DNF after a significant search. Found a dog toy not sure if this was it but no evidence to suggest it is the cache so DNF today. The owner might like to check to see if it is still in place.
Had 3 pairs of eyes looking foumd an odd piece of rubbish but only filled with dirt so prob asbly not it. Seeing a previous log has mentioned a bulldozer has been through in past I'd say its gone.
Searched high and low but could not spot this one today, a case of cache blindness perhaps will wait and see till next visit TFTC
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Today we targeted the Whyalla Conservation Park, starting off with a few premium caches to drop off some travel bugs, then whatever came after that. I just had some treatment on my arthritic knees, so today was going to be a challenge - good or bad. We ended up with a total of 12 out of 14 today.
CO need to check on this site, refer photo. Freshly dug over by a bulldozer, so I doubt the integrity of this cache any more.

Took a bit of searching but was where you would expect it after i slowed down. You don't need to move anything big
Today's focus was to clean out Whyalla Conservation Park - I had a successful day finding all but one cache in the park. The variety of caches and vegetation, some enjoyable walks and great weather for mid winter made it a very enjoyable day.
After reading sir spectre's log I was prepared to give this cache five minutes. Only two were needed to get my hands on the cache - sometimes you just get lucky.
Thanks for the cache cslyoda.

just didn't have the time to find this one, gave up after 10 mins plus it was 35 degrees
Found with e.gregory1 during a caching foray around Whyalla for the weekend Thanks for the cache csyloda!
Found with Featherwaite on a visit to Whyalla to find a few caches. Thanks cslyoda for the cache.
Hi there cslyoda.
We found your cache **"The white Quarry"** at 12:51:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 15798).
We cached around the Whyalla area today. On our trek we found a wide variety of container types. & ended up finding 12 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

After setting up camp the night before with 3LG today we are hoping to locate as many caches in the area as possible before meeting up with The X-Trailers.We headed out towards The furtherest and worked our way back.
A great day weather wise to hunt amongst the rocks.
Co-ords were spot on for us today.

After a good lunch we set off to grab these ones which we drive past everytime we visit Whyalla, it was very nice to be in here and the weather wasnt to hot or to cold, it was just right for doing some cacheing and walking. TFTC
We deviated from our trip through the conservation park to have a go at this doozy. After 20 mins or so of fruitless searching in the blinding sun (those rocks really are WHITE) we were about to call it a day when Mrs T made the find. Victory is ours. TFTC.
After 3 failed attempts over the last 5 years or so, I came back with renewed optimism due to a recent finder and his similar experiences with this cache. Started looking but still no luck. Then stood back just like If did and thought, hmm, that's a good spot, and there it was. Success!

I tried to find this cache ... twice ... back in 2014 and failed
Today I just happened to be passing by again !! [:o]
I almost did not detour into the quarry as I had spent over an hour of me caching life here and didn't want to spend another hour !!
But, I am a geocacher to the core, and I just had to have another look
A familiar pile 'o' rocks greeted me from the driver's seat of the geomobile.
There was no rush to rush in though !!
Which is what made the difference today.
As I sat there, contemplating me fate.
A "Where would I hide it ?" moment struck me like a piece of wet haddock in the face !! [:o]
Of course ... THERE !!
Which oddly enough was where the cache was ??
I'm confused !!
But happy

Third time luck with some help feom ferret52 i was able to locate the cache. Good hide. TFTC!
Found on a road trip with DeltaDucks and Sharkbait2005. Third time lucky with evil eyed Sharkbait's help. TFTC
Didn't find for the second time. Wind blowing so hard it nearly broke the door off the hinges when I opened it. We have tried to find this before but still no luck again today. We will try again another day
No luck here today. Like .K.B. we didn't spend a lot of time as there were so many more to get.
I searched for 5 minutes but given the hundreds of caches I have to find in Whyalla, I couldn't justify a longer search. Better luck to others and thanks for hiding the cache.
DNF,DNF,DNF,DNF OK I'll give it one more shot. DNF AHHHHHHHHH A previous cacher spotted it while sitting in the geocar. Out this way again DNF SOS I need help to get this green thing off my map.
After so many dnf's and squash99's log being not date correct, we were somewhat frightened by a giant rock farm in the night. A hint from a previous finder proved to be of some use, Aussie Mary looked at the hill of rocks from a different angle and saw something out of place. Kye (sharkbait2005) retrieved the cache and we were all happy to put the cache back for the next seekers. Thanks cslyoda.
An easy find will out on a caching hunt with CPWanderer, AussieM&M and DeltaDucks. Enjoyed spending time with our visitors and geoDad. TFTC
AussieM&M made the find and Sharkbait2005 made the retrieval Thanks for the hide!!!!
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log.

One look at GZ and I went white !! [:o]
But as this was the last cache of the day, I figured I could spend half an hour or so scrambling around
No luck !!
I'll be back !!

round and round in circles lifting rocks and muttering obscenities until I eventually had to give it up as a loss.
Found It!
This one took us a while... Some friends were phoned which helped a little but eventually we just happened to pick up the right rock!

17th find of day on a caching run to Whyalla for a couple of events with TheKellyGang & Laighside Legends
Rock Piles caches almost as good as Caches in A Cactus. It is almost like a needle in a haystack but after reading the logs and even using a Phone-A-Friend on this one we did find it so guess it was that bad in the end.

Can't believe we actually found this. It said move one rock and, there are thousands out here. Feel like a real mountain climber now. Not sure where the clue came into it tho. Good luck to the next finder. Get your climbing shoes on. Took the frog and left a monkey tftc
Given that this is our third attempt we fidured we should give up and log a dnf. We have probably moved so many rocks the cache is now buried forever!
I had a look for this one once before with the family with no luck, so today I searched by myself while on a mountain bike caching ride in the area. Fortunately I found it after about a 10min hunt today. Just a word of warning for others, some of these rocks are quite loose, I had a couple of large rocks tumble down while I was climbing on them including one I went for a ride on as it went down. TFTC
Found this eventually. It was more up than GZ so go up a metre or two and check out the arrowed position.
Thanks to cslyoda and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Hot day, kids in tow, many other caches to find in the Cons.park and back at home before basketball meant a quick search and move on so DNF.
What a great hide. Took a while to find - looked like a family of mountain goats climbing all over those rocks. A of askj clan can claim this find.
I knew where this one was...it's not there and not in the immediate area of where it was. I didnt want to spend all day out here ( again ) so I left it unfound/ missing.
Discovered last night that I had missed logging a whole string of caches on a daytrip with Missyhere. Found back in July. TFTC.
Looked for ages and nearly gave up on this one before Mr Irac had one last inspired look and presto! There it was. TFTC
Found at 2.25pm GAFF1. Now here is an example where we took note of the cache name to find the cache almost immediately!
The quarry stone was most likely used for a huge house in Whyalla - we saw it as we went through trying to find a light globe for our caravan!
Just joking cslyoda - thanks for the cache.

My 3 year old Son found this one very quickly. Took him less then 2 minutes.
Great Hide.

Nice quick find. Coords spot on. Nice to find a reasonable sized cache! TFTC cslyoda
omg! this was a FTF well earned!, well so yeahright80 said!, we looked up, we looked down, we looked all around, for approx 6-7 man hrs (seriously) had no luck yesterday so searched just outside the co-ordanants, and bingo GOT IT!
Silver...woohoo! This took so long to find...very hard work in all those rocks.
Aaarrrggghhh! Caches in rock piles should be banned!
We covered the whole area over and over with 5 sets of eyes... followed the directions to move one rock at a time, were careful to put them back as found, walked away and let thew GPS bring us back again and again with no luck. You might have to check your co-ords? (we used 2 GPS's and both said it was where it wasn't)
