So I've stumbled upon another of AmstradKids' series! What have I let myself in for? But a quick find here today, at least. TFTC AmstradKid.
I parked the car up by number 85, and had a pleasant walk along the brook for the entire length of the Ghost Train series. Unfortunately the last 300m was a bit of a struggle as the path suddenly disappeared and the bush got quite dense in parts, and the grass was long.
However, as I had disturbed some dogs at the start of that section I wasn't really keen to backtrack, and pressed on, and eventually I emerged out the other side, onto a very nice path and a bridge. It didn't take me too long to find the cache, the end of a very enjoyable series.
Thanks for the cache and the series AmstradKid!

This series has been on several lists to attempt on previous forays but we had always run out of time to attempt. Today with iluvtrekking, it was on our 'must do list' and pleased to say we found them all on our first attempt - unlike the Anaconda series. So glad the long grass had been cut very recently making it an uneventful pathway to gz.
Loving this with Finleyclan tftc

Hunting ghost trains today with trevkevred....I looked for this one on the way back to the car. Must be a nice spot to sit and relax when the water is flowing.

After doing a few caches in the hills I still had some time on my hands so did a couple of caches that happened to be in the gps. An easy find. TFTC.
[:(!] Went for a late evening of caching before flying out for the Oz Mega Event, parked the geocar close to GZ and walked from there, on arrival at GZ I had the cache in hand within minutes. TGCLNSL TFTC/TFTH
A stormy day but decided it might clear up so off I went with geo dogs kev and red. Found cache easily but the rain just got heavier so unfortunately it was a quick outing and I will tackle the others when the weather
Clears up. TFTC Amstradkid

A quick find but at night time saw no sign of any trains but found the cache in the obvious location.tftc
Was somewhat confused as to how to access this series, so eventually started with this one which was a nice quick introduction to get me going. Thanks for the hunt AmstradKid.
Quick find, I just had to stand where the previous cachers had and the cache was in my hand

There has been a great sprouting of lush new vegetation all along the creek bank but this does not make finding this hide any more difficult. TFTC
Lots of workers other side of fence. I dont think it looks at all suspicious when a bloke goes into the bushes and comes out a few minutes later.
Took a bit of searching. Note to self don't use iPhone to find caches just log finds TFTH

Great to have Ghost Train 31 back on the tracks. I searched for it a week or so back, found what I thought was its hiding place but alas only the Ghost was present. With Ghost Train 31 I have now completed the Ghost Train series.
Thanks AmstradKid

I always find that when people ask me what I am doing, that it is a perfect time to introduce a future addict to Geocaching. I conveniently "never" find the cache that day, just in case, but it beats trying to come up with a convincing tale.
Well I have some good news and some bad. The good is that I found the cache. The bad is that it was in the watercourse in plain view.
On the way in I disturbed the dogs nearby and also the owners who lives on the fenceline so after I found the cache I got up the bank and was going to put it in the place I thought it had come from when I noticed that both owners were still outside and watching what I was doing so couln't put it anywhere. I decided to take it back out with me and on the way the owners wanted to know what I was doing. I spun them a story and they told me that they had got sick of the people going by and although they didn't know who they were they had watched some previous cachers looking for the cache.
I think that you should consider puting this cache further away from these owners who are reasonable but are too curious about what is going on. In the meantime I will hold the cache until I can return it to you.

The first set of dogs seemed to be more friendly than the second pair but they were just doing their job. I was lucky I had the boys along for this one as they did the retrieving.
Nice afternoon walk in the bush. TFTC.

The dogs went off but calmed down a bit once we passed their fence...
After the 44 cache close by we saw the most likely hiding spot from a distance
and went straight to it for a quick find.
Thanks for the walk in this area, the kids loved it.

FTF! Again!! Yay
Didn't like the dogs around this one either and one was huge!! Thank goodness for the fence! Make sure your wear long pants too, the not so clear path has lots of thorny branches!!
My iPhone and the GPS wouldn't agree on this one so ''he' searched where the GPS said and I followed the iphone, which took me about 20m away. This wasn't where the cache was but it gave me a good look around and I soon saw the most likely spot, it was just a manner of getting to it! We soon had the final cache in hand.
The whole time we were searching the dogs were barking so we headed back via the creek bed - which is dry - got a fair way back then climbed out and back on the not so clear path!! Back on the path and we bumped in to duncdonut73 and bsurin65!! This is only the second time we have come across fellow geocachers!! BONUS!! lol

Ran into the CassidyFamily on the way to the cache, and we were told about the dogs guarding the nearby property. The small one even managed to get through the fence as we were searching the GZ, but was too afraid to come any closer. Thankfully, the owner arrived to call it back in. Meanwhile Duncan again found the hiding spot and signed the log for us. We then decided to take the CassidyFamily's advice and followed their footprints down the creek bed. TFTC
TFTH. Beware of the prickly vines about 100mtrs from GZ.
Dogs protect neighbour's property, but are all bark.
Saw Bsurin65, Duncdonut73 and ShortcutHicksy on the way.

An early morning walk with bsurin65. Took a while for us to find, and did so after pinpointing the location on the map. Those dogs are going to wake up the ghosts here. TFTC!
