This was a sneaky sneaky hide and it took the team 2 attempts to finally come up with the goods. Definitely deserves a favourite point from me for the ingenuity of the container . Signed as CREW for team Cybergran V, Ronice88, SciFiRulz (Evelyn) and weirdobiker.
Two of us looked first with no luck, then the other two looked and came up with the goods. Very tricky.Log signed as CREW for team Cybergran V, Ronice88, SciFiRulz (Evelyn) and weirdobiker. A little while ago a plan was hatched to head to Wagga Wagga to find some puzzles we had solved, and generally to have a fun time caching. We only had a couple of days to race around finding as much as possible, we could easily have spent a week with the number of caches in the area. We were very lucky with the weather, a fine two days with rain either side were just perfect. We really enjoyed our stay and the quality of the caches, and maybe we will be able to return another time to make inroads into all the ones we didn't get to find.TFTC
SciFiRulz and I spent way too much time searching fruitlessly for this one, but Ronice88 discovered the very clever tricky little devil with weirdobiker and we were all very happy to have our CREW acronym added to the log eventually.A favourite point from me for the ingenuity.
Tricky find, but found pretty quickly by senior dog. Juniors were going to run out of patience. Thought we may have had a DNF- but got it done!TFTC
Trusting the coordinates and taking old logs into account we found the nasty hide. D2!?!TFTC.
Took some time, but we eventually got into the mind of the CO and found Pedro. TFTC
#13581 18:00A tricky hide that took us more time than expected. But that is expected with a Fred cache.Another good hide that was found after reading some of the previous logs.TFTC Fred6603
Searched everywhere but was unable to come up with the goods today.Searched piles of fresh grass clippings to no avail.
I needed a find today so we decided to make it this one. A very very tricky hide, I had to have some help.I think the D rating should be higher. Thanks for the cache Fred6603, MrsRoosta
Better luck today as the GPS was happier, and I had a small hint from the CO. Looking forward to Pedro's brother making a debut.
This was our last cache in Wagga.... and we're looking for a Mexican..? This may not go well smilie-wise. After a good search we got into a better good search. I still wouldn't have found it but MrG's total faith in the GPS was rewarded. Gotcha Pedro!
'a nice easy one...' We hate to think what a D5 might entail.. TFTC Fred6603.

I was in town for a few days to catch up with Mr & Mrs Roosta and also our Mutual friends Ski Pair, was hoping for warmer weather but it was just as cold here as it was in West Gippsland.
After having a DNF here some time back it was good to finally turn this one into a smile, nice hide as always by the CO.
Thanks Fred6603 for the cache.

We finally found this one on our second trip to GZ for the trip and only after using a PAF. What a well-crafted and devious hide!
We suggest it would be missing a lot of favourites simply because of cachers inability to find it. Certainly worthy of a higher D rating.
Some fine workmanship in creating it. A favourite from us.
After a longer stay in Tumut than we had originally intended it was time to move on. Time spent with family is never wasted though, so our time there was very well spent and much enjoyed.
We didn't move far however and have arrived in Wagga for a few days where we have caught up with Roosterman and Mrs Roosta again and then also joined by Rebel Acts. The team back together!
The weather has been variable and made approaching some caches challenging due to the accumulated water and mud. And boy has it been cold at times!
Still we have chased a variety of caches and managed to find some high D/T ones on our way.
Always a great time caching with good friends.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Fred6603.

Made a new cache this morning and arrived on site to replace Pedro but found him alive and well in his secure hiding place. So thankfully no maintenance was required. Cleaned him up a bit and left him a little bit more exposed.
Pedro now has a twin brother I will just have to find a place to hide him.

DNF at 3:16 PM.
No idea! Pedro has gone underground! Looked all along the fence line and even jumped the fence and searched the nearby tree - nothing could be found.

Nil joy today, spent far too long at the tree looking in all the normal places, far from an easy park an grab. Also, major works going on in the area. A lot of water has gone through the area of late, this my have had an impact on the cache.
Very clever!
This was our second attempt. After a bit of searching we finally found it.

We are trying to find the closest cache to each orienteering event we take part in. Today it was this geocache. Found with more orienteers on our way out.
A quick find thanks to other orienteers who happened to be looking for it already. They found it first and we all shared the logging duties. A well made cache. TFTC
I spent the weekend in Wagga for work. The highlight of any trip to Wagga is Fred6603 caches. Before I left Canberra I only solved one of the Rubik's Tube puzzles. So I decided I would try this one as my Fred find for the weekend. The plan is to try and solve the other Rubik's Tube puzzles (so far, no luck!), and make a dedicated trip west to grab them and whatever other caches I can in the time I have.
So thanks Fred6603 for the cache and I look forward to as many more of your challenging caches as I can get to.

Day 268 - Today was a day to go into the town of wagga for the normal shopping and doctor visits so along the way a short detour was made to collect our daily cache and it was after a short search of the incorrect location as a previous cache finder of this wonderful cache it was soon realised it was not in the original location and a check of the GPS was made and the new hiding spot was soon zeroed in on and the reward was soon found.
Thanks Fred6603 for bring us here to collect our daily cache today.

On a geocaching road trip from Brisbane to the Mega in Queanbeyan via a little detour through South Australia and Victoria.
Stopped here to visit this one as we have a cache of the same name at home. Luckily I'd already done the hard yards on that one so made a quick find here.

I already had an idea of what the Mexican might look like
And sure 'nuff there it was

That was clever!! At first I wasn’t sure about this obstacle as it didn’t fit with your style but then a call to a PAF to confirm location and hubby put his fingers on another cleverly constructed and well hidden container!!
We headed over to find another 'Fred' cache and DSD was hoping it would be his 3000th find. What a tricky container and a great way to start the day. Many thanks for the cache
Pretty cool cache. Found with Kittykatch, AngelG27 and Darksidedan on a caching weekend to Wagga. Been a great day and loved seeing a different part of the country. Thanks for bringing us here

Back in Wagga for another weekend of caching - this time with Kittykatch, Joolay and DarkSideDan. A couple of the power trails in our sights, but a few others besides!
Unless otherwise indicated, caches found and in good order. Another Fred6603 cache found -easy after the last one. Fav of course!
Thanks Fred6603 for the cache and the fun!

Well after not being able to do much caching over the Easter weekend because I had other more important stuff on, I thought I would go and try and find more of Wagga today on my day off. This became a cache hunt for the ‘Groundspeak Planetary Pursuit’ and also the ‘GCA GeosportZ 2018’ activities currently occurring. (For those that don’t know, GCA means Geocaching Australia.) These activities, the joy of finding caches, lunch and a bit of shopping led to a great day out. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found, the caches I didn’t find but still enjoyed and for the fun I had today.
This one was next on the need to find list. I have attempted this one many times before and always ended up with a . This time, my GPS was showing a different GZ then all my other attempts. After closer inspection of the new GZ location I managed to make the find. TFTC and letting me change a into a !

Well fashioned cache Failed on a Fred6603 cache yesterday so I’m glad to find one of them today.
Found on the 05/08/2017 at 11:09:00 AM.
The last day of a caching road trip with J+J, we unfortunately had to focus most of our time covering the distance to get home. A 5 hour drive to Wagga Wagga first to find a power trail and then home. Although we did manage to grab a couple of others along the way.
A well made cache.
Thanks for the all the caches.

10624. Found during a caching run down to the Wagga region this ANZAC Day long weekend.
Day 3 of my trip dawned and this was the next cache on my list. As I've done a similar cache in WA with the same name, I arrived and looked for a particular object - which I found straight away - happy with that ! This one is nicely set up as well. Log was signed, cache returned and I headed off to the next one.
Thanks again Fred6603 !

We found this while investigating the site for some scout activities. The find was not incidential as we had to search fairly intently and Eagle Eye Lil was the one who realised that appeared to be in place was not what it could be. We will return for more activities and to find the caches on the hill. Thanks for cunning hide.
Out for a couple of "Wagga's Best" while staying in the area for a few days. This one was definately on the list!
Pedro was playing hide & seek. We called out to him when we reach GZ but he refused to answer our call. It took a bit of searching but we finally found him! Hurray!!
Another great cache Fred6603!
Here goes another fav point!!

Please be discreet when retrieving and replacing this cache so that it will hopefully last a bit longer and don't go showing the bikers the cache location like some previous finders did.

We were in the area chasing Rusions but were unable to find this one, am sure it's gone
A tricky hide, picked and placed perfectly for this location.
Had me guessing for a few minutes - well done.

Found by Mary & David at 0955. Several years since we last cached in this lovely reserve. Even the name makes us smile. Finding the cache took us a while, but we were delighted when we discovered it. Great container, which earns a favourite from us. Our thanks to Fred6603.
Very clever cache indeed. fave point from moi. Thank you for placing this cache
Apologies for the late log. I found a list of caches that I had found and not logged.
I met my son in Wagga for a days geocaching.
This cache is a very clever hide. Never seen one like this before. Most unexpected cache container.
Thanks Fred for the hunt .

Super sneaky hide loved it. Minus the heat almost gave up but found in the end!!! With chuze and joshwa27
Out early today to get a few caches in the cool of the morning before having to retreat to our airconditioned caravan as the termperatures rise in the afternoon. These caches around Wagga gave a great chance to have a look around and to marvel on the creativity of some of the hides. Clever and a fav point alloc. Thanks to Fred6603 for placing this cache.
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Fred6603. We found your cache "The Mexican" at 11:31:00 AM today,. This cache makes our find count 10029.
[Blue]
We are attempting to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014. Our route today took us to and past some really wonderful & scenic locations.
We finally found this one.It hasbeenonour DNF list since 2012.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for its ingenious construction.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,

Another one DNF'd on a previous visit, but with all the goings on with it, stopped by today on the way home to check it out again. Found after a few minutes this time, obviously not looking hard enough last time around.

Back online with a brand new log sheet after the previous log sheet was vandalised by GrumpyBump.
This is a micro log sheet so please be considerate and only use one line per team.
This is a micro log sheet so please be considerate and only use one line per team.
Offline as Grumpybump has childishly defaced the log sheet and it will have to be replaced and as a consequence of his childish behaviour his log will also be deleted.
He apparently has a problem with being caught cheating. Out of 9 of my caches that he has logged online he had only signed the log in 3 of them. I only decided to check the logs after it was pointed out to me that his name was not in the log for Old&New. There are still 2 other caches that he has logged but I haven't checked yet. That should prove interesting.
After I challenged him about it he went and found Old&New and defaced the logsheet by writing in large letters with a thick Texta rendering the rest of the Micro log useless. I also found the cache container damaged and have had to also take it offline for repairs.
He has now visited this cache and defaced the Micro log by writing in large letters with a thick Texta obviously my punishment for having the audacity to require him to sign the logsheet as per Groundspeak guidelines.
Note to all Geocachers: If Grumpybump logs your caches check the log as there is a 66% chance that his name will not be there as that is the percentage of missing signatures in my caches.

Note to Grumpybump.
All you have to do is sign the log sheet. The reason that your log was deleted was that you had not signed the logsheet which led me to believe that you were falsely claiming a find and after your childish behaviour at Old&New I had no alternative but to delete your false log.
I will check and if the log sheet has not been signed or has been defaced like you did at Old&New then your log will be deleted again.
Just stick to the guidelines and you won't get logs deleted.

Central Australia trip Crossing the Simpson and Innaminka, August 2014. After many years away from the Oodnadatta track and Innaminka, it was time for a another tour. This time in Company with seven cars to tackle the obstacles. Caching opportunities were a little thin, but the ones that were out here are all in great places. My first for the trip proved very difficult. After I knocked over all the more likely spots, I looked in some less likely spots and saw something interesting. Happily it had the cache. Thanks.

Found on our Wagga Wagga trip. Well this was definitely a very memorable one. Parked right next to another car, which was next to GZ, where as the rain was disappearing, we started looking. We looked all around in all the small details of most of the locations that it could be. Then as we were about to give up, two mountain bikers came back from their ride. We said that we were geocaching and explained what it was. So they helped out for a while we they were packing their bikes. Just as they were about to leave, we finally put our hands on the cache. We absolutely loved the genius of this container - we never would have guessed it. A favourite point from me. TFTC Fred6603!

A long standing DNF on this one finally fixed today. Now I've found it, I don't feel so bad as it well hidden and camouflaged, and probably only found because I heard another cacher talking about it months ago. Probably rates more than a two star.
Great hide. Thanks Fred.

Well the clock struck midnight while we were up the hill so returning back to the car we decided to give this one, one more search. This time success, how we missed finding it at the beginning of our journey up the hill is beyond me. Cache had no paper in it so we replaced it signed and moved on.

2632. This one turned into a very mysterious mexican. After an unsuccessful attempt a little earlier with quite a search conducted, the sneaky little critter appeared within seconds on our return from a walk up the hill. Now, how does that happen???? May be because it was now a different date!
Thanks Fred6603 for a mystery of a different kind.

Well it was Mission: Wagga Wagga time again. The original plans were for Boot65, specimenX and myself to go and attack Wagga Wagga and crack some of those puzzles that we have been working hard on solving. Unfortunately some circumstances changed which resulted in specimenX being unable to attend this weekend. So an inpromptu phone call was made at the 11th hour through to FurfacesLL to fill that 3rd spot in the motel room. After some quick sweet talking, we had FurfacesLL lined up and ready to join. Oh the fun is about to begin......
It was an action packed weekend for sure. We had a large number of laughs and wore ourselves out to the brink of passing out. Our adventures ranged from nice simple traditional 1/2 star finds right through to a full blown 5/5!! There was manic tree climbing (by monkeyman Boot65), Cliff climbing, canoeing, trying to crack open some very well constructed caches (often resulting in 3 "tools" getting frustrated and then all laughing at each other as it all comes apart so simply) and some long night adventures till early hours of the morning.
With WP1 of the 5/5 marked off last night, we headed out and had an attempt at WP2 this morning after getting some sleep. We had a bit of a slower start this morning, but after a feed at a local cafe, it was time to get the ball moving for a big day of caching. As we wandered over to WP2, there were a couple of "hairy" moments where I thought I was going to slip. Took us a little while to discover the GZ, would have been nice and quick however the initial "chook scratch" at the location wasnt enough to unveil the hide. With WP2 in hand, we have now picked up the co-ords for WP3 of the 5/5.
After our previous DNF attempt on this one, we decided to give this another crack after our wanderings on the hill. You wont believe it, it was there !!!!! All of us looked at each other and there was frustration and relief at the same time. How annoying !!!!!! I know for a fact we ALL looked in that location a number of times and we swear it wasnt there. Fred, did you come out and place it there while we were hiking on the hill? LOL
Thanks for the cache Fred6603

We spent a good 40-50 minutes searching for this one. We checked every nook and cranny for this one but failed to find the cache. We then went for the PAF option for a hint. Even with the hint, we failed to find the cache so we decided to move on and start our ventures up the hill.
We will be back (especially since the car is parked here [:p])

After driving to southern Sydney Friday on a work trip I'm heading home via a couple of days in Wagga.
Today was a day to knock over the new power trail along with a few other caches in and around Wagga.
Having seen a container similar to this un Sunbury a few years ago I recognised this one straight away. Opeing it was a bit more involved but a temporary fix has been applied and it should last for some months.
Thank you for the cache Fred6603.

After the delights of roaming around the mountain bike park, we looked at the GPS to find that we were within 5 metres of a cache. We didn't look at the owner at first, but then when we saw it was Fred we thought this might be tricky. We eventually found it, but couldn't open it. It appeared that it may have rusted up. We asked Fred if it was OK to log a find and he generously agreed.
TFTC Fred - we are back in Sydney now, and this one makes it an even 10 of yours. Thanks for all the fun again.
