen decided to run out of ink though! Thanks
!!!!! Tftc!!!! I enjoy the odd railway cache so came here to do this one easily found thanks for bringing me here !!!!
Second time lucky for me on this one but then had my secret weapon - geo-son with me who found it very quickly. Good hide. TGTC
Second attempt at this one whilst waiting for our takeaway dinner to be prepared for us nearby so thought we'd (with rwjmc) have another go... And we found it!!!
Couldn't find this cache. Even with a hint and 4 people looking no luck. Look forward to finding this one soon.
It's not here anymore people! Reasonably obvious location and searched for 30mins but not here. Need a new one.....
Nice chilly night for caching. Glad we found the cache in a nice safe place. TFTC
Found with the help of the images. Replaced it a little lower as I could barely reach it - anyone shorter would have been out of luck. Nice hiding spot
Quick look while waiting for fish and chips dinner to be cooked, no find at dusk between muggles and trains!
I was in the area today and decided to have a go at this one. When I arrived at GZ, I quickly spotted a possible hiding spot. Easy find! TFTC!
Needing a cache for today, ventured up to this neck of the woods. A nice little tree lined area too. A quick find once you looked at the right angle. TFTC
A special trip to Samford Village with Ruzzelz this morning and after breakfast at the Flying Nun, I was meandering back to Brisbane in Sooty the cachemobile.
Slowed down by a passing train and then this cache was, literally, a walk past and log Popped into a store for a drink.
On we rolled...

back today for another go at this one. After a bit of a feel around I had the cache signed and replaced. TFTC
What a laugh , just as we assumed we knew we touched a black box & a voice went hellloooo... Nearly had a fit ... &
Found but didnt have a pen to sign, will sign next time. All in good order with cache
Getting the cache wasn't the problem, putting it back muggles started appearing from everywhere! TFTC
My compass kept knocking me about for a while so went back and forth over the road a couple of times till I realized the most logical spot and there it wad stealth is required for this one lots of muggles
Wandered down for a coffee and spotted this fella while waiting for a train to pass. TFTC
Would have been here all night if it wasn't for the hint in the photos. TFTC Scott and Ildi
Yay! was looking for ages and knew I was in the right spot...just had to look a bit harder and didn't need to get all scratched up by the bushes after all , forgot pen so will have to come back another day to sign. Visiting from wollongong so really enjoyed getting out to explore...tftc
Out for day geocaching with seffnjarah. Had a great day finding all these wonderful caches. Thanks to all the cache owners for making our day great.
An early start to a day of caching with Buzzgirls had us quickly to GZ where we could search pretty much undisturbed. Evenyually located and log signed. Tftc.
Not where I expected, but safer than where I thought. Quick nab with mstrCam. Tftc!
Decided to hit this one after buying Brisbane's best jerky at Geronimo's. Co-ords put us on the train boom, after widening our search the cache was located. Thanks
In Gaythorne for QFHS Open Day for family history buffs. Decided to look for a local cache. This one popped up. I always love railway level crossings. Had some fun walking around this one, always love the delicious danger of crossing the tracks. Whoopee!
Decided to take my time here and not panic. Thanks to the spoiler photo I was able to position myself close to the cache, then with a little stretch I could get it. But the log was useless. So back to the car to put together a replacement of sorts, then back to GZ to effect replacement. A train was coming so had to be quick. A free ranging chook came up to me, had a chat, then wandered off over the road.
So that's my cache #14 for August, thanks Amethyst Cat.

I found this cache after a lengthy search not where it should be. It seemed that it had fallen down from its original location and was just laying in the leaf litter. Also the toys that had been placed in the cache were making it very uncomfortable for the log book and making the lid uncloseable so the log is rather damp now. I have removed them, sorry, but they are not necessery in such a tiny cache. Log signed and cache less cluttered, I returned it to where I thought it should be using photos that I could see on the cache page.

Looked at a few likely spots, with no luck, then stood back and noted something that looked a very likely hidey hole Looked at it from a few different angles, and bingo - there's the cache
Cache was full of little toys which meant the log was a real pain to get out. Log is looking rather worse for wear (and it's pretty full too) - might want to replace it soon.

Got to GZ and searched a few spots with no luck. We then widen our search and Matt found the cache . Logbook looks full so we signed our names in the first available space we found . Found with Matt_Eth . TFTH Amethyst_Cat .
We found this after walking around in circles as our GPS was playing tricks with us. My 8 year old was very excited as it was the first time he had walked over a train track and 'touched it'. We were a bit confused by the description and realized not to take it literally and then found it. A great day to be out and about. Thank you for the cache Amethyst Cat it was great to be taken to a rail crossing for something different!
Absolutely last one on a wet night of caching. Grabbed between train loads of muggles arriving near GZ. TNLNSL. Log a little damp, but then it has poured all day.
Thanks Amethyst Cat for the cache.
Thanks Amethyst Cat for the cache.
New to the game, thought I'd start with a relatively easy one. Got an
early mark off work and gave it a go. Happy to say I found it quite
quickly
Now Im hooked. Cant wait to get out there again
