This is becoming a Bush Wee-Man saga for me.
I was about to leave home to find monkey makers Bullseye puzzle when Ferg sent an sms asking if I had found this cache yet. He told me that there had been more dnf's after me and so he was going back to see if it was there on his way to do the one further out in the swamp on the other side.
We agreed that in return for me leading him to the Bullseye puzzle he would let me tag along to this one.
Puzzle easily found and so we met back up here.
Round and round he went where he thought he had found it.
There were very few leaves on the shrubs and so it should have been easy to spot.
I went off in a different direction where I hadn't searched before.
I was sort of relieved that he couldn't find it as then I didn't look so silly.
In the end he had to admit that it appears to have gone.
May be worth taking a look Herbz.

Out caching with Bennyboppers, Lisylou and Misssusan. All four of us searched for ages but then had to give up
My second DNF on this one. This is now my only unfound one in here. I hope that someone finds it soon.
I entered the swamp yesterday afternoon after seeing Fergclan's comment that this was easy. My intention was to try to pick up all of the swampites that I still needed to retrieve. I went round and round, into the place where your feet begin to sink, back towards the path then back towards the swamp all to no avail. I decided to call Fergclan as he was the reason that I was in the swamp! No answer. I decided to try to walk towards the next one and then the phone rang it was Ferg. "Ok", said I, "you said this was easy and I can't see it anywhere." "Oh", says he, "Sometimes when it is really hard I jest a bit about the easiness." I said some bad words. "He walked me here and there backwards and forwards saying, "you must not give up." I was getting tired it was gloomy and cold. He began to tell me about all of the other swamp caches and how you need to take your shoes and socks off and get in the water. The more he talked about monsters and slime, the more that I decided that I was now going home where it was warm and dry. Needless to say I didn't find the Wee-Man and Fergclan is disappointed in me for giving up.....
Thanks Herbz for my swamp adventure. I suppose that I will have to come back...sigh.. at least the mosquitoes were tame in the cold.

On day 4 on my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab 66 caches for the day. My mind was not as sharp today as I didn't sleep that well, but I still made a good go of it. The weather was in the low twenties but the humidity had me drinking pleanty of water. Some really top cache containers today which made the finding all the more hard. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts.
Another fun day out caching around the Gold Coast with Poynts95 and Sportacuss and a few of my younger kids as well. We did a few walks and found some great caches as well. Thanks to all CO's for hiding and maintaining their caches, without their efforts, we would have nothing to find.

Working the late shift at work does have its advantages.
Like...going caching before work.
I parked at the parking co-ords and followed the trail.
At GZ I charged right past the cache into the soggy ground beyond.
HELP!!! I'm sinking. So a bit of back peddling (or was that back Paddling )
Once back on dry ground I soon found the wee fellow. I thought he was going to be blue and Scotish.
Thanks for the cache.

With much trepidation we walked down the path to the cache, spent quite a while trying to find (the damn) thing and signed the log. Had a couple of upset geokids as the "small" rating of this cache brought the hope of some loot for the journey. Sadly, there was none to be found. Anyway, after finding the slightly soggy log and haphazardly signing it with a highlighter (as we had forgotten our own ink) we headed back. Seems like the old wee man needs to get his bowels checked as he had some odd things sticking out of his rear !
This Wee-Man, was just hanging around watching the trains go by, and was quite nice to find quite easy actually. The trains sure do make a whole lot of noise going by and they are quite quick as well.
I just happen to wonder about where he has the log if that maybe hurts a little but did not seem to be complain to much.

This cache hide is the furtherest one away from my original parking spot at the roundabout near Herbz Eagles Nest. Its been a great morning with no real hassles just a lot of mossies. Lucky I brang the tropical strength aeroguard. Headed for GZ along a mountain bike path. Left the path and pretty much walked into wee-man just hangin around. My grandparents use to have heaps of these at one stage. Signed wee-mans log and headed back. Thanks Herbz for the cache and an old memory.
It's been almost a month since the Wee-Man had a visitor so he almost leapt out at us. Did the sign and made tracks to the Swamp Monster. TFTC Herbz
I took the hard way into this one. My GPS took me round in circles for a while, but he was soon spotted.
Whoops guest who forgot to bring a pencil to log the find. What a bummer Found with help from a couple of cache cardinas members including one who thought the train might jump down of the tracks and kill all of us.LOL. Thanks for the cache and bringing us in here

TFTCSL Bush wee man was very happy to see us! We were happy to see him too! We were expecting something scary after the creepy bush walk, but we were happy to have had a friendly welcome!
After fighting our way through spider webs along the path, it didn't take long to find Bush Wee Man. After signing the log, Robgold and I wished him well and set off to visit Bush King. TFTH.

Phew last one on this leg of my caching day, (waiting for kids at Movie World, why would you want to go there when you can cache for free ). Getting out was easier than getting in. TFTC
Had the afternoon spare and just couldn't wait to get out and do my favorite game.
My targets for today were all "Herbz" caches and all quite close together.
It was a beautful day to be outside, a little overcast to keep the temperature down and I just love the bush particularly when I have a track to follow.
I used some more very handy parking and route suggestions so I was pleased that I knew I was heading in the right direction and was able to cross under safely.
The track was a little churned up with moutain bikes but at least it was dryish and not muddy.
I searched around a bit at GZ then I saw the poor Wee Man, he was very lonely and indeed was happy to see me and to have a slight change in scenery for a little while.
We had a bit of a chat and a laugh as you do with little Wee Men and we reluctantly parted company as I headed off for "Bush King" and he was at least happy I was going to see the King of the Bush but he forgot to tell me what he looked like. So who is the King of the Bush?
After I had been to see the King I dropped in to see if the Wee Man was still hanging around and of course he was and his reply to me was "Of Course I am What Else Can I Do".
He was happy to have 2 visits in the space of half an hour but I'm sure will be lonely again soon, so all you cahers who haven't him yet get out there and say G'Day or Top of The Morning to You.
Thanks Herbz It's a shame you had to leave him out there but all for the sake of the game Hey!!
TFTC SL I also told him he was a favourite of mine so you get the praise too!!!

Found it No. 6748 ... enjoying a day caching with AL, loved the container that funny little thing ... TNLN ... TFTC P & J
We started searching for caches in this series yesterday and loved the experience so much that we vowed to come back today to continue hunting caches in this excellent series. We enjoyed the walk to the area of this cache but our GPS was not that useful in pinpointing the exact GZ because of the foliage cover. So we started to hunt around and after a few minutes, this delightful cache was in hand. The log was quite wet and only just signable. Some attention is needed. Thanks for another great cache anf dor the series Hebz.
After two days of heavy rain dunno why we thought this would be a good time to come out this way. What the heck the rain finally had eased time to get geomidgets outside. After a long walk down the very wet golf coarse, it was closed due to the weather, & a quick over shoot of the first waypoint we were off on the right track didn't take long to find the cache but in no way ere we going to attempt to sign the log, soggy veery soggy so on to the next. TFTC herbz.
Nice and muddy after the rain. Log needs replacing very damp and unable to make a log. Nice hide though. TFTC
Found while out with my mum {Whint & Baddal} and my sister {Gambler2000} & Captain Terror

Ah the joys of a cache listing with nice instructions and waypoints to direct finders to the cache. Certainly beats wasting time loitering around houses looking for a track. We parked at the suggested spot and headed in behind the houses. I can't imagine living here, what with all those stinky and ever so noisy bats just over the back fence. We wandered along, having to dodge sticky mud at a few points, but made the left turn and headed towards the waypoint. It was here I headed off, following the obvious trail, but some time later when it came to an end at a swamp, my navigational ability quickly came under fire. Back to the waypoint and I spotted another, less obvious track and sure enough, I led us to the bridge. Low Clearance for some, but just before we went under, a commuter train zoomed past. Wow, that was refreshing, very loud and very fast. Being so close you really feel the momentum kicking those things along. Under the bridge and followed the track to within a few metres of the cache. I spotted the Wee Man straight away and sent D Man over to retrieve him. As the log was being passed around the mozzies found us, so I was keen to head off for the next one along this trail. A great walk in an interesting area, TFTC Herbz, quite enjoyed this one
Hmmm... quite the adventure this one was... past the bats... wow those things are noisy, I would hate to live around here!! Through the mud... ewww... someone has gotten their car bogged here recently and its so boggy and wet :/
Captain Terror took us down the wrong track... back again, down the correct track... under the bridge {after a train came tearing past - wow thats loud} across the other side.... walking along, minding my own business.... OMG.... I almost stepped on a snake!! All I saw was fear!! lol... Seriously though, I saw a black snake about a metre or so long... eeeek... Captain Terror said he thought it was a red belly/black... **shudder** I bounced a round a wee bit {ok, ALOT} freaking out... I was only about 2-3 inches away from stepping on the darn thing... I so don't do snakes!! **shudder**
anyway... on we go... find the wee man easily once at GZ... cute little fellow he is too He shared his log, we signed... off on the path to the next in line

Found wee man quickly not too far off tha path.
There were a lot of mozzies trying to get us so we made for a quick sign and were on our way.
Another great cache from Herbz.

Another great little cache. We cleared the spider webs, swatted the mozzies then signed the log.
The wee man was waiting for me. Another proctological examination and the cache was in hand. TFTC Herbz.
Could more cachers please do the caches along here!
Great cache, and great fun. Just too many spiderwebs across the track that kept going in my face as i raced along the track on the mountain bike.

Thanks bedmaker for getting rid of those pesky spider webs, they have not returned by my visit today. What a cute cache container. SL TFTC
Lovely bush walk and the little man was very pleased to see us. Thank you for cache Herbz
TassieGirl and I walked a little further onto this one.
It was a little overgrown here and there but not many spider webs across the tracks now that I've been through.
Still it was an enjoyable way to spent a morning walking around the area.
Found this one all ok, TFTC.

The flying foxes were getting lively on dusk as we made our way to GZ. After taking the wrong path initially, we retraced our steps and were soon headed the right way. Very clever Herbz . Thanks [^]
What a great cache and interesting hike in to match! Lokipagan and I tackled this one and had a few aborted attempts on how to get to GZ. We finally sorted it and found the clever cache container. Everything was in good condition here. Thanks for beating the path to GZ clear for us, Crew 153 I enjoyed the nearby railway as well. TFTC Herbz
After finding the Bush King the GPS indicated that this was the nearest and that the path I had been following led in that direction so there was only one choice. Go for it.
The path was petering out by the time I found GZ and the little fellow was screaming out to me so I had to let him down for a while so that he could stretch a few muscles.
I then signed his log and put him back in the posture that I found him. Thanks Herbz, an interesting hike in.

Ms Wig insisted I go and check out this new herbz cache, so off I went. Enjoyed seeing the bats at the entry point, took a few wrong turns,
but eventually found my way to GZ. Found the cache OK and had a bit of a chuckle extracting the log... Mr Herbz has a warped sense of humour
Thanks Herbz another enjoyable cache in a great spot.

I have enjoyed the three caches in this little bushland area. They are very clever.
I left work and headed for this familiar area. I decided to park in a different spot than recommended and had a nice walk that took me through a park and past "Swamp Prince" and the "Bush King" on the way.
Nice one Team Herbz. Thanks for the cache.
Well done. Cheers.
PS. I have seen a few of these little guys lately for some reason.

I decided to set the alarm for 4am to see if I could nab an FTF ....alarm went off...reset to 4.30am after a heart starting coffee I headed off.......
Got to parking co-ords & heard all the bats found the path and disturbed a whole bunch of spiders.....found the cache & sat down to a lovely clean log book woot FTF!!! Fully expected to be racing PPTrekkers or AL to this one this morning but it wasn't to be
Headed back to the car deciding I would hit Fox n Hound, I bumped into Alias86 who also was up for a FTF on this one - got to get up early in these parts for an FTF
Nice area Herbz, enjoyed my early morning walk and a bonus in seeing the bats, nice cache

Preferring to enter from Cootharaba Dr as last time here for Bush King the rail tunnel was well under water. Easy walk to gz, much more green growth around with all the rain, but thankfully Herbz has been kind (unlike Swamp Prince ), and we kept foot ware all dry today! Coords were perfect, and Bush Wee-Man was found quickly. Thanks Herbz for another great cache! . AL & BT has also visited this morning, but not as early as Pigwig - 4.30am!!!

Found it! And LOVE it! [^] Another great Herbz cache in this area! Each has it's own unique cache. We have favourited all three of them that are close together. Thanks for a brilliant cache Herbz. [^] We enjoyed our walk through to GZ. We parked outside the walkway at 220 Mildura Drive. That worked really well. I see what you mean by 'duck under the railway line'. No wet spots on way to cache or at cache for us today. Not the trail anyway. We couldn't beat Pigwig to this one, but we did beat Persistently Pesky Trekerz though. [^] LOL!

Another fun cache from Herbz. I guessed what we'd find at the end of the and there he was, the Wee-Man, absolutely adorable. The ground today was in stark contrast to my last visit when I had to wade almost knee deep through the water. There was a special surprise along the way with some beautiful butterflies that must have come out just before we arrived. That's why we love geocaching - coming upon the unexpected. Thanks again Herbz.
